The reactionpBe→Λ(1,520)X has been measured at 100 GeV incident momentum in the kinematic range 0.15<x<0.35 \((x = 2p_\parallel ^{c.m} /\sqrt s )\) andP T <1 GeV. The invariant cross section is compatible with that measured forpp interactions at the CERN-ISR. The differential cross sectiondσ/dp T 2 is fitted to an exponentiale p T 2 with α=2.7 GeV?2.  相似文献

The suppression of J/Ψ production at transverse moment p < 2 GeV/c in central 16O+238U→Ψ+X at 200 A GeV has been interpreted as a possible signature of quark-gluon plasma formation. We show, however, that the observed p dependence is consistent with extrapolations from p+A→Ψ+X data, and that quasielastic initial-state parton scattering together with final-state inelastic hadronic reactions may explain the preliminary data.  相似文献

This paper extends the method of the harmonic-oscillator product state as basis function to the hypernucleus A6Li which is of non-zero spin. we have studied the characteristic of the ground state of the hypernucleus A6Li with this method and an α+ p + A three cluster model. The calculated result shows the method can be used to calculate the energy level of the system in which the interaction between the constituent clusters is spin-dependent.  相似文献

A J/ψ meson is mainly formed by gluon fusion for 200 GeV pp collisions. In reactions with nuclei the gluons (g) scatter off other nucleons (N) before fusing to a J/ψ, which thenshows additional transverse momentum pT. Fitting the value of the parameter σgNp2TgN to describe the gluon multiple scattering effect in proton-nucleus data, we can reproduce the pT distribution of J/ψ production in 200 GeV/A nucleus-nucleus collisions. The origin of the pT distribution is traced to soft gluon radiation via the Sudakov form factor.  相似文献

A precision measurement of the double-differential production cross-section, d2σπ+/dpdΩ, for pions of positive charge, performed in the HARP experiment is presented. The incident particles are protons of 12.9 GeV/c momentum impinging on an aluminium target of 5% nuclear interaction length. The measurement of this cross-section has a direct application to the calculation of the neutrino flux of the K2K experiment. After cuts, 210 000 secondary tracks reconstructed in the forward spectrometer were used in this analysis. The results are given for secondaries within a momentum range from 0.75 to 6.5 GeV/c, and within an angular range from 30 mrad to 210 mrad. The absolute normalization was performed using prescaled beam triggers counting protons on target. The overall scale of the cross-section is known to better than 6%, while the average point-to-point error is 8.2%.  相似文献

Information on the properties of the ? meson in the nuclear environment has been derived from its production in proton collisions with C, Cu, Al, and Au nuclear targets. The experiment was carried out with 2.83?GeV protons at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY, with the ? being detected via its K ?+? K ?? decay using the ANKE magnetic spectrometer. The measured dependence of the production cross section on the nuclear mass number has been compared with calculations within three different nuclear models. These suggest a significant broadening of the width of the ? in medium relative to its vacuum value. The ANKE results obtained in the momentum range 0.6?p ? ?c are compared with data from photoproduction experiments at slightly higher momenta.  相似文献

By using the alpha cluster structure model of hypernuclei and the phenomenological interaction potential between Λ hyperon and α-particle, the Λ seperate energy of the hypernucleus 13ΛC is calculated. A good agreement with the experimental data is achieved. Based on this the Λ-seperate energy of the hypernucleus 17ΛO is predicted. It is consistent with the empirical value of 17ΛO and advantages over the existing theoretical calculation made up-to-date.  相似文献

The scale factor σ eff is the effective cross section used to characterize the measured rate of inclusive double dijet production in high-energy hadron collisions. It is sensitive to the two-parton distributions in the hadronic projectile. In principle, the scale factor depends on the center of mass energy and on the minimal transverse energy E T,min? of the jets contributing to the double dijet cross section. Here, we point out that proton–proton collisions at the LHC will provide for the first time experimental access to these scale dependences in a logarithmically wide, nominally perturbative kinematic range 10?E T,min??100 GeV. This constrains the dependence of two-parton distribution functions on parton momentum fractions and parton localization in impact parameter space. Novel information is to be expected about the transverse growth of hadronic distribution functions in the range of semi-hard Bjorken x (0.001?x?0.1) and high resolution Q 2. We discuss to what extent one can disentangle different pictures of the x-evolution of two-parton distributions in the transverse plane by measuring double-hard scattering events at the LHC.  相似文献

