The loss of methyl from unstable, metastable and collisionally activated [CH2?CH? C(OH)?CH2]+˙ ions (1+˙) was examined by means of deuterium and 13C labelling, appearance energy measurements and product identification. High-energy, short-lived 1+˙ lose methyl groups incorporating the original enolic methene (C(1)) and the hydroxyl hydrogen atom (H(0)). The eliminations of C(1)H(1)H(1)H(4) and C(4)H(4)H(4)H(0) are less frequent in high-energy ions. Metastable 1+˙ eliminate mainly C(1)H(1)H(1)H(4), the elimination being accompanied by incomplete randomization of the five carbon-bound hydrogen atoms. The resulting [C3H3O]+ ions have been identified as the most stable CH2?CH? CO+ species. The appearance energy for the loss of methyl from 1 was measured as AE[C3H3O]+ = 10.47 ± 0.05 eV. The critical energy for 1+˙ → [C3H3O]+ + CH3˙ is assessed as Ec ? 173 kJ mol?1. Reaction mechanisms are proposed and discussed.  相似文献

Tertiary α-carbomethoxy-α,α-dimethyl-methyl cations a have been generated by electron impact induced fragmentation from the appropriately α-substituted methyl isobutyrates 1–4. The destabilized carbenium ions a can be distinguished from their more stable isomers protonated methyl methacrylate c and protonated methyl crotonate d by MIKE and CA spectra. The loss of I and Br˙ from the molecular ions of 1 and 2, respectively, predominantly gives rise to the destabilized ions a, whereas loss of Cl˙ from [3]+ ˙ results in a mixture of ions a and c. The loss of CH3˙ from [4]+˙ favours skeletal rearrangement leading to ions d. The characteristic reactions of the destabilized ions a are the loss of CO and elimination of methanol. The loss of CO is associated by a very large KER and non-statistical kinetic energy release (T50 = 920 meV). Specific deuterium labelling experiments indicate that the α-carbomethoxy-α,α-dimethyl-methyl cations a rearrange via a 1,4-H shift into the carbonyl protonated methyl methacrylate c and eventually into the alkyl-O protonated methyl methacrylate before the loss of methanol. The hydrogen rearrangements exhibit a deuterium isotope effect indicating substantial energy barriers between the [C5H9O2]+ isomers. Thus the destabilized carbenium ion a exists as a kinetically stable species within a potential energy well.  相似文献

The ion-molecule reactions between [CH3X]+˙ [CH3XH] +, [CH3XCH3]+ ions (X = F, Cl, Br, I) and a number of nucleophiles have been studied by ion cyclotron resonance techniques. Protonation of the nucleophiles is observed to occur from both the molecular ions [CH3]X+˙ and protonated species [CH3XH]+ whereas dimethylhalonium ions [CH3XCH3]+ react principally by methyl cation transfer. A notable exception occurs in methyl iodide where the molecular ions [CH3I]+˙ act both as proton and methyl cation donors, whereas dimethyliodonium ions are found unreactive. The results are discussed with reference to the use of alkyl halides as reagent gases in chemical ionization experiments.  相似文献

By combining results from a variety of mass spectrometric techniques (metastatle ion, collisional activation, collision-induced dissociative ionization, neutralization–reionization spectrometry and appearance energy measurements) and the classical method of isotopic labelling, a unified mechanism is proposed for the complex unimolecular chemistry of ionized 1,2-propanediol. The key intermediates involved are the stable hydrogen-bridged radical cations [CH2?C(H)? H…?O…?O(H)CH3]+˙, which were generated independently from [4-methoxy, 1-butanol]+˙ (loss of C2H4) and [1-methoxyglycerol]+˙ (loss of CH2O), [CH3? C?O…?H…?O(H)CH3]+˙ and the related ion-dipole complex [CH2?C(OH)CH3/H2O]+˙. The latter species serves as the precursor for the loss of CH3˙ and in this reaction the same non-ergodic behaviour is observed as in the loss of CH3˙ from the ionized enol of acetone.  相似文献

