We investigate the stability and phase transition of localized modes in Bose–Einstein Condensates (BECs) in an optical lattice with the discrete nonlinear Schrödinger model by considering both two- and three-body interactions. We find that there are three types of localized modes, bright discrete breather (DB), discrete kink (DK), and multi-breather (MUB). Moreover, both two- and three-body on-site repulsive interactions can stabilize DB, while on-site attractive three-body interactions destabilize it. There is a critical value for the three-body interaction with which both DK and MUB become the most stable ones. We give analytically the energy thresholds for the destabilization of localized states and find that they are unstable (stable) when the total energy of the system is higher (lower) than the thresholds. The stability and dynamics characters of DB and MUB are general for extended lattice systems. Our result is useful for the blocking, filtering, and transfer of the norm in nonlinear lattices for BECs with both two- and three-body interactions.  相似文献

The four-body Yakubovsky equations in a three-dimensional approach with the inclusion of the three-body forces are proposed. The four-body bound state with two- and three-body interactions is formulated in the three-dimensional approach for identical particles as a function of vector Jacobi momenta, specifically, the magnitudes of the momenta and the angles between them. The modified three-dimensional Yakubovsky integral equations are successfully solved with the scalar two-meson exchange three-body force, where the Malfliet-Tjon-type two-body force is implemented. The three-body force effects on the energy eigenvalue and the four-body wave function, as well as accuracy of our numerical calculations are presented.  相似文献

The neutron-halo nuclei, 11Li, 14Be, and 17B, are studied in the three-body model. The Yukawa interaction is used to describe the interaction of the two-body subsystem. For given parameters of the two-body interaction, the properties of these neutron-halo nuclei are calculated with the Faddeev equations and the results are compared with those in the variational method. It is shown that the method of the Faddeev equations is more accurate. Then the dependencies of the two- and three-body energies on the parameters are studied. We find numerically that two- and three-body correlations differ greatly from each other with the variation of the intrinsic force range.  相似文献

We investigated the ground state of spin-1 bosons interacting under local two- and three-body interactions in one dimension by means of the density matrix renormalization group method. We found that the even–odd asymmetry will be obtained or not depending on the relative values of the two- and three-body interactions. The Mott insulator lobes are spin isotropic, the first showing a dimerized pattern and the second being composed of singlets. The three-body interactions disfavor a longitudinal polar superfluid and a quantum phase transition to a transverse polar superfluid occurs, which could be continuous or discontinuous.  相似文献

The transition temperature, the depletion of the condensate atoms and the collective excitations of a Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) with two- and three-body interactions in an anharmonic trap at finite temperature are studied in detail. By using the Popov version of the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) approximation, an extended self-consistent model describing BEC with both two- and three-body interactions in a distorted harmonic potential at finite temperature is obtained and solved numerically. The results show that the transition temperature, the condensed atom number and the collective excitations are modified dramatically by the atomic three-body interactions and the distortion of the harmonic trap.  相似文献

The parametric modulational instability for a discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a cubic-quintic nonlinearity is analyzed. This model describes the dynamics of BECs, with both two- and three-body interatomic interactions trapped in an optical lattice. We identify and discuss the salient features of the three-body interaction in the parametric modulational instability. It is shown that the three-body interaction term can both, shift as well as narrow the window of parametric instability, and also change the behavior of a modulationally stable and parametrically unstable BEC with attractive two-body interaction. We explore this instability through the multiple-scale analysis and identify it numerically. The effect of the three body losses have also been investigated.  相似文献

运用多体展开理论和量子化学方法—–超分子单、双(三重)激发微扰处理耦合簇CCSD(T)方法,首次系统地计算了面心立方固氪在较宽(从晶格平衡位置到体积压缩率超过3倍)区间的两体、三体和四体相互作用对结合能和物态方程的贡献大小,包括Hartree-Fock自洽场项和范德瓦耳斯长程关联作用项;并与实验数据进行比较.结果表明,在考虑到两体、三体、四体相互作用能后,多体展开理论以及CCSD(T)方法对平衡位置结合能测量数据0—130 GPa整个研究区间的实验物态方程数据都做出令人满意的描述.  相似文献

