Online The decay rate variation of r Be implanted into platinum and aluminum host materials has been measured via detecting the 478 keV γ-rays from the first excited state of r Li populated in the electron capture decay of7r Be. The result (λpt - λA1)λ0 = (-0.17 ± 0.13)% is obtained. It is smaller than the theoretical estimate from the TB-LMTO calculation (0.38%). This is quite different from our previous study which showed a 1arger decay rate variation ((0.8 ± 0.2)%) than the TB-LMTO calculation (0.30%) of 7 Be in palladium and gold. It is suggested that the effective quasi-free electron density near the implanted ions in different metal host materials may play an important role in r Be EC decay rate variation in addition to the electronic affinity and crystal structure of different host materials.  相似文献

Platinum and gold have the similar crystal structure but different electronic affinities, as well as different effective electron densities near the implanted ions. Both the differences favour larger decay rate of ^7 Be in Pd than that in Au. We measured the variation of the decay rate of ^7Be implanted in Pd and Au host materials. We have found that the decay rate of ^7 Be in Pd is larger than that in Au by 0.8%.  相似文献

We have measured the possible change of the decay rate of ^7Be implanted into hosts of natural beryllium and natural gold. No difference between the ^7 Be decay rates in the two hosts is observed within the experimental precision of 0.12%. This result implies that change of the decay rate of ^7Be implanted in different materials cannot be simply expected from the electron affinity difference consideration lonely and the lattice structure of the host materials should be taken into account.  相似文献

A new decay detection system with high detection efficiency and low detection threshold has been developed for charged-particle decay studies, including -delayed proton, decay or direct proton emission from proton-rich nuclei. The detection system was tested by using the -delayed proton emitter 24Si and was commissioned in the decay study of 22Si produced by projectile fragmentation at the First Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou. Under a continuous-beam mode, the isotopes of interest were implanted into two double-sided silicon strip detectors, where the subsequent decays were measured and correlated to the preceding implantations by using position and time information. The system allows to measure protons with energies down to about 200 keV without obvious background in the proton spectrum. Further application of the detection system can be extended to the measurements of -delayed proton decay and the direct proton emission of other exotic proton-rich nuclei.  相似文献

A transfer-reaction experiment of ~9Be(~9Be,~(10)Be)~8Be was performed at a beam energy of 45 Me V.Excited states in ~(10)Be up to 18.80 Me V are produced using missing mass and invariant mass methods.Most of the observed high-lying resonant states,reconstructed from theα+~6He and t+~7Li decay channels,agree with the previously reported results.In addition,two new resonances at 15.6 and 18.8 Me V are identified from the present measurement.The 18.55 Me V state is found to decay into both the t + ~7Lig:s: and t + ~7Li?(0.478 MeV) channels, with a relative branching ratio of 0:93 ± 0:33. Further theoretical investigations are encouraged to interpret this new information on cluster structure in neutron-rich light nuclei.  相似文献

用两套γ谱仪精确测量了注入到天然铍和天然金中的7Be发生电子俘获的半衰期.测得7Be在天然铍中半衰期为53.275(25)d,在天然Au中为53.270(19)d.该结果还表明,在这两种材料中7Be半衰期的相对变化小于0.12%. The half-life of 7Be implanted in natural beryllium and in natural gold has been measured with high precision using two high-purity germanium detectors. T_(1/2)=53.275(25) d in natural beryllium and T_(1/2)=53.270(19) d in natural gold is obtained. Within our experimental precision, the difference in the effect of host media beryllium and gold on the half-life of 7Be isn t observed and an upper limit 0.12% of this effect can be set.  相似文献

This work explores the effect of spontaneous emission on coherence generation and population transfer in a threelevel ladder atomic system driven by two pulses in counterintuitive order.With adiabatic evolution and the weakdephasing approximation,we find that a large coherence and population transfer can be achieved even with spontaneous decay rate.The maximum coherence and population transfer decrease with the increase of spontaneous decay rate from the highest state to intermediate state.But this effect can be compensated by shortening the pulse width and enlarging the delay time.Results show that the coherence generation and population transfer never depend on the spontaneous decay rate from the intermediate state to ground state.The validity of the analytic solution is examined by numerical calculation.  相似文献

We perform a theoretical study on dynamic interference in single photon ionization of ground state hydrogen atoms in the presence of a super-intense ultra-fast chirped laser pulse of different chirp types(equal-power and equal-FWHM laser pulses) by numerically solving the time-dependent Schr ¨odinger equation in one dimension. We investigate the influences of peak intensity and chirp parameters on the instantaneous ionization rate and photoelectron yield, respectively. We also compare the photoelectron energy spectra for the ionization by the laser pulses with different chirp types. We find that the difference between the instantaneous ionization rates for the ionization of hydrogen atom driven by two different chirped laser pulses is originated from the difference in variation of vector potentials with time.  相似文献

We calculate the two-proton decay width of the 6Be nucleus employing the schematic densitydependent contact potential for the proton-proton pairing interaction. The decay width is calculated with a time-dependent method, in which the two-proton emission is described as a time-evolution of a threebody meta-stable state. Model-dependence of the two-proton decay width has been shown by comparing the results obtained with the two different pairing models, schematic density-dependent contact and Minnesota interactions, which have zero and finite ranges, respectively.  相似文献

