DAHA-Jones polynomials of torus knots T(rs) are studied systematically for reduced root systems and in the case of \(C^\vee C_1\). We prove the polynomiality and evaluation conjectures from the author’s previous paper on torus knots and extend the theory by the color exchange and further symmetries. The DAHA-Jones polynomials for \(C^\vee C_1\) depend on five parameters. Their surprising connection to the DAHA-superpolynomials (type A) for the knots \(T(2p+1,2)\) is obtained, a remarkable combination of the color exchange conditions and the author’s duality conjecture (justified by Gorsky and Negut). The uncolored DAHA-superpolynomials of torus knots are expected to coincide with the Khovanov–Rozansky stable polynomials and the superpolynomials defined via rational DAHA and/or in terms of certain Hilbert schemes. We end the paper with certain arithmetic counterparts of DAHA-Jones polynomials for the absolute Galois group in the case of \(C^\vee C_1\), developing the author’s previous results for \(A_1\).  相似文献

In this paper, we study the torsion subgroup and rank of elliptic curves for the subfamilies of \(E_{m,p} : y^2=x^3-m^2x+p^2\), where m is a positive integer and p is a prime. We prove that for any prime p, the torsion subgroup of \(E_{m,p}(\mathbb {Q})\) is trivial for both the cases {\(m\ge 1\), \(m\not \equiv 0\pmod 3\)} and {\(m\ge 1\), \(m \equiv 0 \pmod 3\), with \(gcd(m,p)=1\)}. We also show that given any odd prime p and for any positive integer m with \(m\not \equiv 0\pmod 3\) and \(m\equiv 2\pmod {32}\), the lower bound for the rank of \(E_{m,p}(\mathbb {Q})\) is 2. Finally, we find curves of rank 9 in this family.  相似文献

Suppose that \(G\) is a finite group such that \(\mathrm{SL }(n,q)\subseteq G \subseteq \mathrm{GL }(n,q)\), and that \(Z\) is a central subgroup of \(G\). Let \(T(G/Z)\) be the abelian group of equivalence classes of endotrivial \(k(G/Z)\)-modules, where \(k\) is an algebraically closed field of characteristic \(p\) not dividing \(q\). We show that the torsion free rank of \(T(G/Z)\) is at most one, and we determine \(T(G/Z)\) in the case that the Sylow \(p\)-subgroup of \(G\) is abelian and nontrivial. The proofs for the torsion subgroup of \(T(G/Z)\) use the theory of Young modules for \(\mathrm{GL }(n,q)\) and a new method due to Balmer for computing the kernel of restrictions in the group of endotrivial modules.  相似文献

Let p be an odd prime number and \(\ell \) an odd prime number dividing \(p-1\). We denote by \(F=F_{p,\ell }\) the real abelian field of conductor p and degree \(\ell \), and by \(h_F\) the class number of F. For a prime number \(r \ne p,\,\ell \), let \(F_{\infty }\) be the cyclotomic \(\mathbb {Z}_r\)-extension over F, and \(M_{\infty }/F_{\infty }\) the maximal pro-r abelian extension unramified outside r. We prove that \(M_{\infty }\) coincides with \(F_{\infty }\) and consequently \(h_F\) is not divisible by r when r is a primitive root modulo \(\ell \) and r is smaller than an explicit constant depending on p.  相似文献

For \(p\in [1,\infty ]\), we establish criteria for the one-sided invertibility of binomial discrete difference operators \({{\mathcal {A}}}=aI-bV\) on the space \(l^p=l^p(\mathbb {Z})\), where \(a,b\in l^\infty \), I is the identity operator and the isometric shift operator V is given on functions \(f\in l^p\) by \((Vf)(n)=f(n+1)\) for all \(n\in \mathbb {Z}\). Applying these criteria, we obtain criteria for the one-sided invertibility of binomial functional operators \(A=aI-bU_\alpha \) on the Lebesgue space \(L^p(\mathbb {R}_+)\) for every \(p\in [1,\infty ]\), where \(a,b\in L^\infty (\mathbb {R}_+)\), \(\alpha \) is an orientation-preserving bi-Lipschitz homeomorphism of \([0,+\infty ]\) onto itself with only two fixed points 0 and \(\infty \), and \(U_\alpha \) is the isometric weighted shift operator on \(L^p(\mathbb {R}_+)\) given by \(U_\alpha f= (\alpha ^\prime )^{1/p}(f\circ \alpha )\). Applications of binomial discrete operators to interpolation theory are given.  相似文献

