In this paper, we consider an overlapping domain problem for two elastic bodies. A glue condition of an equality-type is imposed at a given line. Simultaneously, a part of this line is considered to be a crack face with an inequality-type boundary condition describing mutual non-penetration between crack faces. Variational and differential formulations of the problem are considered. We prove a differentiability of the energy functional in the case of rectilinear cracks and find a formula for invariant integrals. Passage to the limit is justified provided that the rigidity of the body goes to infinity.  相似文献

One of the possibilities to increase the resistance of a structure to catastrophic fracture is to force a main line crack to deviate from its path. In this connection the influence of the elastic moduli of an anisotropic material on the possibilities of crack rotation are studied. In particular a linear elastic problem for a straight Mode I crack, located on a symmetry axis of an orthotropic plane is considered. The strength properties of the material are supposed to be isotropic. For studying a direction of a crack growth path several crack models are considered. It is shown that a thin elongated elliptical hole as a crack model leads to more plausible results concerning crack rotation conditions than an ideal cut model. The maximal tensile stresses are taken as a crack growth criterion. It is shown that for some class of orthotropic materials a crack deviates from the straight path just after it starts to grow even in the conditions of uniaxial normal tension. The problem of the stability of a straight crack path under Mode I loading is also considered. This problem is reduced to the problem of the fracture direction determination for thin elongated elliptical cavity slightly inclined to the initial direction. In the frame of the proposed approach the conditions of instability are obtained. It is shown that for some class of orthotropic materials a straight crack path is unstable in the conditions of uniaxial normal tension. The contact deformation of the hub of a plunger pair is considered. It is assumed that, during the repeated reciprocating motion of the plunger, a crack is initiated and fracture of the materials of the elements of the contact pair occurs. The problem of the equilibrium of the hub of a friction pair with a crack nucleus reduces to solving a system of non-linear singular integrodifferential equations with a Cauchy-type kernel. The normal and shear forces in the zone where the crack originates are found from the solution of this system of equations. The condition for the appearance of a crack is formulated, taking account of the criterion of the limit traction of the bonds in the material. A problem for the plunger of a friction pair as applied to a borehole sucker rod pump is considered as an example. In conclusion, the case when there are several arbitrarily distributed rectilinear bridged cracks, with bonds between the crack faces in the end zone, close to the contact surface of the hub is investigated.  相似文献

An equilibrium problem for a solid with a crack is considered. We assume that both the Coulomb friction law and a nonpenetration condition hold at the crack faces. The problem is formulated as a quasi-variational inequality. Existence of a solution is proved, and a complete system of boundary conditions fulfilled at the crack surface is obtained in suitable spaces.  相似文献

The 2D-model of an anisotropic, non-homogeneous, bonded elastic solid with a crack on the interface is considered. We state the linear problem with the stress-free boundary condition at the crack faces in addition to the transmission condition at the connected part of the interface. The sensitivity of the model to non-linear perturbations of the curvilinear crack along the interface is investigated. We obtain the asymptotic expansion and the corresponding derivatives of the potential energy functional with respect to the crack length via the material derivatives of the solution. This allows us to describe the growth or stationarity, and the local optimality conditions by the Griffith rupture criterion. The integral expression of the energy release rate for the considered problems is obtained, and the Cherepanov-Rice integral is discussed.  相似文献

We consider the inverse scattering problem of determining the shape and location of a crack surrounded by a known inhomogeneous media. Both the Dirichlet boundary condition and a mixed type boundary conditions are considered. In order to avoid using the background Green function in the inversion process, a reciprocity relationship between the Green function and the solution of an auxiliary scattering problem is proved. Then we focus on extending the factorization method to our inverse shape reconstruction problems by using far field measurements at fixed wave number. We remark that this is done in a non intuitive space for the mixed type boundary condition as we indicate in the sequel.  相似文献