The BRAHMS measurement of proton-to-pion ratios in Au+Au and p+p collisions at $ \sqrt {s_{NN} } $ \sqrt {s_{NN} } = 62.4 GeV and $ \sqrt {s_{NN} } $ \sqrt {s_{NN} } = 200 GeV is presented as a function of transverse momentum and collision centrality within the pseudorapidity range 0 ≤ η ≤ 3. The baryo-chemical potential, μ B , for the indicated data spans from μ B ≈ 26 MeV ($ \sqrt {s_{NN} } $ \sqrt {s_{NN} } 200 GeV, η ≈ 0) to μ B ∼ 260 MeV ($ \sqrt {s_{NN} } $ \sqrt {s_{NN} } = 62.4 GeV, η ≈ 3) [1]. The p/πratio measured for Au+Au system at $ \sqrt {s_{NN} } $ \sqrt {s_{NN} } 62.4 GeV, η ≈ 3 reaches astounding value of 8–10 at p T > 1.5 GeV/c. For these energy and pseudorapidity interval no centrality dependency of p/π ratio is observed. Moreover, the baryon-to-meson ratio of nucleus-nucleus data are consistent with results obtained for p+p interactions.  相似文献

The product of the A_b~0(B~0) differential production cross-section and the branching fraction of the decay A_b~0→J/ψpK~-(B~0→J/ψK~*(892)~0) is measured as a function of the beauty hadron transverse momentum,p_T,and rapidity,y.The kinematic region of the measurements is p_T 20 GeV/c and 2.0y4.5.The measurements use a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3fb~(-1) collected by the LHCb detector in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies s~(1/2)=7 TeV in 2011 and s~(1/2)= 8TeV in 2012.Based on previous LHCb results of the fragmentation fraction ratio,f_∧_b~0/f_d,the branching fraction of the decay ∧_b~0→J/ψpK~- is measured to be B(∧_b~0→J/ψpK~-)=(3.17±0.04±0.07±0.34_(-0.28)~(+0.45)×10~(-4)where the first uncertainty is statistical,the second is systematic,the third is due to the uncertainty on the branching fraction of the decay B~0→J/ψK~*(892)~0,and the fourth is due to the knowledge of f_∧_b~0/f_d.The sum of the asymmetries in the production and decay between A_b and A_b~0 is also measured as a function of p_T and y.The previously published branching fraction of A_b~0→J/φpπ~-,relative to that of A_b~0→J/ψpK~-,is updated.The branching fractions of∧_b~0→P_c~+(→J/ψp)K~- are determined.  相似文献

The Coulomb-nuclear interference in the excitation probability of the 2.615 MeV (3) state of 208Pb by 16O at θCM=172° for bombarding energies 57 MeV ⩽Elab⩽79 MeV has been studied. The data are described by an effective interaction which has a behaviour similar to that expected from the dispersion relation connecting the real and imaginary parts of the generalized optical potential.  相似文献

A study of the d.ynamical fluctuation properties at various c.m.energies in e~ e~- collisions is performed using the Monte Carlo method.The results suggest that,after the normalized factorial moments of 3-dimensional phase space are analyzed using an isotropical phase space partition,the NFM describing non- linear dynamical properties show a power-law scaling,i.e.,the dynamical fluctuations in higher dimensional phase space are isotropic.For c.m.energies s~(1/2)≤80 GeV,the scaling exponentsφ_q increase rapidly with the c.m.energy and for c.m.energies s~(1/2)>80 GeV,theφ_q gradually saturate.  相似文献

Cross sections for the production of high-transverse-momentum charged hadrons in proton–nucleus interactions at the incident-proton energy of 50 GeV were measured with the aid of the FODS double-arm spectrometer. Single hadrons (charged pions and protons) emitted at a c.m. angle of about 90° and high-effective-mass pairs of hadrons flying apart at a c.m. angle of 180° were detected simultaneously.
