Prime ideals in 0-distributive posets

In the first section of this paper, we prove an analogue of Stone’s Theorem for posets satisfying DCC by using semiprime ideals. We also prove the existence of prime ideals in atomic posets in which atoms are dually distributive. Further, it is proved that every maximal non-dense (non-principal) ideal of a 0-distributive poset (meet-semilattice) is prime. The second section focuses on the characterizations of (minimal) prime ideals in pseudocomplemented posets. The third section deals with the generalization of the classical theorem of Nachbin. In fact, we prove that a dually atomic pseudocomplemented, 1-distributive poset is complemented if and only if the poset of prime ideals is unordered. In the last section, we have characterized 0-distributive posets by means of prime ideals and minimal prime ideals.     

Closed Prime Ideals in Algebras with Semiprime Multiplication Algebra

Let A be an algebra whose multiplication algebra M(A) is semiprime. We prove that, except in an exceptional case, the proper closed prime ideals of A are the maximal closed ideals of A, for the closure operations π and ?. In fact, these sets agree for both closures. The same can be said in M(A) for the closure operations π and ?′. Moreover, we establish the relationships between the proper closed prime ideals of A and the ones of the algebras M(A),U and A/U, for a given ideal U of A.     

Redefined generalized fuzzy ideals of near-rings

With a new idea, we redefine generalized fuzzy subnear-rings(ideals) of a near- ring and investigate some of its related properties. Some new characterizations are given. In particular, we introduce the concepts of strong prime(or semiprime) (∈,∈∨q)-fuzzy ideals of near-rings, and discuss the relationship between strong prime(or semiprime) (∈,∈∨q)-fuzzy ideals and prime(or semiprime) (∈,∈∨q)-fuzzy ideals of near-rings.     

Quantale中的素根定理

在Quantale中引入了m系的概念,利用m系讨论了Quantale中素理想和半素理想之间的关系.在此基础上证明了当Q是可换Quantale时,Id(Q)是空间式Quantale当且仅当Q中的任一理想都是半素理想.最后把环和序半群中的素根定理推广到Quantak中,得到了Quantale中的素根定理.

探讨Fuzzy半群中Fuzzy素理想,Fuzzy 完全理想与Fuzzy理想的根的一些代数性质,证明Fuzzy半群中每一个Fuzzy理想是Fuzzy完全半素理想当且仅当它可表为一族Fuzzy完全素理想之交。     

On Whitney numbers of the order ideals of generalized fences and crowns

We solve some recurrences given by E. Munarini and N. Zagaglia Salvi proving explicit formulas for Whitney numbers of the distributive lattices of order ideals of the fence poset and crown poset. Moreover, we get a method to obtain explicit formulas for Whitney numbers of lattices of order ideals of fences with higher asymmetric peaks.     

On n-normal posets

A poset Q is called n-normal, if its every prime ideal contains at most n minimal prime ideals. In this paper, using the prime ideal theorem for finite ideal distributive posets, some properties and characterizations of n-normal posets are obtained.     

The Involutory Dimension of Involution Posets

The involutory dimension, if it exists, of an involution poset P:=(P,,) is the minimum cardinality of a family of linear extensions of , involutory with respect to , whose intersection is the ordering . We show that the involutory dimension of an involution poset exists iff any pair of isotropic elements are orthogonal. Some characterizations of the involutory dimension of such posets are given. We study prime order ideals in involution posets and use them to generate involutory linear extensions of the partial ordering on orthoposets. We prove several of the standard results in the theory of the order dimension of posets for the involutory dimension of involution posets. For example, we show that the involutory dimension of a finite orthoposet does not exceed the cardinality of an antichain of maximal cardinality. We illustrate the fact that the order dimension of an orthoposet may be different from the involutory dimension.

NILPOTENCY,SOLVABILITY AND RADICALS IN CATEGORIES

Abstract

Nilpotent and solvable ideals are defined and investigated in categories. The relation between the prime radical and the sum of the solvable ideals (which is also a radical) is discussed in categories. For example: If an object satisfies the maximal condition for ideals, then the prime radical is equal to the sum of the solvable ideals. Certain generalizations of theorems in rings, groups, Lie algebras, etc. are also proven, for example: An ideal α: I → A is semiprime if and only if A/I contains no non-zero nilpotent ideals.

On extensions of ideals in posets

Two kinds of order ideals, namely, the n-prime ideals and k-closed ideals of a poset are introduced and shown to be equivalent in the sense that an order-ideal is (n+1)-prime if and only if it is n-closed. Also a prime radical theorem for these ideals is proved.     

Rings of quotients of f-rings by gabriel filters of ideals

The article examines the role of Gabriel filters of ideals in the ontext of semiprime f-rings. It is shown that for every 2-convex semiprime f-ring Aand every multiplicative filter B of dense ideals the ring of quotients of A by B, namely the direct limit of the Hom _A (I, A) over all I∈ B, is an l-subring of QA, the maximum ring of quotients. Relative to the category of all commutative rings with identity, it is shown that for every 2-convex semiprime f-ring A qA, the classical ring of quotients, is the largest flat epimorphic extension of A. If Ais also a Prüfer ring then it follows that every extension of Ain qA is of the form S ^-1A for a suitable multiplicative subset S. The paper also examines when a Utumi ring of quotients of a semiprime f-ring is obtained from a Gabriel filter. For a ring of continuous functions C(X), with Xcompact, this is so for each C(U) and C ^*(U), when Uis dense open, but not for an arbitrary direct limit of C(U),taken over a filter base of dense open sets. In conclusion, it is shown that, for a complemented semiprime f-ring A, the ideals of Awhich are torsion radicals with respect to some hereditary torsion theory are precisely the intersections of minimal prime ideals of A.

An Upper Bound for the Regularity of Ideals of Borel Type

We show that the regularity of monomial ideals of K[x ₁,…, x _n ] (K being a field), whose associated prime ideals are totally ordered by inclusion is upper bounded by a linear function in n.     

On right S-Noetherian rings and S-Noetherian modules

In this paper we study right S-Noetherian rings and modules, extending notions introduced by Anderson and Dumitrescu in commutative algebra to noncommutative rings. Two characterizations of right S-Noetherian rings are given in terms of completely prime right ideals and point annihilator sets. We also prove an existence result for completely prime point annihilators of certain S-Noetherian modules with the following consequence in commutative algebra: If a module M over a commutative ring is S-Noetherian with respect to a multiplicative set S that contains no zero-divisors for M, then M has an associated prime.     

Linked Primes and Orders in Artinian Rings

It is shown that prime ideals of a Noetherian ring are linked if and only if certain corresponding prime ideals are linked in an associated Artinian ring. Furthermore, it is shown that there is a canonical linking ideal, which can be found by using a construction based on middle annihilator ideals.     

A Prime Ideal Principle for Two-Sided Ideals

Many classical ring-theoretic results state that an ideal that is maximal with respect to satisfying a special property must be prime. We present a “Prime Ideal Principle” that gives a uniform method of proving such facts, generalizing the Prime Ideal Principle for commutative rings due to T. Y. Lam and the author. Old and new “maximal implies prime” results are presented, with results touching on annihilator ideals, polynomial identity rings, the Artin–Rees property, Dedekind-finite rings, principal ideals generated by normal elements, strongly noetherian algebras, and just infinite algebras.