For \(x>0\), let \(\pi (x)\) denote the number of primes not exceeding x. For integers a and \(m>0\), we determine when there is an integer \(n>1\) with \(\pi (n)=(n+a)/m\). In particular, we show that, for any integers \(m>2\) and \(a\leqslant \lceil e^{m-1}/(m-1)\rceil \), there is an integer \(n>1\) with \(\pi (n)=(n+a)/m\). Consequently, for any integer \(m>4\), there is a positive integer n with \(\pi (mn)=m+n\). We also pose several conjectures for further research; for example, we conjecture that, for each \(m=1,2,3,\ldots \), there is a positive integer n such that \(m+n\) divides \(p_m+p_n\), where \(p_k\) denotes the k-th prime.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to give upper bounds for the Euclidean minima of abelian fields of odd prime power conductor. In particular, these bounds imply Minkowski’s conjecture for totally real number fields of conductor \(p^r\), where \(p\) is an odd prime number and \(r \ge 2\).  相似文献

We prove Nikol’skii type inequalities that, for polynomials on the n-dimensional torus \(\mathbb {T}^n\), relate the \(L^p\)-norm with the \(L^q\)-norm (with respect to the normalized Lebesgue measure and \(0 <p <q < \infty \)). Among other things, we show that \(C=\sqrt{q/p}\) is the best constant such that \(\Vert P\Vert _{L^q}\le C^{\text {deg}(P)} \Vert P\Vert _{L^p}\) for all homogeneous polynomials P on \(\mathbb {T}^n\). We also prove an exact inequality between the \(L^p\)-norm of a polynomial P on \(\mathbb {T}^n\) and its Mahler measure M(P), which is the geometric mean of |P| with respect to the normalized Lebesgue measure on \(\mathbb {T}^n\). Using extrapolation, we transfer this estimate into a Khintchine–Kahane type inequality, which, for polynomials on \(\mathbb {T}^n\), relates a certain exponential Orlicz norm and Mahler’s measure. Applications are given, including some interpolation estimates.  相似文献

Let M be a 3-manifold with torus boundary components \(T_{1}\) and \(T_2\). Let \(\phi :T_{1} \rightarrow T_{2}\) be a homeomorphism, \(M_\phi \) the manifold obtained from M by gluing \(T_{1}\) to \(T_{2}\) via the map \(\phi \), and T the image of \(T_{1}\) in \(M_\phi \). We show that if \(\phi \) is “sufficiently complicated” then any incompressible or strongly irreducible surface in \(M_\phi \) can be isotoped to be disjoint from T. It follows that every Heegaard splitting of a 3-manifold admitting a “sufficiently complicated” JSJ decomposition is an amalgamation of Heegaard splittings of the components of the JSJ decomposition.  相似文献

Let p be an odd prime number and let \(X_0^+(p)\) be the quotient of the classical modular curve \(X_0(p)\) by the action of the Atkin–Lehner operator \(w_p\). In this paper, we show how to compute explicit equations for the canonical model of \(X_0^+(p)\). Then we show how to compute the modular parametrization, when it exists, from \(X_0^+(p)\) to an isogeny factor E of dimension 1 of its Jacobian \(J_0^+(p)\). Finally, we show how to use this map to determine the rational points on \(X_0^+(p)\) up to a large fixed height.  相似文献

