In continuous magnetic fields H up to 28 T, we have studied the out-of-plane transport properties and tunneling characteristics of high-quality nondoped single crystals of the Bi-cuprate family: Bi2Sr2CuO6+δ (Bi2201), Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ (Bi2212) and Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+δ (Bi2223) grown by an identical method. For all compounds the out-of-plane magnetotransport ρc(H) is negative in the temperature region where ρc(T) shows in the normal state a semiconducting-like temperature dependence. The negative magnetoresistance of ρc corresponds to the suppression of the semiconducting temperature dependence of ρc(T) which is found to be isotropic. For the Bi2201 compound, where the normal state can be reached in the available magnetic fields (28 T), a nearly complete suppression of the low-temperature upturn in ρc(T) is observed in the highest magnetic fields with a tendency towards a metallic behavior down to the lowest temperatures (0.4 K). Using the break-junction technique, especially for the Bi2212 and Bi2232 compounds, a clear superconducting gap structure can be observed. Both for temperatures above the critical temperature and for magnetic fields above the upper critical field, a pseudogap structure remains present in the tunneling spectra. The applied magnetic fields yield a stronger suppression of the superconducting state compared to that of the normal-state gap structures as manifested in ρc(T) transport and tunneling.  相似文献

The role of charge carriers in ZnO2/CuO2 planes of Cu0.5Tl0.5Ba2Ca3Cu4−yZnyO12−δ material in bringing about superconductivity has been explained. Due to suppression of anti-ferromagnetic order with Zn 3d10 (S=0) substitution at Cu 3d9 sites in the inner CuO2 planes of Cu0.5Tl0.5Ba2Ca3Cu4O12−δ superconductor, the distribution of charge carriers becomes homogeneous and optimum, which is evident from the enhanced superconductivity parameters. The decreased c-axis length with the increase of Zn doping improves interlayer coupling and hence the three dimensional (3D) conductivity in the unit cell is enhanced. Also the softening of phonon modes with the increased Zn doping indicates that the electron–phonon interaction has an essential role in the mechanism of high-Tc superconductivity in these compounds.  相似文献

Anisotropic superconducting materials often show an enhanced pinning along their crystallographic ab-planes. To obtain information about such a behavior of the high-Tc system Hg-1201 (HgBa2CuO4) magnetic investigations on a single crystal are performed for the two field orientations, parallel to the c-axis and parallel to the ab-planes. The dependence of the ac magnetization on temperature, magnetic field and frequency is determined. Compared to former results on powder samples of this system no indication of a second peak in the imaginary part of the susceptibility χ′′ is found. It seems to be shifted to higher temperatures overlapping now with the first peak. The corresponding irreversibility lines for both orientations, parallel to c and parallel to ab, are determined and discussed within the framework of a “diffusion” model.  相似文献

Aspects of the higher-n λ( n) permutational modules associated with Young subgroups of various highly-branched high-n fold algebras, which are pertinent to identical spin NMR clusters, are presented for λ [boxvr] n (or λ [boxvR] n), aRota p-tuple or number partition; the method of optimal choice for deriving the Λ[λ′] Kostka coefficients, found in {[λ′]} sets derived from λ permutational module expansions, rests on the ordering of the λ-(shape) to the self-associated diagram(s) in the dominance hierarchy. Hence, physical insight into these cage-cluster NMR systems is developed both from these properties and from the inter-related induced symmetries of GL(n, ) and n groups. From these associated combinatorial, mapping or scalar invariant aspects of SU(mnn symmetry, one may define the [A]n( n) systems of [AX]n NMR problems in a general semi-topological limit. This corresponds to a high-n n limit in which the individual spin cluster exhibits a lack of any (intracluster) ‘magnetic equivalence’ properties.  相似文献

Effects of a combined substitute of Yb and Nd on Y site on the superconducting properties of YBa2Cu3Oy have been studied. We synthesized Y1−x(Yb0.9Nd0.1)xBa2Cu3Oz compound with x = 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0. Here, the ratio of Yb–Nd was fixed to be 9:1 for obtaining 123 phase without secondary phases. The melt processing thermal profiles for Y1−x(Yb0.9Nd0.1)xBa2Cu3Oz with x = 0.2 and 0.4 and the addition of 40 mol% {Y1−x(Yb0.9Nd0.1)x}2BaCuO5 and 0.5 wt% Pt in air were determined on the basis of the thermal analysis results. All samples showed a low grain growth rate, particularly for high x values, which may be partially ascribed to un-optimized thermal schedules. Although almost all the samples exhibited low Jc values, the sample with x = 0.2 exhibited Tc of 88.8 K and a relatively high Jc value of 16,000 A/cm2 at 77 K for H//c-axis.  相似文献

