The metalation of oxazoles leads to ring opening to the isocyanoenolate that can be O-acylated to give the unsaturated isonitriles. These substances undergo conventional multicomponent reactions. The products of their reactions are readily converted to acyl substitution products by treatment with acid and a nucleophile. These unsaturated isonitriles are notable by their simple preparations and, unusually, their nonoffensive odors.  相似文献

Abstract

Even though the history and chemistry of polyperoxides is long known, they need further investigation with respect to their reactivity and applications to understand their real potential. For instance, unlike in acid polyperoxides, only scanty reports have been made on the initiating behavior of vinyl polyperoxides inspite of their well-known synthetic chemistry. Hence, it appears that there remains a significant gap between the discovery of vinyl polyperoxides and in our understanding of their role as radical initiator. This article is intended to fill this gap by ventilating the significant developments on polyperoxides, which are finding an increasing role both in fundamental and applied polymer science. However, the scope of this article is restricted to their synthetic methodologies, degradation and applications as initiators/curatives. The kinetics and mechanism of their formation and degradation have been dealt with briefly. The characteristic and notable features of the kinetics and mechanism on polyperoxide initiated polymerizations are also discussed, and some of their applications are highlighted. Emphasis has also been laid on the futuristic research trends on polyperoxides.  相似文献

Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are intensively investigated for their superior physical, chemical, and biological properties. A proper knowledge of these properties is essential to maximizing the potential applications of AgNPs in several areas while minimizing their risks to humans and the environment. This paper aims to critically review AgNPs from the perspectives of research trends, global consumption, synthesis, properties, and future challenges. Generally, AgNPs can be synthesized using three methods, namely physical, chemical, and biological, and the related works as well as their numerous advantages and disadvantages are presented in this review. In addition, AgNPs can be potentially explored for various applications. Future challenges on (AgNP) synthesis, their release into the environment, and scaling up production, as presented in the review, suggest that several potential topics for future works are available to promote a safer and more efficient use of these nanoparticles. Studies on AgNPs in Malaysia have increased since the Malaysian government officially established a directorate for nanotechnology development. This calls for a proper set of policies on AgNPs starting from their production to utilization as well as their effects on various related industries and the environment.  相似文献

Bisindoles are structurally complex dimers and are intriguing targets for partial and total synthesis. They exhibit stronger biological activity than their corresponding monomeric units. Alkaloids, including those containing C-19 methyl-substitution in their monomeric units, their synthetic derivatives, and their mismatched pairs can be attractive targets for synthesis and may unlock better drug targets. We herein discuss the isolation of bisindoles from various Alstonia species, their bioactivity, putative biosynthesis, and synthesis. The total synthesis of macralstonidine, macralstonine, O-acetylmacralstonine, and dispegatrine, as well as the partial synthesis of alstonisidine, villalstonine, and macrocarpamine are also discussed in this review. The completion of the total synthesis of pleiocarpamine by Sato et al. completes the formal synthesis of the latter two bisindoles.  相似文献

C(sp3)? C‐bonded diamond nanowires are wide band gap semiconductors that exhibit a combination of superior properties such as negative electron affinity, chemical inertness, high Young’s modulus, the highest hardness, and room‐temperature thermal conductivity. The creation of 1D diamond nanowires with their giant surface‐to‐volume ratio enhancements makes it possible to control and enhance the fundamental properties of diamond. Although theoretical comparisons with carbon nanotubes have shown that diamond nanowires are energetically and mechanically viable structures, reproducibly synthesizing the crystalline diamond nanowires has remained challenging. We present a comprehensive, up‐to‐date review of diamond nanowires, including a discussion of their synthesis along with their structures, properties, and applications.  相似文献

We have regiospecifically generated the alpha,2-, alpha,3-, and alpha,4-dehydrophenoxide anions by collisional activation of o-, m-, and p-nitrobenzoate. The alpha,2 and alpha,4 isomers also were synthesized by reacting o-benzyne radical anion with carbon dioxide and electron ionization of p-diazophenol. All three dehydrophenol radical anions were differentiated from each other and identified by probing their chemical reactivity with several reagents. Each isomer was converted to phenoxide and its corresponding quinone as well. Thermochemical measurements were carried out on all three radical anions and their hydrogen-atom affinities, proton affinities, and electron binding energies are reported. These measured quantities are combined in thermodynamic cycles to derive the heats of formation of each of the radical anions and their corresponding carbenes (i.e., alpha,2-, alpha,3-, and alpha,4-dehydrophenol). These results are compared to MCQDPT2, G3, G2+(MP2), and B3LYP calculations and experimental data for appropriate reference compounds.  相似文献

Paecilomycine A (1), B (2), and C (3) were isolated from cultivated fruiting bodies of Paecilomyces tenuipes (Isaria japonica), which is a popular entomopathogenic fungus used in folk medicine and health foods in China, Korea, and Japan. The structures of 1-3 were deduced from their spectroscopic data and their absolute configurations were elucidated by preparing their MPA esters. Compound 1 showed activity in the neurotrophic factor biosynthesis in glial cells.  相似文献

