We investigate the hadron productions in hyperon proton collisions in terms of the quark-diquark cascade model with diffractive component. We compare our predicted spectra Ξ?→Ξ? X and Ξ?→Ω? X with the experimental data. The distribution functions of constituents in incident hadrons and the momentum sharing functions of cascade processes are characterized by the intercepts of Regge trajectories, revealing the difference betweens quark and non-strange quark.  相似文献

We present a study of associated ηc and γ double diffractive production in pp^- collision based on Ingelman-Schlein model, and the framework of non-relativistic QOD factorization formalism for quarkonia production. The prediction of ηc and γ is more reliable than J/ψ production, because the associated ηc and γ production is a pure color-octet process, and the dominant contribution comes from color octet ^1S0^(8) subprocess, which is related to the color octet matrix element of ^1S0(8) of J/ψ by the heavy quark spin symmetry and the large PT J/ψ production data. We find that the ratio of diffractive to inclusive cross sections is independent of the values of color octet matrix elements, but is sensitive to the gluon factor of the Pomeron and renormalized Pomeron flux factors. So experimental measurement of this ratio can give us more information of the nature of Pomeron and test the assumption of hard diffractive factorization in hadron-hadron collisions.  相似文献

We consider a model for elastic scattering and inelastic diffractive production at high energy, which is inspired by Quantum Chromodynamics. The pomeron arises in our model from gluon exchange between quark constituents. The color-neutrality of each hadron implies strong cancellations among the gluon exchanges. Hence our model is “subtractive”, in contrast to the old “additive” quark model. The subtractive model provides a natural explanation for the large cross section which is observed for diffractive dissociation. We show that multiple gluon exchange contributes significantly, alongside two gluon exchange, in building the pomeron.  相似文献

Diffractive dissociation of hadrons is related to the quark-glue picture of their structure. It is shown that the quark-glue model can produce sufficiently large variations of opacities for diffractive eigenstates to account for the experimental value of diffractive cross sections if unitarity is saturated in central glue-glue collisions. This requirement simplifies the collision picture and provides a natural explanation for the observed energy independence of proton opacity in central pp collisions.  相似文献

The single diffractive component is introduced in the dual Monte Carlo chain decay model of soft particle production. The diffractively excited multiparticle states in this model arise from the fragmentation of two chains formed out of the valence quarks and antiquarks (or diquarks) of the diffractively excited hadron and a sea quark-antiquark pair of the Pomeron, considered to be a gluonic object. In this way the excited clusters behave in a way quite similar to multiparticle states formed in nondiffractive meson-hadron collisions. The calculated multiparticle states agree quite well with recent data from the UA4-SPS collider collaboration and with recent data on strange particle production in diffractive photon-proton collisions.  相似文献

We present a way to calculate tetraquarks ratios for quark gluon plasma with diquarks, The ratios of tetraquarks over baryons produced from quark matter are high than hadronic gas model limits. It is a better way to search for four-quark states in relativistic heavy ion collisions. It may become a criterion to judge whether quark-gluon plasma has formed to search for four-quark states in relativistic heavy ion collisions.  相似文献

We calculate the nuclear inclusive and diffractive cross sections for heavy quark photoproduction within a phenomenological saturation approach. The nuclear cross section is obtained by the extension of the saturation model through the Glauber-Gribov formalism. We predict large nuclear heavy quark cross sections at LHC energies.Received: 6 May 2003, Revised: 1 July 2003, Published online: 5 September 2003  相似文献

Topological cross sections for diffractive and nondiffractive components in pp collisions are deduced on the basis of a dynamical model proposed earlier to explain the multiplicity distribution of charged particles. The model has an important prediction for the angular and momentum distributions of charged particles in diffractive events.  相似文献

Multiparticle production in high-energy proton-proton collisions has been analyzed in the framework of the strongly correlated quark model of the hadron structure elaborated by the author. It is shown that inelasticity decreases at high energies and the violation of KNO scaling is a consequence of total cross-section growth and increases with collision energy masses of intermediate clusters.  相似文献

