Bio-applications of plasma have been widely studied in recent years. However, considering the high interests, the inactivation mechanisms of micro-organisms by plasma have not been clearly explained. The goal of this study was to find the sterilization mechanisms and define the major sterilization factors with the atmospheric pressure radio-frequency helium glow discharge. For the sterilization target the Escherichia coli was used. To begin with the sterilization study, the plasma characteristics were investigated by means of electrical and optical diagnostics. Especially, the gas temperature was controlled under 50 °C by keeping the input power less than 70 W to eliminate the thermal effects. Contribution of the UV irradiation from the plasma was studied and it turned out to be negligible. On the other hand, it was found that the sterilization was more effective up to 40% with only 0.15% oxygen addition to the helium supply gas. It indicates that the inactivation process was dominantly controlled by oxygen radicals, rather than heat or UV photons.  相似文献

This paper reports that an atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge plasma jet, which uses argon or argon + hydrogen peroxide vapour as the working gas, is designed to sterilize the bacillus subtilis. Compared with the pure argon plasma, the bacterial inactivation efficacy has a significant improvement when hydrogen peroxide vapour is added into the plasma jet. In order to determine which factors play the main role in inactivation, several methods are used, such as determination of optical emission spectra, high temperature dry air treatment, protein leakage quantification, and scanning electron microscope. These results indicate that the possible inactivation mechanisms are the synergistic actions of chemically active species and charged species.  相似文献

研究了氮氧源大气压等离子体射流对表面大肠杆菌灭活作用,分析了氮氧源大气压等离子体射流的光谱性质.结果表明,在放电电压为6.8kV,气体流速为4L?min-1,处理3min时,氮氧比为1:4的大气压等离子体射流对大肠杆菌的灭活率达到98.4%,接近氧气源大气压等离子体射流灭菌效果.通过大气压等离子体射流发射光谱(OES)分析了氮氧源大气压等离子体射流中活性物质,进而解释大肠杆菌微生物灭活机理,认为NO-γ、OI、·OH等活性物质在表面大肠杆菌灭活过程中起到了重要作用.这将为大气压氮氧等离子体射流在环境卫生、微生物灭活等方面的应用研究提供实验基础和技术支持.  相似文献

A pulsed plasma generator ignited by plasma produced by laser radiation is described. The plasma generator can provide a relatively high-velocity plasma jet of specific chemical composition. The principal parameters of the plasma jet (its velocity, charged particle concentration, and temperature) have been measured and the properties of the plasma jet have been found to be independent of the polarity of the plasma generator ring electrode.The authors are grateful to M. In numerous recent papers plasma chemistry of non equilibrium plasma sources operating at atmospheric pressure has been linked to plasma medical effects including sterilization. In this paper we present a study of the effectiveness of an atmospheric pressure plasma source, known as plasma needle, in inhibition of the growth of biofilm produced by methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Even at the lowest powers the biofilms formed by inoculi of MRSA of 104 and 105 CFU have been strongly affected by plasma and growth in biofilms was inhibited. The eradication of the already formed biofilm was not achieved and it is required to go to more effective sources.  相似文献

In this paper the removal of the microbial contamination from paper material using the plasma treatment at atmospheric pressure is investigated. The Aspergillus niger has been chosen as a bio-indicator enabling to evaluate the effect of plasma assisted microbial inactivation. Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) operated at atmospheric pressure was used for the paper sterilization. The working gas (nitrogen, argon and helium), plasma exposition time and the plasma power density were varied in order to see the effect of the plasma treatment on the fungi removal. After the treatment, the microbial abatement was evaluated by the standard plate count method. This proved a positive effect of the DBD plasma treatment on fungi removal. Morphological and colorimetric changes of paper substrate after plasma treatment were also investigated.  相似文献

研制了一套单极性微秒脉冲阵列式等离子体射流系统,该系统可在大气压下激发产生等离子体射流,实现大面积的灭菌处理。该系统可产生峰值电压20 kV、频率15 kHz的高压脉冲,激发产生的射流均匀稳定,覆盖面积达37.7 cm2,射流长度达6 cm,射流功率为40.05 W,处理5 min可使射流覆盖范围内的枯草芽孢杆菌的芽孢基本全部失去活性。考察了不同参数对灭菌效率的影响,结果表明,灭菌率与工作电压、脉冲频率、处理时间呈正相关,在氦气氛围下有较好的灭菌效果。SEM显示等离子体射流能够对枯草芽孢杆菌的芽孢外壳结构造成损坏,导致芽孢无法正常代谢,最终死亡。  相似文献