This critical review will be of interest to the experts in porous solids (including catalysis), but also solid state chemists and physicists. It presents the state-of-the-art on hybrid porous solids, their advantages, their new routes of synthesis, the structural concepts useful for their 'design', aiming at reaching very large pores. Their dynamic properties and the possibility of predicting their structure are described. The large tunability of the pore size leads to unprecedented properties and applications. This review deals with inorganic, organometallic, and organic compounds, as well as with elements, that on the basis of their electronic structure and their reactions can be regarded formally as analogues of carbenes. These “carbene analogues” include in particular the compounds of monovalent boron, aluminum, nitrogen, and phosphorus; those of divalent silicon, germanium, tin, and lead; atomic oxygen; atomic sulfur; and atomic selenium. Ever since the first experimental evidence of the existence of endohedral metallofullerenes (EMFs) was obtained, the search for carbon cages with encapsulated metals and small molecules has become a very active field of research. EMFs exhibit unique electronic and structural features, with potential applications in many fields. Furthermore, functionalized EMFs offer additional potential applications because of their higher solubility and their ease of characterization by X‐ray crystallography and other techniques. Herein we review the general field of EMFs, particularly of functionalized EMFs. We also address their structures and their (electrochemical) properties, as well as applications of these fascinating compounds.  相似文献

Although acrylates and methacrylates are the state-of-the-art monomers for protective and decorative coatings, skin and inhalation irritancy and potential cytotoxicity of monomers present serious health hazards. Monomers like vinyl carbonates or vinyl carbamates can overcome these problems with their generally lower cytotoxicity and yet similar photoreactivity to (meth)acrylates. The reviewed classes of monomers have not attracted industry's attention until now due to expensive synthetic methods though recently developed affordable routes offer prospect for their increasing use (88 references).  相似文献

In this review, we attempt to give an overview on the recent progress made on biosurfactants, surface-active biomolecules produced by microorganisms, which are a sustainable alternative to synthetic surfactants. Different biosurfactants, their production techniques, and their physical and chemical properties are discussed. There is a focus on recent studies related to surface properties and rheology of biosurfactants, both being properties which affect their ability to take part in a stable formulation. Biosurfactants can have applications in multiple different industrial sectors, such as agriculture, medicine, personal care, food, petroleum, etc. The specific properties important for applications in these sectors are discussed in detail.  相似文献

The development of antimicrobial food packaging is needed for food preservation and quality maintenance. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have been widely used as an antimicrobial agent in food packaging technologies. However, the risks associated with their potential migration into foods are a major concern. This paper comprehensively reviews the use of AgNPs in food packaging technologies. The application of AgNPs in food packaging technologies has been regulated by the United States Food and Drug Administration and the European Food Safety Authority. The addition of AgNPs into food packaging can improve their barrier, mechanical, and antibacterial properties, as well as maintain the quality of foods. Migration of AgNPs from food packaging into foods is still a concern as it has implications for human health associated with their toxicity properties. A study on the toxicological properties of AgNPs released from food packaging needs to be carried out intensively to ensure their safety before being widely implemented. Moreover, comprehensive economic evaluation to implement AgNPs in food packaging is needed as such a study is missing in the literature.  相似文献

Self-healing polymer composites possess the inherent ability to heal the damage event autonomically or non-autonomically with external intervention. These advanced materials can be commercialized if the challenges and limitations of different self-healing mechanisms are well known and considered. These include capsule-based healing systems, vascular healing systems, and intrinsic healing systems. To date, most of the reviews have studied and reported on different self-healing mechanisms including their response to impact, fatigue, and corrosion tests. This review focuses mostly on extrinsic and intrinsic self-healing polymer composites which have been reported during the past five years by comparing their healing efficiency, advantages, and challenges in the prospect of their future development as well as their possible applications across various industries such as aerospace, automobile, coating, electronics, energy, etc.  相似文献

The simplest alkali metal acetylides MCCH were made in the gas phase for the first time (see drawing), and their bond lengths were determined by millimeter/submillimeter spectroscopy of their isotopomers. The M−C bond lengths rCM are the shortest known for organoalkali metal compounds. In the case of LiCCH, the experimentally determined Li−C distance of 1.888 Å has an estimated accuracy of ±0.0005 Å, which should allow a rigorous test of theoretical methods.  相似文献

In recent years, a variety of new designs of coronene-based polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) with diverse functions have emerged to serve as complementary materials in organic chemistry and materials chemistry. In the present review, we highlight the modern aspects of syntheses related to or different from the strategies used in the early era of coronene research. Systematic extension and expansion of coronene backbones to wide categories of angular PAHs are covered. The substitution and extension of coronene architectures, by incorporating functional groups and by fusing small and large conjugated units, advatangeously enrich their photophysical, electrochemical, self-assembling, and other properties, of which are discussed to demostrate their impact in materials chemistry. While the highly symmetric coronenes, tribenzocoronenes and hexabenzocoronenes conceived wide potential in charge-transporting, electroluminescent, sensing, and other applications, other related derivatives such as dibenzo, tetrabenzo and pentabenzocoronenes also displayed their potentials as exemplified by their use as charge-conduction channel in transistor application.  相似文献

Radialenes are alicyclic compounds in which every ring atom is sp2-hybridized and carries an exocyclic C? C double bond. Because of their unusual topology and electronic structures these hydrocarbons have aroused the interest of both preparative chemists and theoreticians. Although considerable progress has been achieved recently, directed and efficient syntheses of these molecules remain a challenge. The study of their chemical behavior offers vast opportunities.
