在考虑光纤损耗及高阶色散的情况下,以三、四阶色散项的耦合非线性薛定谔方程为基础,研究高阶色散对交叉相位调制不稳定性的影响.研究表明:三阶色散对调制不稳定性不起作用;由于四阶色散的影响,在光纤的正常、反常色散区,交叉相位调制不稳定性均发生在两个频谱区.且反常色散区两频谱区都比正常色散区的宽,反常色散区第二频谱区比正常色散区的更靠近零点.光纤损耗对增益谱的谱宽有较大影响,它使增益的谱宽变窄,且随传输距离的增大谱宽变得更窄.  相似文献

When two optical pulses copropagate inside a single-mode fibre, intensity-dependent refractive index couples the pulses through a cross-phase modulation (XPM). We show that a second-harmonic generation (SHG) on a continuous-wave background is possible in the optical fibre induced by the XPM effect. By means of a multiscale method the nonlinearly coupled envelope equations for the SHG are derived and their explicit solutions are provided and discussed.  相似文献

以包含了三、四阶色散项的耦合非线性薛定谔方程为基础,重点研究了三、四阶色散对交叉相位调制不稳定性的影响。结果表明:三阶色散对调制不稳定性不起作用;当满足一定条件时,由于四阶色散的影响,不仅在光纤的反常色散区,而且在光纤的正常色散区,交叉相位所致的调制不稳定性均发生在两个频谱区。当光纤各参量及两束入射光波功率一定时,光纤反常色散区第一区域的增益谱要比正常色散区第一区域的增益谱宽;同时,反常色散区第二区域的增益谱比正常色散区第二区域的增益谱更靠近零点;进一步对比反、正常色散区的这两个频谱区,发现两个频谱区的范围有确定的对应关系。  相似文献

从包含高阶色散的广义非线性薛定谔方程出发,得到了色散缓变光纤中交叉相位调制不稳定增益谱,研究了增益谱随入射功率及光纤纵向色散参量的变化关系.结果表明:由于四阶色散的影响,在色散缓变光纤的正、反常色散区,交叉相位调制不稳定均发生在两个频谱区.反常色散区两频谱区宽度均比正常色散区宽,且反常色散区第二频谱区更靠近零点,说明色散缓变光纤中交叉相位调制不稳定更容易发生在反常色散区.增益谱宽都随两入射光波功率比值的增加而增大.色散缓变光纤中交叉相位调制不稳定增益谱宽比常规光纤的宽,且随着光纤纵向色散参量μ的增大色散缓变光纤中交叉相位调制不稳定越来越明显.  相似文献

在考虑线性损耗的情况下,对硅基纳米波导中皮秒脉冲传输交叉相位调制不稳定性进行了仿真研究。采用微扰和线性稳定性分析方法,理论推导了调制不稳定性产生所满足的色散关系和调制不稳定性增益谱表达式。分析了脉冲光功率、线性损耗和群速度色散系数等参量对交叉相位调制不稳定性的影响,并进行了仿真分析。结果表明,即使在微弱的入射光功率下,仍然存在强烈的交叉相位调制不稳定性现象;交叉相位调制不稳定性不仅可以在反常色散区出现,而且在正常色散区也会发生。波导的线性损耗对交叉相位调制不稳定性增益谱有明显影响。  相似文献

以三、四阶色散项的耦合非线性薛定谔方程为基础,考虑光纤损耗及高阶色散,研究了双光束在零色散附近的交叉相位调制不稳定性.理论上导出描述交叉相位调制不稳定性的色散方程,并进行数值模拟计算.结果表明:由于四阶色散的影响,在光纤的正常、反常色散区,交叉相位调制不稳定性均发生在两个频谱区.如光脉冲工作在最小群速度色散附近时,四阶色散对光纤的交叉相位调制不稳定性将起决定性作用,可使增益谱出现一个新的峰值.光纤损耗使增益的谱宽变窄.对给定的传输距离,随着光纤向零色散附近靠近,两个频谱区谱宽增加直到相互重叠.数值分析了两光波有差别时的交叉相位调制不稳定性.  相似文献

针对强度调制直接检测波分复用系统研究了抽运探测波结构中自相位调制和交叉相位调制共同作用下的光信号传输,给出了确定任意抽运信号下的探测波时域波形及强度调制率的理论解析方法,分析了信道间隔、传输速率对于交叉相位调制的影响,发现抽运波自相位调制的作用主要体现在使探测波时域强度调制率有所增大,解析结果和数值仿真能较好地吻合。  相似文献