研究了大气压冷等离子体射流对子宫颈癌Hela细胞的灭活机制. 在倒置显微镜下观察不同等离子体处理条件下的细胞形态, 并通过中性红吸收测试定量测定各个条件下的细胞存活率. 将功率维持在18 W, 在900 mL/min 氩等离子体中添入氧气的百分含量分别为1%, 2%, 4% 和8%的条件下处理Hela细胞, 探讨活性气体氧气在惰性气体氩气中的百分含量对Hela癌细胞灭活效率的影响, 发现添加2%氧气时, 氩/氧等离子体灭活效果最佳, 处理180 s后细胞存活率可降至7%. 当继续添加氧超过2%时, 灭活效果逐渐减弱, 直至8%时, 其效果反而不如单纯氩等离子体. 通过测量等离子体发射光谱, 结果表明活性氧自由基在癌细胞灭活过程中可能起关键作用. 关键词: 大气压冷等离子体射流 Hela癌细胞 存活率 发射光谱  相似文献

This paper reports that a new plasma generator at atmospheric pressure, which is composed of two homocentric cylindrical all-metal tubes, successfully generates a cold plasma jet. The inside tube electrode is connected to ground, the outside tube electrode is connected to a high-voltage power supply, and a dielectric layer is covered on the outside tube electrode. When the reactor is operated by low-frequency (6 kHz--20 kHz) AC supply in atmospheric pressure and argon is steadily fed as a discharge gas through inside tube electrode, a cold plasma jet is blown out into air and the plasma gas temperature is only 25--30℃. The electric character of the discharge is studied by using digital real-time oscilloscope (TDS 200-Series), and the discharge is capacitive. Preliminary results are presented on the decontamination of E.colis bacteria and Bacillus subtilis bacteria by this plasma jet, and an optical emission analysis of the plasma jet is presented in this paper. The ozone concentration generated by the plasma jet is 1.0×1016cm-3 which is acquired by using the ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy.  相似文献

The ability to produce cold plasma at atmospheric pressure conditions was the basis for the rapid growth of plasma related application areas in biomedicine. Plasma comprises a multitude of active components such as charged particles, electric current, UV radiation, and reactive species which can act synergistically. The antiitch, antimicrobial, and anti‐inflammatory effect was already demonstrated in in vivo and in vitro experiments and until now no resistance of pathogens against plasma treatment was observed. The combination of the different active agents and their broad range of positive effects on various diseases, especially easily accessible skin diseases, render plasma quite attractive for applications in medicine. Hence, plasma medicine as an independent and promising medical field has been emerged recently. For medical applications two different types of cold plasma are suitable; indirect (plasma jet, plasma torch) and direct plasma sources (dielectric barrier discharge ‐ DBD). So far, no standards and norms are defined for any of these plasma sources. Also, no convenient criteria for standardization of the quality rating of plasma in the view of dermatological applications exist. Although various cold plasma studies have been performed the results are hardly comparable, as physical parameters of the plasma devices, experimental conditions, and organisms used vary greatly. Therefore, standardized risk analyses are necessary for the assessment of different plasma sources. In this review two plasma sources are described and possible risk factors are discussed to estimate the safety of plasma used as a therapeutic tool in dermatology. (© 2014 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. 目前, 等离子体发射光谱应用于中频丙酮等离子体的研究鲜有报道。自建大气压氩∕丙酮喷射中频交流放电等离子体装置, 采用HR2000光纤光栅光谱仪对放电光谱进行记录, 并对实验中的光谱信号进行分析诊断。研究结果说明, 对大气压环境下, 使用氩气为“载气”, 对可挥发有机溶剂进行等离子发射光谱分析是一种可行的技术; 大气压下丙酮等离子体的活性成分和真空环境下丙酮等离子体产生的活性成分有很大区别, 氧元素对两种气压下等离子体活性成分有很大改变; 这种诊断方法对大气压下挥发性有机试剂的等离子体化学反应原理的研究, 有重要的指导意义。此外, 文中展示了大气压下丙酮沉积膜在两种光源下的形貌图, 结果说明在一定实验条件下得到了连续的沉积膜。  相似文献

