The competitive adsorption of methylene blue (MB) and β-casein on hydrophilic glass from an aqueous mixed solution was directly detected at the solution pH smaller than the protein isoelectric point (pI) by means of the waveguide-based broadband time-resolved evanescent wave absorption spectroscopy. The competitive adsorption causes the MB coverage to exponentially decrease with time from its peak value and prevents MB aggregation at the interface. The kinetic equation for the competitive adsorption of binary adsorbates was theoretically deduced based on the Langmuir model, and was used for creating the best fit to the experimental data. In the case of a fixed concentration of MB in the mixed solution, the best-fit parameter τ(-1) increases with the protein concentration at a specific pH and decreases with the solution pH at a given concentration of protein. The findings suggest that the β-casein concentration in sub-μM level can be rapidly determined by the time-resolved waveguide absorptiometry based on the competitive adsorption of MB and protein.  相似文献

Based on the special properties and advantages of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD), β-CD polymers have been widely studied and used in recent years. A lot of researches have focused on the adsorption and separation properties of β-CD polymers. In this paper, β-CD polymer modified by sulfonate groups, which was named S-β-CDP, was prepared using epichlorohydrin as crosslinker and tiron (1,2-dihydroxybenzene-3,5-disulfonic acid disodium salt) as modifier. β-CD polymer without modification, which was named β-CDP, was also prepared for comparison. Infrared spectra, elemental analysis and adsorption tests of S-β-CDP were carried out and compared with β-CDP. The content of sulfonate groups in S-β-CDP was obtained from elemental analysis. The dramatically increased adsorption capability toward methylene blue and basic magenta confirmed the existence and chemical activity of sulfonate groups in S-β-CDP. Due to the convenient preparation process and modified adsorption properties, S-β-CDP will find its applications in various fields such as water purification, drug loading, separation and analysis.  相似文献

A new effective magnetic composite material was prepared successfully for adsorption Hg(II) ions by introducing β-cyclodextrin/ethylene imine polymer to the mesoporous silica. The morphology and structure of EIP-β-CD magnetic adsorbents were characterized by FT-IR, XR, DTG, XPS and SEM technologies. The effect of many factors were discussed detailedly such as adsorption time, initial concentration, pH, different composition of adsorbent and adsorption temperature. It was found that EIP-β-CD showed excellent adsorption capacity, high selectivity, good reutilization and fast adsorption rate. The maximum adsorption capacity was 248.72 mg/g and the best removal rate was 99.49 % under the optimized experimental conditions. The kinetic and thermodynamic study showed typical characteristic of chemical adsorption, exothermic and spontaneous. The best mass proportion of β-cyclodextrin, ethylene imine polymer and glutaraldehyde was 1.0:0.4:0.2, and proper β-cyclodextrin can develop the adsorption capacity for Hg(II) ions in this adsorbent. The possible adsorption mechanism was investigated in detail. After the fifth cycle experiment, this new adsorbent still showed excellent adsorption capacity which indicated that it has great potential for Hg(II) ions cleanup in water solution.  相似文献

Porous structured chitosan–β-cyclodextrin membranes were synthesized by incorporating β-cyclodextrin polymers as the functional reagent and using γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane as crosslinking agent. Compared with chitosan itself, the synthesized membranes showed significant changes in the molecular constitutions, crystalline and thermal properties. It was found that the mol ratio of the epoxy groups of γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane to the free amino groups of chitosan, as well as the solvent evaporated time, largely influenced the pore size and water content of the membranes. The effects of the initial concentration of adsorbate and the pH on the adsorption of hydroquinone were investigated by the spectrophotometry. Kinetic studies show the adsorption is a pseudo-second order process. The adsorption is endothermic and chemically activated reaction with activation energy of 70.0 kJ mol−1.  相似文献

The host cyclodextrin polymer-P(AM/A-β-CD/NaA) is prepared by redox free-radical copolymerization. Additionally, the multi-sticker amphiphilic polymer-P(AM/BHAM/NaA) as a guest polymer is synthesized using micellar polymerization. The copolymer structures are characterized by 1H NMR. Subsequently, all the polymers and inclusion complexes are evaluated in terms of apparent viscosity, optical absorption spectra and rheological property. The results indicate that the inclusion association between the cyclodextrin group (CD) and multi-sticker hydrophobic monomer (BHAM) is in accordance with ternary interaction (CD/BHAM?=?2:1). Because of the inclusion association between the host and guest polymers, the solution of inclusion complex has much higher viscoelasticity even under the low amphiphilic polymer concentration. When the molar ratio of CD to BHAM is 1:1, the critical aggregation concentration (CAC) of the inclusion complex solution still remains. Furthermore, above the CAC, two types of associations, inclusion association and inter-molecular hydrophobic association, can occur in the complex solution and these interactions were also verified by fluorescence spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy (AFM). In this paper, the inclusion rule of cyclodextrin polymer with the multi-sticker amphiphilic polymer is discussed, and the rule of the enhanced solution viscosity is further explored.  相似文献