对基于SOA-Sagnac干涉仪的XPM个光波长变换从理论上和实验上进行了较为详细的研究。根据光路合成法求出SOA-Sagnac干涉仪的化输函数,并导出波长变换后的探测光电场表达式,并构成了一套实验系统,进行了622Mbit/s归零码光脉冲的波长变换实验,获得消光比大于10dB的波长变换范围约为43nm。  相似文献

A four-level quantum dot (QD) nanostructure interacting with four fields (two weak near-infrared (NIR) pulses and two control fields) forms the well-known double-cascade configuration. We investigate the cross-phase modulation (XPM) between the two NIR pulses. The results show, in such a closed-loop scheme, that the XPM can be greatly enhanced, while the linear absorption and two-photon absorption (gain) can be efficiently depressed by tuning the relative phase among the applied fields. This protocol may have potential applications in NIR all-optical switch design and quantum information processing with the solid-state materials.  相似文献

研究了超短脉冲贝塞尔光束在色散介质中的传输特性 ,指出空间诱导色散效应可以用来补偿介质色散作用 ,从而可以在色散介质中实现无衍射无色散的类时空孤子波的传输。用理论推导和数值模拟的方法得到的具有反常色散性质的空间诱导色散可以有效地补偿介质色散。数值模拟的结果表明 ,由于超短脉冲贝塞尔光束的无衍射无色散传输距离受到高阶色散效应和贝塞尔光束空间受限两方面的限制 ,无衍射无色散传输只能在有限距离内近似实现。通过增加脉冲长度可以减小高阶色散效应的影响。在传输距离小于衍射距离时 ,空间诱导色散效应可以很好地描述脉冲演化和色散补偿过程  相似文献

The approximate analytical frequency chirps and the critical distances for cross-phase modulation induced optical wave breaking(OWB) of the initial hyperbolic-secant optical pulses propagating in optical fibers with quintic nonlinearity(QN) are presented. The pulse evolutions in terms of the frequency chirps, shapes and spectra are numerically calculated in the normal dispersion regime. The results reveal that, depending on different QN parameters, the traditional OWB or soliton or soliton pulse trains may occur. The approximate analytical critical distances are found to be in good agreement with the numerical ones only for the traditional OWB whereas the approximate analytical frequency chirps accords well with the numerical ones at the initial evolution stages of the pulses.  相似文献

Birefringence induced by spatial dispersion (BISD), also called intrinsic birefringence, can cause a serious deterioration of the optical imaging quality of deep UV lithographic objectives at wavelengths below 193 nm. Recently the mathematical formalism for analyzing those aspects of the BISD effect that are relevant for optical design has been published. In this paper we give an equivalent but simplified derivation of these results. This mathematical formalism is then applied to optical system design and a compensation strategy is discussed. An example of an optical system is given where the phase retardation caused by the BISD effect has been corrected.  相似文献

提出一种在单模光纤正常色散区由连续波产生超短光脉冲对的新方法.即让连续波和一个波长位于光纤负色散区的高阶孤子在光纤中同时传输,互相位调制效应和群速度色散效应的互相作用能使连续波演化成超短光脉冲对.本文还通过计算机模拟,对该方法进行了全面的考察和分析.结果表明,此方法实用且效果较好.  相似文献

It was found by numerical analysis that a 320 nm wide and flat spectrum at 20 dB less than the central maximum intensity is generated from cross-phase modulated soliton pulses with 3.5 ps pulse width and 2.3 W peak power, which are propagated through a 2.4km length of dispersion-flattened/decreasing fiber (DFDF). The cross-phase modulation (XPM) at a central wavelength of 1.55 μm is achieved by exciting two orthogonally polarized modes into the principal axes. The wave-vector mismatch between the orthogonal pulses can be neglected because of soliton trapping when the modal birefringence of the DFDF is less than |nox - n0y| = 10−6. The effect of modal birefringence on supercontinuum generation is discussed in temporal and spectral regimes by numerical analysis.  相似文献

利用克尔介质、偏振分束器、半波片和对强相干探测场的零拍探测,呈现了一个关于制备四光子偏振Diche态、GHZ态和W态的方案,当前量子光学实验技术条件均能有效满足该方案的要求.强的探测模相继和多个信号模光子相互作用,每次对于探测模而言,都会产生一个相位旋转.接下来,对探测模利用零拍探测,信号模可以投影得到想要的光子偏振纠缠态.此外,为了展现所制备的纠缠态作为重要的量子信息资源的价值,基于交叉相位调制进一步提出了一个隐形传送三光子偏振纠缠态的实验方案.  相似文献

We successfully demonstrated low power penalty operation of a cross-phase modulated (XPM) wavelength converter using a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) power equalizer. We also clarified the SOA equalizing level for more adaptive wavelength conversion and achieved a power penalty of less than 1 dB over the wide input dynamic range of 15 dB.  相似文献
