Triangulated categories and Kac-Moody algebras   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7
By using the Ringel-Hall algebra approach, we find a Lie algebra arising in each triangulated category with T 2=1, where T is the translation functor. In particular, the generic form of the Lie algebras determined by the root categories, the 2-period orbit categories of the derived categories of finite dimensional hereditary associative algebras, gives a realization of all symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebras. This paper is a continuation of the series of papers “Quantization of Lie bialgebras (QLB) I-V”. We show that the image of a Kac-Moody Lie bialgebra with the standard quasitriangular structure under the quantization functor defined in QLB-I,II is isomorphic to the Drinfeld-Jimbo quantization of this Lie bialgebra, with the standard quasitriangular structure. This implies that when the quantization parameter is formal, then the category O for the quantized Kac-Moody algebra is equivalent, as a braided tensor category, to the category O over the corresponding classical Kac-Moody algebra, with the tensor category structure defined by a Drinfeld associator. This equivalence is a generalization of the functor constructed previously by G. Lusztig and the second author. In particular, we answer positively a question of Drinfeld whether the characters of irreducible highest weight modules for quantized Kac-Moody algebras are the same as in the classical case. Moreover, our results are valid for the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}(A)$ corresponding to any symmetrizable matrix A (not necessarily with integer entries), which answers another question of Drinfeld. We also prove the Drinfeld-Kohno theorem for the algebra $\mathfrak{g}(A)$ (it was previously proved by Varchenko using integral formulas for solutions of the KZ equations).  相似文献

Henriques and Kamnitzer have defined a commutor for the category of crystals of a finite-dimensional complex reductive Lie algebra that gives it the structure of a coboundary category (somewhat analogous to a braided monoidal category). Kamnitzer and Tingley then gave an alternative definition of the crystal commutor, using Kashiwara's involution on Verma crystals, that generalizes to the setting of symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras. In the current paper, we give a geometric interpretation of the crystal commutor using quiver varieties. Equipped with this interpretation we show that the commutor endows the category of crystals of a symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebra with the structure of a coboundary category, answering in the affirmative a question of Kamnitzer and Tingley.  相似文献

Hom-Lie algebras can be considered as a deformation of Lie algebras. In this note, we prove that the hom-Lie algebra structures on finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras are trivial. We find when a finite-dimensional semi-simple Lie algebra admits non-trivial hom-Lie algebra structures and the isomorphic classes of non-trivial hom-Lie algebras are determined.  相似文献

We define an affine Jacquet functor and use it to describe the structure of induced affine Harish-Chandra modules at noncritical levels, extending the theorem of Kac and Kazhdan on the structure of Verma modules in the Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand categories O for Kac-Moody algebras. This is combined with a vanishing result for certain extension groups to construct a block decomposition of the categories of affine Harish-Chandra modules of Lian and Zuckerman. The latter provides an extension of the works of Rocha-Caridi and Wallach [A. Rocha-Caridi, N.R. Wallach, Projective modules over infinite dimensional graded Lie algebras, Math. Z. 180 (1982) 151-177] and Deodhar, Gabber and Kac [V. Deodhar, O. Gabber, V. Kac, Structure of some categories of representations of infinite-dimensional Lie algebras, Adv. Math. 45 (1982) 92-116] on block decompositions of BGG categories for Kac-Moody algebras. We also derive a compatibility relation between the affine Jacquet functor and the Kazhdan-Lusztig tensor product and apply it to prove that the affine Harish-Chandra category is stable under fusion tensoring with the Kazhdan-Lusztig category. This compatibility will be further applied in studying translation functors for the affine Harish-Chandra category, based on the fusion tensor product.  相似文献

We introduce a class of quantum integrable systems generalizing the Gaudin model. The corresponding algebras of quantum Hamiltonians are obtained as quotients of the center of the enveloping algebra of an affine Kac-Moody algebra at the critical level, extending the construction of higher Gaudin Hamiltonians from B. Feigin et al. (1994) [17] to the case of non-highest weight representations of affine algebras. We show that these algebras are isomorphic to algebras of functions on the spaces of opers on P1 with regular as well as irregular singularities at finitely many points. We construct eigenvectors of these Hamiltonians, using Wakimoto modules of critical level, and show that their spectra on finite-dimensional representations are given by opers with trivial monodromy. We also comment on the connection between the generalized Gaudin models and the geometric Langlands correspondence with ramification.  相似文献

We construct Lie algebras of vector fields on universal bundles of symmetric squares of hyperelliptic curves of genus g = 1, 2,.. For each of these Lie algebras, the Lie subalgebra of vertical fields has commuting generators, while the generators of the Lie subalgebra of projectable fields determines the canonical representation of the Lie subalgebra with generators L 2q , q = ?1, 0, 1, 2,.., of the Witt algebra. As an application, we obtain integrable polynomial dynamical systems.  相似文献