The formation of hot, dense quark matter in violent high energy heavy ion collisions is discussed in a relativistic hydrodynamical model. Rapidly pulsating blobs of quark matter (treated in the bag model) are predicted to appear as a result of the expansive flow of the compressed quark matter against the contracting influence of confinement. The radial oscillations may result in pulsed matter emission.  相似文献

The momentum distribution of Λ0 hyperons produced from the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions is calculated in dependence on their polarization. The momentum distribution of Λ0 hyperons is defined by matrix elements of relativistic quark Wigner operators, which are calculated within the effective quark model with chiral U(3)×U(3) symmetry and the quark-gluon transport theory. We show that the polarization of the Λ0 hyperon depends on the spin of the strange quark that agrees well with the DeGrand-Miettinen model. We show that Λ0 hyperons, produced from the QGP, are fully unpolarized. This means that a detection of unpolarized Λ0 hyperons, produced in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions, should serve as one of the signatures for the existence of the QGP in intermediate states of ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions.  相似文献

We use the constituent quark model (CQM) to describe CDF data on double parton cross section and HERA data on the ratio cross section of elastic and inelastic diffractive productions. Our estimate shows that the radius of the constituent quark turns out to be rather small, GeV-2, in accordance with the assumption on which CQM is based. The data on average hadron multiplicities in central A+A collisions measured at CERN SPS are analysed with the ideal hadron gas model. It is shown that the full chemical equilibrium version of the model fails to describe the experimental results. The agreement of the data with the off–equilibrium version allowing for partial strangeness saturation is significantly better. The chemical freeze–out temperature of about 180 MeV seems to be independent of the system size (from S+S to Pb+Pb) and in agreement with that extracted in , and collisions. The strangeness suppression is discussed at both hadron and valence quark level. It is found that the hadronic strangeness saturation factor increases from about 0.45 for interactions to about 0.7 for central A+A collisions with no significant change from S+S to Pb+Pb collisions indicating that the strangeness enhancement in heavy ion collisions cannot be fully attributed to the increased system size. The quark strangeness suppression factor is found to be about 0.2 for elementary collisions and about 0.4 for heavy ion collisions independently of collision energy and type of colliding system. The spin polarizations of hadrons inclusively produced by pp, γp and νp collisions are studied by the quark rearrangement model. The present model is a phenomenological one based on the relativistic spin equations of motion and using the quark distribution functions in hadrons and photon. A general success of the model is demonstrated. We find usefulness of the present formulation for studying the dynamics producing spin asymmetry distributions and the statics determining signs and magnitudes of the spin polarization by reflecting the characteristic quark structure in hadrons.  相似文献

Energy dependence of quark transverse flow carries information about dynamical properties (equation of state, initial conditions) of deconfined matter produced in heavy ion collisions. We assume quark-antiquark matter formation in Pb+Pb collisions at CERN SPS and Au+Au collisions at RHIC energies and determine quark transverse flow at the critical temperature of the quark-hadron phase transition. Coalescence of massive quarks is calculated in the MICOR hadronization model and hadronic final state effects are considered using the GROMIT cascade program. Comparing theoretical results to data, transverse flow values are determined and energy dependence is discussed.  相似文献

Charged particle multiplicities in A+A and p(p̄)+p collisions as a function of pseudorapidity, centrality and energy are studied in both the nucleon and the constituent quark frameworks. In the present work, the calculation using the nuclear overlap model takes into account the fact that for the peripheral A+A and p+p collisions the number of nucleon and constituent quark participants cannot be smaller than two. A striking agreement is seen between the particle density in A+A and p(p̄)+p collisions, both at mid-rapidity and in the fragmentation regions, when normalized to the number of participating constituent quarks. The observations presented in this paper imply that the number of constituent quark pairs participating in the collision controls the particle production.
