Three gas-phase diatomic trications Se(2) (3+), Te(2) (3+), and LaF(3+) have been produced by Ar(+) ion beam sputtering of Se, Te, and LaF(3) surfaces, respectively. These exotic molecular ions were detected at noninteger m/z values in a magnetic sector mass spectrometer for ion flight times of >/=13 micros that correspond to lower limits of their respective lifetimes. Se(2) (3+) and Te(2) (3+) were unambiguously identified by their characteristic isotopic abundances. Ab initio calculations of the electronic structures of Se(2) (3+), Te(2) (3+), and LaF(3+) show that these molecular trications are metastable with respect to dissociation into fragment ions of Se(2+)+Se(+), Te(2+)+Te(+), and La(2+)+F(+), respectively. Their barrier heights are about 0.49, 0.29, and 0.53 eV, and the equilibrium internuclear distances (bond lengths) are about 0.23, 0.27, and 0.26 nm, respectively. The gas-phase diatomic dications Se(2) (2+) and Te(2) (2+) were also observed and unambiguously identified. They were found to be long-lived metastable molecules as well, whereas LaF(2+) is thermochemically stable.  相似文献

Sputtering (ion surface bombardment) of various calcium-containing powder samples with an energetic (17 keV), high-current (16)O(-) beam has produced the diatomic dications of CaSi(2+), CaP(2+), CaF(2+), CaH(2+), CaCl(2+), CaBr(2+) and CaI(2+). These molecular gas-phase species have been identified in positive ion mass spectra at half-integer m/z values; their ion flight times through a magnetic-sector mass spectrometer were roughly 10(-5) s. Most of them appear to be novel molecular ions; the stability of the latter four (CaH(2+), CaCl(2+), CaBr(2+) and CaI(2+)) had been demonstrated in previous theoretical studies, whereas only CaF(2+) and CaBr(2+) had been observed before. Here we combine the results of our experimental search with a detailed theoretical study of the remaining three systems CaSi(2+), CaP(2+) and CaF(2+). All electronic states correlating with the first dissociation channel are characterized using high level ab initio electronic structure calculations. In their ground states, we find CaSi(2+) to be a long-lived metastable molecule, whereas CaF(2+) and CaP(2+) are thermodynamically stable, with respective equilibrium internuclear distances of 6.253, 4.740, and 5.731 a(0). CaSi(2+) has a well depth of 7116 (0.88) cm(-1) (eV) and a dissociation asymptote 7956 (0.99) cm(-1) (eV) below the ground state minimum. The dissociation energy of CaF(2+) is estimated to be 3404 (0.42) cm(-1) (eV), whereas for CaP(2+) we found 2547 (0.32) cm(-1) (eV), and a barrier height of 8118 (1.01) cm(-1) (eV). Their adiabatic double ionisation energies are 22.87, 16.91, and 17.32 eV, respectively, for the F, Si, and P containing dications.  相似文献

Long-lived metastable doubly positively charged diatomic ions of Mo2(2+) have been produced by Ar+ bombardment of a molybdenum metal surface. These exotic molecular dications, such as for example 92,95Mo2(2+) at m/z 93.5, could be observed in positive ion mass spectra for ion flight times of approximately 17 micros in a Cameca IMS-3f secondary ion mass spectrometer, when the ion extraction field was adjusted for detection of ions that are formed in the gas phase several micrometers in front of the sputtered surface. Mo2(2+) was observed at high primary current densities for projectile ions of Ar+, but could not be detected under very similar bombarding conditions for projectile ions of Xe+. Such a dependence of ion production by inert gas sputtering on the primary ion species [ionization energies: IP1(Ar) = 15.76 eV and IP1(Xe) = 12.13 eV] is unusual. It is shown that formation of Mo2(2+) dications takes place by resonant charge transfer in grazing gas-phase collisions between incoming projectile ions of Ar+ and sputtered molecular ions of Mo2+. The efficiency for such a resonant electron capture (Mo2+ + Ar+ --> Mo2(2+) + Ar) is of the order of 10(-5) for the bombarding conditions in our mass spectrometer and corresponds to a cross section of a few 10(-15) cm2.  相似文献

