We report results on event-by-event fluctuations of transverse momentum, Phi(p(t)), in pi(+)p and K(+)p collisions at 250 GeV/c. For the first time, their dependence on rapidity region, transverse momentum acceptance, multiplicity, mean transverse momentum per event, and on the correlation between transverse momentum and multiplicity are systematically presented. The results are compared with those from the PYTHIA Monte Carlo generator. The fluctuations under the same acceptance cuts as used in current heavy-ion experiments are also presented.  相似文献

Electron momentum distribution in copper is studied through the angular correlation of positron annihilation radiation, by employing self-consistent linear combination of Gaussian orbitals band structure method. The two-photon momentum density is presented and analysed through three dimensional plots and angular momentum decomposed contributions. Calculation of two-dimensional angular correlation has been carried out in the independent particle approximation. The results for the analysis using Lock, Crisp and West theorem and the reciprocal form factors are also presented. The present theoretical results are compared with the experimental ones wherever possible, and the agreement in general, is good.  相似文献

提出一种直接测量光束的轨道角动量的方法,其原理是把具有轨道角动量的光束照射到一个金属靶上,使其在光束的角动量作用下发生转动. 通过测量靶转动的角度来计算光束的角动量值. 对几种不同参数的光束的轨道角动量进行了测量,获得了轨道角动量与光束参数之间的关系,实验结果与理论分析较好地符合. 关键词: 复杂像散椭圆光束 轨道角动量 测量  相似文献

考虑角动量相关性的情况下计算了超重核259Db的裂变位垒Bf.计算了258Rf,259Db,266Hs和267Mt 4个超重核单中子蒸发的存活概率Wsur及其随角动量分波的变化关系.给出了中子蒸发宽度、裂变宽度和超重核蒸发一个中子的概率对激发能与角动量分波的依赖关系. Considering the dependence on angular momentum, the fission barriers of super heavy nuclei 259Db have been calculated. The survival probability for 258Rf, 259Db,266Hs,267Mt compound and its relation with angular momentum have been estimated. The neutron emission width, the fission width and the realization probability for one neutron emission and their relation with excitation energy and angular momentum are also presented.  相似文献

QCD predictions on the transverse momentum of charmed quarks produced in neutrino production are presented and contrasted to similar predictions of the transverse momentum of jets in electroproduction. A theoretical analysis is presented of the change in the momentum of a three-level atom due to its interaction with counterpropagating laser pulses that overlap in time. The two lower energy states of the atom are metastable; i.e., a lambda-type configuration of atomic levels is considered. The cases of two and four counterpropagating pulses having different carrier frequencies are considered. In the case of adiabatic atom-field interaction, it is shown that the atom’s momentum can change by an integer multiple of the photon momentum and the corresponding standard deviation is small as compared to the photon momentum squared.  相似文献

The renormalization of a scalar field theory with a quartic self-coupling via adiabatic regularization in a Robertson-Walker spacetime is discussed. The adiabatic counterterms are presented in a way that is most conducive to numerical computations. A variation of the adiabatic regularization method is presented which leads to analytic approximations for the energy–momentum tensor of the quantum field and the quantum contribution to the effective mass of the mean field. Conservation of the energy–momentum tensor for the field is discussed and it is shown that the part of the energy–momentum tensor which depends only on the mean field is not conserved but the full renormalized energy–momentum tensor is conserved, as expected and required by the semiclassical Einstein's equation. It is also shown that if the analytic approximations are used the resulting approximate energy–momentum tensor is conserved. This allows a self-consistent backreaction calculation to be performed using the analytic approximations. The usefulness of the approximations is discussed.  相似文献

A momentum transfer equation previously used to describe non-elastic deformation in crystalline solids represented by point masses at fixed lattice positions is extended to take into account the existence of intrinsic (e.g. thermal) small amplitude vibrations of the masses about their mean positions in a lattice. Use of the time-dependent Schroedinger equation to describe momentum transfer and deformation is also discussed in terms of this vibrating point-mass lattice model. The result is that a modified and identical differential equation for momentum transfer is obtained from each approach; some solutions to this equation are presented. The previous particle momentum wave frequency dependence on wave vector and resulting applications to non-elastic deformation are unchanged, but these particle momentum waves can now be considered as modulating the usual high-frequency waves associated with the elastic modes of a crystalline solid.  相似文献
