Isobaric vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) for the system methyltrichlorosilane–dimethyldichlorosilane–benzene and that of the three binary systems were measured with a new pump-ebulliometer at the pressure of 101.325 kPa. These binary compositions of the equilibrium vapor were calculated according to the Q function of molar excess Gibbs energy by the indirect method and the resulted VLE data agreed well with the thermodynamic consistency. Moreover, the experimental data were correlated with the Wilson, NRTL, Margules and van Laar equations by means of the least-squares fit, the acquired optimal interaction parameters were fitted to experimental vapor–liquid equilibrium data for binary systems. The binary parameters of Wilson equation were also used to calculate the bubble point temperature and the vapor phase composition for the ternary mixtures without any additional adjustment. The predicted vapor–liquid equilibrium for the ternary system accorded well with the experimental results. The separation factor of methyltrichlorosilane against dimethyldichlorosilane in benzene was also reported. The VLE of binary and multilateral systems provided essential theory for the production of the halogenated silane.  相似文献

The liquid–liquid equilibrium of water/1-propanol/methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) at 25°C was significantly modified by the presence of dissolved potassium chloride. Water is salted out of the organic phase while MEK is more preferentially salted out of the aqueous phase than 1-propanol. These results in considerable enlargement of the two-phase region and enhancement of the extractive efficiency of MEK for the separation of 1-propanol from its aqueous mixture. Good correlation of the liquid–liquid equilibria (LLE) of the system in the presence of potassium chloride up to saturation was obtained with Tan’s modified NRTL phase model for multicomponent solute–solvent mixtures with the solute–solvent interaction parameters expressed as a third-order polynomial function in salt concentration. Similar to the observation reported for vapour–liquid equilibrium (VLE) of solvent–solute mixtures, salting-in and salting-out of the solvent components from the respective phases can be predicted according to the relative solute–solvent interaction parameters of the solvent components in the two phases.  相似文献

The Perturbed-Chain SAFT (PC-SAFT) equation of state is applied to pure polar substances as well as to vapor–liquid and liquid–liquid equilibria of binary mixtures containing polar low-molecular substances and polar co-polymers. For these components, the polar version of the PC-SAFT model requires four pure-component parameters as well as the functional-group dipole moment. For each binary system, only one temperature-independent binary interaction kij is needed. Simple mixing and combining rules are adopted for mixtures with more than one polar component without using an additional binary interaction parameter. The ability of the model to accurately describe azeotropic and non-azeotropic vapor–liquid equilibria at low and at high pressures, as well as liquid–liquid equilibria is demonstrated for various systems containing polar components. Solvent systems like acetone–alkane mixtures and co-polymer systems like poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate)/solvent are discussed. The results for the low-molecular systems also show the predictive capabilities of the extended PC-SAFT model.  相似文献

Vapor–liquid equilibria were measured at 101.3 kPa, in a range of temperatures from 350.28 to 374.69 K, for five binary mixtures formed by nitromethane with ethyl acetate, propyl acetate, isopropyl acetate, methyl propionate, and ethyl propionate. Calculations of nonideality of the vapor phase were made with Soave–Redlich–Kwong equation of state. Thermodynamic consistency of data was tested via Herington analysis. Two systems show minimum boiling azeotropes. The experimental VLE data were reduced and binary parameters for four liquid models, such as van Laar, Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC, were fitted. A comparison of model performances was made by using the criterion of average absolute deviations in boiling point and in vapor-phase composition.  相似文献

Isothermal vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data for diethylamine(1)+acetone(2) and diethylamine(1)+acetonitrile(2) binary systems were obtained at 323.15 K by dynamic method. Excess molar volumes at 298.15 K for these systems were measured by a dilution dilatometer. VLE data have been checked for thermodynamic consistency and correlated by Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC equations. UNIFAC group interaction parameters for CH2NH---CH3CO and CH2NH---CH3CN pairs are also obtained from the experimental VLE data.  相似文献

Isothermal vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data at 353.15 K and excess molar volumes (VE) at 298.15 K are reported for the binary systems of ethyl acetate (EA)+cyclohexane and EA+n-hexane and also for the ternary systems of EA+cyclohexane+2-methyl pyrazine (2MP) and EA+n-hexane+2MP. The experimental binary VLE data were correlated with common gE model equations. The correlated Wilson parameters of the constituent binary systems were used to calculate the phase behavior of the ternary mixtures. The calculated ternary VLE data using Wilson parameters were compared with experimental ternary data. The experimental excess molar volumes were correlated with the Redlich–Kister equation for the binary mixtures, and Cibulka’s equation for the ternary mixtures.  相似文献

We propose a new Helmholtz energy of mixing equation following the original Flory–Huggins (F–H) closed-packed lattice model. Also, to overcome F–H mean-field approximation, we introduce new universal constants to consider chain length dependence of polymer in solvent and consider specific interactions to describe strongly interacting polymer systems. Our proposed model successfully describes liquid–liquid equilibria (LLE) for binary polymer–solvent systems using identical interaction parameters which do not depend on the polymer molecular weight. We also describe vapor–liquid equilibria (VLE) for polymer/solvent systems and swelling equilibria of thermosensitive hydrogel systems using the same energy parameters obtained from LLE calculations.  相似文献

