A general theory of tracestr D A and determinantsdet D (I+A) in normed algebrasD of operators acting in Banach spacesB is proposed. In this approach trace and determinant are defined as continuous extensions of the corresponding functionals from finite dimensional operators. We characterize the algebras for which such extensions exist and describe sets of possible values of traces and determinants for the same operator in different algebras. In spite of the fact that the extended traces and determinants may differ in different algebrasD, operatorI+A (withA D) is invertible inB if and only ifdet D (I+A) does not vanish. Cramer's rule and formulas for the resolvent are obtained and they are expressed in different algebras by the same formulas viadet D (I+A) andtr D (A). A large set of examples and illustrations are also presented.  相似文献

We study (relative) zeta regularized determinants of Laplace type operators on compact conic manifolds. We establish gluing formulae for relative zeta regularized determinants. For arbitrary self-adjoint extensions of the Laplace-Beltrami operator, we express the relative ζ-determinants for these as a ratio of the determinants of certain finite matrices. For the self-adjoint extensions corresponding to Dirichlet and Neumann conditions, the formula is particularly simple and elegant.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper, all one-dimensional Leibniz central extensions on the algebras of differential operators over C[t, t ?1] and C((t)), as well as on the quantum 2-torus, the Virasoro-like algebra and its q-analog are studied. We determine all nontrivial Leibniz 2-cocycles on these infinite dimensional Lie algebras.  相似文献

This paper mainly concerns abelian von Neumann algebras generated by Toeplitz operators on weighted Bergman spaces. Recently a family of abelian w*-closed Toeplitz algebras has been obtained (see [5,6,7,8]). We show that this algebra is maximal abelian and is singly generated by a Toeplitz operator with a “common” symbol. A characterization for Toeplitz operators with radial symbols is obtained and generalized to the high dimensional case. We give several examples for abelian von Neumann algebras in the case of high dimensional weighted Bergman spaces, which are different from the one dimensional case.  相似文献

On the toroidal Leibniz algebras   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Toroidal Leibniz algebras are the universal central extensions of the iterated loop algebras g×C[t1^±1,...,tv^±1] in the category of Leibniz algebras. In this paper, some properties and representations of toroidal Leibniz algebras are studied. Some general theories of central extensions of Leibniz algebras are also obtained.  相似文献

Studying commutative C*-algebras generated by Toeplitz operators on the unit ball it was proved that, given a maximal commutative subgroup of biholomorphisms of the unit ball, the C*-algebra generated by Toeplitz operators, whose symbols are invariant under the action of this subgroup, is commutative on each standard weighted Bergman space. There are five different pairwise non-conjugate model classes of such subgroups: quasi-elliptic, quasi-parabolic, quasi-hyperbolic, nilpotent and quasi-nilpotent. Recently it was observed in Vasilevski (Integr Equ Oper Theory. 66:141–152, 2010) that there are many other, not geometrically defined, classes of symbols which generate commutative Toeplitz operator algebras on each weighted Bergman space. These classes of symbols were subordinated to the quasi-elliptic group, the corresponding commutative operator algebras were Banach, and being extended to C*-algebras they became non-commutative. These results were extended then to the classes of symbols, subordinated to the quasi-hyperbolic and quasi-parabolic groups. In this paper we prove the analogous commutativity result for Toeplitz operators whose symbols are subordinated to the quasi-nilpotent group. At the same time we conjecture that apart from the known C*-algebra cases there are no more new Banach algebras generated by Toeplitz operators whose symbols are subordinated to the nilpotent group and which are commutative on each weighted Bergman space.  相似文献

We consider some functional Banach algebras with multiplications as the usual convolution product * and the so‐called Duhamel product ?. We study the structure of generators of the Banach algebras (C(n)[0, 1], *) and (C(n)[0, 1], ?). We also use the Banach algebra techniques in the calculation of spectral multiplicities and extended eigenvectors of some operators. Moreover, we give in terms of extended eigenvectors a new characterization of a special class of composition operators acting in the Lebesgue space Lp[0, 1] by the formula (Cφf)(x) = f(φ(x)).  相似文献

In the first part of this paper we provide a self‐contained introduction to (regularized) perturbation determinants for operators in Banach spaces. In the second part, we use these determinants to derive new bounds on the discrete eigenvalues of compactly perturbed operators, broadly extending some recent results by Demuth et al. In addition, we also establish new bounds on the discrete eigenvalues of generators of C0‐semigroups.  相似文献

In this paper, we define a class of extended quantum enveloping algebras U q (f(K, J)) and some new Hopf algebras, which are certain extensions of quantum enveloping algebras by a Hopf algebra H. This construction generalizes some well-known extensions of quantum enveloping algebras by a Hopf algebra and provides a large of new noncommutative and noncocommutative Hopf algebras.  相似文献