The doubly positively charged gas-phase molecules BrO(2+) and NBr(2+) have been produced by prolonged high-current energetic oxygen (17 keV (16)O(-)) ion surface bombardment (ion beam sputtering) of rubidium bromide (RbBr) and of ammonium bromide (NH(4)Br) powdered ionic salt samples, respectively, pressed into indium foil. These novel species were observed at half-integer m∕z values in positive ion mass spectra for ion flight times of roughly ~12 μs through a magnetic-sector secondary ion mass spectrometer. Here we present these experimental results and combine them with a detailed theoretical investigation using high level ab initio calculations of the ground states of BrO(2+) and NBr(2+), and a manifold of excited electronic states. NBr(2+) and BrO(2+), in their ground states, are long-lived metastable gas-phase molecules with well depths of 2.73 × 10(4) cm(-1) (3.38 eV) and 1.62 × 10(4) cm(-1) (2.01 eV); their fragmentation channels into two monocations lie 2.31 × 10(3) cm(-1) (0.29 eV) and 2.14 × 10(4) cm(-1) (2.65 eV) below the ground state minimum. The calculated lifetimes for NBr(2+) (v(") < 35) and BrO(2+) (v(") < 18) are large enough to be considered stable against tunneling. For NBr(2+), we predicted R(e) = 3.051 a(0) and ω(e) = 984 cm(-1); for BrO(2+), we obtained 3.033 a(0) and 916 cm(-1), respectively. The adiabatic double ionization energies of BrO and NBr to form metastable BrO(2+) and NBr(2+) are calculated to be 30.73 and 29.08 eV, respectively. The effect of spin-orbit interactions on the low-lying (Λ + S) states is also discussed.  相似文献

The dissociation of singly to triply ionized isocyanic acid (HNCO) has been investigated by two- and three-dimensional covariance mapping techniques through electron impact ionization at an electron energy of 200 eV. The absolute cross sections for the various dissociation channels of up to triply ionized HNCO have been measured. The HNCO dications dissociate mostly into ion pairs, while the HNCO trications dissociate mostly into ion triples, both through all the possible bond cleavages and charge allocations. Some major ion-pair dissociation channels of HNCO2+ are supposed to be sequential dissociation through initial charge separation. The metastable decay traces caused by HNCO(2+)-->H(+)+NCO+ and HNCO(+)-->HCO(+)+N have been observed on the covariance map.  相似文献

Electrospray ionization from methanolic solution can be used for the generation of the free cyclophane tetracations 1(4+) -3(4+) from the corresponding hexafluorophosphates. In the idealized gas phase, these tetracations are long-lived and can easily be handled for further spectroscopic studies. Collision-induced dissociation of the free tetracations brings about charge separation via cleavage of the pyridinium bonds, leading to a pair of dications. Subsequently, these dications undergo another charge separation reaction to finally afford singly charged cations. In addition to the free tetracations, also the corresponding trications having one PF6- counterion are examined. Collision-induced dissociation of the trications leads to a formal substitution reaction concomitant with C-F bond formation. Further, the catenanes of the tetracations 1(4+) -3(4+) with bis-p-phenylene-34-crown-10 (4) are investigated. For the parent compound 1, also the gas-phase infrared spectrum is reported for the first time.  相似文献

High-level single-reference CCSD(T) and multireference MS-CASPT2/CASSCF ab initio calculations have been carried out to determine the electronic structure and the lifetimes of GaX(2+) (X = N, F) doubly charged diatomic systems. Lifetimes were evaluated using the Exterior Complex Scaling (ECS) method implemented with basis sets of B-spline functions. The results obtained led to the conclusion that both species GaN(2+) and GaF(2+) can be considered as bound systems in the gas phase. GaN(2+) is a kinetically stable dication, because although it is thermodynamically unstable with respect to its dissociation into Ga(+) ((1)S) + N(+) ((3)P) the barrier to be surmounted is rather high and wide, so that the lowest 14 vibrational states of this system are bound. GaF(2+) is found to be a thermodynamically stable species with respect to its dissociation into Ga(+) ((1)S) + F(+) ((1)D). With respect to its dissociation into Ga(+) ((1)S) + F(+) ((3)P), strictly speaking, it is metastable. However, the crossing between the attractive PEC and the repulsive one occurs at rather large internuclear distances, and therefore it can be only explored by highly vibrationally excited molecules. Thus, in practical terms GaF(2+) can be considered as a bound species. The behavior of GaN(2+) and GaF(2+) is in clear contrast with that predicted for GaO(2+), which was found to be metastable with respect to its dissociation into Ga(+) ((1)S) + O(+) ((4)S), with lifetimes in the range of ns to seconds. This seems to indicate that the primary factor governing the stability and lifetimes of these doubly charged diatomic species is the ionization energy of the atom X bound to Ga.  相似文献