First-principle calculations within the density functional theory framework are used to study the probability of electron capture for the ~7Be nucleus.For this purpose,electron density at the ~7Be nucleus is computed in Al,Au,Pd,Pt,and Pb environments.Our results show that the half-life of ~7Be is changed by implanting ~7Be in host environments.Electron affinity of the media and confinement effects are responsible for the change in the half-life of ~7Be nucleus.Moreover,electric potential at the ~7Be nucleus is calculated.Results show that variations in electric potential are usually consistent with those in electron density at the ~7Be nucleus.  相似文献

The decay rate of 7Be electron capture was measured in C60 and Be metal with a reference method. The half-life of 7Be endohedral C60 ((7)Be@C(60)) and 7Be in Be metal (Be metal (7Be)) is found to be 52.68+/-0.05 and 53.12+/-0.05 days, respectively. This amounts to a 0.83% difference in electron-capture decay half-life between (7)Be@C(60) and Be metal (7Be). Our result is a reflection of the different electron wave functions for (7)Be@C(60) inside C60 compared to the situation when 7Be is in a Be metal.  相似文献

The electron-capture (EC) decay rate of (7)Be in C(60) at the temperature of liquid helium (T=5 K) was measured and compared with the rate in Be metal at T=293 K. We found that the half-life of (7)Be in endohedral C(60) ((7)Be@C(60)) at a temperature close to T=5 K is 52.47+/-0.04 d, a value that is 0.34% faster than that at T=293 K. In this environment, the half-life of (7)Be is nearly 1.5% faster than that inside Be metal at room temperature (T=293 K). We then interpreted our observations in terms of calculations of the electron density at the (7)Be nucleus position inside the C(60); further, we estimate theoretically the temperature dependence (at T=0 K and 293 K) of the electron density at the Be nucleus position in the stable center inside C(60). The theoretical estimates were almost in agreement with the experimental observations.  相似文献

We report on the first observation of dineutron emission in the decay of 16Be. A single-proton knockout reaction from a 53 MeV/u 17B beam was used to populate the ground state of 16Be. 16Be is bound with respect to the emission of one neutron and unbound to two-neutron emission. The dineutron character of the decay is evidenced by a small emission angle between the two neutrons. The two-neutron separation energy of 16Be was measured to be 1.35(10) MeV, in good agreement with shell model calculations, using standard interactions for this mass region.  相似文献

Complex fragments of 3<Z⪅35 have been detected in the reverse-kinematics reactions of 93Nb plus 9Be, 12C and 27Al at bombarding energies of E/A=11.4, 14.7 and 18.0 MeV. Velocity spectra and angular distributions show the presence of projectile and target-like components along with a component isotropic (in the reaction plane). This latter component aappears as a Coulomb ring in the invariant cross section plots indicating the presence of a binary decay which is confirmed by the coincidence data. Statistical model calculations indicate that for the Nb+Be and C reactions, the isotropic component is associated with the binary decay of compound nuclei formed in complete fusion reactions. The charge distributions for these two systems are consistent with the conditional barriers predicted with the rotating finite-range model. For the Nb+Al reactions, there is an additional isotropic component besides compound nucleus decay, which may arise from fast fission.  相似文献

The reported two peaks near 65.1 keV and 66.9 keV are not only the tri-photon coincidence counts but also the single photon of K-shell x-rays. These peaks contain two major decay components, i.e. fast T0/3 decay and slow 5.8-day decay. The 5.8-day decay corresponds to the ^195m Pt transition and the T0/3 decay corresponds to the reported tri-photon effect. According to the updated report from the vendor, our rhodium sample probably contains the unlisted impurity of 7-ppm platinum. The ^195m Pt transition is generated from this extremely small amount of Pt im- purity by the bremsstrahlung irradiation. The peak at 98.8keV in Fig.  相似文献

The 7Be(p,gamma)8B reaction plays a central role in the evaluation of solar neutrino fluxes. We report on a new precision measurement of the cross section of this reaction, following our previous experiment with an implanted 7Be target, a raster-scanned beam, and the elimination of the backscattering loss. The new measurement incorporates a more abundant 7Be target and a number of improvements in design and procedure. The point at E(lab)=991 keV was measured several times under varying experimental conditions, yielding a value of S17(E(c.m.)=850 keV)=24.0+/-0.5 eV b. Measurements were carried out at lower energies as well. Because of the precise knowledge of the implanted 7Be density profile, it was possible to reconstitute both the off- and on-resonance parts of the cross section and to obtain from the entire set of measurements an extrapolated value of S17(0)=21.2+/-0.7 eV b.  相似文献

We have measured the cross section of the 7Be(p,gamma)8B reaction for E(c.m.) = 185.8, 134.7, and 111.7 keV using a radioactive 7Be target (132 mCi). Single and coincidence spectra of beta+ and alpha particles from 8B and 8Be* decay, respectively, were measured using a large acceptance spectrometer. The zero energy S factor inferred from these data is 18.5+/-2.4 eV b and a weighted mean value of 18.8+/-1.7 eV b (theoretical uncertainty included) is deduced when combining this value with our previous results at higher energies.  相似文献

 在材料性质满足:(1)可用波恩-迈耶势描述其结合能;(2)自由电子对热能的贡献可忽略不计;以及(3)冲击波速度关系式可用直线关系描述的条件下,本文导出了一个用冲击绝热线数据直接计算该材料结合能和格临爱森物态方程的简便解析公式。给出了用本文方法计算Be,Al,Cu,Ta,U等十七种金属的冷能和冷压方程的结果。将本文结果与徐锡申等和Zharkov等的数值计算结果相比较,发现在冲击压缩测量的实验误差范围内,大多数金属的符合程度是比较好的,但Be,Ni和Pb三种金属除外。本文中对上述偏差的可能原因也做了讨论。  相似文献
