In this paper, we discuss the existence of positive periodic solutions to the nonlinear differential equation u(t)+a(t)u(t)=f(t,u(t)),tR, where a:R[0,+) is an ω-periodic continuous function with a(t)0, f:R×[0,+)[0,+) is continuous and f(,u):R[0,+) is also an ω-periodic function for each u[0,+). Using the fixed point index theory in a cone, we get an essential existence result because of its involving the first positive eigenvalue of the linear equation with regard to the above equation.  相似文献

We prove that under certain assumptions if lu + b2u = 0, b > 0, where l is an operator Schrödinger equation defined in section 2 and u exp(?br) → 0 as r → ∞ then u?L2. A body in a damped oscillator eventually stops at the origin. Can we drag the body to the positive side by giving a positive driving force? Unfortunately, due to the oscillatory motion of the body, it is not true in general. In this paper, we give a sufficient condition on the driving force guaranteeing the asymptotic positivity of the position of the body, which means the negative part of the position vanishes in time. Also the result will be extended to a wider class of differential equations including the damped oscillator.  相似文献