We study in this paper an eigenvalue problem for the linear elasticity equations in three‐dimensional space. The problem is defined in the whole space cut by a planar crack. The eigenvalue appears in a linear condition relating the traction to the jump in displacements across the crack. We prove for such problems that an eigenspace containing eigenfunctions, which do not average to zero over the crack is in general not simple. Then we prove for a more constrained eigenvalue problem, where the direction of slip over the crack is imposed, that the first eigenspace is in that case simple. We consider the two‐dimensional elasticity problem for an elastic body with a crack under unilateral constraints imposed at the crack. We assume that both the Signorini condition for non‐penetration of the crack faces and the condition of given friction between them are fulfilled. The problem is non‐linear and can be described by a variational inequality. Varying the shape of the crack by a local coordinate transformation of the domain, the first derivative of the energy functional to the problem with respect to the crack length is obtained, which gives the criterion for the crack growing. Using variational methods, the anti-plane model of a solid subject to a non-penetration condition imposed at the kinked crack is considered. The objective function of the potential energy is expanded with respect to the diminishing branch of the incipient crack. An interface crack with an electrically permeable and mechanically frictionless contact zone in a piezoelectric bimaterial under the action of a remote mixed mode mechanical loading as well as thermal and electrical fields is considered in the first part of this paper. By use of the matrix‐vector representations of thermal, mechanical and electrical fields via sectionally‐holomorphic functions the problems of linear relationships are formulated and solved exactly both for an electrically permeable and an electrically impermeable interface crack. For these cases the transcendental equations and clear analytical formulas are derived for the determination of the contact zone lengths and the associated fracture mechanical parameters. A plane strain problem for a crack with a frictionless contact zone at the leading crack tip extending stationary along an interface of two semi‐infinite anisotropic spaces with a subsonic speed under the action of various loading is considered in the second part of this paper. By introducing of a moving coordinate system connected with the crack tip and by using the formal similarity of static and propagating crack problems the combined Dirichlet‐Riemann boundary value problem is formulated and solved exactly for this case as well and a transcendental equation is obtained for the determination of the real contact zone length. It is found that the increase of the crack speed leads to an increase of the real contact zone length and the correspondent stress intensity factors which increase significantly for a quasi‐Rayleigh wave speed.  相似文献

In the paper we consider elliptic boundary problems in domains having cuts (cracks). The non-penetration condition of inequality type is prescribed at the crack faces. A dependence of the derivative of the energy functional with respect to variations of crack shape is investigated. This shape derivative can be associated with the crack propagation criterion in the elasticity theory. We analyze an optimization problem of finding the crack shape which provides a minimum of the energy functional derivative with respect to a perturbation parameter and prove a solution existence to this problem.  相似文献

An interaction of a tunnel conductive crack and a distant strip electrode situated at the interface between two piezoelectric semi-infinite spaces is studied. The bimaterial is subject by an in-plane electrical field parallel to the interface and by an anti-plane mechanical loading. Using the presentations of electromechanical quantities at the interface via sectionally-analytic functions the problem is reduced to a combined Dirichlet-Riemann boundary value problem. Solution of this problem is found in an analytical form excepting some one-dimensional integrals calculations. Closed form expressions for the stress, the electric field and their intensity factors, as well as for the crack faces displacement jump are derived. On the base of these presentations the energy release rate is also found. The obtained solution is compared with simple particular case of a single crack without electrode and the excellent agreement is found out. An auxiliary plane problem for open and closed cracks between two isotropic materials is also considered. The mathematical model of this problem is identical to the above one, therefore, the obtained solution is used for this model. It is compared with finite element solution of a similar problem and good agreement is found out.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the analysis of equilibrium problems for two‐dimensional elastic bodies with thin rigid inclusions and cracks. Inequality‐type boundary conditions are imposed at the crack faces providing a mutual non‐penetration between the crack faces. A rigid inclusion may have a delamination, thus forming a crack with non‐penetration between the opposite faces. We analyze variational and differential problem formulations. Different geometrical situations are considered, in particular, a crack may be parallel to the inclusion as well as the crack may cross the inclusion, and also a deviation of the crack from the rigid inclusion is considered. We obtain a formula for the derivative of the energy functional with respect to the crack length for considering this derivative as a cost functional.