We derive the explicit three-body contact potential for a dilute condensed Bose gas from microscopic theory. The three-body coupling constant exhibits the general form predicted by Wu [Phys. Rev. 115, 1390 (1959)]] and is determined in terms of the amplitudes of two- and three-body collisions in vacuum. In the present form, the coupling constant becomes accessible to quantitative studies which should provide the crucial link between few-body collisions and the stability of condensates with attractive two-body forces.  相似文献

使用多重尺度法,解析地研究计及粒子间两体和三体同时作用下二维凝聚体中孤子的特性. 结果发现,当凝聚体粒子间两体作用为排斥、三体作用为吸引时,凝聚体内会产生暗孤子环,且随着三体吸引作用的减弱,暗孤子环中心峰的高度逐渐降低,并当三体吸引作用消失时暗孤子环演化为一个完美的二维暗孤子. 当两体和三体作用均为排斥时,凝聚体中的暗孤子的宽度和幅度随着三体排斥作用的加强而减小,且当三体作用强度增加到与两体作用同一数量级时,凝聚体产生坍塌现象. 关键词: 玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体 两体和三体作用 暗孤子  相似文献

We report on recent progress of the implementation of the similarity renormalization group (SRG) for three-body interactions in a one-dimensional, bosonic model system using the plane-wave basis. We discuss our implementation of the flow equations and show results that confirm that results in the three-body sector remain unchanged by the transformation of the Hamiltonian. We also show how the SRG transformation decouples low- from high-momentum nodes in the three-body sector and therefore simplifies the numerical calculation of observables.  相似文献

We investigate the nonlinear Landau-Zener tunnelling of Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) in an accelerating optical lattice with two- and three-body interactions between the particles. The influence of the three-body interaction on the eigenstates and the transition probability are discussed both anaJytically and numerically. The analytical eigenstates and the tunnelling probability are obtained, which are verified by numerical methods. It is shown that the eigenstates and the tunnelling probability are modified dramatically by three-body interaction.  相似文献

The collective excitations of low-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensates with two- and three-body interactions in anharmonic potentials are investigated. Using the standard variational approach, the governing equations of motions for the low-energy excitations are obtained by solving time-dependent Gross-Pitaevskii-Ginzburg equation, and the excitation spectrums are calculated in small amplitude limit. The frequency shift and nonlinear mode coupling induced by the anharmonic distortion (adding cubic, quartic, or quintic term to a harmonic trap) are studied.  相似文献

An approach is proposed which makes it possible to obtain the Hilbert-Schmidt (or Sturm-Liouville) eigenvalue and eigenfunctions for two- or three-body systems over the entire domain of analyticity of these functions in energy on the basis of calculations of bound states only. We present a method to calculate two- and three-body amplitudes including the Coulomb potential in a momentum space. Our aim is to obtain the exact two-body Coulomb amplitudes used in three-body calculations, which reproduce the analytic phase shifts. For the purpose, our theory is based on the modified Coulomb potential (MCP) whose Fourier transformation is equivalent to the pure Coulomb potential in a configuration space, and the two-potential theory with an auxiliary potential. Moreover, one can analytically determine a decisive range R dec in the MCP. By using the MCP, we obtain the two-body Coulomb modified nuclear amplitude as well as the pure Coulomb amplitude. The calculated phase shift are very good fitting with the experimental data.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate a variationally stable procedure for multipolar dynamic polarizabilities calculation as well as the two- and three-body van der Waals coefficients of the hydrogen atom. This approach provides precise, fast convergent values for real and imaginary frequency-dependent 2 L -pole dynamic polarizabilities. Highly accurate two- and three-body van der Waals dispersion coefficients are calculated from dynamic polarizabilities at imaginary photon frequencies. The present approach is also precise for higher interaction orders. The results are compared with previous calculations found in the literature.  相似文献
