Modelling complex systems and their supervisior has attracted the high interest of many scientists and engineers. There has been a need for highly sophisticated Autonomous Intelligent Systems. A very promising methodology to model the Supervisor of a plant is the use of Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCM). FCM are a combination of Fuzzy Logic and Neural Networks. A new mathematical model for FCMs is proposed and its representation is examined in this paper. FCM construction is presented through the development of the model for a simple control process problem. Then, issues for the application of FCM as the model of the supervisor of a complex system are addressed and a hierarchical two-level structure is proposed.  相似文献

Ranking of fuzzy numbers play an important role in decision making, optimization and forecasting etc. Fuzzy numbers must be ranked before an action is taken by a decision maker. In this paper, with the help of several counter examples, it is proved that ranking method proposed by Chen and Chen (Expert Systems with Applications 36 (3): 6833) is incorrect. The main aim of this paper is to propose a new approach for the ranking of generalized trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. The proposed ranking approach is based on rank and mode so it is named as an RM approach. The main advantage of the proposed approach is that the proposed approach provides the correct ordering of generalized and normal trapezoidal fuzzy numbers and also the proposed approach is very simple and easy to apply in the real life problems. It is shown that proposed ranking function satisfies all the reasonable properties of fuzzy quantities proposed by Wang and Kerre (Fuzzy Sets and Systems 118 (3): 375).  相似文献

Group decision making is the process to explore the best choice among the screened alternatives under predefined criteria with corresponding weights from assessment of a group of decision makers. The Fuzzy TOPSIS taking an evaluated fuzzy decision matrix as input is a popular tool to analyze the ideal alternative. This research, however, finds that the classical fuzzy TOPSIS produces a misleading result due to some inappropriate definitions, and proposes the rectified fuzzy TOPSIS addressing two technical problems. As the decision accuracy also depends on the evaluation quality of the fuzzy decision matrix comprising rating scores and weights, this research applies compound linguistic ordinal scale as the fuzzy rating scale for expert judgments, and cognitive pairwise comparison for determining the fuzzy weights. The numerical case of a robot selection problem demonstrates the hybrid approach leading to the much reliable result for decision making, comparing with the conventional fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process and TOPSIS.  相似文献

This paper considers a construction project problem under multiple criteria in a fuzzy environment and proposes a new two-phase group decision making (GDM) approach. This approach integrates a modified analytic network process (ANP) and an improved compromise ranking method, known as VIKOR. To take uncertainty and risk into account, a new decision making approach is presented with multiple fuzzy information by a group of experts, and a risk attitude for each expert is incorporated that can be expressed linguistically. First, a modified fuzzy ANP method is introduced to address the problem of dependence as well as feedback among conflicting criteria and to determine their relative importance. Then, a fuzzy VIKOR method is extended to rank potential projects on the basis of their overall performance. An illustrative example from the literature is provided for the construction project problem to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed approach. The computational results show that the proposed two-phase GDM approach is suitable to cope with imprecision and subjectivity for the complicated decision making problem. Finally, the associated results of the proposed approach with risk attitudes and without risk attitudes are compared with the results reported by Cheng and Li [1], and the merits are highlighted.  相似文献

In the paper, the term consensus scheme is utilized to denote a dynamic and iterative process where the experts involved discuss a multicriteria decision problem. This discussion process is conducted by a human or artificial moderator, with the purpose of minimizing the discrepancy between the individual opinions.During the process of decision making, each expert involved must provide preference information. The information format and the circumstances where it must be given play a critical role in the decision process. This paper analyses a generic consensus scheme, which considers many different preference input formats, several possible interventions of the moderator, as well as admitting several stop conditions for interrupting the discussion process. In addition, a new consensus scheme is proposed with the intention of eliminating some difficulties met when the traditional consensus schemes are utilized in real applications. It preserves the experts’ integrity through the intervention of an external person, to supervise and mediate the conflicting situations. The human moderator is supposed to interfere in the discussion process by adjusting some parameters of the mathematical model or by inviting an expert to update his opinion. The usefulness of this consensus scheme is demonstrated by its use to solve a multicriteria group decision problem, generated applying the Balanced Scorecard methodology for enterprise strategy planning. In the illustrating problem, the experts are allowed to give their preferences in different input formats. But the information provided is made uniform on the basis of fuzzy preference relations through the use of adequate transformation functions, before being analyzed. The advantage of using fuzzy set theory for solving multiperson multicriteria decision problems lies in the fact that it can provide the flexibility needed to adequately deal with the uncertain factors intrinsic to such problems.  相似文献

This paper presents a consensus model for group decision making with interval multiplicative and fuzzy preference relations based on two consensus criteria: (1) a consensus measure which indicates the agreement between experts’ preference relations and (2) a measure of proximity to find out how far the individual opinions are from the group opinion. These measures are calculated by using the relative projections of individual preference relations on the collective one, which are obtained by extending the relative projection of vectors. First, the weights of experts are determined by the relative projections of individual preference relations on the initial collective one. Then using the weights of experts, all individual preference relations are aggregated into a collective one. The consensus and proximity measures are calculated by using the relative projections of experts’ preference relations respectively. The consensus measure is used to guide the consensus process until the collective solution is achieved. The proximity measure is used to guide the discussion phase of consensus reaching process. In such a way, an iterative algorithm is designed to guide the experts in the consensus reaching process. Finally the expected value preference relations are defined to transform the interval collective preference relation to a crisp one and the weights of alternatives are obtained from the expected value preference relations. Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the models and approaches.  相似文献