For a graph H, let \(\alpha (H)\) and \(\alpha ^{\prime }(H)\) denote the independence number and the matching number, respectively. Let \(k\ge 2\) and \(r>0\) be given integers. We prove that if H is a k-connected claw-free graph with \(\alpha (H)\le r\), then either H is Hamiltonian or the Ryjá c? ek’s closure \(cl(H)=L(G)\) where G can be contracted to a k-edge-connected \(K_3\)-free graph \(G_0^{\prime }\) with \(\alpha ^{\prime }(G_0^{\prime })\le r\) and \(|V(G_0^{\prime })|\le \max \{3r-5, 2r+1\}\) if \(k\ge 3\) or \(|V(G_0^{\prime })|\le \max \{4r-5, 2r+1\}\) if \(k=2\) and \(G_0^{\prime }\) does not have a dominating closed trail containing all the vertices that are obtained by contracting nontrivial subgraphs. As corollaries, we prove the following:
  1. (a)
    A 2-connected claw-free graph H with \(\alpha (H)\le 3\) is either Hamiltonian or \(cl(H)=L(G)\) where G is obtained from \(K_{2,3}\) by adding at least one pendant edge on each degree 2 vertex;

  2. (b)
A 3-connected claw-free graph H with \(\alpha (H)\le 7\) is either Hamiltonian or \(cl(H)=L(G)\) where G is a graph with \(\alpha ^{\prime }(G)=7\) that is obtained from the Petersen graph P by adding some pendant edges or subdividing some edges of P.

Case (a) was first proved by Xu et al. [19]. Case (b) is an improvement of a result proved by Flandrin and Li [12]. For a given integer \(r>0\), the number of graphs of order at most \(\max \{4r-5, 2r+1\}\) is fixed. The main result implies that improvements to case (a) or (b) by increasing the value of r and by enlarging the collection of exceptional graphs can be obtained with the help of a computer. Similar results involved degree or neighborhood conditions are also discussed.

We study the \(\kappa \)-Borel-reducibility of isomorphism relations of complete first order theories in a countable language and show the consistency of the following: For all such theories T and \(T^{\prime }\), if T is classifiable and \(T^{\prime }\) is not, then the isomorphism of models of \(T^{\prime }\) is strictly above the isomorphism of models of T with respect to \(\kappa \)-Borel-reducibility. In fact, we can also ensure that a range of equivalence relations modulo various non-stationary ideals are strictly between those isomorphism relations. The isomorphism relations are considered on models of some fixed uncountable cardinality obeying certain restrictions.  相似文献

Let \((x_\alpha )\) be a net in a locally solid vector lattice \((X,\tau )\); we say that \((x_\alpha )\) is unbounded \(\tau \)-convergent to a vector \(x\in X\) if \(|x_\alpha -x |\wedge w \xrightarrow {\tau } 0\) for all \(w\in X_+\). In this paper, we study general properties of unbounded \(\tau \)-convergence (shortly \(u\tau \)-convergence). \(u\tau \)-convergence generalizes unbounded norm convergence and unbounded absolute weak convergence in normed lattices that have been investigated recently. We introduce \(u\tau \)-topology and briefly study metrizability and completeness of this topology.  相似文献

We investigate the weighted bounds for multilinear maximal functions and Calderón–Zygmund operators from \(L^{p_1}(w_1)\times \cdots \times L^{p_m}(w_m)\) to \(L^{p}(v_{\vec {w}})\), where \(1<p_1,\cdots ,p_m<\infty \) with \(1/{p_1}+\cdots +1/{p_m}=1/p\) and \(\vec {w}\) is a multiple \(A_{\vec {P}}\) weight. We prove the sharp bound for the multilinear maximal function for all such \(p_1,\ldots , p_m\) and prove the sharp bound for \(m\)-linear Calderón–Zymund operators when \(p\ge 1\).  相似文献

Romanov proved that the proportion of positive integers which can be represented as a sum of a prime and a power of 2 is positive. We establish similar results for integers of the form \(n=p+2^{2^k}+m!\) and \(n=p+2^{2^k}+2^q\) where \(m,k \in \mathbb {N}\) and pq are primes. In the opposite direction, Erd?s constructed a full arithmetic progression of odd integers none of which is the sum of a prime and a power of two. While we also exhibit in both cases full arithmetic progressions which do not contain any integers of the two forms, respectively, we prove a much better result for the proportion of integers not of these forms: (1) The proportion of positive integers not of the form \(p+2^{2^k}+m!\) is larger than \(\frac{3}{4}\). (2) The proportion of positive integers not of the form \(p+2^{2^k}+2^q\) is at least \(\frac{2}{3}\).  相似文献