The proposed formation of [CH3C(OH)OCH2]+˙ (b) as the intermediate in the isomerization [CH2?C(OH)OCH3]+˙ (c)?b?[CH3COOCH3]+˙ (c has been confirmed by preparation of b from CH3COOCH2OCH3. For the three isomers a–c the dominant metastable ion (MI) dissociation, CH3O˙ loss, involves identical kinetic energy release values. The kinetic barriers for a?b and b?c must be nearly as high as that for CH3O˙ loss from c, as shown by the insensitivity of the mass spectra from collisionally activated dissociation (CAD) of a–c to ionizing electron energy. The H/D scrambling of metastable [CH2?C(OD)OCH3]+˙ and c–D3 ions confirm this, indicating that the barrier for a?b is slightly below that for b?c. Minor low-energy dissociations include losses of CH4 and CH3OH from a and losses of ˙CHO and CH2O from b. Comparison of MI and CAD spectra of a–c with those from [CH3(OH)CH2O]+˙ (d) and [CH3COCH2OH]+˙ (e) give no evidence for skeletal rearrangement of a–c to d or e.  相似文献

Three new [C2H6O]+˙ ions have been generated in the gas phase by appropriate dissociative ionizations and characterized by means of their metastable and collisionally induced fragmentations. The heats of formation, ΔHf0, of the two ions which were assigned the structures [CH3O(H)CH2]+˙ and [CH3CHOH2]+˙ could not be measured. The third isomer, to which the structure \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ {\rm CH}_{\rm 2} = \mathop {\rm C}\limits^{\rm .} {\rm H} \cdot \cdot \cdot \mathop {\rm H}\limits^ + \cdot \cdot \cdot {\rm OH}_{\rm 2} $\end{document} is tentatively assigned, was measured to have ΔHf0 = 732±5 kJ mol?1, making it the [C2H6O]+˙ isomer of lowest experimental heat of formation. It was found that the exothermic ion–radical recombinations [CH2OH]++CH3˙→[CH3O(H)CH2]+˙ and \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ {\rm CH}_{\rm 3} \mathop {\rm C}\limits^{\rm + } {\rm HOH + H}^{\rm .} $\end{document}→[CH3CHOH2]+˙ have large energy barriers, 1.4 and ?0.9 eV, respectively, whereas the recombinations yielding [CH3CH2OH]+˙ have little or none.  相似文献

A series of novel zirconium complexes {R2Cp[2‐R1‐6‐(2‐CH3OC6H4N?CH)C6H3O]ZrCl2 ( 1 , R1 = H, R2 = H, 2 : R1 = CH3, R2 = H; 3 , R1 = tBu, R2 = H; 4 , R1 = H, R2 = CH3; 5 , R1 = H, R2 = n‐Bu)} bearing mono‐Cp and tridentate Schiff base [ONO] ligands are prepared by the reaction of corresponding lithium salt of Schiff base ligands with R2CpZrCl3·DME. All complexes were well characterized by 1H NMR, MS, IR and elemental analysis. The molecular structure of complex 1 was further confirmed by X‐ray diffraction study, where the bond angle of Cl? Zr? Cl is extremely wide [151.71(3)°]. A nine‐membered zirconoxacycle complex Cp(O? 2? C6H4N?CHC6H4‐2? O)ZrCl2 ( 6 ) can be obtained by an intramolecular elimination of CH3Cl from complex 1 or by the reaction of CpZrCl3·DME with dilithium salt of ligand. When activated by excess methylaluminoxane (MAO), complexes 1–6 exhibit high catalytic activities for ethylene polymerization. The influence of polymerization temperature on the activities of ethylene polymerization is investigated, and these complexes show high thermal stability. Complex 6 is also active for the copolymerization of ethylene and 1‐hexene with low 1‐hexene incorporation ability (1.10%). Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The major mass spectrometric fragments of ms-tetraphenylporphin and ms-tetra(p-chloro)phenylporphin are [M ? H]+˙ and [M ? Cl]+˙, respectively. Metal derivatives of these compounds give a modified characteristic fragmentation pattern with peak groups ending in the ions [M ? 4H]+˙, [M ? ? ? 5H]+˙ and [M ? 2? ? 2H]+˙ for the metallo ms-tetraphenylporphins, and [M ? ?Cl ? 2Cl ? 3H]+˙ and [M ? 2?Cl ? Cl ? H]+˙ for Mgms-tetra(p-chloro)phenylporphin. Deuterated metal derivatives indicate random hydrogen loss from both phenyl and pyrrole carbons. However, metal substituents do not significantly modify the fragmentation pattern in the case of ms-tetra(p-methoxy)phenylporphin. These patterns can be explained in terms of aromatic stabilization of the fragmentation products, coupled with charge localization on the π system in the free base, on the metal atom in the metallo derivatives and on the methoxy function in the p-methoxyphenyl derivative.  相似文献

