Lifetimes of six excited states in 56Co below 1.75 MeV have been measured by the Doppler-shift attenuation method. The levels were excited via the 54Fe(3He, pγ) reaction with 10.4 MeV 3He particles. Gamma rays were measured in a 45 cm3 Ge(Li) detector in coincidence with protons backscattered near 180°. Reduced transition probabilities extracted from measured lifetimes compare favourably with shell model predictions of McGrory.  相似文献

High spin states of 57Co have been studied via prompt γ-ray spectroscopy in the reactions 48Ti(12C, p2n) and 54Fe(α, p) at 26–48 MeV and 12–24 MeV, respectively. The energies and decay modes of these levels were determined from the analysis of γ-ray singles and γ-γ coincidence spectra, excitation functions, angular distributions and correlations. The relevant lifetimes were measured by the Doppler-shift attenuation method. The new levels established in this work are at 4037, 4814 and 5918 keV with the most probable Jπ assignment of 152?, if 172? and 192?, respectively. The previously known level at 2524 keV was assigned to have Jπ = 132?. These together with the known 92?(1224 keV) and 112?(1690 keV) levels constitute the yrast states of 57Co. The measured lifetimes of the above six levels are (in order of increasing energies) 0.085±0.030, 0.32±0.10, 0.16±0.06, 0.10?0.07+0.06, 1.5?0.54 and 0.17?0.07+0.08 ps, respectively. Comparisons with some theoretical calculations are presented.  相似文献

The differential cross section of the elastic scattering 3He(4He, 4He)3He has been measured at center of mass energies Ec.m. between 28 and 44 MeV and in the c.m. angular range of 20° to 160°. The 3He polarization P at Ec.m. = 42 MeV and θc.m. = 132° was determined in a double scattering experiment. The analysis of the cross section data with the optical and the cluster model has been described previously. The phase shifts obtained in the cluster model calculations were used as starting values in a phase shift analysis. The resulting final real phase shifts and elasticity parameters give good fits to the cross section data. At 44 MeV the elasticity parameters show a pronounced odd-even dependence on angular momentum which had been found already in the case of the real phase shifts. The result of the polarization experiment |P| < 0.22 is consistent with cluster model predictions.  相似文献

57CO1?xO Mössbauer sources were prepared at 1000°C and different oxygen pressures. The number x of Co vacancies, which depend on the oxygen pressure during the preparation, determine the Fe3+ fraction in the emission spectrum of the source at room-temperature. A theoretical model allows a correlation between these quantities.Measurements on 57Co1?xO sources between room-temperature and 1000°C proved that at temperatures above 500°C electron relaxations between the 57Fem impurity, introduced in the lattice as a consequence of the 57Co decay, and the valence band take place. A theoretical model was developed which describes these relaxation phenomena reasonably well.  相似文献

The 56Fe(τ, d)57Co reaction has been studied at Eτ = 18 MeV using the Tandem Van de Graaff accelerator and the multichannel magnetic spectrograph of the Nuclear Physics Laboratory, Oxford, Angular distributions have been measured for most of the levels up to Ex ≈ 7.8 MeV and are analysed in terms of the DWBA theory of direct reactions. Tensor analyzing powers, T20, of outgoing α-particles in the 58Ni(d, α)56Co reaction at detection angles near 0° have been measured for excited states in 56Co for beam energies of 6.75, 7.0, 7.5, 9.0 and 9.5 MeV. Thirty-seven spin-parity combinations for 56Co excited states have been deduced. Previous Jπ ambiguities for 11 of these states have been eliminated, and results in conflict with existing assignments for the levels at 3.235 and 3.378 MeV have been obtained. A search for 0+ states was carried out from angular distribution measurements at forward angles of the unpolarized (d, α) reaction. The combined results from this and previous experiments were found to be in reasonable agreement with calculated level schemes.  相似文献

56Fe(d, p)57Fe reactions have been studied with 10 MeV vector polarized deuterons over the angular range 15° ≦ θp ≦ 80°. Angular distributions of the vector analysing power and the differential cross section have been measured for reactions leading to levels in 57Fe. Distorted wave Born approximation calculations are compared to the measurements. The observed j-dependence of the vector analysing power results in eighteen new spin-parity assignments for levels in 57Fe. Spectroscopic factors are extracted from the differential cross-section measurements. The results are compared to the predictions of the single-particle shell model and to models including collective structure.  相似文献

The 59Co(d, 3He)58Fe reaction at a deuteron energy of 33.3 MeV was used to populate proton hole states in 58Fe. Angular distributions were measured for the states up to 6 MeV excitation. From DWBA analysis, l-values and spectroscopic factors were extracted. The particle-vibration coupling model was used to interpret the positive-parity states observed in the present experiment as well as the related properties of 58Fe established so far. The model calculation has reproduced rather well the level properties of 58Fe.  相似文献

The 16O(6Li, d)20Ne reaction to the 2?, 4.97 MeV, 3?, 5.63 MeV, and 4?, 7.01 MeV members of the Kπ = 2? band has been studied. Angular distributions were measured at 32 MeV from 7.5° to 145° (lab). Excitation functions were measured at 15° (lab) and 145° (lab) from 31 to 33 MeV and 31.75 to 32.5 MeV, respectively. Results of multi-step and compound nuclear calculations are compared to the data. At this incident energy, both mechanisms appear to contribute to the population of the unnatural parity levels.  相似文献

