In this paper we define partially ordered quasi-uniform spaces (X, , ≤) (PO-quasi-uniform spaces) as those space with a biconvex quasi-uniformity on the poset (X, ≤) and give a construction of a (transitive) biconvex compatible quasi-uniformity on a partially ordered topological space when its topology satisfies certain natural conditions. We also show that under certain conditions on the topology of a PO-quasi-uniform space (X, , ≤), the bicompletion of (X, ) is also a PO-quasi-uniform space ( , ⪯) with a partial order ⪯ on that extends ≤ in a natural way.   相似文献

A SIMPLIFIED BRAUER'S THEOREM ON MATRIX EIGENVALUES   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Let A=(a ij)∈C n×n and . Suppose that for each row of A there is at least one nonzero off-diagonal entry. It is proved that all eigenvalues of A are contained in . The result reduces the number of ovals in original Brauer’s theorem in many cases. Eigenvalues (and associated eigenvectors) that locate in the boundary of are discussed. Let ℂ denote the complex numbers and denote the ring of complex-valued Laurent polynomial functions on ℂ\{0}. Furthermore, we denote by the subsets of Laurent polynomials whose restriction to the unit circle is real, nonnegative, respectively. We prove that for any two Laurent polynomials , which have no common zeros in ℂ\{0} there exists a pair of Laurent polynomials satisfying the equation Q 1 P 1 + Q 2 P 2 = 1. We provide some information about the minimal length Laurent polynomials Q 1 and Q 2 with these properties and describe an algorithm to compute them. We apply this result to design a conjugate quadrature filter whose zeros contain an arbitrary finite subset Λ⊂ℂ\{0} with the property that for every implies and . Pairs B, of divergence-free vector fields with compact support in are considered higher-order analog M(B, c (of order 3) of the Gauss helicity number H(B, )= , curl(A)=B; (of order 1) is constructed, which is invariant under volume-preserving diffeomorphisms. An integral expression for M is given. A degree-four polynomial m(B(x1), B(x2), ( 1), ( 2)), x1, x2, 1 2 , is defined, which is symmetric in the first and second pairs of variables separately. M is the average value of m over arbitrary configurations of points. Several conjectures clarifying the geometric meaning of the invariant and relating it to invariants of knots and links are stated. Let G be the Banach-Lie group of all holomorphic automorphisms of the open unit ball in a J*-algebra of operators. Let be the family of all collectively compact subsets W contained in . We show that the subgroup FG of all those gG that preserve the family is a closed Lie subgroup of G and characterize its Banach-Lie algebra. We make a detailed study of F when is a Cartan factor.   相似文献

Given a unital C*-algebra and a right C*-module over , we consider the problem of finding short smooth curves in the sphere = {x ∈ : 〈x, x〉 = 1}. Curves in are measured considering the Finsler metric which consists of the norm of at each tangent space of . The initial value problem is solved, for the case when is a von Neumann algebra and is selfdual: for any element x 0 ∈ and any tangent vector ν at x 0, there exists a curve γ(t) = e tZ (x 0), Z ∈ , Z* = −Z and ∥Z∥ ≤ π, such that γ(0) = x 0 and (0) = ν, which is minimizing along its path for t ∈ [0, 1]. The existence of such Z is linked to the extension problem of selfadjoint operators. Such minimal curves need not be unique. Also we consider the boundary value problem: given x 0, x 1 ∈ , find a curve of minimal length which joins them. We give several partial answers to this question. For instance, let us denote by f 0 the selfadjoint projection Ix 0x 0, if the algebra f 0 f 0 is finite dimensional, then there exists a curve γ joining x 0 and x 1, which is minimizing along its path.   相似文献

Let ξ(t), t ∈ [0, 1], be a strictly stable process with an index of stability α ∈ (0, 2). By we denote the law of ξ in the Skorokhod space [0,1]. For arbitrary strictly stable process ξ, we construct a semigroup of transformations of [0, 1] for which the measure is quasi-invariant. For strictly stable processes with positive and negative jumps, we construct a group of transformations of [0, 1] for which the measure is quasi-invariant. In the symmetric case, this group is a group of invariant transformations. Bibliography: 10 titles. __________ Translated from Zapiski Nauchnykh Seminarov POMI, Vol. 339, 2006, pp. 135–149.  相似文献

In the paper isometries in pseudo MV-algebras are investigated. It is shown that for every isometry f in a pseudo MV-algebra = (A, ⊕, , , 0, 1) there exists an internal direct decomposition of with commutative such that and for each xA. On the other hand, if is an internal direct decomposition of a pseudo MV-algebra = (A, ⊕, , , 0, 1) with commutative, then the mapping g: AA defined by is an isometry in and .   相似文献

