This paper presents a method of measuring a light field of a light source with high directional resolution using a mirrored ball and a pinhole camera. The light field describes a spatial and directional distribution of radiances from the light source. The directional distribution is expanded by a reflection on the mirrored ball, and the radiances are measured by a charge-coupled device (CCD) camera with a pinhole lens. The light source is laterally moved by a robot arm to measure the directionally expanded light field, and each pixel on a CCD can obtain the radiances from the light source through the pinhole lens with high directional resolution. The light field is estimated from the pixel value and the position of each pixel using a ray tracing technique. The light field of a krypton lamp was experimentally measured by the proposed method, and the accuracy of the measurement was evaluated against the irradiances measured by a spectro-radiometer at sample points.  相似文献

A numerical study was conducted to explore the mechanisms of detonation initiation in a stoichiometric hydrogen-air mixture resulting from the interaction between a Mach 2.8 shock and a perturbed material interface. The simulations used a high-order compressible numerical method for fluid dynamics with both detailed and simplified chemical-diffusive models. Three material interfaces were considered: no interface, a perturbed planar flame, and a perturbed helium interface. The case with no interface did not evolve into a detonation. The case with the flame produced a series of additional shock-flame and shock-shock interactions. The shock-shock interactions produced a series of contact surfaces and sliplines with increasing temperature. Hot spots eventually formed along these sliplines and a detonation was initiated shortly thereafter through a reactivity gradient mechanism. The overall process of detonation initiation was similar for both detailed and simplified chemical-diffusive models. Only the fine details, such as the precise time and location of the hot spots, were different. This indicates that simplified chemical-diffusive models are adequate to describe the initiation of detonations in the present configuration. The processes that ignited the detonation were also similar in the case where the flame was replaced with a helium interface. Helium has a similar acoustic impedance to the products and produced similar wave refraction patterns. Thus, the primary effect of the flame is to facilitate the shock-shock interactions that produce hot spots and initiate the detonation. The chemical energy released by the flame has a secondary influence.  相似文献

The characteristics of a nitrogen arc using a graphite cathode and a melting anode in a pilot-scale plasma furnace are investigated. The voltage is examined as a function of current and apparent plasma length. The voltage increases non-linearly with the increase of apparent plasma length, with the current fixed. The experimental data so obtained are compared with the predictions of the Bowman model for the electric arc, and with numerical simulations as well. The level of agreement between the experimental data at the melting anode and the numerical predictions confirms the suitability of the proposed the Bowman model. These characteristics are relevant to the engineering design and evaluation of a DC plasma furnace and reactor for the treatment of hazardous fly ash waste.  相似文献

A laser collimator is necessary for testing and verification of the pointing, acquisition and tracking (PAT) performance of inter-satellite laser communication terminals on the ground. The laser collimator must have a large clear aperture to fit the PAT performance testing system. The PAT subsystem has a large field of view for the acquisition and a high angular accuracy for the fine tracking. To resolve the conflict between large field of view and fine angular resolution, a large-aperture double-focus laser collimator is proposed and its optical design and mechanical structure are described. The collimator mainly consists of a primary lens, a reflector, a beam-splitting plate, a secondary lens, two compensating lenses, two imaging sensors and a laser. The primary lens directly forms the long focal length arm of the collimator. The combination of the primary lens and the secondary lens form the short focal length arm of the collimator. The collimator has an angular resolution <0.75 μrad and a 10 mrad field of view. For the collimator, the incident beam is focused on the two imaging sensors by its two arms, and the beam emitted from the laser is collimated and transmitted. The collimator is combined with an optical scanner and a fine beam deflector to test and verify the PAT performance of the inter-satellite laser communication terminal in a full physical manner.  相似文献

The optical speckle–displacement correlation technique (OSDCT) is proposed for study of in-plane speckle displacements. The joint transform correlator architecture is used to evaluate the displacements of speckle subimages of strained surfaces. The procedure of the correlation response producing as a result of cross-correlation of strainless and strained surfaces in a conventional joint transform correlator (JTC) is considered. The convenient techniques for a joint power spectrum transformation are selected. The systematic and random errors of a mean speckle pattern displacement of a rigid body motion calculated by using the OSDCT and the digital speckle–displacement measurement technique are compared. The robustness of some JTC versions (a conventional JTC, a JTC with median thresholding, a JTC with subset median thresholding, and a fringe adjusted filter JTC) to input noise of speckle patterns and output noise of a correlation response is studied.  相似文献