Resonances in the reaction 56Fe(p, γ)57Co have been surveyed over the energy range 1.2 ? Ep ? 1.5 MeV wherein the analogues of the ground state (Jπ = 12?, 0.014 MeV state (Jπ = 32?) and 0.136 MeV state (Jπ = 52?) of 57Fe are expected to occur. Gamma-ray angular distributions have been used to establish resonance and bound-state spins, and decay schemes have been determined. The analogue resonances appear to be severely fragmented, however the density of resonances of a given spin correlates quite well with (3He, d) results and with the expected analogue-state positions.  相似文献

The reaction 14C(3He, n)16O has been measured at a 3He bombarding energy of 25.4 MeV. The zero-degree differential cross section for the excitation of the three low lying 0+T = 0 states, at energies 0.0, 6.05 and 12.05 MeV are, respectively, 1.33 ± 0.10, 0.49 ± 0.10, and 0.50 ± 0.10 mb/sr These measured cross sections are in rough agreement with single-step zero-range DWBA calculations using an empirically determined 14C ground state wave function and in which the Brown and Green coexistence-model wave functions are used to describe the 16O 0+ states. The angular distribution of the transition to the ground state is measured between 0° and 32°.  相似文献

The energy levels of 74As have been studied using the 73Ge(3He, d)74As reaction at an incident energy of 17 MeV. The overall energy resolution was 30 keV. Twenty-five levels in 74As were identified up to 2.2 MeV excitation energy and angular distributions were measured in the interval 334° to 8614°. Spectroscopic strengths and lp values have been extracted for many of the transitions by means of a distorted-wave analysis of the differential cross sections. A comparison with the 75As(p, d) data suggests the presence of several unresolved doublets in 74As.  相似文献

The energy levels of 123I and 125I have been studied in the 122, 124Te(3He, d)123, 125I reactions at 24 MeV bombarding energy. The reaction products were analysed with an Enge split-pole magnetic spectrograph. A total of 57 levels below 3.3 MeV in 123I and 79 levels below 4.1 MeV in 125I were observed. Angular distributions were measured and compared with DWBA calculations to obtain orbital angular momentum transfers and spectroscopic strengths. The results were compared to previous radioactive decay studies and to theoretical energy level calculations.  相似文献

The differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of 3He ions on targets of 40Ca and 58Ni have been measured at incident energies of 27.7, 51.4, 73.2 and 83.5 MeV. The results of optical model analyses showed that only one unique potential (JR ≈ 330 MeV · fm3) with a surface absorptive term can provide acceptable fits to the large angle elastic scattering cross sections at 83.5 MeV. The particular geometrical set found at 83.5 MeV could not, however, give an adequate fit to the data with energy less than 40 MeV. Subsequent analyses indicated that a break in the energy dependence of the real potential is observed for the low energy data. Explicit energy dependent terms were obtained by fitting all the data simultaneously. These phenomenological potentials were also compared with the folded nucleon-nucleus potential. The influence of the α-particle channels on the elastic scattering of 3He ions at 83.5 MeV was also examined.  相似文献

The 116Sn(d, 3He)115In reaction has been investigated at Ed = 50 MeV. Thirteen transitions to states up to 3 MeV excitation energy were studied. The measured angular distributions were compared with DWBA calculations and transferred angular momenta and spectroscopic factors were deduced. Levels at 1.04, 2.23 and 2.52 MeV were found to be excited most likely by l = 3 angular momentum transfer in contrast to previous investigations at lower incident energies in which no l = 3 transitions have been observed.  相似文献

Thick-target recoil ranges of radioactive nuclei produced in 30–200 MeV alpha-particle bombardment of 59Co have been used to deduce the longitudinal momentum transfer per projectile nucleon (p6/A) as a function of residue mass and bombarding energy. The average value of p6/A increases monotonically with bombarding energy and reaches a maximum value of ≈ 160 MeV/c at ≈ 23 MeV/u, and decreases thereafter. The maximum value of p6/A is equal to the incident momentum up to ≈ 23 MeV/u and saturates at a value of ≈ 220 MeV/c beyond this energy.  相似文献

The polarization of 21 MeV 3He elastically scattered from 27Al and 28Si has been measured in an angular range of θlab = 25°–55°. Differential cross-section data have been obtained out to angles of approximately 100°. The small values observed in the polarization distributions differ somewhat from optical-model predictions based on fits to the differential cross-section data and cannot be used to obtain significant information about the optical-model spin-orbit potential. It is concluded that statistically significant, non-zero 3He polarization measurements will not be possible using traditional double scattering techniques for 3He energies ≦ 27 MeV and targets of Z ≧ 13.  相似文献

The level structure of 141Ce up to 3.7 MeV excitation energy has been investigated by the (d, t) and (3He, α) reactions using 17 MeV deuteron and 24 MeV 3He beams respectively. The angular distributions have been analyzed with standard DWBA calculations and spectroscopic factors are deduced. The experimental information is compared to unified model calculations involving both one-particle and two-particle one-hole configurations with quadrupole and octupole vibrations of the underlying N = 82 and N = 84 core.  相似文献
