Summary Neural networks and inductive logic programming (ILP) have been compared to linear regression for modelling the QSAR of the inhibition of E. coli dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) by 2,4-diamino-5-(substitured benzyl)pyrimidines, and, in the subsequent paper [Hirst, J.D., King, R.D. and Sternberg, M.J.E., J. Comput.-Aided Mol. Design, 8 (1994) 421], the inhibition of rodent DHFR by 2,4-diamino-6,6-dimethyl-5-phenyl-dihydrotriazines. Cross-validation trials provide a statistically rigorous assessment of the predictive capabilities of the methods, with training and testing data selected randomly and all the methods developed using identical training data. For the ILP analysis, molecules are represented by attributes other than Hansch parameters. Neural networks and ILP perform better than linear regression using the attribute representation, but the difference is not statistically significant. The major benefit from the ILP analysis is the formulation of understandable rules relating the activity of the inhibitors to their chemical structure.  相似文献

Polyacetylene obtained by the dehydrochlorination of polyvinyl chloride in the NaOH—DMSO system undergoes sulfurization with elemental sulfur at 120—300 °C to liberate hydrogen sulfide and to form electroconducting (0.7·10–12—5.8·10–15Sm nm–1) and paramagnetic (1.5·1017—1.7·1019sp g–1, g = 2.0035—2.0045, H= 0.44—0.66 mT) dark powders with a metallic luster. Their IR spectra and comparison with the samples of sulfurized polyethylene show that sulfurized polyacetylene contains poly(vinylene polysulfide), poly(thienothiophene), and related structures. The polymers afford the cathode discharge capacity of lithium batteries up to 950 mA h g–1(in the first cycle) and stable cycling at a level of 500—300 mA h g–1(25 cycles).  相似文献

Summary 1. The fatty-acid compositions of the seed oils of catalpas cultivated in the Soviet Union have been studied.2. The oil content of the seeds is 21.2–36.7%, the refractive index 1.4905–1.5400, and the iodine number 184.8–201.7.3. The following fatty acids have been found in catalpa oil (%): palmitic — 1.3–4.3; stearic — 1.1–2.5; heneicosanoic — 0.5–5.2; oleic — 5.5–9.8; linoleic — 39.6–50.3; linolenic — 0.4–1.8; and eleostearic — 32.8–46.2.4. The most accurate results for characterizing the degree of unsaturation of the fatty acids of the catalpa seed oils are given by Woburn's method of determining iodine numbers. The iodine numbers obtained experimentally agree with those calculated and consequently the addition of halogen to the system of double bonds takes place at all the double bonds.5. The degree of unsaturation of the fatty acids of catalpa oil characterized by the iodine numbers and refractive indices increases in the sequence of species southern, northern, teas, Chinese and has a tendency to rise on passing to more northerly zones, which is one more piece of evidence confirming the correctness of S. The phospholipid compositions (qualitative and quantitative) are given of a wide range of natural sources — organs (brain, heart, liver, kidneys, spleen, lungs, pancreas) of two vertebrate animals (ox and pig) and 27 species of marine invertebrates of five types (coelenterates, arthropods, molluscs, echinoderms, and tunicates). The configurations of the perhydroacridines formed in the catalytic hydroamination of threo-methylenedicyclohexanone and the product of its cyclization — 2-hydroxy-2,3-tetramethylenebicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9-one — were established by means of the 13C NMR spectra and alternative synthesis. It is shown that isomers with cis-anti-cis and cis-syn-cis configurations are formed as a result of the reactions. The addition of a natural alkaloid lupinine to acetylene in the presence of superbasic catalytic systems (KOH—DMSO, KOBut—DMSO, KOH—dioxane) under elevated or atmospheric pressure affords O-vinyllupinine (in up to 88% yield), a promising optically active monomer and intermediate for the preparation of new quinolizidine alkaloids. The same vinyl ether was obtained (in 60% yield) by the reaction of lupinine with vinyl acetate in the presence of Hg(OAc)2.  相似文献

Thermal oxidation of poly(1-trimethylsilylprop-1-yne) was studied by IR spectroscopy in the 20—245 °C temperature interval. In the 20—160 °C temperature range, the reaction proceeds predominantly at the C—Me group as revealed by the decrease in the intensity of the bands of the methyl group bound to the C atom and the appearance of the bands of the hydroperoxide and methylene groups. The decomposition of hydroperoxides produces aldehydes and ethers. At 160—200 °C, oxidation occurs via two routes: at the C—Me and C=C groups, while the Me3Si group remains unchanged. At 230—240 °C, the rate of the reaction occurring at the C=C bond is higher than the rates of the processes involving the MeC and Me3Si groups. The relative content of the structural units was calculated for the samples oxidized at different temperatures. Plausible mechanisms of thermal oxidation of poly(1-trimethylsilylprop-1-yne) were considered on the basis of the data obtained.  相似文献

The polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS) modified by bifunctional organic compounds (diamines), offer the possibility of producing organic-inorganic hybrid materials. These materials present excellent opto-electronic properties and find numerous applications such as the manufacture of electroluminescent diodes and ion or radiation sensors.This work shows that monolithic and transparent hybrid gels were obtained by reaction at room temperature of PMHS with diamines in tetrahydrofuran, using hexachloroplatinic acid (H2PtCl6·6H2O) as catalyst. The products have been characterized by infrared and 29Si MAS-NMR spectroscopy. The results show that the diamines have reacted with the PMHS leading to the monolithic and transparent gels in which both organic-inorganic —Si—(H)N—(CH2) n —N(H)—Si— bridges are formed (n = 3, 4 and 6). The thermal analysis of the xerogels was determined by TGA and DTA. The structure and texture of the obtained materials, were studied by Chemical Analysis and the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the subvalent nickel—lead sulfide, which has been described previously as Ni60Pb9S31, was established and the composition of this sulfide was refined based on powder X-ray diffraction data. The true Ni151.5Pb24S92 composition of this compound was confirmed by the EDX techniques. The temperature range of stability of this compound (490—578 °C) was refined by differential thermal analysis. In the search for analogs, the triangulation of the Ni—Pb—Se and Ni—Pb—Te systems at 540 °C was carried out for the first time. No new ternary phases were detected.  相似文献

Summary 1. The new sesquiterpene lactone tanachin (I) has been isolated from a chloroform extract ofTanacetum pseudoachillea C. Winkl.2. With the aid of double and triple resonances, the chemical shifts and coupling constants of the protons of (I) have been determined. High-performance liquid chromatography separated successively and quantitatively the food flavoring agents pyrimidines, purines and nucleosides, followed by nucleotides, then by polyphenols and finally by pyrazines with a reversed-phase octadecylsilica (μBondapak C18) column and various proportions of methanol, water, acetic acid and tetrabutylammonium phosphate (PIC A). The polar solvent (solvent A) was water—acetic acid—PIC A (97.5:1.5:1.0) and the relatively non-polar solvent (solvent B) was methanol—acetic acid—PIC A (97.5:1.5:1.0). Purines, pyrimidines, and nucleosides were eluted with solvent A. Nucleotides were eluted with a mixture of solvents A and B (9:1). Polyphenols were separated with a gradient starting at 10% solvent B and finishing at 25% solvent B, and finally the pyrazines were removed successively from the column with a gradient starting at 25% solvent B and finishing at 45% solvent B. The resolution and reproducibility were excellent for more than 50 compounds. By this method beverages could be analyzed directly, without solvent extraction, for flavoring compounds.  相似文献