We synthesized polycrystalline pristine and Pr(3+)-doped perovskites La(1/3)MO(3) (M = Nb, Ta):Pr(3+) and investigated their crystal structure, optical absorption, and luminescence properties. The optical band gap of La(1/3)NbO(3) (3.2 eV) is smaller than that of La(1/3)TaO(3) (3.9 eV), which is primarily due to the difference in electronegativity between Nb and Ta. In La(1/3)NbO(3):Pr(3+), the red emission assigned to the f-f transition of Pr(3+) from the excited (1)D(2) level to the ground (3)H(4) state upon band gap photoexcitation (near-UV) was observed, whereas the f-f transition of Pr(3+) with blue-green emission from the excited (3)P(0) level to the ground (3)H(4) state was quenched. On the other hand, in La(1/3)TaO(3):Pr(3+), the blue-green emission upon band gap photoexcitation was observed. Their differences in emission behavior are attributed to the energy level of the ground and excited states of 4f(2) for Pr(3+), relative to the energy levels of the conduction and valence bands, and the trapped electron state, which mediates the relaxation of electron from the conduction band to the excited state of Pr(3+). La(1/3)NbO(3):Pr(3+) is a candidate red phosphor utilizing near-UV LED chips (e.g., λ = 375 nm) as an excitation source.  相似文献

Gas-phase reactions of Ta(2+) and TaO(2+) with oxidants, including thermodynamically facile O-atom donor N(2)O and ineffective donor CO, as well as intermediate donors C(2)H(4)O (ethylene oxide), H(2)O, O(2), CO(2), NO, and CH(2)O, were studied by Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. All oxidants reacted with Ta(2+) by electron transfer yielding Ta(+), in accord with the high second ionization energy of Ta (ca. 16 eV). TaO(2+) was also produced with N(2)O, H(2)O, O(2), and CO(2), oxidants with ionization energies above 12 eV; CO reacted only by electron transfer. The following charge separation products were also observed: TaN(+) and TaO(+) with N(2)O; and TaO(+) with O(2), CO(2), and CH(2)O. TaOH(2+), formed with H(2)O, reacted with a second H(2)O by proton transfer. TaO(2+) abstracted an electron from N(2)O, H(2)O, O(2), CO(2), and CO. Oxidation of TaO(2+) by N(2)O was also observed to produce TaO(2)(2+); on the basis of density functional theory (DFT) results, this species is a dioxide, {O-Ta-O}(2+). TaO(2)(2+) reacted by electron transfer with N(2)O, CO(2), and CO to give TaO(2)(+). Additionally, it was found that TaO(2)(2+) oxidizes CO to CO(2) and that it acts as a catalyst in the oxidation of CO by N(2)O. TaO(2)(2+) also activates H(2) to form TaO(2)H(2+). On the basis of the rates of electron transfer from N(2)O, CO(2), and CO to Ta(2+), TaO(2+), and TaO(2)(2+), the following estimates were made for the second ionization energies of Ta, TaO, and TaO(2): IE[Ta(+)] = 15.8 ± 0.3 eV, IE[TaO(+)] = 16.0 ± 0.5 eV, and IE[TaO(2)(+)] = 16.9 ± 0.4 eV. These IEs, together with recently reported bond dissociation energies, D[Ta(+)-O] and D[OTa(+)-O], result in the following bond energies: D[Ta(2+)-O] = 657 ± 58 kJ mol(-1) and D[OTa(2+)-O] = 500 ± 63 kJ mol(-1), the first of which is in good agreement with the value obtained by DFT.  相似文献

Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry makes it possible to generate gas-phase bis-ethylenediamine nickel and copper dications, [M(en)(2)](2+) (M = Ni, 1; M = Cu, 2), as well as their {[M(en)(2)]@cuc[8]}(2+) inclusion complexes with the macrocyclic cavitand cucurbit[8]uril (cuc[8]). The unimolecular gas-phase reactivity of these species has been investigated by electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry with a quadrupole-time-of-flight configuration. Distinctive fragmentation pathways have been observed for the free and encapsulated [M(en)(2)](2+) (M = Ni, Cu) dications under collision-induced dissociation (CID) conditions. The dications [M(en)(2)](2+) (M = Ni, Cu) dissociate according to several competitive pathways that involve intra-complex hydrogen or electron-transfer processes. Most of these channels are suppressed after encapsulation inside the cucurbit[8]uril macrocycle and, as a consequence, a simplification of the {[M(en)(2)]@cuc[8]}(2+) fragmentation pattern is observed. The results obtained demonstrate that the encapsulation of a coordination complex inside a host molecule can be used to alter the nature of the product ions generated under CID conditions.  相似文献

Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry was employed to study the products and kinetics of gas-phase reactions of Cm (+) and Cm (2+); parallel studies were carried out with La (+/2+), Gd (+/2+) and Lu (+/2+). Reactions with oxygen-donor molecules provided estimates for the bond dissociation energies, D[M (+)-O] (M = Cm, Gd, Lu). The first ionization energy, IE[CmO], was obtained from the reactivity of CmO (+) with dienes, and the second ionization energies, IE[MO (+)] (M = Cm, La, Gd, Lu), from the rates of electron-transfer reactions from neutrals to the MO (2+) ions. The following thermodynamic quantities for curium oxide molecules were obtained: IE[CmO] = 6.4 +/- 0.2 eV; IE[CmO (+)] = 15.8 +/- 0.4 eV; D[Cm-O] = 710 +/- 45 kJ mol (-1); D[Cm (+)-O] = 670 +/- 40 kJ mol (-1); and D[Cm (2+)-O] = 342 +/- 55 kJ mol (-1). Estimates for the M (2+)-O bond energies for M = Cm, La, Gd, and Lu are all intermediate between D[N 2-O] and D[OC-O] - that is, 167 kJ mol (-1) < D[M (2+)-O] < 532 kJ mol (-1) - such that the four MO (2+) ions fulfill the thermodynamic requirement for catalytic oxygen-atom transport from N2O to CO. It was demonstrated that the kinetics are also favorable and that the CmO (2+), LaO (2+), GdO (2+), and LuO (2+) dipositive ions each catalyze the gas-phase oxidation of CO to CO2 by N2O. The CmO 2 (+) ion appeared during the reaction of Cm (+) with O 2 when the intermediate, CmO (+), was not collisionally cooled - although its formation is kinetically and/or thermodynamically unfavorable, CmO 2 (+) is a stable species.  相似文献

We report the first transmission of solvent-coordinated dipositive plutonyl ion, Pu(VI)O(2)(2+), from solution to the gas phase by electrospray ionization (ESI) of plutonyl solutions in water/acetone and water/acetonitrile. ESI of plutonyl and uranyl solutions produced the isolable gas-phase complexes, [An(VI)O(2)(CH(3)COCH(3))(4,5,6)](2+), [An(VI)O(2)(CH(3)COCH(3))(3)(H(2)O)](2+), and [An(VI)O(2)(CH(3)CN)(4)](2+); additional complex compositions were observed for uranyl. In accord with relative actinyl stabilities, U(VI)O(2)(2+) > Pu(VI)O(2)(2+) > Np(VI)O(2)(2+), the yields of plutonyl complexes were about an order of magnitude less than those of uranyl, and dipositive neptunyl complexes were not observed. Collision-induced dissociation (CID) of the dipositive coordination complexes in a quadrupole ion trap produced doubly- and singly-charged fragment ions; the fragmentation products reveal differences in underlying chemistries of plutonyl and uranyl, including the lower stability of Pu(VI) as compared with U(VI). Particularly notable was the distinctive CID fragment ion, [Pu(IV)(OH)(3)](+) from [Pu(VI)O(2)(CH(3)COCH(3))(6)](2+), where the plutonyl structure has been disrupted and the tetravalent plutonium hydroxide produced; this process was not observed for uranyl.  相似文献

