In this paper, we study (associative) Nijenhuis algebras, with emphasis on the relationship between the category of Nijenhuis algebras and the categories of NS algebras and related algebras. This is in analogy to the well-known theory of the adjoint functor from the category of Lie algebras to that of associative algebras, and the more recent results on the adjoint functor from the categories of dendriform and tridendriform algebras to that of Rota-Baxter algebras. We first give an explicit construction of free Nijenhuis algebras and then apply it to obtain the universal enveloping Nijenhuis algebra of an NS algebra. We further apply the construction to determine the binary quadratic nonsymmetric algebra, called the N-dendriform algebra, that is compatible with the Nijenhuis algebra. As it turns out, the N-dendriform algebra has more relations than the NS algebra.  相似文献

Let A be a finite dimensional k-algebra over an algebraically closed field. Assume A = kQ/I where Q is a quiver without oriented cycles. We say that A is tilt-critical if it is not tilted but every proper convex subcategory of A is tilted. We describe the tilt-critical algebras which are strongly simply connected and tame.  相似文献

We give explicit presentations by generators and relations of certain generalized Schur algebras (associated with tensor powers of the natural representation) in types B, C, D. This extends previous results in type A obtained by two of the authors. The presentation is compatible with the Serre presentation of the corresponding universal enveloping algebra. In types C, D this gives a presentation of the corresponding classical Schur algebra (the image of the representation on a tensor power) since the classical Schur algebra coincides with the generalized Schur algebra in those types. This coincidence between the generalized and classical Schur algebra fails in type B, in general.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of a standard system in order to deal with quasi-hereditary algebras. We shall prove that a necessary and sufficient condition for a finite-dimensional algebra to be quasi-hereditary is the existence of a full and divisible standard system. As a further application, we obtain a sufficient condition for a standardly stratified algebra.  相似文献

For each simply-laced Dynkin graph Δ we realize the simple complex Lie algebra of type Δ as a quotient algebra of the complex degenerate composition Lie algebra of a domestic canonical algebra A of type Δ by some ideal I of that is defined via the Hall algebra of A, and give an explicit form of I. Moreover, we show that each root space of has a basis given by the coset of an indecomposable A-module M with root easily computed by the dimension vector of M. A nonassociative algebra is defined to be zeropotent if the square of any element is zero. Zeropotent algebras are exactly the same as anticommutative algebras when the characteristic of the ground field is not two. The class of zeropotent algebras properly contains that of Lie algebras. In this paper, we give a complete classification of three-dimensional zeropotent algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic not equal to two. By restricting the result to the subclass of Lie algebras, we can obtain a classification of three-dimensional complex Lie algebras, which is in accordance with the conventional one.  相似文献

We study the cohomology of a locally finite, connected, cocommutative Hopf algebra over . Specifically, we are interested in those algebras for which is generated as an algebra by and . We shall call such algebras semi-Koszul. Given a central extension of Hopf algebras with monogenic and semi-Koszul, we use the Cartan-Eilenberg spectral sequence and algebraic Steenrod operations to determine conditions for to be semi-Koszul. Special attention is given to the case in which is the restricted universal enveloping algebra of the Lie algebra obtained from the mod- lower central series of a -group. We show that the algebras arising in this way from extensions by of an abelian -group are semi-Koszul. Explicit calculations are carried out for algebras arising from rank 2 -groups, and it is shown that these are all semi-Koszul for .

Abstract

We previously classified three-dimensional zeropotent algebras over an algebraically closed field of any characteristic except for two. The exceptional case of characteristic two is special because some of the previous transformation matrices to verify isomorphism are unavailable. In this paper, we give new transformation matrices peculiar to characteristic two and then achieve classification in the exceptional case. We thus accomplish a classification of three-dimensional zeropotent algebras over an algebraically closed field of any characteristic.  相似文献

Every element of P(2 n ) is a 2 n -tuple whose coordinates are in F B(2 n – 1); in particular, so are the n generators of P(2 n ). Abstract

This paper studies two homogenizations of the down-up algebras introduced in Benkart and Roby (Benkart, G., Roby, T. (1998 Benkart, G. and Roby, T. 1998. Down-up algebras. J. Algebra, 209: 305344. [Crossref], [Web of Science ®] [Google Scholar]). Down-up Algebras. J. Algebra 209:305–344). We show that in all cases the homogenizing variable is not a zero-divisor, and that when the parameter β is non-zero, the homogenized down-up algebra is a Noetherian domain and a maximal order, and also Artin-Schelter regular, Auslander regular, and Cohen-Macaulay. We show that all homogenized down-up algebras have global dimension 4 and Gelfand-Kirillov dimension 4, and with one exception all homogenized down-up algebras are prime rings. We also exhibit a basis for homogenized down-up algebras and provide a necessary condition for a Noetherian homogenized down-up algebra to be a Hopf algebra.  相似文献

Makar–Limanov's conjecture states that, if a division ring D is finitely generated and infinite dimensional over its center k, then D contains a free k-subalgebra of rank 2. In this work, we will investigate the existence of such structures in D, the division ring of fractions of the skew polynomial ring L[t; σ], where t is a variable and σ is a k-automorphism of L. For instance, we prove Makar-Limanov's conjecture when either L is the function field of an abelian variety or the function field of the n-dimensional projective space.  相似文献

We study not necessarily associative (NNA) division algebras over the reals. We classify in this paper series those that admit a grading over a finite group G, and have a basis {v g |g ∈ G} as a real vector space, and the product of these basis elements respects the grading and includes a scalar structure constant with values only in {1, ? 1}. We classify here those graded by an abelian group G of order |G| ≤8 with G non–isomorphic to ?/8?. We will find the complex, quaternion, and octonion algebras, but also a remarkable set of novel non–associative division algebras.  相似文献

In a previous paper, the first-named author introduced generalized structurable algebras, while the second-named author introduced the isotopies of Lie algebras. In this paper, we combine the two analyses, submit the notion of isogeneralized structural algebras, and show that they include Lie algebras, all their axiom-preserving generalizations of graded, supersymmetric or isotopic type, as well as numerous other algebras.  相似文献

Abstract

Ternary derivations, ternary Cayley derivations and ternary automorphisms are computed over fields of characteristic ≠ 2, 3 for the algebras A t obtained by the Cayley–Dickson duplication process. While the derivation algebra of A t stops growing after t = 3, the ternary derivation algebra significantly decreases in the step from the octonions A 3 to the sedenions A 4, revealing the symmetry lost on that stage.  相似文献
