We present two schemes for efficient implementation of a nonlocal gate with nonmaximal entanglement. The main strategy of the schemes is local conversion of pure states, which consists of a generalized measurement described by a positive operator-valued measure (POVM), one-way classical communication, and corresponding unitary operations. First, we discuss the way to generate determinately the nonlocal gate via any pure shared entangled state combined with entanglement-assistance. Then we propose the other way to generate probabilistically the nonlocal gate via any pure entangled state with the aid of ancillary particles.  相似文献

We present a controlled secure quantum communication protocol using non-maximally (pure) entangled W states first, and then discuss the basic requirements for a real quantum communication. We show that the authorized two users can exchange their secret messages with the help of the controller after purifying the non-maximally entangled states quantum channel unconditionally securely and simultaneously. Our quantum communication protocol seems even more feasible within present technologies.  相似文献

We present and discuss the helicity amplitudes for graviton-graviton scattering via a loop of massless scalars. The amplitudes have the expected analytic structure but do not conserve helicity. We prove that as a consequence helicity is not conserved in pure quantum gravity either and the helicity flip amplitudes are given by two times the scalar loop contributions. Implications for the higher-loop renormalizability of quantum gravity are discussed.  相似文献

We present a controlled secure quantum dialogue protocol using a non-maximally (pure) entangled Greenberger-Horne-Zeibinger (GHZ) states at first, and then discuss the requirements for a real quantum dialogue. We show that the authorized two users can exchange their secret messages after purifying the non-maximally entangled GHZ states quantum channel unconditionally securely and simultaneously under the control of a third party.  相似文献

We present a design method of four-quadrant pure phase filter and phase modulation functions for creating two focusing spots. With the combination of a high numerical aperture objective and a four-quadrant pure phase filter, a radially polarized incident plane wave can be focused into two focusing spots with the spacing of several wavelengths along the optical axis. The filter with the phase modulation functions are verified effective by numerical simulation. The distance of the two focuses and the position of each focus can be controlled and adjusted by changing the phase modulation functions. The beam quality and longitudinally polarization purity of these two focusing spots are calculated and discussed and thus the centrally obstructed four-quadrant phase filters are proposed to improve the beam quality.  相似文献

We present a method to generate entangled Fock states of two nonlocal cavity modes with different frequencies. We send an atom with three levels g,e, and f across two cavities. The atomic transition frequency between level g and e is resonant with the first cavity frequency, while the atomic transition frequency between level g and f is resonant with the second cavity frequency. The detection of the atomic state leaves the pure field in an entangled Fock state.  相似文献

Given two two-qubit pure states characterized by their Schmidt numbers we investigate an optimal strategy to convert the states between themselves with respect to their local unitary invariance. We discuss the efficiency of this transformation and its connection to LOCC convertibility properties between two single-copy quantum states. As an illustration of the investigated transformations we present a communication protocol where in spite of all expectations a shared maximally entangled pair between two participants is the worst quantum resource.  相似文献

We study the time evolution ofN-level quantum systems under quasiperiodic time-dependent perturbations. The problem is formulated in terms of the spectral properties of a quasienergy operator defined in an enlarged Hilbert space, or equivalently of a generalized Floquet operator. We discuss criteria for the appearance of pure point as well as continuous spectrum, corresponding respectively to stable quasiperiodic dynamics and to unstable chaotic behavior. We discuss two types of mechanisms that lead to instability. The first one is due to near resonances, while the second one is of topological nature and can be present for arbitrary ratios between the frequencies of the perturbation. We treat explicitly an example of this type. The stability of the pure point spectrum under small perturbations is proven using KAM techniques.  相似文献

We present a series of universal quantum cloning machines for two identical mixed qubits. Every machine is optimal in the sense that it achieves the optimal bound of the single copy shrinking factor. Unlike in the case of pure state cloning, the single copy shrinking factor does not uniquely determine the cloning map in the case of mixed state cloning.  相似文献

We present a protocol for directly measuring the concurrence of a two-photon polarization entangled pure or mixed state without prior quantum state tomography. By parity-check measurements and simple operations on two copies of the two-photon polarization entangled pure state, the concurrence is encoded in the total probability of picking up the odd parity states from the signal states. This protocol makes use of highly efficient homodyne detection, and it could be feasible in the near future with the help of the weak cross-Kerr nonlinearity. Moreover, our protocol can be used in a distributed fashion to directly determine the entanglement of remote states, which may find its important applications in quantum communication.  相似文献

