In this paper we study a dynamical system which consists of the Cauchy problem for a nonlinear evolution equation of first order coupled with a nonlinear time-dependent variational–hemivariational inequality with constraint in Banach spaces. The evolution equation is considered in the framework of evolution triple of spaces, and the inequality which involves both the convex and nonconvex potentials. We prove existence of solution by the Kakutani–Ky Fan fixed point theorem combined with the Minty formulation and the theory of hemivariational inequalities. We illustrate our findings by examining a nonlinear quasistatic elastic frictional contact problem for which we provide a result on existence of weak solution.  相似文献

We consider a frictionless contact problem with unilateral constraints for a 2D bar. We describe the problem, then we derive its weak formulation, which is in the form of an elliptic variational inequality of the first kind. Next, we establish the existence of a unique weak solution to the problem and prove its continuous dependence with respect to the applied tractions and constraints. We proceed with the study of an associated control problem for which we prove the existence of an optimal pair. Finally, we consider a perturbed optimal control problem for which we prove a convergence result.  相似文献

In this paper we deal with a viscoelastic unilateral contact problem with normal damped response. The process is assumed to be dynamic and frictionless. Normal damping function is modeled by the Clarke subdifferential of a nonconvex and nonsmooth function. First, the variational formulation of this problem is provided in the form of a nonlinear first order variational–hemivariational inequality for the velocity field. Then, based on the surjectivity results for pseudomonotone and maximal monotone operators, we obtain the unique solvability for a new class of abstract evolutionary variational-hemivariational inequalities. Finally, we apply our abstract results to prove the existence of a unique weak solution to the corresponding contact problem.  相似文献

A coupled thermoviscoelastic frictional contact problem is investigated. The contact is modelled by the Signorini condition for the displacement velocities and the friction by the Coulomb law. The heat generated by friction is described by a non‐linear boundary condition with at most linear growth. The weak formulation of the problem consists of a variational inequality for the elasticity part and a variational equation for the heat conduction part. In order to prove the existence of a solution to this problem we first use an approximation of the Signorini condition by the penalty method. The existence of a solution for the approximate problem is shown using the fixed‐point theorem of Schauder. This theorem is applied to the composition of the solution operator for the contact problem with given temperature field and the solution operator for the heat equation problem with known displacement field. To obtain this proof, the unique solvability of both problems is necessary. Due to this reason it is necessary to introduce the penalty method. While the penalized contact problem has a unique solution, this is not clear for the original contact problem. The solvability of the original frictional contact problem is verified by an investigation of the limit for vanishing penalty parameter. Copyright © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We study a boundary contact problem for a micropolar homogeneous elastic hemitropic medium with regard of friction; in the considered case, friction forces do not arise in the tangential displacement but correspond to a normal displacement of the medium. We consider two cases: the coercive case (in which the elastic body has a fixed part of the boundary) and the noncoercive case (without fixed parts). By using the Steklov–Poincaré operator, we reduce this problem to an equivalent boundary variational inequality. Existence and uniqueness theorems are proved for the weak solution on the basis of properties of general variational inequalities. In the coercive case, the problem is unconditionally solvable, and the solution depends continuously on the data of the original problem. In the noncoercive case, we present closed-form necessary conditions for the existence of a solution of the contact problem. Under additional assumptions, these conditions are also sufficient for the existence of a solution.  相似文献

In this paper we are concerned with a kind of nonlinear transmission problem with Signorini contact conditions. This problem can be described by a coupled FEM-BEM variational inequality. We first develop a preconditioning gradient projection method for solving the variational inequality. Then we construct an effective domain decomposition preconditioner for the discrete system. The preconditioner makes the coupled inequality problem be decomposed into an equation problem and a “small” inequality problem, which can be solved in parallel. We give a complete analysis to the convergence speed of this iterative method.  相似文献

In this paper, we couple regularization techniques of nondifferentiable optimization with the h‐version of the boundary element method (h‐BEM) to solve nonsmooth variational problems arising in contact mechanics. As a model example, we consider the delamination problem. The variational formulation of this problem leads to a hemivariational inequality with a nonsmooth functional defined on the contact boundary. This problem is first regularized and then discretized by an h‐BEM. We prove convergence of the h‐BEM Galerkin solution of the regularized problem in the energy norm, provide an a priori error estimate and give a numerical examples. In this paper, we introduce the notion of a weak sharp set of solutions to a variational inequality problem (VIP) in a reflexive, strictly convex and smooth Banach space, and present its several equivalent conditions. We also prove, under some continuity and monotonicity assumptions, that if any sequence generated by an algorithm for solving (VIP) converges to a weak sharp solution, then we can obtain solutions for (VIP) by solving a finite number of convex optimization subproblems with linear objective. Moreover, in order to characterize finite convergence of an iterative algorithm, we introduce the notion of a weak subsharp set of solutions to a variational inequality problem (VIP), which is more general than that of weak sharp solutions in Hilbert spaces. We establish a sufficient and necessary condition for the finite convergence of an algorithm for solving (VIP) which satisfies that the sequence generated by which converges to a weak subsharp solution of (VIP), and show that the proximal point algorithm satisfies this condition. As a consequence, we prove that the proximal point algorithm possesses finite convergence whenever the sequence generated by which converges to a weak subsharp solution of (VIP).  相似文献