Reaction of Trimethylsilylethers of Unsaturated Alcohols with Schwartz Reagent – Stabilisation of Cyclic Zirconiumorganic Compounds by the Moiety Cp2ZrH2 Besides the normal product of hydrozirconation the reaction of allyltrimethylsilylethers CH2? CHC(R1R2)OSi(CH3)3 ( I : R1 = R2 = H, VIII : R1 = R2 = CH3, X : R1 = H, R2 = CH3) with Cp2Zr(H)Cl yields, as a result of a hydrogenation of the Si? O bond, trimethylsilane and a series of compounds with a Zr? O bond. Depending on the substitution of the α-C atom either dimeric chelates ( III ) or binuclear complexes of the type Cp2Zr(Cl)CH2CH2C(R1R2)OZr(Cl)Cp2 ( IX : R1 = R2 = CH3; XII : R1 = H, R2 = CH3) are formed. Starting with X and excess Cp2Zr(H)Cl the binuclear compound XIII is obtained which may be considered as an adduct of Cp2ZrH2 to the unsaturated chelate Compound XVII with a structure analogous to XIII is synthesized by the reaction of IX with Cp2ZrH2. The 1H-NMR spectrum is in accordance with the existence of cis-trans-isomers of this complex.  相似文献

It is shown from a detailed examination of first field free region metastable peak shapes that the molecular ion of the methyl ester of acrylic acid rearranges into 2- and 3-butenoic acid ions prior to metastable fragmentations involving the losses of H2O, CH3˙ and CO. The key intermediate ion in this ester-acid isomerization is shown to be the enol form of ionized γ-butyrolactone. The C-5 homologues methylmethacrylate and ethylacrylate display a similar mechanism for H2O loss, but the loss of CH3˙ shows additional mechanistic complexities. It was shown from the metastable peak shapes of 13C and deuterium labelled compounds that the larger part of the methyl loss does not occur from acid type ions, but directly from methyl substituted enol ions of γ-butyrolactone. The mechanistic proposals also account for the presence of a pronounced loss of CH3˙ from the isomeric ester methylcrotonate and the absence of H2O loss in both methylcrotonate and the methyl ester of 3-butenoic acid.  相似文献