This paper provides vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data obtained for two binary systems of pentafluoroethane (R125)+propane (R290) and difluoromethane (R32)+R290 over a temperature range from 253.15 to 323.15 K. The measurement of VLE was performed at isothermal conditions in a vapor recirculation apparatus. Both systems form azeotropes in the temperature range of this study. The experimental results were well correlated with the Peng–Robinson equation of state (PR EoS) using one parameter van der Waals one fluid model. The binary interaction parameters were optimized using the experimental data of bubble point pressure. A comparison with published experimental VLE data has been carried out by means of the PR equation of state.

Solubility measurements of sulfur compounds in supercritical fluids are required in order to determine the feasibility of supercritical extraction for removing them from gasoline and diesel fuel. In this work, solubility of thiophene in CO2 and in CO2 + 1-propanol mixtures were measured from 313 to 363 K using an apparatus based on the static–analytical method. Vapor–liquid equilibria (VLE) data of binary mixtures were fitted to the Peng–Robinson equation of state (EoS) with classical mixing rules. The binary interaction parameters (kij) obtained were used to predict the VLE data of ternary systems. The calculated values given by this simple model agree well to the experimental data.  相似文献

Consistent vapor–liquid equilibria (VLE) data were determined for the binary systems 1-hexene + n-hexane and cyclohexane + cyclohexene at 30, 60 and 101.3 kPa, with the purpose of studying the influence of the pressure in the separation of these binary mixtures. The two systems show a small positive deviation from ideality and do not present an azeotrope. VLE data for the binary systems have been correlated by the Wilson, UNIQUAC and NRTL equations with good results and have been predicted by the UNIFAC group contribution method.  相似文献

The vapor–liquid phase equilibrium (VLE) data for binary systems of neohexane?+?cyclopentane, neohexane?+?N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), cyclopentane?+?DMF and ternary system of neohexane?+?cyclopentane?+?DMF were determined with a modified Rose still at 101.3 kPa, and all the binary data passed the Wisniak’s test (D?<?5), which accorded with the thermodynamic consistency. Three activity coefficient models namely, Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC were used to correlate VLE data and get binary interaction parameters, then the ternary VLE data of neohexane?+?cyclopentane?+?DMF were estimated based on these model parameters using Aspen Plus software. The estimation values of the three models agree well with the experimental data (σ(T)?<?0.5 K). Moreover, the analysis of the effect of DMF on the vapor–liquid phase equilibrium shows that DMF can act as an effective extractant for the system studied.

Experimental vapour–liquid equilibria of water–ethanol–2-propanol saturated with NaNO3, NaCl, KCl and containing 0.05 mol CH3COOK/mol total solvent compared well with those predicted by Tan–Wilson and Tan–non-random two liquid (NRTL) models for multicomponent solvent–solute mixture using a set of solvent–solvent interaction parameters obtained from the regression of the vapour–liquid equilibrium of the solvent mixture without the dissolved solute and a set of solute–solvent interaction parameters calculated from the bubble points of the individual solvent components saturated or containing the same molar ratio of solute/total solvents as the mixture. The results also showed that a solvent component i is salted-in or out of the liquid phase relatively more than solvent component j would depend on whether Asj/Asi (Tan–Wilson model) or exp(τisτjs) (Tan–NRTL model) is less or greater than 1. This is consistent with earlier publications on the effect of dissolved solutes (electrolytes and non-electrolytes) on the binary solvents mixtures. These findings confirmed that Tan–Wilson and Tan–NRTL models for multicomponent solvent–solute system can provide an accurate and rapid screening of electrolytes and non-electrolytes for their suitability in facilitating solvent separation by salt distillation of ternary solvent mixtures simply by determining the relative ratios of the solute–solvent interaction parameters from the respective bubble points of the solvent components containing the dissolved solute. The results also suggest that this may also be extended to other multicomponent solvent mixtures.  相似文献

In this paper the results of the vapor–liquid equilibria study at 100 kPa are presented for two binary systems: α-phenylethylamine(1) + toluene (2) and (α-phenylethylamine(1) + cyclohexane(2)). The binary VLE data of the two systems were correlated by the Wilson, NRTL, and UNIQUAC models. For each binary system the deviations between the results of the correlations and the experimental data have been calculated. For the both binary systems the average relative deviations in temperature for the three models were lower than 0.99%. The average absolute deviations in vapour phase composition (mole fractions) and in temperature T were lower than 0.0271 and 1.93 K, respectively. Thermodynamic consistency has been tested for all vapor-liquid equilibrium data by the Herrington method. The values calculated by Wilson and NRTL equations satisfied the thermodynamics consistency test for the both two systems, while the values calculated by UNIQUAC equation didn’t.  相似文献

