This paper is concerned with a class of fourth-order nonlinear elliptic equations with nonlocal boundary conditions, including a multi-point boundary condition in a bounded domain of Rn. Also considered is a second-order elliptic equation with nonlocal boundary condition, and the usual multi-point boundary problem in ordinary differential equations. The aim of the paper is to show the existence of maximal and minimal solutions, the uniqueness of a positive solution, and the method of construction for these solutions. Our approach to the above problems is by the method of upper and lower solutions and its associated monotone iterations. The monotone iterative schemes can be developed into computational algorithms for numerical solutions of the problem by either the finite difference method or the finite element method.  相似文献

Three important inequalities (the Poincaré, Hardy and generalized Poincaré inequalities) on the mixed boundary conditions are firstly established by some analytical techniques. Then the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions are studied for a class of semilinear elliptic equations with mixed Dirichlet-Neumann boundary conditions involving Hardy terms and Hardy-Sobolev critical exponents by using the variational methods.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with state constrained optimal control problems of elliptic equations, the control being a coefficient of the partial differential equation. Existence of an optimal control is proved and optimality conditions are derived. We perform finite-element approximations of optimal control problems and state some convergence results: we prove convergence of optimal controls and states as well as convergence of Lagrange multipliers.This research was partially supported by the Dirección General de Investigación Científica y Técnica (Madrid).  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the optimal control problem for a class of stochastic Cauchy evolution problems with nonstandard boundary dynamic and control. The model is composed by an infinite dimensional dynamical system coupled with a finite dimensional dynamics, which describes the boundary conditions of the internal system. In other terms, we are concerned with nonstandard boundary conditions, as the value at the boundary is governed by a different stochastic differential equation.  相似文献

In this paper, a superlinear elliptic equation whose coefficient diverges on the boundary is studied in any bounded domain Ω under the zero Dirichlet boundary condition. Although the equation has a singularity on the boundary, a solution is smooth on the closure of the domain. Indeed, it is proved that the problem has a positive solution and infinitely many solutions without positivity, which belong to or . In this paper, we consider a boundary control problem governed by a class of non-well-posed elliptic equations with nonlinear Neumann boundary conditions. First, the existence of optimal pairs is proved. Then by considering a well-posed penalization problem and taking limit in the optimality system for penalization problem, we obtain the necessary optimality conditions for optimal pairs of initial control problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the existence of positive solutions for singular elliptic equations with mixed Dirichlet‐Neumann boundary conditions involving Sobolev‐Hardy critical exponents and Hardy terms by using the concentration compactness principle, the strong maximum principle and the Mountain Pass lemma. In this paper we prove the optimal boundary regularity under natural structural conditions for a large class of nonlinear elliptic equations with singular terms near the boundary. By a careful construction of super- and sub-solutions, we obtain precise growth estimates for solutions at the boundary and reduce the boundary regularity to the interior one by a rescaling argument.  相似文献

Summary We study linear stochastic differential equations with affine boundary conditions. The equation is linear in the sense that both the drift and the diffusion coefficient are affine functions of the solution. The solution is not adapted to the driving Brownian motion, and we use the extended stochastic calculus of Nualart and Pardoux [16] to analyse them. We study existence of solutions to $$-\Delta u = \frac{u^p}{|x|^2}\quad u\, >\,0 \,{\rm in }\,\Omega$$ with u?=?0 on ???, where ?? is a smooth bounded domain in ${\mathbb {R}^N}$ , N??? 3 with ${0\,\in\,\partial \Omega}$ and ${1< p < \frac{N+2}{N-2}}$ . The existence of solutions depends on the geometry of the domain. On one hand, if the domain is starshaped with respect to the origin there are no energy solutions. This paper is concerned with a class of quasilinear parabolic and elliptic equations in a bounded domain with both Dirichlet and nonlinear Neumann boundary conditions. The equation under consideration may be degenerate or singular depending on the property of the diffusion coefficient. The consideration of the class of equations is motivated by some heat-transfer problems where the heat capacity and thermal conductivity are both temperature dependent. The aim of the paper is to show the existence and uniqueness of a global time-dependent solution of the parabolic problem, existence of maximal and minimal steady-state solutions of the elliptic problem, including conditions for the uniqueness of a solution, and the asymptotic behavior of the time-dependent solution in relation to the steady-state solutions. Applications are given to some heat-transfer problems and an extended logistic reaction–diffusion equation.  相似文献