Furstenberg family and chaos   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
A Furstenberg family F is a family, consisting of some subsets of the set of positive integers, which is hereditary upwards,i.e.A■B and A∈F imply B∈F.For a given system (i.e.,a pair of a complete metric space and a continuous self-map of the space) and for a Furstenberg family F, the definition of F-scrambled pairs of points in the space has been given, which brings the well-known scrambled pairs in Li-Yorke sense and the scrambled pairs in distribution sense to be F-scrambled pairs corresponding respectively to suitable Furstenberg family F.In the present paper we explore the basic properties of the set of F-scrambled pairs of a system. The generically F-chaotic system and the generically strongly F-chaotic system are defined.A criterion for a generically strongly F-chaotic system is showed.  相似文献

Let ∑ be either an oriented hyperplane or the unit sphere in , let be open and connected and let be an open and connected domain in such that . If in is a null solution of the Dirac operator (also called a monogenic function in ) which is continuously extendable to , then conditions upon are given enabling the monogenic extension of across . In such a way Schwarz reflection type principles for monogenic functions are established in the Spin (1) and Spin cases. The Spin (1) case includes the classical Schwarz reflection principle for holomorphic functions in the plane. The Spin case deals with so-called “half boundary value problems” for the Dirac operator. Assume thatX is a finite union of closed intervals and consider aC 1-mapX→ℝ for which {c∈X: T′c=0} is finite. Set . Fix ann ∈ ℕ. For ε>0, theC 1-map is called an ε-perturbation ofT if is a piecewise monotonic map with at mostn intervals of monotonicity and is ε-close toT in theC 1-topology. The influence of small perturbations ofT on the dynamical system (R(T),T) is investigated. Under a certain condition on the continuous functionf:X → ℝ, the topological pressure is lower semi-continuous. Furthermore, the topological pressure is upper semi-continuous for every continuous functionf:X → ℝ. If (R(T),T) has positive topological entropy and a unique measure μ of maximal entropy, then every sufficiently small perturbation ofT has a unique measure of maximal entropy, and the map is continuous atT in the weak star-topology.  相似文献

Denseness of holomorphic functions attaining their numerical radii   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
For two complex Banach spaces X and Y, (B X; Y) will denote the space of bounded and continuous functions from B X to Y that are holomorphic on the open unit ball. The numerical radius of an element h in (B X; X) is the supremum of the set
. We prove that every complex Banach space X with the Radon-Nikodym property satisfies that the subset of numerical radius attaining functions in (B X; X) is dense in (B X; X). We also show the denseness of the numerical radius attaining elements of in the whole space, where is the subset of functions in which are uniformly continuous on the unit ball. For C(K) we prove a denseness result for the subset of the functions in (B C(K); C(K)) which are weakly uniformly continuous on the closed unit ball. For a certain sequence space X, there is a 2-homogenous polynomial P from X to X such that for every R > e, P cannot be approximated by bounded and numerical radius attaining holomorphic functions defined on RB X . If Y satisfies some isometric conditions and X is such that the subset of norm attaining functions of (B X; ℂ) is dense in (B X; ℂ), then the subset of norm attaining functions in (B X; Y) is dense in the whole space. Let Z/(pe) be the integer residue ring modulo pe with p an odd prime and integer e ≥ 3. For a sequence (a) over Z/(pe), there is a unique p-adic decomposition (a) = (a)0 (a)1·p … (a)e-1 ·pe-1, where each (a)i can be regarded as a sequence over Z/(p), 0 ≤ i ≤ e - 1. Let f(x) be a primitive polynomial over Z/(pe) and G' (f(x), pe) the set of all primitive sequences generated by f(x) over Z/(pe). For μ(x) ∈ Z/(p)[x] with deg(μ(x)) ≥ 2 and gcd(1 deg(μ(x)),p- 1) = 1,set ψe-1 (x0, x1,…, xe-1) = xe-1·[ μ(xe-2) ηe-3 (x0, x1,…, xe-3)] ηe-2 (x0, x1,…, xe-2),which is a function of e variables over Z/(p). Then the compressing map ψe-1: G'(f(x),pe) → (Z/(p))∞,(a) (→)ψe-1((a)0, (a)1,… ,(a)e-1) is injective. That is, for (a), (b) ∈ G' (f(x), pe), (a) = (b) if and only if ψe - 1 ((a)0, (a)1,… , (a)e - 1) =ψe - 1 ((b)0,(b)1,… ,(b)e-1). As for the case of e = 2, similar result is also given. Furthermore, if functions ψe-1 and ψe-1 over Z/(p) are both of the above form and satisfy ψe-1((a)0,(a)1,… ,(a)e-1) = ψe-1((b)0,(b)1,… ,(b)e-1) for (a),(b) ∈ G'(f(x),pe), the relations between (a) and (b), ψe-1 and ψe-1 are discussed.  相似文献
