The external potential needed to produce an arbitrary equilibrium density profile for a one-dimensional lattice gas with nearest neighbor interactions is solved exactly. The resulting sequence of direct correlation functions is shown to be of short range, and in the ferromagnetic case the even members alternate in sign at zero spin. We use a method developed by van Hemmen to obtain the free energy of the mean-field Ising model in a random external magnetic field. Some results of previous mean-field calculations are confirmed and generalized. The tricritical point in the global phase diagram is discussed in detail. We also consider different probability distributions of the random fields and provide some proofs regarding the conditions for the existence of a tricritical point.  相似文献

Previous results relating the one-dimensional random field Ising model to a discrete stochastic mapping are generalized to a two-valued correlated random (Markovian) field and to the case of zero temperature. Dissipation and decoherence, interaction with the random media, continuous measurements and many other complicated problems of open quantum systems are a result of interaction of quantum system with the random environment. These problems mathematically are described in terms of complex probabilistic processes (CPP). Note that CPP satisfies the stochastic differential equation (SDE) of Langevin—Schrödinger(L—Sch)type, and is defined on the extended space R1 ? R{γ}, where R1 and R{γ} are the Euclidean and the functional spaces, correspondingly. For simplicity, the model of 1D quantum harmonic oscillator (QHO) with the stochastic environment is considered. On the basis of orthogonal CPP, the method of stochastic density matrix (SDM) is developed. By S DM method, the thermodynamical potentials, such as the nonequilibrium entropy and the energy of the “ground state” are constructed in a closed form. The expressions for uncertain relations and Wigner function depending on interaction’s constant between 1D QHO and the environment are obtained.  相似文献

We introduce a solvable quantum antiferromagnetic model. The model, with Ising spins in a transverse field, has infinite range antiferromagnetic interactions and random fields on each site following an arbitrary distribution. As is well-known, frustration in the random field Ising model gives rise to a many valley structure in the spin-configuration space. In addition, the antiferromagnetism also induces a regular frustration even for the ground state. In this paper, we investigate analytically the critical phenomena in the model, having both randomness and frustration and we report some analytical results for it.  相似文献

The lattice approximation to a time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equation is investigated in the presence of a small external field. The evolution law conserves the spin, but is not reversible. A nonlinear diffusion equation of divergence type is obtained in the hydrodynamic limit. The proof extends to certain stochastically perturbed Hamiltonian systems.  相似文献

We provide a quick elementary solution of the mean spherical model in a random external field. This also allows an immediate proof of the self-averaging property of the free energy. We calculate the free energy by means of the replica method, i.e., for any (not necessarily integer) replica numbern, and show that when a phase transition occurs the limits andn 0 are not interchangeable.  相似文献

A one-dimensional diagonal tight binding electronic system with dichotomic correlated disorder in the presence of external d.c field is investigated. It is found numerically that the conductance distribution obeys fairly well to log-normal distribution in weak disorder strength in localized regime, which indicates validity of single parameter scaling theory in this limit. Contrary to the universal cumulant relation C 1 = 2C 2 in the absence of d.c. field, we demonstrated numerically that C 1 ≫ 2C 2 in the presence of the field in localized regime. We interpret this result as suppression of the fluctuation effects by the external field. In addition, it is obtained that the quantity NF c , here N is the system size and F c is the crossover field, decreases as the as the system energy E increases. Moreover, we find numerically a simple linear relation between the average logarithm of the conductance 〈ln(g)〉 and the field strength as 〈ln(g)〉 = C(N, λ)F, here C(N, λ) is a constant for particular values of N and λ, which is the Poisson parameter of the dichotomic process.  相似文献

In this paper we study the quantization of the nonlinear oscillator introduced by Mathews and Lakshmanan. This system with position-dependent mass allows a natural quantization procedure and is shown to display shape invariance. Its energy spectrum is found by factorization. The linear harmonic oscillator appears as the λ → 0 limit of this nonlinear oscillator, whose energy spectrum and eigenfunctions are compared to the linear ones.  相似文献

A one-dimensional fluid model of the microwave electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) discharge, which includes the inhomogeneity effects of the external magnetic field, is developed. We use fluid equations which are obtained from the one-dimensional Bolzmann equation expressed in terms of magnetic moment and parallel velocity. We model the plasma and sheath separately, and appropriate plasma-sheath boundary conditions are utilized. Microwave is represented by an energy flow, and treated by a ray tracing technique. For the argon discharge, we obtain various quantities such as the axial profiles of plasma density, electron temperature, electrostatic potential, fluid velocity, and microwave power deposition. The results of simulation compare well with the experimental observation of the mirror field effects on the plasma parameters  相似文献

The model of the relativistic quantum particle in a homogeneous external field is proposed. This model is realized in the one-dimensional relativistic configurational x-space and is described by the finite-difference equation. The momentum p-space in our case is the one-dimensional Lobachevsky space. We have found the wave functions and propagator for the model under study in both x- and p-representations.  相似文献

We derive noncommutative multiparticle quantum mechanics from noncommutative quantum field theory in the nonrelativistic limit. Particles of opposite charges are found to have opposite noncommutativity. As a result, there is no noncommutative correction to the hydrogen atom spectrum at the tree level. We also comment on the obstacles to take noncommutative phenomenology seriously and propose a way to construct noncommutative SU(5) grand unified theory.  相似文献

We discuss a recently proposed extension of Bohmian mechanics to quantum field theory. For more or less any regularized quantum field theory there is a corresponding theory of particle motion, which, in particular, ascribes trajectories to the electrons or whatever sort of particles the quantum field theory is about. Corresponding to the nonconservation of the particle number operator in the quantum field theory, the theory describes explicit creation and annihilation events: the world lines for the particles can begin and end.  相似文献

The transverse random-field Ising model with a trimodal distribution is studied within mean-field and mean-field renormalization-group approaches. The phase diagram is obtained and all the transition lines are second order. An ordered phase persists for large random fields provided that the probability of the zero transverse field is greater than the site-percolation threshold.  相似文献

The thermodynamic equivalence of the large-n limit of then-vector model in a random external field and the corresponding disordered spherical model is proved. An analytic expression for the free energy and a phase diagram of the large-n limit of then-vector model with random uniaxial anisotropy are obtained by rigorous argument. The ferromagnetic order in the large-n limit is proved to be stable against the switching on of an arbitrarily small random anisotropy.  相似文献

We consider the equilibrium statistical mechanics of a classical one-dimensional simple fluid, with nearest-neighbor interactions, and in an arbitrary external potential. The external potential is eliminated to yield relations between the truncated partition functions and the one-body density. These relations are solved for pure cores and for sticky cores, resulting in each case in both an explicit potential density relation and grand potential density functional. We consider theP(φ)2 hamiltonian whose interaction density is given by $$\lambda P(\phi (x)) + \mu \phi (x)^k $$ wherek is odd and 1≦kP. For sufficiently large μ we show that there is a gap in the energy spectrum. In addition we obtain new regions of analyticity in λ and μ for the Schwinger functions and the pressure.  相似文献