The mission of Stone Industry Development Center (SIDC) at Taiwan attempts to promote the upgrading of the Taiwanese stone industry which recently has suffered a severe depression. After several years of technical developments, SIDC tends to shift focus to efficient use of existing knowledge/information. Consequently, a knowledge portal system (KPS) is expected to be a strategic tool to improve the competitiveness of the Taiwanese stone industry. This study proposes a fuzzy AHP approach to help five domain experts individually evaluate three KPS development tools. Then, a technique to determine the weights of experts, which is used while aggregating group decisions, is addressed. Finally, the weighted geometric mean method is applied to reach the final decision.  相似文献

The Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to the Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), one of the major multi attribute decision making (MADM) techniques, ranks the alternatives according to their distances from the ideal and the negative ideal solution. In real evaluation and decision making problems, it is vital to involve several people and experts from different functional areas in decision making process. Also under many conditions, crisp data are inadequate to model real-life situations, since human judgments including preferences are often vague and cannot estimate his preference with an exact numerical value. Therefore aggregation of fuzzy concept, group decision making and TOPSIS methods that we denote “fuzzy group TOPSIS” is more practical than original TOPSIS.  相似文献

A QFD-based fuzzy MCDM approach for supplier selection   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Supplier selection is a highly important multi-criteria group decision making problem, which requires a trade-off between multiple criteria exhibiting vagueness and imprecision with the involvement of a group of experts. In this paper, a fuzzy multi-criteria group decision making approach that makes use of the quality function deployment (QFD) concept is developed for supplier selection process. The proposed methodology initially identifies the features that the purchased product should possess in order to satisfy the company’s needs, and then it seeks to establish the relevant supplier assessment criteria. Moreover, the proposed algorithm enables to consider the impacts of inner dependence among supplier assessment criteria. The upper and the lower bounds of the weights of supplier assessment criteria and ratings of suppliers are computed by using the fuzzy weighted average (FWA) method. The FWA method allows for the fusion of imprecise and subjective information expressed as linguistic variables or fuzzy numbers. The method produces less imprecise and more realistic overall desirability levels, and thus it rectifies the problem of loss of information. A fuzzy number ranking method that is based on area measurement is used to obtain the final ranking of suppliers. The computational procedure of the proposed framework is illustrated through a supplier selection problem reported in an earlier study.  相似文献

Owing to the increasing complexity in various management, aggregating experts’ knowledge and experiences to make an appropriate decision is an important research area. However, with aggregation of information in decision process, some information may be lost. The aim of this paper is to present a systematic methodology avoiding information loss for group decision making. An extended TOPSIS method is twice used to the current method, which is first used to determine the weights of decision makers, and second used to rank the preference order of alternatives. The proposed approach is straightforward and has no aggregation of information. A comparison of proposed method with other methods is also done. Finally, a numerical example for supplier selection is given to illustrate the application of the introduced method.  相似文献

The paper develops a new intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) programming method to solve group decision making (GDM) problems with interval-valued fuzzy preference relations (IVFPRs). An IF programming problem is formulated to derive the priority weights of alternatives in the context of additive consistent IVFPR. In this problem, the additive consistent conditions are viewed as the IF constraints. Considering decision makers’ (DMs’) risk attitudes, three approaches, including the optimistic, pessimistic and neutral approaches, are proposed to solve the constructed IF programming problem. Subsequently, a new consensus index is defined to measure the similarity between DMs according to their individual IVFPRs. Thereby, DMs’ weights are objectively determined using the consensus index. Combining DMs’ weights with the IF program, a corresponding IF programming method is proposed for GDM with IVFPRs. An example of E-Commerce platform selection is analyzed to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. Finally, the IF programming method is further extended to the multiplicative consistent IVFPR.  相似文献

Intuitionistic fuzzy set plays a vital role in decision making, data analysis, and artificial intelligence. Many decision‐making problems consist of different types of datum, where fuzzy set theoretical approaches may fail to obtain the optimal decision. Numerous approaches for intuitionistic fuzzy decision‐making problem have been introduced in the literature to overcome these short comings. But there is no single approach that can be used to solve all kinds of problems because of the partial ordering defined on the collection of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs). Even though ranking of fuzzy numbers have been studied from early seventies in the last century, a total order on the entire class of fuzzy numbers has been introduced by Wang and Wang (Fuzzy Sets Syst 2014, 243, 131–141) only on 2014. A total order on the collection of all IFN is an open problem till today. In this article, a total order on the entire class of IFN using upper lower dense sequence in the interval [0, 1] is proposed and compared with existing techniques using illustrative examples, further an algorithm (which is problem independent) for solving any intuitionistic fuzzy multicriteria decision‐making problem (Intuitionistic fuzzy MCDM) is introduced. This new total ordering on IFNs generalizes the total ordering defined in Wang and Wang ( 22 ) for fuzzy numbers. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Complexity 21: 54–66, 2016  相似文献