自行研制的等离子体针在大气压下通过介质阻挡放电产生的等离子体,再由喷嘴处安装的漏斗形装置聚焦形成针状等离子体. 然后对针状等离子体的基本特性和杀Enterococcus faecalisE. faecalis)菌进行了研究,E. faecalis菌是一种引起完善充填根管再感染的主要微生物. 当等离子体针功率为5—28?W时,对等离子体的温度进行了测量,表明它不同于其他热杀菌方式. 通过改变等离子体针内电极末端注入的氧气量,发现适当的氧气量,不仅增加等离子体内含氧粒子的浓度而且对等离子体的长度影响也不明显. 实验表明最佳参数为功率15?W,0.1?m3·h-1氦和2.5%氧气,间距12?mm,处理时间30 s. 为了找出杀菌的关键粒子,进一步比较了大气压下的等离子体针的发射光谱与agar(琼脂)2?mm下的光谱并找出关键粒子. 关键词: 大气压等离子体 介质阻挡放电 E. faecalis菌')" href="#">E. faecalis菌 光谱  相似文献

 微波等离子体相对其它等离子体而言有很多的优点,具有极高的工业应用价值。但在大气条件下,大体积的微波等离子体较难获得。为达到产生该种微波等离子体并将之应用的目的,特设计了一台环形波导反应腔设备并从事了等离子体激发的相关研究。介绍了该设备的设计思路,给出了常用的非磁化微波等离子体工作气体的击穿曲线,通过软件仿真得到了反应腔内的电场分布,并陈述了微波等离子体反应的基本现象。结合试验的结果,证明了软件仿真的正确性和装置的有效性。目前,该装置可在大气压下顺利激发一定体积的氦、氩等离子体。  相似文献

The sterilization of the simulated unearthed silk fabrics using an atmospheric pressure plasma jet(APPJ) system employing Ar/O_2 or He/O_2 plasma to inactivate the mycete attached on the silk fabrics is reported. The effects of the APPJ characteristics(particularly the gas type and discharge power) on the fabric strength, physical-chemical structures,and sterilizing efficiency were investigated. Experimental results showed that the Ar/O_2 APPJ plasma can inactivate the mycete completely within 4.0 min under a discharge power of 50.0 W. Such an APPJ treatment had negligible impact on the mechanical strength of the fabric and the surface chemical characteristics. Moreover, the Ar ions, O and OH radicals were shown to play important roles on the sterilization of the mycete attached on the unearthed silk fabrics.  相似文献

使用改进介质阻挡放电装置生成常压射流等离子体,采用光纤光栅光谱仪在300~1 000 nm范围记录了不同放电电压的氩气发射光谱,并比较了空气和氩气常压介质阻挡放电等离子体发射光谱,分析发现氩气发射光谱中的谱线都是氩原子的发射谱线,表明常压射流装置产生的等离子体全部为氩等离子体,而无其他空气成分参与放电。为测量电子激发温度,选用相距较近的763.51和772.42 nm两条光谱线对电子温度进行分析,结果表明电子激发温度的范围在0.1~0.3 eV,而且它还随着放电电压的增加而增加。初步使用“红外测温仪”测量被处理材料表面温度,结果发现材料表面的温度也随着放电电压的增加而增加,范围在50~100 ℃,材料表面温度的变化趋势可以近似表征等离子体宏观温度变化趋势。通过分析常压射流等离子体的温度特性,探讨了常压射流等离子体温度对材料改性研究的意义。  相似文献

An experimental installation with a laser plasmatron based on a continuous wave CO2 laser with a radiation power of up to 3.5 kW has been created. The plasmatron design makes it possible to bring out the plasma jet into atmospheric air both along and across the laser beam direction. The spatial temperature distributions on the metal substrate surface heated by the plasma jet are measured. The threshold power for optical discharge maintenance as a function of the gas flow rate and the focal length of the focusing lens are obtained for an Ar and Ar/CH4/H2 gas mixture under atmospheric pressure; the radiation spectrum of the discharge plasma is measured. A one-dimensional model of the discharge for estimation of its geometrical parameters in a convergent laser beam with consideration of radiation refraction on the discharge is given.  相似文献

The sterilization of E. coli (ATCC8099) using an atmospheric pressure, air DBD plasma driven by 100 Hz high-voltage power supply was investigated in this paper. The results showed that germicidal efficiency was closely related to the plasma treatment time, the gap spacing, the initial cell density and the surface characters of substrate materials. The germicidal efficiency was 99.999% under the conditions of 5-min plasma treatment, 3-cm gap spacing and on PET films. After plasma exposure for 5 min, the temperature was observed below 43 °C which could not lead to inactivate E. coli. The observation of protein leakage and cell morphology alteration by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques revealed that the etching action on cell membrane by electrons, ions and radicals was primary reason of DBD air plasma sterilization.  相似文献