The nature of the pseudogap state and its relation to the d-wave superconductivity in high-T c superconductors is still an open issue. The vortex-like excitations detected by the Nernst effect measurements exist in a certain temperature range above superconducting transition temperature T c, which strongly support that the pseudogap phase is characterized by finite pairing amplitude with strong phase fluctuations and imply that the phase transition at T c is driven by the loss of long-range phase coherence. We first briefly introduce the electronic phase diagram and pseudogap state of high-T c superconductors, and then review the results of Nernst effect for different high-T c superconductors. Related theoretical models are also discussed.  相似文献

The temperature (T) dependence of electrical and dielectric characteristics such as series resistance (Rs), dielectric constant (ε′), dielectric loss (ε″), dielectric loss tangent (tan δ), and real and imaginary part of electrical modulus (M′ and M″) of the Au/SiO2/n-GaAs (MOS) structures have been investigated in the temperature range of 80–350 K at various frequencies by using experimental capacitance (C) and conductance (G/w) measurements. Experimental results show that both C and G/w characteristics were quite sensitive to frequency and temperature at especially high temperatures and low frequencies due to a continuous density distribution of interface states and their relaxation time, and thermal restructuring and reordering of the interface. Series resistance values of this device obtained from Nicollian method decrease with increasing frequency and temperature. The ε′, ε″, tan δ, and M′ and M″ were found a strong function of frequency and temperature. While the values of ε′, ε″, and tan δ decrease, M′ and M″ increase with increasing frequency. Also, while ε′ and ε″ increase, M′ and M″ decrease with increasing temperature. The tan δ and M′ values are almost independent temperature especially at high frequencies (f≥500 kHz).  相似文献

The vapor grown SbSBrxI1−x (x=0.1; 0.5; 0.9) crystals with clear mirror surfaces have been used for infrared reflection measurements with Fourier spectrometer. The vibration frequencies along c(z)-axis have been derived from Kramers–Kroning and optical parameters fitting analysis of the experimental reflectivity spectra at T=300 K. The theoretical vibration spectra of SbSBrxS1−x (x=0.1; 0.5; 0.9) crystals in paraelectric phase (T=300 K) along c(z)-axis have been determined in quasiharmonic approximation by diagonalization of dynamical matrix. The theoretical vibration spectra of these crystals in ab(xy) plane have been determined in harmonic approximation. In this work we discuss the nature of anharmonism in SbSBrxI1−x crystals along the c(z)-axis.  相似文献

For analyzing the checker-board like modulation of the local density of states (LDOS) around a vortex observed in the slightly overdoped Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox, we examined the effect of pseudogap state of high-Tc superconductors to the LDOS around the vortex. We first derived the Bogoliubov-de Gennes equation for d-wave superconductivity (d-SC) in the presence of d-spin density wave (d-SDW). Using the Fourier–Bessel expansion, we solved this equation for a single vortex state, numerically. We found that the peak of the bound states around E = 0 becomes small and modulation of the LDOS is observed for larger d-SDW order parameter.  相似文献

A general mathematical formulation is developed for calculating the effective electron-electron interaction in layered crystals like YBa2Cu3O7−δ, and for finding the resulting superconducting transition temperatureT c in such systems within the framework of the conventional BCS pairing arising from various possible excitations in the medium. This differs considerably from the usual case of an effective three-dimensional homogeneous system, and should be relevant in the calculation ofT c for the new class of high-T c perovskites in which oxygen deficiencies in Cu-O layers and their distribution in the crystal play a crucial role. The explicit form of the effective interactionV jj(q t,ω) in a given layerj in the unit cell of the crystal is found to be determined not only by the true polarization functionπ j(q t,ω) of that layer, but also of other layers. The exchange of electronic excitations of a nearby insulating layer by carriers in a conducting layer thus becomes possible to get highT c, with or without the usual phonon exchange.  相似文献

To consider the origin of a pseudogap and a superconducting (SC) gap found in the high-Tc cuprates, we evaluated the momentum dependence of the singlet gap corresponding to the pseudogap and the SC gap in the tJ model, using an optimization variational Monte Carlo (VMC) method. In the underdoped regime, the singlet gap is significantly modified from the simple dx2-y2(d)-wave gap (∝ cos kx − cos ky) by the contribution of long-range pairings. Its angular dependence at the quasi Fermi surface is qualitatively consistent with those experimentally observed in both hole and electron-doped cuprates. On the other hand, a SC gap is almost unchanged, preserving the original simple d-wave form. Thus, it seems that the incoherent part of the singlet gap mainly influences the forms of observed gaps.  相似文献