An experimental gas-phase study of the intensities and fragmentation patterns of [Mn.(H(2)O)(n)](2+) and [Mn.(ROH)(n)](2+) complexes shows the combinations [Mn.(H(2)O)(4)](2+) and [Mn.(ROH)(4)](2+) to be stable. Evidence in complexes involving the alcohols methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, and 2-propanol favors preferential fragmentation to [Mn.(ROH)(4)](2+), whereas the fragmentation data for water is less clear. Supporting density functional calculations show that both [Mn.(H(2)O)(4)](2+) and [Mn.(MeOH)(4)](2+) adopt stable tetrahedral configurations, similar to those proposed for biochemical systems where solvent availability and coordination is restricted. Calculated incremental binding energies show a gradual decline on going from one to six solvent molecules, with a step occurring between four and five molecules. The addition of further solvent molecules to the stable [Mn.(MeOH)(4)](2+) unit shows a preference for [Mn.(MeOH)(4)(MeOH)(1,2)](2+) structures, where the extra molecules occupy hydrogen-bonded sites in the form of a secondary solvation shell. Very similar behavior is seen on the part of water. As part of an analysis of the experimental data, the calculations have explored the influence different spins states of Mn(2+) have on solvent geometry. It is concluded that the experimental observations are best reproduced when the central Mn(2+) ion is in the high-spin (6)S ground state. The results are also considered in terms of the biochemical activity of Mn(2+) where the ion is capable of isomorphous substitution with Zn(2+), which itself exhibits a preference for tetrahedral coordination.  相似文献

The gas-phase ion-molecule reactions of 1,1,3,3-tetrafluorodimethyl ether and water have been examined using Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry, infrared multiphoton dissociation (IRMPD) spectroscopy, and ab initio molecular orbital calculations. This reaction sequence leads to the efficient bimolecular production of the proton-bound dimer of water (H5O2+). Evidence for the dominant mechanistic pathway involving the reaction of CF2H-O=CHF+, an ion of m/z 99, with water is presented. The primary channel occurs via nucleophilic attack of water on the ion of m/z 99 (CF2H-O=CHF+), to lose formyl fluoride and yield-protonated difluoromethanol (m/z 69). Association of a second water molecule with protonated difluoromethanol generates a reactive intermediate that decomposes via a 1,4-elimination to release hydrogen fluoride and yield the proton-bound dimer of water and formyl fluoride (m/z 67). Last, the elimination of formyl fluoride occurs by the association of a third water molecule to produce H5O2+ (m/z 37). The most probable isomeric forms of the ions with m/z 99 and 69 were found using IRMPD spectroscopy and electronic structure theory calculations. Thermochemical information for reactant, transition state, and product species was obtained using MP2(full)/6-311+G**//6-31G* level of theory.  相似文献

The dissociation of up to triply ionized alkanes from methane to n-butane has been studied through electron impact ionization at an electron energy of 200 eV. The ionic fragments are recorded by a covariance mapping technique using a focusing time-of-flight mass spectrometer. The absolute cross-sections for the numerous dissociation channels of all the alkane monocations and dications, as well as propane and n-butane trications have been obtained. All the alkane dications are unstable and dissociate mostly into ion pairs, in which the production of proton pairs is found to be a major dissociation channel. The ionic products from the dissociation of ethane, propane and n-butane dications have a similar distribution, in which the first few abundant ion species are H+, CH3+, C2H3+ and C2H2+. The total single ionization cross-sections agree well with the results of the binary-encounter-Bethe method. The distortion of the ion coincidence islands has been explained as due to the deviation from the space focusing condition of the mass spectrometer. Metastable decays, such as C3H52+→CH3++C2H2+ in propane and C4H10+→C3H7++CH3 in n-butane have been observed and identified using the initial and final angles of the decay traces.  相似文献

The gas-phase reactions between Ca(2+) and selenourea were investigated by means of electrospray/tandem mass spectrometry techniques. The MS/MS spectra of [Ca(selenourea)](2+) complexes show intense peaks at m/z 43, 121, 124, and 146 and assigned to monocations produced in different coulomb explosion processes. The structures and bonding characteristics of the stationary points of the [Ca(selenourea)](2+) potential energy surface (PES) were theoretically studied by DFT calculations carried out at the B3LYP/6-311+G(3df,2p)//B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) level. The analysis of the topology of this PES allows identification of H(2)NCNH(+), CaSeH(+), selenourea(+). and CaNCSe(+) ion peaks at m/z 43, 121, 124, and 146, respectively. The reactivity of selenourea and the topology of the corresponding potential energy surface mimic that of thiourea. However, significant dissimilarities are found with respect to urea. The dissociative electron-transfer processes, not observed for urea, is one of the dominant fragmentations for selenourea, reflecting its much lower ionization energy. Similarly, the coulomb explosions yielding CaXH(+) + H(2)NCNH(+) (X = O or Se), which for urea are not observed, are very favorable for selenourea. Finally, while in urea the loss of NH(3) competes with the formation of NH(4+), for selenourea the latter process is clearly dominant.  相似文献

