We demonstrate an improvement of the sensitivity of a Raman tweezers set-up, which combines optical tweezers with Raman spectroscopy. The system was tested by taking the Raman spectrum of a 4.6 μm diameter polystyrene sphere trapped in an aqueous solution. The improvement of sensitivity of the set-up was achieved by adjusting the trap depth for maximum signal to noise ratio (SNR). The maximum SNR was obtained by investigating the Raman peak of a trapped polystyrene sphere at 1001 cm−1 according to trap depth. With this system, a single trapped living Schizosaccharomyces Pombe yeast cell was sensitively monitored by taking the kinetic Raman spectra for more than 2 h. The relative intensity decrease in amide I and amide III bands, frequency increase in amide I band together with alterations in tyrosine marker band around 850 cm−1 was observed, which indicates alterations in the hydration state of protein by time progressing. 相似文献

The spectra of 6H-SiC crystals including micropipes have been examined for the Si face using Raman scattering. The first-order Raman features reveal that the intensity of the transverse optical phonon band centered at ∼796 cm−1 is sensitive to the micropipes. And the second-order Raman features of the micropipes in bulk 6H-SiC are well-defined using the selection rules for second-order scattering in wurtzite structure. It is found that there are some second-order peaks missing for the micropipe-including sample, which may be induced by the reduction of the incident laser intensity at around the micropipe, especially the uneven surface in the inner wall of the micropipe. These features might also be employed to characterize other structural defects such as screw-dislocations and threading edge dislocations. 相似文献

Efficient vacuum-ultraviolet generation by anti-Stokes Raman scattering using a cryogenic Raman cell

We have investigated the increase of efficiency for high-order anti-Stokes Raman scattering using a cryogenic Raman cell. By cooling the cell to liquid-nitrogen temperature, output energies of the 9th-order anti-Stokes wave at 133 nm in normal hydrogen were enhanced by a factor of 10, and the 11th-order anti-Stokes line at 141 nm in normal deuterium appeared, while no output was observed at room temperature. No output energy enhancement, however, was obtained using cooled para-hydrogen as a result of multiple rotational Raman scattering. For long-term operation, the output window surface of the Raman cell was kept at above 200 K in order to protect it from deposition, the absorption of which is detrimental to VUV transmission. 相似文献

A detailed study of the surface passivation process in superparamagnetic cobalt ferrite nanoparticles has been carried out using micro Raman spectroscopy. In addition to Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and atomic absorption spectroscopy were also used to investigate passivated and non-passivated samples. The data were discussed in terms of changes in the structural characteristics of the samples considering the introduction of Fe ions during the passivation. The weak damage induced by 0.8 MeV Si ion implantation in the Al0.25Ga0.75As films epitaxially grown on GaAs substrates was studied by using Rutherford backscattering spectrometry/channeling (RBS/C) and Raman spectroscopy. RBS/C spectra measured from the implanted samples showed rather low damage level induced by the ion implantation with ion dose from 1×1014 to 5×1015 cm−2. The Raman spectra were measured on these samples. Two kinds of phonon modes, GaAs-like and AlAs-like, are observed, which indicate the existence of multiple phonon vibrational modes in the epitaxial Al0.25Ga0.75As films on the GaAs substrate. Compared with the unimplanted sample, the Raman photon peaks for the implanted sample shift gradually to lower energy with the increase of the implantation dose. The strains induced in the implanted layer were also evaluated from the Raman spectra. The result from high resolution double crystal X-ray diffractometry (HRXRD) also verified the evolution of the strains in the implanted layers. 相似文献

