A nonlocal boundary value problem for a degenerating third-order pseudo-parabolic equation with variable coefficients is considered. For solving this problem, a priori estimates in the differential and difference forms are obtained. The a priori estimates imply the uniqueness and stability of the solution on a layer with respect to the initial data and the right-hand side and the convergence of the solution of the difference problem to the solution of the differential problem.  相似文献

Boundary value problems are considered for degenerating and nondegenerating differential equations of the Sobolev type with a nonlocal source as well as finite-difference methods for solving these problems. A priori estimates are derived for solving the problems posed in differential and difference interpretations. The well-posedness of the nonlocal boundary-value problem for abstract parabolic differential equations in Bochner spaces is established. The first and second order of accuracy difference schemes for the approximate solutions of this problem are considered. The coercive inequalities for the solutions of these difference schemes are established. Numerical solution of hyperbolic partial differential equation with an integral condition continues to be a major research area with widespread applications in modern physics and technology. Many physical phenomena are modeled by nonclassical hyperbolic boundary value problems with nonlocal boundary conditions. In place of the classical specification of boundary data, we impose a nonlocal boundary condition. Partial differential equations with nonlocal boundary specifications have received much attention in last 20 years. However, most of the articles were directed to the second‐order parabolic equation, particularly to heat conduction equation. We will deal here with new type of nonlocal boundary value problem that is the solution of hyperbolic partial differential equations with nonlocal boundary specifications. These nonlocal conditions arise mainly when the data on the boundary can not be measured directly. Several finite difference methods have been proposed for the numerical solution of this one‐dimensional nonclassic boundary value problem. These computational techniques are compared using the largest error terms in the resulting modified equivalent partial differential equation. Numerical results supporting theoretical expectations are given. Restrictions on using higher order computational techniques for the studied problem are discussed. Suitable references on various physical applications and the theoretical aspects of solutions are introduced at the end of this article. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Under consideration is some problem for inhomogeneous differential evolution equation in Banach space with an operator that generates a C 0-continuous semigroup and a nonlocal integral condition in the sense of Stieltjes. In case the operator has continuous inhomogeneity in the graph norm. We give the necessary and sufficient conditions for existence of a generalized solution for the problem of whether the nonlocal data belong to the generator domain. Estimates on solution stability are given, and some conditions are obtained for existence of the classical solution of the nonlocal problem. All results are extended to a Sobolev-type linear equation, the equation in Banach space with a degenerate operator at the derivative. The time nonlocal problem for the partial differential equation, modeling a filtrating liquid free surface, illustrates the general statements.  相似文献

In this paper, the initial-value problem for integral-differential equation of the hyperbolic type in a Hilbert space H is considered. The unique solvability of this problem is established. The stability estimates for the solution of this problem are obtained. The difference scheme approximately solving this problem is presented. The stability estimates for the solution of this difference scheme are obtained. In applications, the stability estimates for the solutions of the nonlocal boundary problem for one-dimensional integral-differential equation of the hyperbolic type with two dependent limits and of the local boundary problem for multidimensional integral-differential equation of the hyperbolic type with two dependent limits are obtained. A nonlinear eigenvalue problem for a linear system of ordinary differential equations is examined on a semi-infinite interval. The problem is supplemented by nonlocal conditions specified by a Stieltjes integral. At infinity, the solution must be bounded. In addition to these basic conditions, the solution must satisfy certain redundant conditions, which are also nonlocal. A numerically stable method for solving such a singular overdetermined eigenvalue problem is proposed and analyzed. The essence of the method is that this overdetermined problem is replaced by an auxiliary problem consistent with all the above conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a final value problem for first order abstract differential equation with positive self-adjoint unbounded operator coefficient. This problem is ill-posed. Perturbing the final condition we obtain an approximate nonlocal problem depending on a small parameter. We show that the approximate problems are well posed and that their solutions converge if and only if the original problem has a classical solution. We also obtain estimates of the solutions of the approximate problems and a convergence result of these solutions. Finally, we give explicit convergence rates.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the quenching rate of the solution for a nonlocal parabolic problem which arises in the study of the micro-electro mechanical system. This question is equivalent to the stabilization of the solution to the transformed problem in self-similar variables. First, some a priori estimates are provided. In order to construct a Lyapunov function, due to the lack of time monotonicity property, we then derive some very useful and challenging estimates by a delicate analysis. Finally, with this Lyapunov function, we prove that the quenching rate is self-similar which is the same as the problem without the nonlocal term, except the constant limit depends on the solution itself.  相似文献

We study the coefficient stability of a difference scheme approximating a mixed problem for a one-dimensional semilinear parabolic equation. We obtain sufficient conditions on the input data under which the solutions of the differential and difference problems are bounded. We also obtain estimates of perturbations of the solution of a linearized difference scheme with respect to perturbations of the coefficients; these estimates agree with the estimates for the differential problem.  相似文献

We study the spectral problem for the system of difference equations of a two-dimensional elliptic partial differential equation with nonlocal conditions. A new form of two-point nonlocal conditions that involve interior points is proposed. The matrix of the difference system is nonsymmetric thus different types of eigenvalues occur. The conditions for the existence of the eigenvalues and their corresponding eigenvectors are presented for the one dimensional problem. Approximation of source identification problem for elliptic equation with integral-type nonlocal condition is discussed. The first order of accuracy difference scheme for elliptic nonlocal identification problem is studied. By using spectral resolution of a self-adjoint operator, we establish stability inequalities for solution of constructed scheme. Subsequently, the difference scheme for approximate solution of multidimensional boundary value problem with integral-type nonlocal and first kind boundary conditions is investigated on stability.
