Weak Convergence Theorems for Nonexpansive Mappings and Monotone Mappings

In this paper, we introduce an iteration process of finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of a variational inequality problem for an inverse strongly-monotone mapping, and then obtain a weak convergence theorem. Using this result, we obtain a weak convergence theorem for a pair of a nonexpansive mapping and a strictly pseudocontractive mapping. Further, we consider the problem of finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of zeros of an inverse strongly-monotone mapping.

Convergence Theorems for Non-Self Mappings in CAT(0) Spaces

In this paper, we prove strong convergence of Mann iterative schemes to fixed points of multi-valued demicontractive non-self mappings in complete CAT(0) spaces under appropriate conditions. In addition, △? convergence or strong convergence of Mann iterative scheme to a fixed point of single-valued k-strictly pseudocontractive non-self mapping is obtained. Our theorems improve and unify most of the results in the literature.     

Strong Convergence Theorems for Variational Inequalities and Fixed Point Problems of Asymptotically Strict Pseudocontractive Mappings in the Intermediate Sense

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the problem of finding a common element of the set of fixed points of an asymptotically strict pseudocontractive mapping in the intermediate sense and the set of solutions of the variational inequality problem for a monotone, Lipschitz continuous mapping. We introduce a modified hybrid Mann iterative scheme with perturbed mapping which is based on well-known CQ method, Mann iteration method and hybrid (or outer approximation) method. We establish a strong convergence theorem for three sequences generated by this modified hybrid Mann iterative scheme with perturbed mapping. Utilizing this theorem, we also design an iterative process for finding a common fixed point of two mappings, one of which is an asymptotically strict pseudocontractive mapping in the intermediate sense and the other taken from the more general class of Lipschitz pseudocontractive mappings.

In this paper, we introduce two iterative sequences for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem in a Hilbert space. Then, we show that one of the sequences converges strongly and the other converges weakly.

本文研究了非线性拟$\Phi$-伪压缩映象与$\Phi$-伪压缩映象的不动点的迭代逼近问题.研究结果表明: 在任意实的Banach空间$E$中,拟$\Phi$-伪压缩映象与$\Phi$-伪压缩映象$T$~($T$不必连续)的具误差的Ishikawa与Mann迭代序列强收敛于$T$的唯一不动点.所得结果不但改进和推广了最近一些文献的相关结果,而且也改进了定理的证明方法.     

Viscosity approximation methods for generalized equilibrium problems and fixed point problems

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the problem of finding a common element of the set of solutions of a generalized equilibrium problem (for short, GEP) and the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping in the setting of Hilbert spaces. By using well-known Fan-KKM lemma, we derive the existence and uniqueness of a solution of the auxiliary problem for GEP. On account of this result and Nadler’s theorem, we propose an iterative scheme by the viscosity approximation method for finding a common element of the set of solutions of GEP and the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping. Furthermore, it is proven that the sequences generated by this iterative scheme converge strongly to a common element of the set of solutions of GEP and the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping.

Iterative Algorithms for Mixed Equilibrium Problems,Strict Pseudocontractions and Monotone Mappings

In this paper, we introduce some iterative algorithms for finding a common element of the set of solutions of a mixed equilibrium problem, the set of fixed points of a strict pseudocontraction and the set of solutions of a variational inequality for a monotone, Lipschitz continuous mapping. We obtain both weak and strong convergence theorems for the sequences generated by these processes in Hilbert spaces.     

General Strongly Nonlinear Quasivariational Inequalities with Relaxed Lipschitz and Relaxed Monotone Mappings

In this paper, we introduce and study a new class of general strongly nonlinear quasivariational inequalities and construct a general iterative algorithm by using the projection method. We establish the existence of a unique solution for general strongly nonlinear quasivariational inequalities involving relaxed Lipschitz, relaxed monotone, and strongly monotone mappings; we obtain the convergence and stability of the iterative sequences generated by the algorithm. Our results extend, improve, and unify many known results due to Bose, Noor, Siddiqi-Ansari, Verma, Yao, Zeng, and others.

On the Semismoothness of Projection Mappings and Maximum Eigenvalue Functions

This paper analyses the properties of the projection mapping over a set defined by a constraint function whose image is possibly a nonpolyhedral convex set. Under some nondegeneracy assumptions, we prove the (strong) semismoothness of the projection mapping. In particular, we derive the strong semismoothness of the projection mapping when the nonpolyhedral convex set under consideration is taken to be the second-order cone or the semidefinite cone. We also derive the semismoothness of the solution to the Moreau–Yosida regularization of the maximum eigenvalue function.     

Strong Convergence Theorems for Quasi-Nonexpansive Mappings and Uniformly L-Lipschitzian Asymptotically Pseudo-Contractive Mappings in Banach Spaces

A new 𝒮-generated Ishikawa iteration with errors is proposed for a pair of quasi-nonexpansive mapping and uniformly L-Lipschitzian asymptotically pseudo-contractive mapping in real Banach spaces. We show that the proposed iterative scheme converges strongly to a common solution of quasi-nonexpansive mapping and uniformly L-Lipschitzian asymptotically pseudo-contractive mapping in real Banach spaces. A comparison table is prepared using a numeric example which shows that the proposed iterative algorithm is faster than some known iterative algorithms.