We report the upper critical field Hc2 in a ternary iron-silicide superconductor Lu2Fe3Si5 with Tc  6 K obtained by the resistivity measurements. We find that Hc2 increases linearly with decreasing temperature down to Tc/3, and Hc2(T = 0) exceeds the orbital depairing field described by the Werthamer–Helfand–Hohenberg theory. We also find that the anisotropy of Hc2 is nearly independent of temperature and the angular dependence of Hc2 is well-described by the anisotropic Ginzburg–Landau model. These results strongly indicate the presence of two distinct superconducting gaps in Lu2Fe3Si5 although the behavior is slightly different from that of the typical two-gap superconductor MgB2.  相似文献

Bulk superconductivity was observed in the FeAs-based RE1−xSrxFeAsO (RE = La, Pr) when the di-valence element Sr was substituted to the site of the tri-valence element La and Pr. The maximum superconducting transition temperatures Tc for the two systems are 26 K and 16.3 K, respectively. The doping dependence of the electrical properties and structure of these two systems were investigated systematically. A roughly monotonic increase of Tc and the lattice constants (a-axis and c-axis) with Sr concentration and a saturation behavior in the high doping levels were found. We confirmed that conduction in this type of materials is dominated by hole-like charge carriers by the Hall effect measurements. Also the resistive measurements revealed possible higher upper critical field in these systems comparing with the electron-doped ones.  相似文献

The microstructures and the microwave dielectric properties of the (1 − x)(Mg0.95Co0.05)TiO3x(Na0.5La0.5)TiO3 ceramic system were investigated. Two-phase system was confirmed by the XRD patterns and the EDX analysis. A co-existed second phase (Mg0.95Co0.05)Ti2O5 was also detected. The microwave dielectric properties are strongly related to the density and the matrix of the specimen. A new microwave dielectric material 0.88(Mg0.95Co0.05)TiO3–0.12(Na0.5La0.5)TiO3, possessing an excellent combination of dielectric properties: εr  22.36, Q × f  110,000 GHz (at 9 GHz), τf  2.9 ppm/°C), is proposed as a candidate dielectric for GPS patch antennas.  相似文献

We investigated the effects of added Tm2O3, Sc2O3, and Yb2O3 on the superconducting properties of sintered Er123 samples. Tm2O3 addition caused the least Tc degradation, exhibiting a Tc above 90 K even for 17 vol% addition. Samples with added Sc2O3 maintained a Tc at above 90 K up to an addition of 7.2 vol%, while Yb2O3-containing samples showed a monotonic decrease in Tc with increased vol% of added Yb2O3. Tm2O3-containing samples exhibited a slight increase in Jc(0.1 T)/Jc(0) and had constant Jc values even for 17 vol% addition. XRD and SEM results indicate that the Tm2O3 is very stable in the superconducting matrix.  相似文献

Gd1−xCaxBaSrCu3O7−δ samples (0  x  0.1) were prepared via solid-state reaction. Four-point probes method was used for resistance versus temperature measurements. Results show decrease in Tc by increasing x content. This variation is assumed to be irrelevant to the different phases or impurity effects since X-ray patterns show all samples are tetragonal single-phase. Ca doping decreases the oxygen content and lattice parameters of the samples. It is suggested that Ca prevents the dislocation of oxygen, and then disrupts the hole concentration of the system and antiferromagnetic correlation at CuO2 planes. Subsequently, destroys the superconductivity of the samples.  相似文献

We have recently achieved superconductivity in T′-RE2CuO4 (RE: Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, and Gd), using epitaxial thin films by metal organic decomposition. The key recipes to achieve superconductivity are low-PO2 firing and subsequent vacuum reduction to minimize the amount of impurity oxygen atoms, which are very harmful to high-Tc superconductivity. In this article, we report our investigation on the reduction dependence of superconductivity of T′-RE2CuO4. For thin films, the amount of remnant Oap atoms is difficult to evaluate but we propose that one good measure for this may be the c-axis lattice constant, which tells us whether the reduction is insufficient or excessive.  相似文献

Electron-doped (Ba1−x La x )MnO3 compounds were prepared for x=0−0.5. Measurements of X-ray diffraction (XRD) at room temperature and temperature variation of dc electrical resistivity down to 20 K were carried out. Samples with x=0.2–0.5 exhibit metal-insulator (M-I) transition. The maximum M-I transition temperature (T c) of 289 K was observed for 30% of La doping (x=0.3). XRD patterns of these samples (x=0.2−0.5) were analyzed using Rietveld refinement. These samples are found to be mostly in single-phase form with orthorhombic symmetry (space group Pbnm). We have found strong correlation between Mn-O-Mn bond angles and T c of M-I transition. The resistivity data below T c could be fitted to the expression ρ=ρ 1+ρ 2 T 2 and this shows that double exchange interaction plays a major role even in Mn4+-rich compound. Above T c the resistivity data were fitted to variable range hopping and small polaron models.  相似文献
