A mathematical model of a special class of vibration isolation systems is investigated. The model contains formal (generalized) functions and reduces to the successive solution of boundary-value problems for differential equations with coupling conditions, ultimately yielding transcendental equations that can be solved numerically. Analytical and numerical solutions for autonomous systems are obtained, providing a means for the solution of problems in choosing the right parameters for damping systems to satisfy specified conditions for the normal operation of such systems in the presence of transient or abrupt inertial forces.  相似文献

This paper deals with a system of ordinary differential equations with known conditions associated with a given matrix. By using analytical and computational methods, the generalized inverses of the given matrix can be determined. Among these are the weighted Moore-Penrose inverse, the Moore-Penrose inverse, the Drazin inverse and the group inverse. In particular, a new insight is provided into the finite algorithms for computing the generalized inverse and the inverse.  相似文献

We use the theory of generalized linear differential equations to introduce new definitions of the exponential, hyperbolic and trigonometric functions. We derive some basic properties of these generalized functions, and show that the time scale elementary functions with Lebesgue integrable arguments represent a special case of our definitions.  相似文献

We analyze the relationship of generalized conditional symmetries of evolution equations to the formal compatibility and passivity of systems of differential equations as well as to systems of vector fields in involution. Earlier results on the connection between generalized conditional invariance and generalized reduction of evolution equations are revisited. This leads to a no-go theorem on determining equations for operators of generalized conditional symmetry. It is also shown that up to certain equivalences there exists a one-to-one correspondence between generalized conditional symmetries of an evolution equation and parametric families of its solutions.  相似文献

We introduce the generalized Jacobi-Gauss-Lobatto interpolation involving the values of functions and their derivatives at the endpoints, which play important roles in the Jacobi pseudospectral methods for high order problems. We establish some results on these interpolations in non-uniformly weighted Sobolev spaces, which serve as the basic tools in analysis of numerical quadratures and various numerical methods of differential and integral equations.  相似文献

Generalized solitary waves with exponentially small nondecaying far field oscillations have been studied in a range of singularly perturbed differential equations, including higher order Korteweg‐de Vries (KdV) equations. Many of these studies used exponential asymptotics to compute the behavior of the oscillations, revealing that they appear in the solution as special curves known as Stokes lines are crossed. Recent studies have identified similar behavior in solutions to difference equations. Motivated by these studies, the seventh‐order KdV and a hierarchy of higher order KdV equations are investigated, identifying conditions which produce generalized solitary wave solutions. These results form a foundation for the study of infinite‐order differential equations, which are used as a model for studying lattice equations. Finally, a lattice KdV equation is generated using finite‐difference discretization, in which a lattice generalized solitary wave solution is found.  相似文献

We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of inhomogeneous linear boundaryvalue problems for systems of ordinary differential equations with pulse influence in the case where the number of boundary conditions is not equal to the order of the differential system (Noetherian problems). We construct a generalized Green operator for boundary-value problems not all solutions of which can be extended from the left endpoint to the right endpoint of the interval where these solutions are constructed.  相似文献

We define a new class of Humbert's polynomials which generalizes the well-known class of Gegenbauer, Legendre, Pincherle, Horadam-Mahon, Kinney, Hordam-Pethe, Gould and Pathan-Khan polynomials. We prove that these generalized polynomials are eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonian of the Calogero-Sutherland model. The paper deals with growth estimates and approximation (not necessarily entire) of solutions of certain elliptic partial differential equations. These solutions are called generalized bi-axially symmetric potentials (GBASP's). To obtain more refined measure of growth, we have defined $q$-proximate order and obtained the characterization of generalized $q$-type and generalized lower $q$-type with respect to $q$-proximate order of a GBASP in terms of approximation errors and ratio of these errors in sup norm.  相似文献

In some earlier publications it has been shown that the solutions of the boundary integral equations for some mixed boundary value problems for the Helmholtz equation permit integral representations in terms of solutions of associated complicated singular algebraic ordinary differential equations. The solutions of these differential equations, however, are required to be known on some infinite interval on the real line, which is unsatisfactory from a practical point of view. In this paper, for the example of one specific boundary integral equation, the relevant solutions of the associated differential equation are expressed by integrals which contain only one unknown generalized function, the support of this generalized function is no longer unbounded but a compact subset of the real line. This generalized function is a distributional solution of the homogeneous boundary integral equation. By this null space distribution the boundary integral equation can be solved for arbitrary right-hand sides, this solution method can be considered of being analogous to the method of variation of parameters in the theory of ordinary differential equations. The nature of the singularities of the null space distribution is worked out and it is shown that the null space distribution itself can be expressed by solutions of the associated ordinary differential equation.  相似文献

从粘弹性材料的Boltzmann迭加原理和带空洞材料的线弹性本构关系出发,提出了一种损伤粘弹性材料具有广义力场的本构模型.应用变积方法得到了以卷积形式表示的泛函,并建立了损伤粘弹性固体的广义变分原理和广义势能原理.把它们应用于带损伤的粘弹性Timoshenko梁,得到了Timoshenko梁的统一的运动微分方程、初始条件和边界条件. 这些广义变分原理为近似求解带损伤的粘弹性问题提供了一条途径.  相似文献

This paper presents three generalizations of the van der Pol equation (VDPE) using newly proposed three new generalized K-, A- and B-operators. These operators allow kernel to be arbitrary. As a result, these operators provide a greater generalization of the VDPE than the fractional integral and differential operators do. Like the original VDPE, the generalized van der Pol equations (GVDPEs) are also nonlinear equations, and in most cases, they can not be solved analytically. Numerical algorithms are presented and used to solve the GVDPEs. Results for several examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the numerical algorithms, and to examine the behavior of the GVDPEs and the limit cycles associated with them. Although the numerical algorithms have been used to solve the GVDPEs only, they can also be used to solve many other generalized oscillators and generalized differential equations.