For \(n\ge 1\), the nth Ramanujan prime is defined as the least positive integer \(R_{n}\) such that for all \(x\ge R_{n}\), the interval \((\frac{x}{2}, x]\) has at least n primes. Let \(p_{i}\) be the ith prime and \(R_{n}=p_{s}\). Sondow, Laishram, and other scholars gave a series of upper bounds of s. In this paper we establish several results giving estimates of upper and lower bounds of Ramanujan primes. Using these estimates, we discuss a conjecture on Ramanujan primes of Sondow–Nicholson–Noe and prove that if \(n>10^{300}\), then \(\pi (R_{mn})\le m\pi (R_{n})\) for \(m\ge 1\).  相似文献

Let \(n\in \mathbb {N}\), \(n\ge 2\), \(\beta >0\) fixed, and \(0<b\le \beta \). For \(n-1<\alpha \le n\), we look to classify extremal points for the fractional differential equation \(D_{0^+}^{\alpha }u+p(t) u=0\), satisfying the boundary conditions \(u^{(i)}(0)=0\), \(i=0,\ldots ,n-2\), \(D_{0^+}^\gamma u(b)=0\), where p(t) is a continuous nonnegative function on \([0,\beta ]\) which does not vanish identically on any nondegenerate compact subinterval of \([0,\beta ]\). Using the theory of Krein and Rutman, first extremal points of this boundary value problem are classified. As an application, the results are applied, along with a fixed-point theorem, to show the existence of a solution of a nonlinear fractional boundary value problem.  相似文献

Let \(\bar{p}(n)\) denote the number of overpartitions of \(n\). Recently, Fortin–Jacob–Mathieu and Hirschhorn–Sellers independently obtained 2-, 3- and 4-dissections of the generating function for \(\bar{p}(n)\) and derived a number of congruences for \(\bar{p}(n)\) modulo 4, 8 and 64 including \(\bar{p}(8n+7)\equiv 0 \pmod {64}\) for \(n\ge 0\). In this paper, we give a 16-dissection of the generating function for \(\bar{p}(n)\) modulo 16 and show that \(\bar{p}(16n+14)\equiv 0\pmod {16}\) for \(n\ge 0\). Moreover, using the \(2\)-adic expansion of the generating function for \(\bar{p}(n)\) according to Mahlburg, we obtain that \(\bar{p}(\ell ^2n+r\ell )\equiv 0\pmod {16}\), where \(n\ge 0\), \(\ell \equiv -1\pmod {8}\) is an odd prime and \(r\) is a positive integer with \(\ell \not \mid r\). In particular, for \(\ell =7\) and \(n\ge 0\), we get \(\bar{p}(49n+7)\equiv 0\pmod {16}\) and \(\bar{p}(49n+14)\equiv 0\pmod {16}\). We also find four congruence relations: \(\bar{p}(4n)\equiv (-1)^n\bar{p}(n) \pmod {16}\) for \(n\ge 0\), \(\bar{p}(4n)\equiv (-1)^n\bar{p}(n)\pmod {32}\) where \(n\) is not a square of an odd positive integer, \(\bar{p}(4n)\equiv (-1)^n\bar{p}(n)\pmod {64}\) for \(n\not \equiv 1,2,5\pmod {8}\) and \(\bar{p}(4n)\equiv (-1)^n\bar{p}(n)\pmod {128}\) for \(n\equiv 0\pmod {4}\).  相似文献

The well-known Chowla and Zassenhaus conjecture, proven by Cohen in 1990, states that for any \(d\ge 2\) and any prime \(p>(d^2-3d+4)^2\) there is no complete mapping polynomial in \(\mathbb {F}_p[x]\) of degree d. For arbitrary finite fields \(\mathbb {F}_q\), we give a similar result in terms of the Carlitz rank of a permutation polynomial rather than its degree. We prove that if \(n<\lfloor q/2\rfloor \), then there is no complete mapping in \(\mathbb {F}_q[x]\) of Carlitz rank n of small linearity. We also determine how far permutation polynomials f of Carlitz rank \(n<\lfloor q/2\rfloor \) are from being complete, by studying value sets of \(f+x.\) We provide examples of complete mappings if \(n=\lfloor q/2\rfloor \), which shows that the above bound cannot be improved in general.  相似文献