We present an interesting monogamy equation for (2⊗2⊗n)-dimensional pure states, by which a quantity is found to characterize the tripartite entanglement with the GHZ type and W type entanglements as a whole. In particular, we, for the first time, reveals that for any quantum state of a pair of qubits, the difference between the two remarkable entanglement measures, concurrence and negativity, characterizes the W type entanglement of tripartite pure states with the two-qubit state as reduced density.  相似文献

We construct an explicit model where it can be established if a two mode pure Gaussian system is entangled or not by acting only on one of the parts that constitute the system. We present the results of an experiment on light scattering from an elongated Bose-Einstein condensate interacting with far off resonant laser light. Due to superradiant Rayleigh scattering a coherent superposition of two atomic wavepackets with different momenta forms in the presence of a single laser beam. Varying the intensity of a weak counterpropagating laser beam we observe the transition from the pure superradiant regime to the Bragg scattering regime, where Rabi oscillations in a two-level system are observed. The process is limited by the decoherence between the two atomic wavepackets.  相似文献

我们提出了一个远程制备三种形式的多粒子纯态的方案,远程制备一般形式的多粒子纯态及两种特殊情况下的多粒子纯态.首先利用大失谐腔制备出N个原子的纠缠态[14],并将这N个原子分配给Alice和Bob等其他的参与者.然后Alice根据要远程制备的态对她的原子进行相应的单原子投影测量,并且将测量结果以经典信息的方式告诉给其他参与者.其他参与者根据收到的信息决定对自己的原子要么不操作,要么进行特定的操作,来转换他们所共享的纠缠态,最终除Alice以外的参与者就会处于期望的纠缠态.每一种情况下的信息消耗都是很少的,只消耗一量子比特和一经典比特.整个方案都基于现有的腔量子电动力学技术,因此该方案是可行性的.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for the realization of unconventional geometric two-qubit phase gates with two identical two-level ions, In the present scheme, the two ions are simultaneously illuminated by a standing-wave laser pulse with its pulse frequency being tuned to the ionic transition. The gate operation time can be much shorter, making the system robust against decoherence. In addition, we choose the appropriate experimental parameters to construct the geometric phase gate in one step, and thus avoid implementing the pure geometric single qubit operation.[第一段]  相似文献

A global analysis of solar (including the recent SNO result), atmospheric, and reactor neutrino data is presented in terms of three-and four-neutrino oscillations. We first present the allowed regions of solar and atmospheric oscillation parameters assuming three-neutrino families, showing that in this framework it is possible to reconcile the two anomalies and providing an unified fit of all the observables at a time. Then, we consider scenarios where a sterile neutrino is added to the three standard ones and the mass spectra present two separate doublets. We evaluate the allowed active-sterile admixture in both solar and atmospheric oscillations, showing that, although the Super-Kamiokande data disfavor both the pure νμ→ν s atmospheric channel and, in combination with SNO, the pure ν e →ν s solar channel, the result from the combined analysis still favors close-to-pure active and sterile oscillations and disfavors oscillations into a near-maximal active-sterile admixture.  相似文献

The non-bijective version of Wigner's theorem states that a map which is defined on the set of self-adjoint, rank-one projections (or pure states) of a complex Hilbert space and which preserves the transition probability between any two elements, is induced by a linear or antilinear isometry. We present a completely new, elementary and very short proof of this famous theorem which is very important in quantum mechanics. We do not assume bijectivity of the mapping or separability of the underlying space like in many other proofs.  相似文献

We propose theoretically a spinlike Andreev reflection that may occur at the interface of a semimetal and a doped excitonic insulator. In contrast to the usual Andreev reflection, this process does not produce the charge current, but gives rise to a pure spin current. Further investigation reveals the existence of a spinlike Josephson phenomenon between two excitonic insulators with ferromagnetism, which results in a dissipationless spin current. We stress that the present spin current satisfies the conservation condition and is quite different from the spin Hall current induced from spin-orbital interactions.  相似文献