A number of cyanoacetates have been synthesized: cyanoacetoxymethyitrimethylsilane (1), cyanoacetoxymethylpentamethyldisiloxane (2), cyanoacetoxyetoxymethylpentamethyldisiloxane (3). They were converted by the Knoevenagel reaction to novel esters of a-cyanoacrylic acid (4–13) containing silicon atoms in the ester groups and having the general formula RCH=C(CN)COOCH2X (where R=H, 4-MeOC6H4, MeCH=CH, 2-furyl; X=SiMe3, SiMe2OSiMe3, CH2OCH2SiMe2OSiMe3). Magnetic baker’s yeast (MB) was prepared using glutaraldehyde cross-linking method and chemical modification with ethylenediaminetetraacetic dianhydride (EDTAD). The fabricated EDTAD-modified magnetic baker’s yeast (EMB) was then employed to remove methylene blue. Comparative adsorption of methylene blue by EMB and MB was systematically investigated with respect to pH, contact time, initial concentration and reaction temperature. The mechanism of methylene blue adsorption by EMB and MB was investigated by SEM, FTIR and Special surface area using methylene blue method. The results revealed that Fe3O4 nanoparticles were steadily cross-linked/incorporated with baker’s yeast biomass and the EDTA was modified on the surface of the magnetic baker’s yeast. The equilibrium adsorption data were fitted better by Langmuir isotherm, and the specific surface areas were 42.953–226.07 m2/g for MB and 94.972–499.85 m2/g for EMB, respectively. Kinetic studies suggested that the pseudo-second-order model was suitable to describe the adsorption process. Thermodynamic studies indicated that the adsorption was feasible, spontaneous and endothermic. The recovery efficiencies were above 80% by using 0.1 M HCl.  相似文献

Two new β-CD-calix[4]arene coupling products 3,4 which contained one or two β-CD units in molecules were synthesized by ammonolysis of p-tert-butyl-25,27-dihydroxyl-26,28-di (ethoxy carbonyl methoxyl) calix[4]arene 1 and mono-6-ethylenediamino-6-deoxy-β-CD 2, and their structures were confirmed by 1H NMR, IR and MS (Maldi-Tof). The probable mechanism for forming 3 was discussed also. Using water-insoluble coupling product 3 as an adsorbent, the influences of the adsorption capacities of 3 including initial concentration, temperature and pH onto basic fuchsin (BF) and methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution were investigated. Results showed that the adsorption capability of 3 to BF was obviously higher than that to MB at similar adsorption conditions. The values of %sorption to BF were over 90 % in range of initial concentrations from 20 to 140 mg L?1 whenas those to MB dropped rapidly from 92 to 58 %. The adsorptions of 3 to both BF and MB obeyed Freundlich adsorption isotherm well.  相似文献

Host-guest equilibria have been investigated involving inclusion sites of the microparticulate amorphous β-cyclodextrin polymer, β-CDP-25, and a range of redox guests comprising regioisomeric nitrobenzene derivatives and ferrocene. The equilibria were studied by the batch method. Inclusion-governed, Langmuir-type sorption equilibria occurred in the β-CDP-25/guest systems studied in 1:1 (v/v) aqueous methanolic solutions. A 1:1 (host inclusion site)/guest stoichiometry was found and sorption equilibrium constants were determined. The values of the constants changed by a factor of 20 between the most weakly and strongly included guests. Regioselective discrimination of β-CDP-25 was most pronounced with respect to nitrophenols. Transport phenomena of guest molecules in the β-CDP-25 matrix have also been studied. The apparent diffusion coefficients of guest molecules were determined in the β-CDP-25 matrix by chronamperometry at the (β-CDP-25)-PTFE-carbon composite electrodes. These diffusion coefficients were almost four orders of magnitude lower than the corresponding coefficients of guest molecules in solution in the absence of β-CD. The diffusion mechanism was postulated for the guest molecules in the β-CDP-25 matrix, which invoked hopping of the molecules between inclusion sites.  相似文献

The first diastereoselective synthesis of β-amino ketone and β-amino acid derivatives by palladium-catalyzed conjugate addition of arylboronic acids to chiral β-enamino ketones and β-enamino esters is reported. The catalytic system employing (S)-4-(tert-butyl)oxazolidin-2-one as the chiral auxiliary in water under an air atmosphere provides β-amino ketone and β-amino acid derivatives in high yields with excellent diastereoselectivity.  相似文献