Four pairs of positional isomers of ureidopeptides, FmocNH‐CH(R1)‐φ(NH‐CO‐NH)‐CH(R2)‐OY and FmocNH‐CH(R2)‐φ(NH‐CO‐NH)‐CH(R1)‐OY (Fmoc = [(9‐fluorenyl methyl)oxy]carbonyl; R1 = H, alkyl; R2 = alkyl, H and Y = CH3/H), have been characterized and differentiated by both positive and negative ion electrospray ionization (ESI) ion‐trap tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS). The major fragmentation noticed in MS/MS of all these compounds is due to ? N? CH(R)? N? bond cleavage to form the characteristic N‐ and C‐terminus fragment ions. The protonated ureidopeptide acids derived from glycine at the N‐terminus form protonated (9H‐fluoren‐9‐yl)methyl carbamate ion at m/z 240 which is absent for the corresponding esters. Another interesting fragmentation noticed in ureidopeptides derived from glycine at the N‐terminus is an unusual loss of 61 units from an intermediate fragment ion FmocNH = CH2+ (m/z 252). A mechanism involving an ion‐neutral complex and a direct loss of NH3 and CO2 is proposed for this process. Whereas ureidopeptides derived from alanine, leucine and phenylalanine at the N‐terminus eliminate CO2 followed by corresponding imine to form (9H‐fluoren‐9‐yl)methyl cation (C14H11+) from FmocNH = CHR+. In addition, characteristic immonium ions are also observed. The deprotonated ureidopeptide acids dissociate differently from the protonated ureidopeptides. The [M ? H]? ions of ureidopeptide acids undergo a McLafferty‐type rearrangement followed by the loss of CO2 to form an abundant [M ? H ? Fmoc + H]? which is absent for protonated ureidopeptides. Thus, the present study provides information on mass spectral characterization of ureidopeptides and distinguishes the positional isomers. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The use of kinetic energy release measurements in the structural characterization of ions formed in the mass spectrometer and in the determination of fragmentation mechanisms is demonstrated. In combination with information on the mode of energy partitioning in some of these reactions this allows the following conclusions: (i) The metastable [C7H8]8˙ ions formed from toluene, cyclohepatatriene, n-butylbenzene, the three methyl anisoles, methyl tropyl ether and benzyl methyl ether all undergo loss of H˙ from a common structure. (ii) The metastable [C7H7]+ ions generated from the same sources and from benzyl bromide, benzyl alcohol, p-xylene and ethylbenzene appear to undergo loss of acetylene from both the benzylic and the tropylium structures. (iii) The metastable [C7H7OCH3]+˙ ether molecular ions undergo loss of CH3˙ by two types of mechanism, simple cleavage to give the aryloxy cation (not observed for benzyl methyl ether) and a rearrangement process which appears to lead to protonated tropone as the product. (iv) Loss of formaldehyde from the metastable [C7H7OCH3]+˙ molecular ions involves hydrogen transfer via competitive 4- and 5-membered cyclic transition states in the case of the anisoles and in the case of methyl tropyl ether, while for benzyl methyl ether, hydrogen transfer in the nonisomerized molecular ion occurs via a 4-membered cyclic transition state to yield the cycloheptatriene molecular ion.  相似文献

The [C4H70]+ ions [CH2?CH? C(?OH)CH3]+ (1), [CH3CH?CH? C(?OH)H]+ (2), [CH2?C(CH3)C(?OH)H]+ (3), [Ch3CH2CH2C?O]+ (4) and [(CH3)2CHC?O]+ (5) have been characterized by their collision-induced dissociation (CID) mass spectra and charge stripping mass spectra. The ions 1–3 were prepared by gas phase protonation of the relevant carbonyl compounds while 4 and 5 were prepared by dissociative electron impact ionization of the appropriate carbonyl compounds. Only 2 and 3 give similar spectra and are difficult to distinguish from each other; the remaining ions can be readily characterized by either their CID mass spectra or their charge stripping mass spectra. The 2-pentanone molecular ion fragments by loss of the C(1) methyl and the C(5) methyl in the ratio 60:40 for metastable ions; at higher internal energies loss of the C(1) methyl becomes more favoured. Metastable ion characteristics, CID mass spectra and charge stripping mass spectra all show that loss of the C(1) methyl leads to formation of the acyl ion 4, while loss of the C(5) methyl leads to formation of protonated vinyl methyl ketone (1). These results are in agreement with the previously proposed potential energy diagram for the [C5H10O]+˙ system.  相似文献

Abstract

This study focusses on the preparation of ifosfamide (1; R1=CH2CH2Cl, R2=NHCH2CH2Cl) and cyclophosphamide (2 R1=H, R2=N(CH2CH2Cl)2), standard drugs in tumor therapy, in order to avoid the alkylating educts like 2-chloroethylamine by introducing chlorine in the final reaction step. The reaction of the trimethylsilyl compounds (3; R1=CH2CH2Cl, R2=NHCH2CH20SiMe3) and (4; R1=H, R2=N(CH2CH20SiMe3)2), respectively, with 2-chloro- 1,3,5-trimethyl-1,3,5-triaza-σ3λ3-2-phosphoM-4,6-dione, followed by chlorination of the resulting product with sulphuryl chloride, furnished the cytotoxic drugs (1) and (2) [l].  相似文献