In this paper, we first characterize finite convergence of an arbitrary iterative algorithm for solving the variational inequality problem (VIP), where the finite convergence means that the algorithm can find an exact solution of the problem in a finite number of iterations. By using this result, we obtain that the well-known proximal point algorithm possesses finite convergence if the solution set of VIP is weakly sharp. As an extension, we show finite convergence of the inertial proximal method for solving the general variational inequality problem under the condition of weak g-sharpness.  相似文献

In this paper we present a model of dynamic frictional contact between a thermoviscoelastic body and a foundation. The thermoviscoelastic constitutive law includes a temperature effect described by the parabolic equation with the subdifferential boundary condition and a damage effect described by the parabolic inclusion with the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. Contact is modeled with bilateral condition and is associated to a subdifferential frictional law. The variational formulation of the problem leads to a system of hyperbolic hemivariational inequality for the displacement, parabolic hemivariational inequality for the temperature and parabolic variational inequality for the damage. The existence of a unique weak solution is proved by using recent results from the theory of hemivariational inequalities, variational inequalities, and a fixed point argument.  相似文献

We consider an abstract class of variational–hemivariational inequalities which arise in the study of a large number of mathematical models of contact. The novelty consists in the structure of the inequalities which involve two history-dependent operators and two nondifferentiable functionals, a convex and a nonconvex one. For these inequalities we provide an existence and uniqueness result of the solution. The proof is based on arguments of surjectivity for pseudomonotone operators and fixed point. Then, we consider a viscoelastic problem in which the contact is frictionless and is modeled with a new boundary condition which describes both the instantaneous and the memory effects of the foundation. We prove that this problem leads to a history-dependent variational–hemivariational inequality in which the unknown is the displacement field. We apply our abstract result in order to prove the unique weak solvability of this viscoelastic contact problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a vector optimization problem involving approximately star-shaped functions. We formulate approximate vector variational inequalities in terms of Fréchet subdifferentials and solve the vector optimization problem. Under the assumptions of approximately straight functions, we establish necessary and sufficient conditions for a solution of approximate vector variational inequality to be an approximate efficient solution of the vector optimization problem. We also consider the corresponding weak versions of the approximate vector variational inequalities and establish various results for approximate weak efficient solutions.  相似文献

The present paper is divided into two parts. In the first part, we introduce implicit and explicit iterative schemes for finding the fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping defined on the closed convex subset of a real Hilbert space. We establish results on the strong convergence of the sequences generated by the proposed schemes to a fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping. Such a fixed point is also a solution of a variational inequality defined on the set of fixed points. In the second part, we propose implicit and explicit iterative schemes for finding the approximate minimizer of a constrained convex minimization problem and prove that the sequences generated by our schemes converge strongly to a solution of the constrained convex minimization problem. Such a solution is also a solution of a variational inequality defined over the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping. The results of this paper extend and improve several results presented in the literature in the recent past.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an extension of the notion of well-posedness by perturbations, introduced by Zolezzi for a minimization problem, to a mixed variational inequality problem in a Banach space. We establish some metric characterizations of the well-posedness by perturbations. We also show that under suitable conditions, the well-posedness by perturbations of a mixed variational inequality problem is equivalent to the well-posedness by perturbations of a corresponding inclusion problem and a corresponding fixed point problem. Also, we derive some conditions under which the well-posedness by perturbations of a mixed variational inequality is equivalent to the existence and uniqueness of its solution.  相似文献

We start with a mathematical model which describes the sliding contact of a viscoelastic body with a moving foundation. The contact is frictional and the wear of the contact surfaces is taken into account. We prove that this model leads to a differential variational inequality in which the unknowns are the displacement field and the wear function. Then, inspired by this model, we consider a general differential variational inequality in reflexive Banach spaces, governed by four parameters. We prove the unique solvability of the inequality as well as the continuous dependence of its solution with respect to the parameters. The proofs are based on arguments of monotonicity, compactness, convex analysis and lower semicontinuity. Then, we apply these abstract results to the mathematical model of contact for which we deduce the existence of a unique solution as well as the existence of optimal control for an associate optimal control problem. We also present the corresponding mechanical interpretations.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to investigate Levitin–polyak well-posedness by perturbations of the split variational inequality problem in reflexive Banach spaces. Furi-Vignoli-type characterizations are established for the well-posedness. We prove that the weak generalized Levitin–Polyak well-posedness by perturbations is equivalent to the nonemptiness and boundedness of the solution set of the problem. Finally, we discuss the relations between the Levitin–Polyak well-posedness by perturbations of the split variational inequality problem and the Levitin–Polyak well-posedness by perturbations of the split minimization problem when the split variational inequality problem arises from the split minimization problem.  相似文献

Vector complementarity and minimal element problems   总被引:13,自引:0,他引:13
In this paper, vector complementarity problems are introduced as weak versions of vector variational inequalities in ordered Banach spaces. New dual cones are introduced and proved to be closed. In the sense of efficient point, we prove that the minimal element problem is solvable if a vector variational inequality is solvable; we also prove that any solution of a strong vector variational inequality or positive vector complementarity problem is a solution of the minimal element problem. This work was done while the author was with the Chongqing Institute of Architecture and Engineering, Chongqing, P. In this paper, we suggest two new iterative methods for finding a common element of the solution set of a variational inequality problem and the set of fixed points of a contraction mapping in Hilbert space. We also present weak and strong convergence theorems for these new methods, provided that the fixed point mapping is a θ-strict pseudocontraction and the mapping associated with the variational inequality problem is monotone. The results presented in this paper improve and unify important recent results announced by many authors.  相似文献
