The electrical conductivity of sintered specimens of nonstoichiometric CeO2?x was measured as a function of temperature (750–1500°C) and oxygen pressure (1–10?22 atm). The isothermal compositional dependence of the electrical conductivity of CeO2?x was determined by combining recently obtained thermodynamic data, x = x(PO2, T), with the conductivity data. The compositional and temperature dependence of the electrical conductivity may be represented by the expression

over the temperature range 750–1500°C and from x = 0.001 to x = 0.1.This expression was rationalized in terms of the following simple relations for (a) the electron carrier concentration

The mutual solubilities of {xCH3CH2CH2CH2OH+(1-x)H2O} have been determined over the temperature range 302.95 to 397.75 K at pressures up to 2450 atm. An increase in temperature and pressure results in a contraction of the immiscibility region. The results obtained for the critical solution properties are: To(U.C.S.T.) = 397.85 K and xo = 0.110 at 1 atm; (dTodp) = ?(12.0±0.5)×10?3K atm?1 at p < 400 atm and (dTodp) = ?(7.0±0.7)×10?3K atm?1 at 800 atm < p < 2500 atm; (dxodT) = ?(4.0±0.5)×10?4K?1.  相似文献

The reaction of 4-chloro- and 4-chloro-7-deuteriobenzofurazan with MeS-, isopropyl-S-, and t-Butyl-S- in different alcohols as solvents has been investigated. In going from methanol through isopropanol to t-butanol, a progressive decrease of the contribution of the cine-substitution as compared with the normal substitution pathway has been found. By proceeding in the same order, a decrease of the ratio kMeS?kisopropylS? and kMeS?kt-ButylS? has also been observed.  相似文献

The theta temperature for the system poly(o-chlorostyrene)-methyl ethyl ketone has been determined as 24·5°. The samples used in the determination were prepared by radical polymerization. The dependence of intrinsic viscosity on molecular weight has been measured in methyl ethyl ketone at 24·5° and found to be ηθ = 4·68 × 10?4MwM12. The ratio 〈s=2〉/M was found, by light scattering, to be 5·60 × 10?18 cm2. Analysis of the solution properties indicates that the Kurata-Yamakawa theory is valid in the vicinity of the Flory temperature (UCST).  相似文献

The study of K2NiF4 and perovskite structure type by the “method of invariants” leads to the relationship: (A-X)9 212 ? (A-X)12 = constant, where (A-X)9 and (A-X)12 are the invariant values associated with cation A in coordination number 9 and 12. In the case where A = K+ and X = F?, we propose the relationship:

The tracer diffusion coefficient, D1O, of oxide ions in LaCoO3 single crystal was determined over the temperature range of 700–1000°C by a gas-solid isotopic exchange technique using 18O tracer. For the determination, two methods, the gas phase analysis and the depth profile measurement, were employed. Under an oxygen pressure of 34 Torr, the temperature dependence of D1O in LaCoO3 was expressed by
D1O(cm2·sec?1) = 3.63 × 104exp? (74 ± 5)kcal · mole?1RT
D1O at 950°C was found to be proportional to P?0.35O2. The diffusion of oxide ions occurs through a vacancy mechanism. The activation energy for the migration of oxide ion vacancies was estimated as 18 kcal · mole?1.  相似文献

The solubility parameter of poly(hexamethylene oxide) has been estimated by measuring solution viscosities and by turbidimetric titrations in a series of solvents. From both experimental methods, a value of δp = 33.9 J12cm?32 (8.1 cal12cm?32) was obtained, whence the cohesive energy density is 274.5 J cm?3 (65.6 cal cm?3). These experimental values are compared with those calculated by empirical methods.  相似文献

The heat capacity of the solid solution Mn3.2Ga0.8N was measured between 5 to 330 K by adiabatic calorimetry. A sharp anomaly with first-order character was detected at TA = (160.5±0.5) K, corresponding to a magnetic rearrangement and a lattice expansion. No sharp anomaly was observed at Tc ≈ 260 K where the magnetic ordering takes place; instead, a smooth shoulder was detected. The thermodynamic functions at 298.15 K are Cp,mR = 15.16, SmoR = 18.57, {Hmo(T)?Hmo(0)}R = 2896 K, ?{Gmo(T)?Hmo(0)}RT = 8.85. At low temperatures the coefficient for the linear electronic contribution to the heat capacity was derived: γ = (0.031±0.003) J·K?2·mol?1. Moreover, the different contributions to the heat capacity were obtained and the electronic origin of the phase transitions was established.  相似文献