The collision-induced dissociation (CID) spectra of five alkylmethyleneimmonium ions (H2C-N+R1R2, (a) R1 = R2 = C2H5, (b) R1 = n-C3H7, R2 = H, (c) R1 = n-C3H7, R2 = CH3, (d) R1 = n-C3H7, R2 = C2H5, (e) R1 = R2 = n-C3H7) are reported and discussed in terms of the mechanism of alkane loss. The most abundant alkane losses result from 2-azaallylic bond cleavages within R1 and R2 leading to daughter ions of m/z 84. Ion d (R1 = n-C3H7, R2 = C2H5) was chosen for a deuterium-labelling study because it exhibited methane loss nearly free from interferences with other fragmentations. The methane lost consists to a great extent (95%) of the methyl moiety of R2. Whereas the methyl moiety obviously stays intact during the fragmentation process, the hydrogen additionally needed originates from all positions of R1 and the double-bonded methylene in an approximately random distribution, suggesting extensive hydrogen migrations preceding the transfer step.  相似文献

The most significant mass spectral features of thirteen title compounds are discussed with the aid of high-resolution mass measurements and metastable peak analysis. The decomposition patterns of the compounds investigated are strongly affected by N-substitution and by methyl substituents ortho to the bridging chains (ortho effects). A unique feature connected with symmetrical macrocycles, bearing at least two ortho methyl substituents on each phenyl ring, is the presence in their spectra of diagnostically important peaks, corresponding to [M ? RNH2]+˙ and [M ? 2RNH2]+˙ (R = Ts, H, CH3). These daughter ions are proposed to be associated with the formation of cage compounds (multibridged cyclophanes), generated by an intramolecular [4 + 4] cycloaddition reaction of unstable linear bis-(o-xylylene) precursors.  相似文献

The electronic structure of a series of ammonium interhalides [R1R2R3R4N]XI2, where R1 = CH3, C2H5, C3H7, F, H; R2 = R3 = R4 = CH3, H; X = Cl, Br, I, was studied by ab initio calculations (RHF/3-21G, RHF/HW, MP2/HW). The thermodynamic stability of these compounds correlates with the strength of the hydrogen bond N-H···X and three-center interhalide bond X-I-I. Calculations confirmed that, in polar solvents, these compounds preferably decompose to [R1R2R3R4N]+ and XI2 - (with subsequent decomposition of the anion), and in nonpolar solvents, to the neutral species [R1R2R3R4N]X and I2. The calculation results were compared to the experimental data obtained by single crystal X-ray diffraction, 1H NMR spectroscopy, and spectrophotometry.  相似文献

2‐Methylideneglutarate mutase is an adenosylcobalamin (coenzyme B12)‐dependent enzyme that catalyses the equilibration of 2‐methylideneglutarate with (R)‐3‐methylitaconate. This reaction is believed to occur via protein‐bound free radicals derived from substrate and product. The stereochemistry of the formation of the methyl group of 3‐methylitaconate has been probed using a `chiral methyl group'. The methyl group in 3‐([2H1,3H]methyl)itaconate derived from either (R)‐ or (S)‐2‐methylidene[3‐2H1,3‐3H1]glutarate was a 50 : 50 mixture of (R)‐ and (S)‐forms. It is concluded that the barrier to rotation about the C−C bond between the methylene radical centre and adjacent C‐atom in the product‐related radical [.CH2CH(O2CC=CH2)CO2] is relatively low, and that the interaction of the radical with cob(II)alamin is minimal. Hence, cob(II)alamin is a spectator of the molecular rearrangement of the substrate radical to product radical.  相似文献
