This paper describes a theoretical method for analyzing the behaviour of65Zn during solvent extraction from ammonium thiocyanate solutions with dialkyl sulphoxides. The mechanism of extraction of Zn/II/ from thiocyanate medium by sulphoxides may be represented by the following general equation: $$xM_{aq}^{m + } + ySCN_{aq}^ - + zS_{org} \rightleftharpoons [M_x /SCN/_y ]^{mx - y} .zS_{org} $$ where Mm+ is the metal ion and S is the extractant. Expressions for the distribution coefficients were derived taking into account complexation of the metal in the aqueous phase by inorganic ligands and also the dissociation of the extracted ion-pairs in the organic phase. Using these expressions, the values of the extraction constants were determined by a least-squares fit with the experimental extraction data. From these extraction constants, the various species extracted into the organic phase were resolved. The influence of the metal concentration, temperature and the diluent on the extraction of Zn/II/ has been investigated.  相似文献

1,2,3-Benzotriazole /1,2,3-BT/ has been used for the radiochemical separation of Mn/II/ employing solvent extraction technique. Based on various parameters such as pH effect, time of equilibration and effect of various solvents, etc. the ideal conditions for the extraction of Mn/II/ was evaluated. The stoichiometry of the metal to reagent was determined by the substoichiometric extraction and slope-ratio method and found to be 12. The effect of anions on the extraction value of Mn/II/ revealed that a large number of anions do not interfere. Separation factors for various elements were also studied and the extraction found to be selective.  相似文献

A rapid method has been described for the quantitative extraction of milligram amounts of Mn/II/ with 2-PRONAPOX into CHCl3. The extraction coefficient /E/ of Mn/II/ between CHCl3 and aqueous solution containing 0.2M NH4Cl shows a maximum value of E=143 at pH 10.5. The percentage extraction is better than 98% in the pH range from 9 to 11 and an equilibration time of 6 min. The effects of anions and cations have been studied. The stoichiometry of metal: reagent determined by substoichiometric extraction and slope ratio method is found to be 12. The decontamination factors for most of the elements are better than 104 in the substoichiometric extraction of Mn/II/.  相似文献

Rapid methods have been described for the quantitative extraction of milligram amounts of Zn(II), Cu(II) and Sb(III) with TMBHA into chloroform. The separation factor for many elements was found to be at least greater than 104. The metal: reagent stoichiometry determined by methods like slope ratio, mole ratio and substoichiometric extraction were found to be 12 for Zn(II) and Cu(II), and 23 for Sb(III).  相似文献

A novel separation method was developed for the extraction and chromatographic separation of copper(II). The quantative extraction of 25.0–125.0 μg copper(II) has been observed from 0.05 to 0.25 mol/L of ascorbic acid at pH 9.0–12.0 with 0.087 mol/L N-n-octylaniline (liquid anion exchanger) coated on silica gel at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. The extracted metal ion has been recovered by eluting with 25.0 ml of 1.0 mol/L hydrochloric acid and determined spectrophotometrically by rubeanic acid method. The various influencing parameters viz. acid concentrations, reagent concentration, eluates effect of pH, and effect of flow rate on extraction were studied. The method is free from large number of interferences from cations and anions. A scheme for mutual separation of copper(II), gold(III) and bismuth(III) has been developed. Copper(II) has been separated from ayurvedic (Herbal) medicine and synthetic mixtures corresponding to alloy. The log–log plot of N-n-octylaniline concentration versus the distribution coefficient indicates that the probable extracted species is [.  相似文献

The formation constants of the protonated complexes of Cd(II) and Zn(II) with salicylic acid (H2Sal) and the equilibrium constants for the extraction of these complexes into cyclohexane containing tributyl phosphate (TBP) have been determined. For the complex formation:
log K11 is 1.9 for Cd(II) and 1.4 for Zn(II) at 30°C and 0.1 M NaClO4. For the extraction:
log Kex is ?1.6 for Cd(1I) and ?2.2 for Zn(II).  相似文献

We have developed a new method for solid phase extraction (SPE) and preconcentration of trace amounts of cadmium and zinc using cross linked chitosan that was functionalized with 2-aminopyridine-3-carboxy acid. Analytical parameters, sample pH, effect of flow rate, sample volume, and concentration of eluent on column SPE were investigated. The effect of matrix ions on the recovery of cadmium and zinc has been investigated and were found not to interfere with preconcentration. Under the optimum experimental conditions, the preconcentration factors for Cd(II) and Zn(II) were found to be 90. The two elements were quantified via atomic absorption spectrometry. The detection limits for cadmium and zinc are 21 and 65?ng?L?1, respectively. The method was evaluated by analyzing a certified reference material (NIST 1643e; water) and has been successfully applied to the analysis of cadmium and zinc in environmental water samples.

The metal ions enriched by functionalized chitosan were eluted with acid and determined by AAS.  相似文献

Synergic extraction of Ni/II/ at pH 1 to 10 was studied using a mixture of 2-thenoyltrifluoroacetone /HTTA/ and tribenzylamine /TBA/ in chloroform. The synergist TBA enhances the extraction of Ni/II/ by an order of 5 from pH 3 to 5 having ionic strength 0.1M /H+, ClO 4 /. The synergic adduct was found to be Ni/TTA/2.2TBA. The equilibrium constants K2,0 and K2,2 and stability constant 2,2 have been ascertained radiometrically. The influence of various cations and anions on the extraction of Ni/II/ has been examined under optimal conditions. Back extraction of the adduct species in different acids of varying concentrations has been studied.  相似文献

Summary Sensitive extraction-spectrophotometric procedures are described for the complexes of Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) with 5-Br-PADAP using chloroform as solvent. Optimal conditions have been established for the quantitative extraction of the metal chelates and their composition and optical characteristics have been determined as well. The conditional extraction constants amount logK ex=10, the molar absorptivities of the complexes being 105 l·mole–1·cm–1. Job's method and equilibrium shift method indicate the molar ratios M5-Br-PADAP=12.
