We show that the quantization of the superparticle action is possible. This is done by shifts in the BRST operator and the resulting action has an infinite number of ghosts. The total BRST operator is given by an infinite sum and is shown to be nilpotent. We also obtain a BRST invariant kinetic operator that contains the dynamical, auxiliary and gauge pieces in it.  相似文献

We present a variant of the conjugate operator method which can be used when the group generated by the conjugate operator leaves invariant only the form domain of the Hamiltonian. As an example, we get detailed spectral properties and a large class of locally smooth operators for two-body Schrödinger Hamiltonians with form-relatively compact potentials.  相似文献

We consider a Schrödinger operator in a periodic system of strip-like domains coupled by small windows. As the windows close, the domain decouples into an infinite series of identical domains. The operator similar to the original one, and defined on one copy of these identical domains, has an essential spectrum. We show that once there is a virtual level at the threshold of this essential spectrum, the windows turn this virtual level into the spectral bands for the original operator. We study the structure and the asymptotic behavior of these bands.  相似文献

We prove the non existence of a self adjoint phase operator for systems with a finite number of degrees of freedom and for systems with an infinite number of degrees of freedom but enclosed in a finite box. We discuss two meson models where a meson is described in the Bethe-Salpeter formalism as a bound state of a quark and an antiquark interacting via an instantaneous infinite square-well potential. In the first model the quark and antiquark are heavy and the depth of the potential exactly balances their rest energy and in the second model the quark and antiquark are massless. In each model the mass operator for the composite system is homogeneous. Hence a dilatation operator can be defined such that the mass operator transforms in the same way as the translation generator under infinitesimal scale transformations. Then the quark-antiquark bound states carry irreducible representations of the Weyl Lie algebra which, due to the scale parameter introduced by the finite width of the infinite square-well potential, have nontrivial discrete mass spectra.  相似文献

We propose a model to describe the energy structure and dynamics of a system of a molecule interacting with infinite photon modes in a vibrating microcavity whose boundary oscillates in the fundamental resonance.By constructing an so(2,1) Lie algebra for the infinite photon modes,we obtain analytical expressions of the energy eigenstates,energy eigenvalues and the system‘s evolution operator for this Raman model under certain conditions.  相似文献

We study quantum spin systems with quenched Gaussian disorder. We prove that the variance of all physical quantities in a certain class vanishes in the infinite volume limit. We study also replica symmetry breaking phenomena, where the variance of an overlap operator in the other class does not vanish in the replica symmetric Gibbs state. On the other hand, it vanishes in a spontaneous replica symmetry breaking Gibbs state defined by applying an infinitesimal replica symmetry breaking field. We prove also that the finite variance of the overlap operator in the replica symmetric Gibbs state implies the existence of a spontaneous replica symmetry breaking.  相似文献

We apply an analogue of the Zakharov-Shabat dressing method to obtain infinite matrix solutions to the Toda lattice hierarchy. Using an operator transformation we convert some of these into solutions in terms of integral operators and Fredholm determinants. We construct the energy operator for particles obeying infinite statistics defined by aq-deformation of the Heisenberg algebra.The aim of this paper is to construct the energy operator for particles which obey the so-called infinite statistics defined by theq-deformation of the Heisenberg algebra. This topic was studied in the previous article [1], where a conjecture was formulated concerning the form of the energy operator. We consider a quantum waveguide modelled by an infinite straight tube with arbitrary cross-section in n-dimensional space. The operator we study is the Dirichlet Laplacian perturbed by two distant perturbations. The perturbations are described by arbitrary abstract operators “localized” in a certain sense. We study the asymptotic behaviour of the discrete spectrum of such system as the distance between the “supports” of localized perturbations tends to infinity. The main results are a convergence theorem and the asymptotics expansions for the eigenvalues. The asymptotic behaviour of the associated eigenfunctions is described as well. We provide a list of the operators, which can be chosen as distant perturbations. In particular, the distant perturbations may be a potential, a second order differential operator, a magnetic Schrödinger operator, an arbitrary geometric deformation of the straight waveguide, a delta interaction, and an integral operator.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the inverse scattering problem of reconstructing a bounded obstacle in a three-dimensional planar waveguide from the scattered near-field data measured on a finite cylindrical surface containing the obstacle and corresponding to infinitely many incident point sources also placed on the measurement surface. The obstacle is allowed to be an impenetrable scatterer or a penetrable scatterer. We establish the validity of the factorization method with the nearfield data to characterize the obstacle in the planar waveguide by constructing an outgoing-to-incoming operator which is an integral operator defined on the measurement surface with the kernel given in terms of an infinite series.  相似文献

We present the noncommutative differential calculus on the function space of the infinite set and construct a homotopy operator to prove the analogue of the Poincare lemma for the difference complex. Then the horizontal and vertical complexes are introduced with the total differential map and vertical exterior derivative. As the application of the differential calculus, we derive the schemes with the conservation of symplecticity and energy for Hamiltonian system and a two-dimensional integral models with infinite sequence of conserved currents. We show that ghosts in gauge theories can be interpreted as Maurer-Cartan forms in the infinite dimensional group ? of gauge transformations. We examine the cohomology of the Lie algebra of ? and identify the coboundary operator with the BRS operator. We study the self-adjoint Pauli operators that can be realized as the square of a self-adjoint Dirac operator and correspond to a magnetic field consisting of a finite number of Aharonov–Bohm solenoids and a regular part, and prove an Aharonov–Casher type formula for the number of zero-modes for these operators. We also see that essentially only one of the Pauli operators are spin-flip invariant, and this operator does not have any zero-modes.  相似文献

We show that a complete covariantization of the chiral constraint in the Floreanini-Jackiw necessitates an infinite number of auxiliary Wess-Zumino fields other-wise the covariantization is only partial and unable to remove the nonlocality in the chiral boson operator.
