We develop the Fredholm theory for Toeplitz operators, withsymbols in the C*-algebra D = [SO, SAP]n, n generated by allslowly oscillating (SO) and semi-almost periodic (SAP) n x nmatrix functions, on the Hardy spaces (with 1 < p < ) over the upper half-plane.Using limit operator techniques, we get necessary Fredholm conditionsfor any operator in the Banach algebra alg(S, D) of singularintegral operators with coefficients in D on the space [Lp (R)]n.Applying the Allan–Douglas local principle and the theoryof Toeplitz operators with SAP matrix symbols, we also establishFredholm criteria for Toeplitz operators with matrix symbolsg D on the space . Let T f be a Toeplitz operator on the Segal–Bargmann space or the standard weighted Bergman space over a bounded symmetric domain \({\Omega \subset {\bf C}^n}\) with possibly unbounded symbol f. Combining recent results in Bauer et al. (J. Funct. Anal. 259:57–78, 2010), Bauer et al. (J. reine angew. Math. doi: 10.1515/crelle-2015-0016), Issa (Integr. Equ. Oper. Theory 70:569–582, 2011) we show that in the case of uniformly continuous symbols f with respect to the Euclidean metric on C n and the Bergman metric on \({\Omega}\), respectively, the operator T f is bounded if and only if f is bounded. Moreover, T f is compact if and only if f vanishes at the boundary of \({\Omega.}\) This observation substantially extends a result in Coburn (Indiana Univ. Math. J. 23:433–439, 1973).  相似文献

In this note we describe centralizers of Toeplitz operators with polynomial symbols on the Bergman space. As a consequence it is shown that if an element of the norm closed algebra generated by all Toeplitz operators commutes with a Toeplitz operator of a nonconstant polynomial, then this element is a Toeplitz operator of a holomorphic function.  相似文献

If A and B are self-adjoint operators, this paper shows that A and B have order isomorphic invariant subspace lattices if and only if there are Borel subsets E and F of σ(A) and σ(B), respectively, whose complements have spectral measure zero, and there is a bijective function φ: EF such that (i) Δ is a Borel subset of E if and only if φ(Δ) is a Borel subset of F; (ii) a Borel subset Δ of E has A-spectral measure zero if and only if φ(Δ) has B-spectral measure zero; (iii) B is unitarily equivalent to φ(A). If A is any self-adjoint operator, there is an associated function κA : N ∪ {∞} → (N ∪ {0, ∞}) × {0,1} defined in this paper. If F denotes the collection of all functions from N ∪ {∞} into (N ∪ {0,∞}) × {0,1}, then F is a parameter space for the isomorphism classes of the invariant subspace lattices of self-adjoint operators. That is, two self-adjoint operators A and B have isomorphic invariant subspace lattices if and only if κA = κB. We study the Toeplitz operator $T^{\beta }_{\mu }$ , on the holomorphic Besov spaces $B^p_s$ in the unit ball, for complex measures $\mu $ on the unit ball. We give sufficient conditions for which $T^{\beta }_{\mu }$ is bounded. We establish a Fredholm criterion and an index formula for Toeplitz operators with semi-almost-periodic matrix symbols on the Hardy spaces H p (1<p<). Let ${\mathcal{A}_{\lambda}^2(\mathbb{B}^n)}$ denote the standard weighted Bergman space over the unit ball ${\mathbb{B}^n}$ in ${\mathbb{C}^n}$ . New classes of commutative Banach algebras ${\mathcal{T}(\lambda)}$ which are generated by Toeplitz operators on ${\mathcal{A}_{\lambda}^2(\mathbb{B}^n)}$ have been recently discovered in Vasilevski (Integr Equ Oper Theory 66(1):141?C152, 2010). These algebras are induced by the action of the quasi-elliptic group of biholomorphisms of ${\mathbb{B}^n}$ . In the present paper we analyze in detail the internal structure of such an algebra in the lowest dimensional case n?=?2. We explicitly describe the maximal ideal space and the Gelfand map of ${\mathcal{T}(\lambda)}$ . Since ${\mathcal{T}(\lambda)}$ is not invariant under the *-operation of ${\mathcal{L}(\mathcal{A}_{\lambda}^2(\mathbb{B}^n))}$ its inverse closedness is not obvious and is proved. We remark that the algebra ${\mathcal{T}(\lambda)}$ is not semi-simple and we derive its radical. Several applications of our results are given and, in particular, we conclude that the essential spectrum of elements in ${\mathcal{T}(\lambda)}$ is always connected.  相似文献

We prove Szegös strong limit theorem for Toeplitz determinants with a symbol having a nonstandard smoothness. We assume that the symbol belongs to the Wiener algebra and, moreover, the sequences of Fourier coefficients of the symbol with negative and nonnegative indices belong to weighted Orlicz classes generated by complementary N-functions both satisfying the 0 2-condition and by weight sequences satisfying some regularity and compatibility conditions.  相似文献