Consistent vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data at 101.3 kPa have been determined for the ternary system isobutyl alcohol (IBA) + isobutyl acetate (IBAc) + 1-hexanol and two constituent binary systems: IBA + 1-hexanol and IBAc + 1-hexanol. The IBA + 1-hexanol system exhibits no deviation from ideal behaviour and IBAc + 1-hexanol system show lightly positive deviation from Raoult's law. The activity coefficients of the solutions were correlated with its composition by the Wilson, NRTL, UNIQUAC models. The ternary system is well predicted from binary interaction parameters. 1-Hexanol eliminates the IBA–IBAc binary azeotrope. However, the change of phase equilibria behaviour is small therefore this solvent is not an effective agent for that azeotrope mixture separation. In fact, the mean relative volatility on a solvent free basis is 1.28 (close to unity).  相似文献

Isothermal vapour–liquid equilibria (VLE), solid–liquid equilibria and excess enthalpies have been measured for the systems cyclohexanone + cyclohexanol and 2-octanone + 1-hexanol. Additionally in this paper binary azeotropic data at different pressures for 1-pentanol + 2-heptanone and 1-hexanol + 2-octanone have been determined with the help of a wire band column. Furthermore activity coefficients at infinite dilution for methanol, ethanol, 1-butanol and 1-propanol in 2-octanone at different temperatures have been measured with the help of the dilutor technique. These data together with literature data for alcohol–ketone systems were used to fit temperature-dependent group interaction parameters for the group contribution method modified UNIFAC (Dortmund) and the group contribution equation of state VTPR.  相似文献

Consistent vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data at 101.3 kPa have been determined for the ternary system isobutyl alcohol (IBA) + isobutyl acetate (IBAc) + butyl propionate (BUP) and two constituent binary systems: IBA + BUP and IBAc + BUP. The IBA + BUP system show lightly positive deviation from Raoult's law and IBAc + BUP system exhibits no deviation from ideal behaviour. The activity coefficients of the solutions were correlated with its composition by the Wilson, NRTL, UNIQUAC models. The ternary system is very well predicted from binary interaction parameters. BUP eliminates the IBA–IBAc binary azeotrope. The change of phase equilibria behaviour is significant therefore this solvent seems to be an effective agent for that azeotrope mixture separation. In fact, the mean relative volatility on a solvent free basis is 1.8.The binary VLE data measured in the present study passed the thermodynamic consistency test of Fredenslund et al. [A. Fredenslund, J. Gmehling, P. Rasmussen, Vapor–Liquid Equilibria Using UNIFAC, A Group Contribution Method, Elsevier, Amsterdam, 1977], and were correlated by the Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC models to relate activity coefficients with mole fractions. The VLE data obtained for the ternary system passed both the Wisniak LW [J. Wisniak, Ind. Eng. Chem. Res. 32 (1993) 1531–1533] and McDermott–Ellis [C. McDermott, S.R. Ellis, Chem. Eng. Sci. 20 (1965) 293–296] consistency test. The parameters obtained from binary data were utilized directly to predict the phase behaviour of the ternary system. The results showed an excellent agreement with experimental values.  相似文献

In the present work, a group contribution method is proposed for the estimation of the vapor pressure of fatty compounds. For the major components involved in the vegetable oil industry, such as fatty acids, esters and alcohols, triacylglycerols (TAGs) and partial acylglycerols, the optimized parameters are reported. The method is shown to be accurate when it is used together with the UNIFAC model for estimating vapor–liquid equilibria (VLE) of binary and multicomponent fatty mixtures comprised in industrial processes such as stripping of hexane, deodorization and physical refining. The results achieved show that the group contribution approach is a valuable tool for the design of distillation and stripping units since it permits to take into account all the complexity of the mixtures involved. This is particularly important for the evaluation of the loss of distillative neutral oil that occurs during the processing of edible oils. The combination of the vapor pressure model suggested in the present work with the UNIFAC equation gives results similar to those already reported in the literature for fatty acid mixtures and oil–hexane mixtures. However, it is a better tool for predicting vapor–liquid equilibria of a large range of fatty systems, also involving unsaturated compounds, fatty esters and acylglycerols, not contemplated by other methodologies. The approach suggested in this work generates more realistic results concerning vapor–liquid equilibria of systems encountered in the edible oil industry.  相似文献

Isobaric vapor–liquid equilibria (VLE) have been obtained for the systems trichloroethylene+1-pentanol, trichloroethylene+2-methyl-1-butanol and trichloroethylene+3-methyl-1-butanol at 100 kPa using a dynamic still. The experimental error in temperature is ±0.1 K, in pressure ±0.1 kPa, and in the liquid and vapor mole fraction ±0.001. The three systems satisfy the point-to-point thermodynamic consistency test. All the systems show positive deviations from ideality. The data have been correlated with the Margules, van Laar, Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC equations.  相似文献