For any n 3, let R(n) denote the root category of finite-dimensional nilpotent representations of cyclic quiver with n vertices. In the present paper, we prove that R(n-1) is triangle-equivalent to the subcategory of fixed points of certain left (or right) mutation in R(n). As an application, it is shown that the affine Kac-Moody algebra of type n-2 is isomorphic to a Lie subalgebra of the Kac-Moody algebra of type n-1.  相似文献

Invariant Lie Algebras and Lie Algebras with a Small Centroid   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A subalgebra of a Lie algebra is said to be invariant if it is invariant under the action of some Cartan subalgebra of that algebra. A known theorem of Melville says that a nilpotent invariant subalgebra of a finite-dimensional semisimple complex Lie algebra has a small centroid. The notion of a Lie algebra with small centroid extends to a class of all finite-dimensional algebras. For finite-dimensional algebras of zero characteristic with semisimple derivations in a sufficiently broad class, their centroid is proved small. As a consequence, it turns out that every invariant subalgebra of a finite-dimensional reductive Lie algebra over an arbitrary definition field of zero characteristic has a small centroid.  相似文献

For each even lattice \({\mathcal L}\), there is a canonical way to construct an infinite-dimensional Lie algebra via lattice vertex operator algebra theory, we call this Lie algebra and its subalgebras the Borcherds type Lie algebras associated to \({\mathcal L}\). In this paper, we apply this construction to even lattices arising from representation theory of finite-dimensional associative algebras. This is motivated by the different realizations of Kac-Moody algebras by Borcherds using lattice vertex operators and by Peng-Xiao using Ringel-Hall algebras respectively. For any finite-dimensional algebra \(A\) of finite global dimension, we associate a Borcherds type Lie algebra \(\mathfrak {BL}(A)\) to \(A\). In contrast to the Ringel-Hall Lie algebra approach, \(\mathfrak {BL}(A)\) only depends on the symmetric Euler form or Tits form but not the full representation theory of \(A\). However, our results show that for certain classes of finite-dimensional algebras whose representation theory is ’controlled’ by the Euler bilinear forms or Tits forms, their Borcherds type Lie algebras do have close relations with the representation theory of these algebras. Beyond the class of hereditary algebras, these algebras include canonical algebras, representation-directed algebras and incidence algebras of finite prinjective types.  相似文献

Inspired by recent activities on Whittaker modules over various (Lie) algebras, we describe a general framework for the study of Lie algebra modules locally finite over a subalgebra. As a special case, we obtain a very general set-up for the study of Whittaker modules, which includes, in particular, Lie algebras with triangular decomposition and simple Lie algebras of Cartan type. We describe some basic properties of Whittaker modules, including a block decomposition of the category of Whittaker modules and certain properties of simple Whittaker modules under some rather mild assumptions. We establish a connection between our general set-up and the general set-up of Harish-Chandra subalgebras in the sense of Drozd, Futorny and Ovsienko. For Lie algebras with triangular decomposition, we construct a family of simple Whittaker modules (roughly depending on the choice of a pair of weights in the dual of the Cartan subalgebra), describe their annihilators, and formulate several classification conjectures. In particular, we construct some new simple Whittaker modules for the Virasoro algebra. Finally, we construct a series of simple Whittaker modules for the Lie algebra of derivations of the polynomial algebra, and consider several finite-dimensional examples, where we study the category of Whittaker modules over solvable Lie algebras and their relation to Koszul algebras.  相似文献

We consider two classes of integrable nonlinear hyperbolic systems on Lie algebras. These systems generalize the principal chiral model. Each system is related to a pair of compatible Lie brackets and has a Lax representation, which is determined by the direct sum decomposition of the Lie algebra of Laurent series into the subalgebra of Taylor series and the complementary subalgebra corresponding to the pair. New examples of compatible Lie brackets are given.  相似文献

We study the embedding construction of Lie dialgebras (Leibniz algebras) into conformal algebras. This construction leads to the concept of a conformal representation of Leibniz algebras. We prove that each (finite-dimensional) Leibniz algebra possesses a faithful linear representation (of finite type). As a corollary we give a new proof of the Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt theorem for Leibniz algebras.  相似文献

We establish a correspondence (or duality) between the characters and the crystal bases of finite-dimensional representations of quantum groups associated to Langlands dual semi-simple Lie algebras. This duality may also be stated purely in terms of semi-simple Lie algebras. To explain this duality, we introduce an “interpolating quantum group” depending on two parameters which interpolates between a quantum group and its Langlands dual. We construct examples of its representations, depending on two parameters, which interpolate between representations of two Langlands dual quantum groups.  相似文献