We study L 2-Betti numbers for von Neumann algebras, as defined by D. Shlyakhtenko and A. Connes in [CoS]. We give a definition of L 2-cohomology and show how the study of the first L 2-Betti number can be related to the study of derivations with values in a bi-module of affiliated operators. We show several results about the possibility of extending derivations from sub-algebras and about uniqueness of such extensions. In particular, we show that the first L 2-Betti number of a tracial von Neumann algebra coincides with the corresponding number for an arbitrary weakly dense sub-C*-algebra. Along the way, we prove some results about the dimension function of modules over rings of affiliated operators which are of independent interest. The principal aim in this paper is to develop an effective and unified approach to the computation of traces of resolvents (and resolvent differences), Fredholm determinants, ζ- functions, and ζ-function regularized determinants associated with linear operators in a Hilbert space. In particular, we detail the connection between Fredholm and ζ-function regularized determinants.Concrete applications of our formalism to general (i.e., three-coefficient) regular Sturm–Liouville operators on bounded intervals with various (separated and coupled) boundary conditions, and Schrödinger operators on a half-line, are provided and further illustrated with an array of examples.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to dual operator algebras, that isw *-closed algebras of bounded operators on Hilbert space. We investigate unital dual operator algebrasA with the following weak* similarity property: for every Hilbert spaceH, anyw *-continuous unital homomorphism fromA intoB(H) is completely bounded and thus similar to a contractive one. We develop a notion of dual similarity degree for these algebras, in analogy with some recent work of Pisier on the similarity problem on operator algebras.  相似文献

Abstract

In the paper, the deriviation algebras of the associative algebras of the one-variable (resp. multivariable) q-differential operators and of their corresponding Lie algebras are determined. The completeness of the derivation algebras of the algebras of q-differential operators is also discussed. Finally, we calculate H 2(𝒟 q (n)?, C) for n ≥ 1, as well as H 2(g l n (𝒟 q ), C) under the assumption that q is transcendental over the rational numbers field Q.  相似文献

The finite dimensional tame hereditary algebras are associated with the extended Dynkin diagrams. An indecomposable module over such an algebra is either preprojective or preinjective or lies in a family of tubes whose tubular type is the corresponding Dynkin diagram. The study of one-point extensions by simple regular modules in such tubes was initiated in [Ri].

We generalise this approach by starting out with algebras which are derived equivalent to a tame hereditary algebra and considering one-point extensions by modules which are simple regular in tubes in the derived category. If the obtained tubular type is again a Dynkin diagram these algebras are called derived Dynkin extensions.

Our main theorem says that a representation infinite algebra is derived equivalent to a tame hereditary algebra iff it is an iterated derived Dynkin extension of a tame concealed algebra. As application we get a new proof of a theorem in [AS] about domestic tubular branch enlargements which uses the derived category instead of combinatorial arguments.  相似文献

Summary The sum of two unbounded nonnegative selfadjoint operators is a nonnegative operator which is not necessarily densely defined. In general its selfadjoint extensions exist in the sense of linear relations (multivalued operators). One of its nonnegative selfadjoint extensions is constructed via the form sum associated with A and B. Its relations to the Friedrichs and Krein--von Neumann extensions of A+Bare investigated. For this purpose, the one-to-one correspondence between densely defined closed semibounded forms and semibounded selfadjoint operators is extended to the case of nondensely defined semibounded forms by replacing semibounded selfadjoint operators by semibounded selfadjoint relations. In particular, the inequality between two closed nonnegative forms is shown to be equivalent to a similar inequality between the corresponding nonnegative selfadjoint relations.</o:p>  相似文献

Recently, some concepts such as Hom-algebras, Hom-Lie algebras, Hom-Lie admissible algebras, Hom-coalgebras are studied and some classical properties of algebras and some geometric objects are extended on them. In this paper by recalling the concept of Hom-ρ-commutative algebras, the authurs intend to develop some of the most classical results in Riemannian geometry such as metric, connection, torsion tensor, curvature tensor on it and also they discuss about differential operators and get some ...  相似文献

Abstract

We study the complex powers A z of an elliptic, strictly positive pseudodifferential operator A using an axiomatic method that combines the approaches of Guillemin and Seeley. In particular, we introduce a class of algebras, called “Guillemin algebras, ” whose definition was inspired by Guillemin [Guillemin, V. (1985). A new proof of Weyl's formula on the asymptotic distribution of eigenvalues. Adv. in Math. 55:131–160]. A Guillemin algebra can be thought of as an algebra of “abstract pseudodifferential operators.” Most algebras of pseudodifferential operators belong to this class. Several results typical for algebras of pseudodifferential operators (asymptotic completeness, construction of Sobolev spaces, boundedness between appropriate Sobolev spaces,…) generalize to Guillemin algebras. Most important, this class of algebras provides a convenient framework to obtain precise estimates at infinity for A z , when A > 0 is elliptic and defined on a non-compact manifold, provided that a suitable ideal of regularizing operators is specified (a submultiplicative Ψ*-algebra). We shall use these results in a forthcoming paper to study pseudodifferential operators and Sobolev spaces on manifolds with a Lie structure at infinity (a certain class of non-compact manifolds that has emerged from Melrose's work on geometric scattering theory [Melrose, R. B. (1995). Geometric Scattering Theory. Stanford Lectures. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press]).  相似文献

We compute the essential norm of a composition operator relatively to the class of Dunford-Pettis operators or weakly compact operators, on some uniform algebras of analytic functions. Even in the context of H (resp. the disk algebra), this is new, as well for the polydisk algebras and the polyball algebras. This is a consequence of a general study of weighted composition operators.   相似文献