The measuring system of two-dimensional birefringence distribution with a polarization modulator and a rotating analyzer using a rotating analyzer method is presented. The system simply consists of a laser diode, two polarizers, two quarter wave plates and a CCD camera. Thanks to an imaging system, the mechanism to scan a sample is unnecessary and two-dimensional measurement is possible and easy. The birefringence of retardation and orientation of the optic axis can be determined by the azimuth angle of an elliptically polarized light passing through a sample. The azimuth angle is obtained by applying the phase shifting algorithm to measure the polarization properties; by improving the calculation algorithm, wide range measurement is accomplished. 针对二极管激光器叠阵的高效散热冷却开展了研究,设计了基于R134a制冷剂的相变冷却系统和以节流式微通道相变冷却方式工作的冷却器,完成了脉冲功率3 kW叠阵的封装,并分析了制冷剂在热沉进出口的温度对叠阵出光波长的影响。实验测试结果表明:在20%的高占空比下,电流197 A时叠阵的输出功率达到3 030 W,插座效率为39%,光谱宽度小于3.8 nm,冷却器内R134a的气化率约为50%。制冷剂R134a的流量为0.60 L/min,仅为水系统的1/5,大幅减小了冷却液流量和热管理系统的体积。  相似文献

A hybrid opto-electronic correlator for detecting defects in optical fibers is proposed. After the light from a He-Ne laser being expanded and filtered it is not collimated but directly passes a Fourier transform lens and illuminates a reference fiber and a test fiber at the same input plane. The Fourier transform spectrum of the two fibers is therefore obtained at the rear focal plane of the lens, where it is sampled via a CCD array connected with a computer through a frame grabber. The computer performs filter, inverse Fourier transform and setting threshold operation on classification. The system is an equivalent of joint transform correlator with a Fourier lens of long focal length. The experiment results for optical fibers having incoordinate defects are presented. The results indicate that the system can be used for fiber defect detection, and has the advantages of high identification, compact configuration, easy adjustment and flexible manipulation.  相似文献

A compact beam-shaping device with a reflective aspherical surface is proposed. The device converts a circular symmetric Gaussian beam from a laser into a uniform distribution on a target plane. The device consists of a laser, a reflective aspherical surface formed on the base plane inclined by 45° against the optical axis, and a spacer. The surface is designed for an optical device used as a transmitter of indoor wireless optical communication, which is one of the promising applications. The designed surface is obtained by approximation using polynomial. Beam shaping of a simulated surface and a uniform intensity distribution on the target plane is obtained. The intensity distribution generated by the surface is numerically simulated and evaluated if the surface is misaligned. It is clarified that the generated distribution is tolerable for the misalignment.  相似文献

A simple process flow method for the fabrication of poly-Si nanowire thin film transistors(NW-TFTs) without advanced lithographic tools is introduced in this paper.The cross section of the nanowire channel was manipulated to have a parallelogram shape by combining a two-step etching process and a spacer formation technique.The electrical and temperature characteristics of the developed NW-TFTs are measured in detail and compared with those of conventional planar TFTs(used as a control).The as-demonstrated NW-TFT exhibits a small subthreshold swing(191 mV/dec),a high ON/OFF ratio(8.5 × 10~7),alow threshold voltage(1.12 V),a decreased OFF-state current,and a low drain-induced-barrier lowering value(70.11 mV/V).The effective trap densities both at the interface and grain boundaries are also significantly reduced in the NW-TFT.The results show that all improvements of the NW-TFT originate from the enhanced gate controllability of the multi-gate over the channel.  相似文献

采用分子动力学方法研究了钛金属表面下不同深度处氦泡的行为,分析了氦泡融合与释放的竞争,对比了不同深度处氦泡的释放对金属的影响。结果表明:在接近金属表面处,氦泡很难通过融合无限长大,当达到临界尺寸后,氦泡将会释放而不再与邻近的氦泡发生融合;植入深度对氦泡的融合有一定的影响,深度越大,越有利于形成具有较高氦密度的大氦泡;较深处氦泡的释放会在金属表面形成较大的突起和表面针孔。实验中观察到的不同尺寸的表面孔,其部分原因来自于金属表面下不同深度处氦泡的释放。  相似文献