The expansion and hydrodynamic properties of matrix are significant for expanded bed adsorption (EBA) processes. A series of new composite matrices CroCD-TuC are studied and estimated in an expanded bed. It is found that the heavier matrix is better suited for high operation fluid velocity than the lighters. Although the Richardson–Zaki equation can well correlate the bed voidage with fluid velocity for all CroCD-TuC matrices tested, the modifications are proposed to improve the accuracy of theoretical predictions of correlation parameters, including terminal settling velocity (Ut) and expansion index (n). Residence time distributions (RTDs) are determined, and the Bodenstein number (Bo) and axial dispersion coefficient (Dax) are employed to analyze the liquid mixing in the expanded bed. It is found for CroCD-TuC matrices, both parameters notably changed with the variation of fluid velocity and viscosity. Furthermore, Dax is an intuitive parameter estimating the bed stability on various operating conditions, and also a restriction on developing the matrix for high operation fluid velocity. The comparison of the hydrodynamic properties on different matrices reveals that CroCD-TuC 3 and CroCD-TuC 4 seem superior to other matrices in hydrodynamic properties, making them promising matrices for further use. The correlations as the functions of fluid velocity and viscosity have been established which may provide beneficial information for practical applications of CroCD-TuC matrices in EBA processes.  相似文献

According to the chemical design, electrorheological properties of supramolecular complex from β-cyclodextrin polymer (β -CDP) were discussed. Six supramolecular complexes of β-cyclodextrin polymer with substituted salicylic acid and 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid were synthesized by the solid-phase self-assembly method, and their component and structure were characterized by NMR, FT-IR, UV-vis and the fluorescence analysis. Then the electrorheological properties of their suspensions in silicone oil were investigated under DC electric fields. It was found that the yield stresses of these supramolecular complex ER fluids were 7.3–9.8 kPa at 4 kV/mm in DC electric field, which were enhanced by 34%–72% compared with that of pure β-CDP. Among them, that of β-CDP/3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid ER fluid was the highest. It was also found that the ER effect of supramolecular complexes can be controlled by changing different guests. When the substituted group is at phenyl ring, ER behavior can be slightly adjusted by the different substituted groups, their number as well as their position at phenyl ring. In this study β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) was used to improve usnic acid (UA) solubility and the inclusion complex (UA:β-CD) was incorporated into liposomes in order to produce a targeted drug delivery system for exploiting the antimycobacterial activity of UA. A phase-solubility assay of UA in β-CD at pH 7.4 was performed. An apparent stability constant of K1:1 = 234.5 M?1 and a complexation efficiency of 0.005 was calculated. In the presence of 16 mM of β-CD the solubility of UA (7.3 μg/mL) increased more than 5-fold. The UA:β-CD complex was prepared using the freeze-drying technique and characterized through infrared and 1HNMR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and thermal analyses. The UA:β-CD inclusion complex presented IR spectral modifications when compared with UA and β-CD spectra. 1HNMR spectrum of UA:β-CD inclusion complex showed significant chemical shifts in proton H5 located inside the cavity of β-CD (Δδ = 0.127 ppm), suggesting that phenyl ring moiety of UA would be expected to be included within the β-CD cavity, interacting with the H-5 proton. A change in UA from its crystalline to amorphous form was observed on X-ray, suggesting the formation of a drug inclusion complex. DSC analysis showed the disappearance of the UA fusion peak UA:βCD complex. No differences between the antimicrobial activity of free UA and UA:βCD were found, supporting the hypothesis that the complexation with cyclodextrin did not interfere with drug activity. Liposomes containing UA:βCD were prepared using hydration of a thin lipid film method with subsequent sonication. Formulations of liposomes containing UA:βCD exhibited a drug encapsulation efficiency of 99.5% and remained stable for four months in a suspension form. Interestingly, the encapsulation of UA:βCD into the liposomes resulted in a modulation of in vitro kinetics of release of UA. Indeed, liposomes containing UA:β-CD presented a more prolonged release profile of free usnic acid compared to usnic acid-loaded liposomes.  相似文献

The interaction of naproxen with β-cyclodextrin and its derivatives (hosts) as well as polymer has been studied using UV Visible (UV–Vis), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In this paper, the solid inclusion complexes were prepared by freeze drying method. The formation constants of the complexes were determined by UV–Vis method. The adsorption properties of naproxen with β-Cyclodextrin bonded silica stationary phase (CDS) were studied for an in-depth understanding of the host–guest interaction. The inclusion process involving naproxen and hosts was investigated by using the PM3 quantum–mechanical semiempirical method. The stabilization energy values obtained from the semiempirical calculation showed the same relation with the formation constant values determined by UV–Vis spectroscopy.  相似文献

Diethyl (1,2-dibromoethyl)phosphonate was found to undergo cyclopropanation with nitromethane in good yield. The resulting trans β-nitrocyclopropylphosphonate was converted to the trans N-protected aminocyclopropylphosphonate through a reduction–protection sequence. Subsequent hydrolysis gave the free β-aminocyclopropylphosphonic acid without any formation of ring-opening byproduct. Cyclopropanation of 1,2-dibromoethylphosphonates with nitroalkanes and their reduction are also discussed.  相似文献

o-Iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX), a very mild and efficient hypervalent iodine(V) reagent, aromatizes diversely substituted 1-benzylpyrrolidines and N-substituted l-proline analogues to the corresponding substituted pyrroles in good to excellent yields under mild conditions mediated by β-cyclodextrin in water at room temperature. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on IBX, promoting complete aromatization leading to N-benzylpyrroles from the corresponding saturated five membered heterocyclic derivatives in water medium.  相似文献