费米共振是分子内和分子间发生的基团间的振动耦合和能量转移现象。有关外场中费米共振的认识、拉曼光谱的研究方法及应用均待开发和推广。本文系统阐述了利用高压DAC技术、变温技术特别是课题组独创的变换溶剂浓度、LCOF等方法获得的有关费米共振的研究成果,即分子场、压力场、温度场等外场对分子内和分子间费米共振的影响:(1)分子场中a.由C_5H_5N在CH_3OH和H_2O中拉曼光谱变化研究表明溶剂效应对费米共振有明显影响;b.通过改变溶液浓度发现了其他方法未能发现的费米共振双线对非对称移动及双线对中倍频的基频亦受费米共振调谐的现象;c.溶液中的氢键、反氢键使分子基团重组而对费米共振产生显著影响;d.C_7H_8和m-C_8H_(105分子间发生会费米共振,且费米共振特性随溶液浓度明显改变;(2)压力场中a.随压强增加谱线蓝移,且频差△随压强改变而引起W改变;b.随压强增加CCl_4在C_6H_6中的v_1+v_4~v_3的W减小速度比纯液体中快,费米共振消失提前。这表明,压强引起的费米共振现象可揭示溶剂效应机理;(3)温度场中温度会影响分子费米共振特性,且对不同分子影响亦不同,温度对CO_2的费米共振影响较大,而对CS_2几乎无影响。本文对分子谱线的认证与归属、分子构象的确定及异构体的鉴别、氢键对分子结构与性质的影响等方面的研究提供了系统的理论与实验依据。 相似文献

液芯光纤可以使拉曼光谱强度提高103倍。研究了在stokes/anti stokes拉曼光谱强度比测温中如何获得理想测温结果的方法。用长为5.20m、内径为50μm的含C6H6和CCl4混合液体的液芯光纤,获得了高强度CCl4的±218cm-1,±314cm-1和±459cm-1的拉曼光谱。利用各光谱带的stokes与anti stokes的强度比(Is/Ia),确定了液芯光纤所在处的温度。实验结果表明,±459cm-1的强度比的实验值与理论值符合得很好,±218cm-1为较好,±314cm-1稍差一些。从理论和实验两方面总结了拉曼频移、光纤损耗、溶剂效应、仪器响应等对测温结果的影响。 相似文献

The changes in Raman spectra of graphene flakes after lithography processing are systematically investigated. It is found that substantial changes in the intensity of several Raman peaks are observed after lithography processes involving electron-sensitive and photon-sensitive resists. This finding is related to the generation of disorder and introduction of impurities in the graphene flakes. It is observed that the disorder induced after spin coating PMMA resist on the graphene flakes cannot be removed by acetone but can be eliminated by means of an annealing process. The use of the AZ6624 photo-sensitive resist produces Raman changes typical for amorphization. When using this resist, the disorder-induced changes in the Raman spectra persist even after the same annealing process, implying that the contamination caused by the used photo-sensitive resist is more difficult to eliminate. The present results emphasize the important role played by the lithography process, often taken for granted, in the physical properties of graphene. 相似文献

The germanium on silicon (Ge-on-Si) semiconductor nanostructures with a vacuum-deposited silver coating are tested as substrates for detecting microamounts of inorganic crystalline ultramarine pigment by enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). At least tenfold enhancement of Raman lines is obtained. The quantum-chemical calculations are performed and used to assign the bands in the Raman spectra. We present a combined Raman–density functional theory (DFT) study of novel dipyridophenazine (dppz) derivatives and their Ru–bipyridine complexes. Our results show that the molecular architecture of dppz and its Ru complexes can be considered to consist of two independent moieties, the structural ground state properties of which can be tuned independently by means of side‐specific substitution. These results are expected to be of importance for the design of highly specific dppz‐based DNA sensors. Methodologically, the results presented in this paper highlight the power of a combined Raman–DFT approach to unravel the details of the structural properties of complex molecules. With the multiphase field method, the stability of lamellar basic state is investigated during the directional solidification of eutectic alloy CBr4-C2Cl6. A great number of lamellar patterns observed in experiments are simulated, and a stability diagram for lamellar pattern selections is presented. The simulated growth behaviours of these patterns are found to be qualitatively consistent with Karma et al's numerical calculations and experimental results. The formation of the primary instability is attributed to the destabilization of solute boundary layer. 相似文献