A detailed experimental and theoretical study has been undertaken of the UV photofragmentation spectroscopy of the alkaline earth metal dications Mg(2+), Ca(2+), and Sr(2+) complexed with pyridine and 4-methyl pyridine (4-picoline). The ion complexes have been prepared using the pick-up technique and held in an ion trap where their internal temperature has been reduced to <150 K. Exposure of the trapped ions to tunable UV laser radiation leads to the appearance of photofragments with intensities that show significant variation as a function of wavelength. For all three metal dications, the resultant spectra show evidence of resolved features. Time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) has been used to identify possible electronic transitions that might be present in the [M(pyridine)(4)](2+) complexes (M = Mg, Ca, and Sr) within the wavelength range studied. These calculations show that the spectra are dominated by strong π* ← π and weaker π* ← n transitions localized on the pyridine ligands. The calculations correctly identify those regions of the experimental spectra where UV transitions begin to occur in the complexes and also the wavelengths at which absorption maxima are reached; however, more subtle features of the spectra are difficult to assign with confidence.  相似文献

Oxidation reactions of bare and ligated, monopositive, and dipositive Pa ions in the gas phase were studied by Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. Seven oxidants were employed, ranging from the thermodynamically robust N(2)O to the relatively weak CH(2)O-all oxidized Pa(+) to PaO(+) and PaO(+) to PaO(2)(+). On the basis of experimental observations, it was established that D[Pa(+)-O] and D[OPa(+)-O] > or = 751 kJ mol(-1). Estimates for D[Pa(+)-O], D[OPa(+)-O], IE[PaO], and IE[PaO(2)] were also obtained. The seven oxidants reacted with Pa(2+) to produce PaO(2+), indicating that D[Pa(2+)-O] > or = 751 kJ mol(-1). A particularly notable finding was the oxidation of PaO(2+) by N(2)O to PaO(2)(2+), a species, which formally comprises Pa(VI). Collision-induced dissociation of PaO(2)(2+) suggested the protactinyl connectivity, {O-Pa-O}(2+). The experimentally determined IE[PaO(2)(+)] approximately 16.6 eV is in agreement with self-consistent-field and configuration interaction calculations for PaO(2)(+) and PaO(2)(2+). These calculations provide insights into the electronic structures of these ions and indicate the participation of 5f orbitals in bonding and a partial "6p hole" in the case of protactinyl. It was found that PaO(2)(2+) catalyzes the oxidation of CO by N(2)O-such O atom transport via a dipositive metal oxide ion is distinctive. It was also observed that PaO(2)(2+) is capable of activating H(2) to form the stable PaO(2)H(2+) ion.  相似文献

Air-stable rhenium(V) oxo complexes are formed when [ReOCl(3)(PPh(3))(2)] is treated with N-heterocyclic carbenes of the 1,3-dialkyl-4,5-dimethylimidazol-2-ylidene type, L(R) (R = Me, Et, i-Pr). Complexes of the compositions [ReO(2)(L(R))(4)](+), [ReOCl(L(R))(4)](2+), or [ReO(OMe)(L(R))(4)](2+) can be isolated depending on the alkyl substituents at the nitrogen atoms of the ligands and the reaction conditions applied. Despite the steric overcrowding of the equatorial coordination spheres of the metal atoms by each of the four carbene ligands, stable complexes with six-coordinate rhenium atoms are obtained. Steric demands of the alkyl groups allow control of the stability of the mono-oxo intermediates. Air-stable cationic complexes of the compositions [ReOCl(L(Me))(4)](2+), [ReOCl(L(Et))(4)](2+), and [ReO(OMe)(L(Me))(4)](2+) have been isolated, whereas reactions of [ReOCl(3)(PPh(3))(2)] or other rhenium(V) precursors with the more bulky 1,3-diisopropyl-4,5-dimethylimidazol-2-ylidene (L(i)(-)(Pr)) directly yield the dioxo complex [ReO(2)(L(i)(-)(Pr))(4)](+). X-ray structures of [ReO(2)(L(i)(-)(Pr))(4)][ReO(4)], [ReO(2)(L(i)(-)(Pr))(4)][PF(6)], [ReO(2)(L(Me))(4)][ReO(4)](0.45)[PF(6)](0.55), [ReO(MeOH)(L(Me))(4)][PF(6)](2), and [ReOCl(L(Et))(4)][PF(6)](2) show that the equatorial coordination spheres of the rhenium atoms are essentially planar irrespective of the steric demands of the individual carbene ligands.  相似文献