We construct irreducible modules of centrally-extended classical Lie algebras over left ideals of the algebra of differential operators on the circle, through certain irreducible modules of centrally-extended classical Lie algebras of infinite matrices with finite number of nonzero entries. The structures of vertex algebras associated with the vacuum representations of these algebras are determined. Moreover, we prove that under certain conditions, the highest-weight irreducible modules of centrally-extended classical Lie algebras of infinite matrices with finite number of nonzero entries naturally give rise to the irreducible modules of the simple quotients of these vertex algebras. From vertex algebra and its representation point of view, our results with positive integral central charge are high-order differential operator analogues of the well-known WZW models in conformal field theory associated with affine Kac-Moody algebras. Indeed, when the left ideals are the algebra of differential operators, our Lie algebras do contain affine Kac-Moody algebras as subalgebras and our results restricted on them are exactly the representation contents in WZW models. Similar results with negative central charge are also obtained.  相似文献

Each integrable lowest weight representation of a symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebra \(\mathfrak{g}\) has a crystal in the sense of Kashiwara, which describes its combinatorial properties. For a given \(\mathfrak{g}\) , there is a limit crystal, usually denoted by B(?∞), which contains all the other crystals. When \(\mathfrak{g}\) is finite dimensional, a convex polytope, called the Mirkovi?-Vilonen polytope, can be associated to each element in B(?∞). This polytope sits in the dual space of a Cartan subalgebra of \(\mathfrak{g}\) , and its edges are parallel to the roots of \(\mathfrak{g}\) . In this paper, we generalize this construction to the case where \(\mathfrak{g}\) is a symmetric affine Kac-Moody algebra. The datum of the polytope must however be complemented by partitions attached to the edges parallel to the imaginary root δ. We prove that these decorated polytopes are characterized by conditions on their normal fans and on their 2-faces. In addition, we discuss how our polytopes provide an analog of the notion of Lusztig datum for affine Kac-Moody algebras. Our main tool is an algebro-geometric model for B(?∞) constructed by Lusztig and by Kashiwara and Saito, based on representations of the completed preprojective algebra Λ of the same type as  \(\mathfrak{g}\) . The underlying polytopes in our construction are described with the help of Buan, Iyama, Reiten and Scott’s tilting theory for the category \(\Lambda \text {\upshape -}\mathrm {mod}\) . The partitions we need come from studying the category of semistable Λ-modules of dimension-vector a multiple of δ.  相似文献

We study representations of the Loop Kac-Moody Lie algebra 𝔤 ?A, where 𝔤 is any Kac-Moody algebra and A is a ring of Laurent polynomials in n commuting variables. In particular, we study representations with finite dimensional weight spaces and their graded versions. When we specialize 𝔤 to be a finite dimensional or affine Lie algebra we obtain modules for toroidal Lie algebras.  相似文献

In this article we give a new technique for exponentiating infinite dimensional graded representations of graded Lie algebras that allows for the exponentiation of some non-locally nilpotent elements. Our technique is to naturally extend the representation of the Lie algebra g on the space V naturally to a representation on a subspace £ of the dual space V *. After introducing the technique, we prove that it enables the exponentiation of all elements of free Lie Algebras and afhne Kac-Moody Lie algebras.  相似文献

In Sen??s theory in the imperfect residue field case, Brinon defined a functor from the category of ${{\mathbb C}_p}$ -representations to the category of linear representations of a certain Lie algebra. We give a comparison theorem between the continuous Galois cohomology of ${{\mathbb C}_p}$ -representations and the Lie algebra cohomology of the associated representations. The key ingredients of the proof are Hyodo??s calculation of Galois cohomology and the effaceability of Lie algebra cohomology for solvable Lie algebras.  相似文献

We study finite-dimensional representations of current algebras, loop algebras and their quantized versions. For the current algebra of a simple Lie algebra of type ADE, we show that Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules and Weyl modules are in fact all Demazure modules. As a consequence one obtains an elementary proof of the dimension formula for Weyl modules for the current and the loop algebra. Further, we show that the crystals of the Weyl and the Demazure module are the same up to some additional label zero arrows for the Weyl module. For the current algebra Cg of an arbitrary simple Lie algebra, the fusion product of Demazure modules of the same level turns out to be again a Demazure module. As an application we construct the Cg-module structure of the Kac-Moody algebra -module V(?Λ0) as a semi-infinite fusion product of finite-dimensional Cg-modules.  相似文献