Light scattering from particulate medium is simulated using the Monte Carlo ray-tracing technique. The medium is modelled as a randomly packed medium of ellipsoidal grains with stochastically rough surfaces, with an optional thin coating. Optical properties are modelled using a wavelength-dependent complex refractive index and taking Fresnelian reflections and refractions from the interfaces. The size and shape of the grains are assumed to be large and smooth enough for geometric optics to apply reasonably well.The ray-tracing technique uses parallel, weighted rays for computing simultaneously over a wide wavelength spectrum and a small roughness range, and scaling to obtain a large range of sizes and absorbities simultaneously. Polarisation is fully accounted for. The multiobservation technique is effectively used at each scattering point. The scattering from thinner sample layers is also received as a subresult.Simulations are run for a set of model samples to study the effects and sensitivities regarding the values of certain parameters. It has been found that the size and composition of the grains affect the scattering in a unique and invertible way. The shape of the grain causes similar significant effects that must certainly be taken into account if any accuracy is required, although inverting for the shape is difficult without further constraints. The packing density has a small but observable effect. Polarisation can be used to study the composition of low-albedo objects.  相似文献

In this paper, a practical structured light-based system for fast object modeling and reconstruction is reported. The system consists of an off-the-shelf digital projector, a video camera and a turntable. The system calibration is implemented accurately and automatically by taking a single image of an illuminated calibration template. The multiple color light stripes emitted by the projector adopt only three colors and the color can be modified easily according to the surface texture of the object. This makes the system widely applicable in many situations, and the assumption about color neutrality, which is a limitation to other similar systems, can be largely relaxed. The registration and merging algorithm is greatly simplified by employing a turntable. The validity and high accuracy of the method are demonstrated by extensive real experiments.  相似文献

The Ising model on a Union-Jack lattice, described by a Hamiltonian with second-neighbor pair-pair, four-spin, infinite-range interactions is considered. The model is solved exactly and the results are compared with MFA predictions. Within the exact treatment two new classes of phase transitions are obtained. The first one includes transitions from a disordered to a metastable, ordered and then to a stable and ordered phase with decreasing temperature. The metastable phase does not appear if the temperature is increased. The second one contains transitions between ordered and partialy ordered, partialy frustrated phases.  相似文献

The ground and excited states of a donor impurity at the center of a spherical quantum dot subject to a magnetic field are calculated within the effective-mass approximation. The barriers are infinitely high and the differential equation is solved by combining the finite-difference method with the Richardson extrapolation. The binding and transition energies are more accurate than the available variational values, and excellent agreement is found with the hydrogen atom. The present study proposes a transient model of the acoustic radiation of axisymmetric structures. The pressure field is approximated by the Rayleigh integral corresponding to a monopole source distribution over the non-planar vibrating surface. The displacement field is expanded on the linear modes of the structure and a change of variables in the Rayleigh integral is then proposed in the case of a monotonic profile function to compute the Spatial Impulse Response associated to each mode of vibration efficiently. The results are compared to the formulation obtained in the case of planar and spherical sources. The method of calculation is then derived in the case of a typical loudspeaker profile (association of a truncated cone with a spherical cap). Finally, the present approach is used to estimate the nonlinear radiation pattern of a prototype loudspeaker and predictions are compared to measurements in anechoic room.  相似文献

The subgrid-scale dynamics of stratified flows is studied in a horizontally introduced turbulent jet with coexistence of stable and unstable stratification of a low Richardson number case and a high Richardson number case. The positive production of subgrid-scale kinetic energy and the production of scalar variance suggest the forward energy cascade. The subgrid-scale buoyant destruction plays a role as a sink of subgrid-scale kinetic energy in the stable stratification while holds a role of turbulent generation in the unstable stratification. The role-switch of buoyant destruction in the stable stratification of high-Ri case implies the occurrence of a destabilising process triggered by the coupled instability mechanisms. The energy balance assumption related to the production of and the dissipation of subgrid-scale kinetic energy as well as the subgrid-scale buoyant destruction may fail. The a-priori test suggests the scale-invariant dynamic and standard Smagorinsky models not to work properly here, while the scale-dependent dynamic model gives a decent performance but with restrictions of the ratio between two testing filter scales.  相似文献