A reassessment of the dilute solution behaviour of amylose acetate in nitromethane has been made, using linear fractions encompassing the low molecular weight region. The temperature dependence of the limiting viscosity number [η] has been measured and is found to be negative. Mark-Houwink relations have been established at 298° K and 303° K and the unperturbed dimensions have been calculated giving (〈r20M)12 = 589 × 10?11cm at 298°K. The similarities and differences between our data and those of Banks and Greenwood are discussed. The results support the idea that amylose acetate is a stiff coil in good solvents.  相似文献

The electrical conductivity of polycrystalline strontium titanate with (SrTi = 0.996, 0.99, and 0.98 was determined for the oxygen partial pressure range of 100 to 10?22 atm and the temperature range of 850–1050°C. These data were found to be similar to that obtained for the sample with ideal cationic ratio. The observed data were proportional to the ?16 power of oxygen partial pressure for PO2 < 10?15atm, proportional to P?14O2 for the pressure range 10?8–10?15 atm, and proportional to P+14O2 for PO2 > 10?4atm. The deviation from the ideal Sr-to-Ti ratio was found to be accommodated by neutral vacancy pairs, (V″Sr V″0. The results indicate that the single-phase field of strontium titanate extends beyond 50.505 mole% TiO2 at elevated temperatures.  相似文献

Excess volumes and ultrasonic speeds have been measured for (2-ethoxyethanol + n-heptane) at 298.15 K. Isentropic compressibilities, excess isentropic compressibilities, and the partial molar excess quantities KS, iE = ?(?ViE?p)S were calculated from the results. The excess volume is positive over the entire mole-fraction range, whereas the curves for the excess isentropic compressibility is sigmoid with negative values occurring at mole fractions of 2-ethoxyethanol greater than 0.35. A qualitatitive interpretation of the results is presented.  相似文献

Single crystals of PdPSe were shown to be n-type semiconductors. Weak Pauli paramagnetic behavior was observed, which is consistent with the presence of delocalized electrons. Electrical measurements showed a room-temperature resistivity ? = 70 ohm-cm, activation energy of resistivity Ea = 0.32 eV, and Hall mobility μ = 34 cm2 V?1 sec?1. Photoelectronic measurements in aqueous solutions of I?I?3 indicate that PdPSe has high quantum efficiencies below 800 nm. The indirect optical band gap is 1.28(2) eV.  相似文献

A model theory of viscosity η for moderately concentrated polymer solutions is based on the assumption of a “local viscosity” effect and intermolecular hydrodynamic and thermodynamic interactions. It is shown that η is given by

where γ is 0–0.4 and depends on the quality of the solvent, a varies between 0,4 and 0.8 and depends on the fraction of the “free volume” of the systems, H0 is the activation energy of the solvent and π is the polymer volume concentration. The dependence of η and “activation energy” of π and T for various molecular weights and qualities of solvents is described quantitatively. Anomalous dependences of [η] and of η on M for low polymer are obtained. An expression for η is proposed:

where K is the Huggins-Martin coefficient and F(π) = 1 for most solutions when T is > Tg. For poor solvents the H vs c curve (where H is the activation energy of η of solution) has a minimum value at moderate concentrations. For good solvents, H depends slightly on the molecular weight according to an empirical equation:

Ultrasonic speeds were determined for binary mixtures of 2-methylpentan-1-ol with n-hexane and each of its four isomers. Measurements were made over the whole mole-fraction range with particular attention given to the region of high dilution with respect to the alcohol. The results were combined with excess molar volumes reported previously to obtain values of the excess molar quantity KS,mE = ?(?VmE?p)s and the corresponding partial molar derivatives.  相似文献

The kinetics of the homopolymerizations of styrene, N-(3-dimethylaminophenyl) maleimide (I) and N-(3-dimethylamino-6-methylphenyl) maleimide (II) in benzene and dimethylformamide, and the molecular weights of the polymers were studied. N-(3-Dimethylaminophenyl) succinimide, regarded as a model for polymer I, did not affect the polymerization of styrene. The data indicate degradative transfer of polymer radicals to dimethylformamide and pronounced transfer to monomers I and II (CM ≈ 0.06–0.07). The value of kp/kt12 for II is 0.09 dm32mole?12s?12.  相似文献

Paramagnetic resonance and magnetic measurements were performed on powdered samples of GdGa2. The magnetic data indicated ferrimagnetic behavior with Tc ? 181° K. Above 250° K the susceptibility obeys the Curie-Weiss law χg = 2.662 × 10?2(T ? 27.6)emu/g-Oe which corresponds to an effective moment of 7.95 Bohr magnetons. Over the range from 190 to 300°K the data obey a Néel type law, χg?1 = 35.95 (T ? 12.5) ? 2.20 × 104(T ? 177), which is indicative of ferrimagnetic order. The resonance measurements were performed at 9.013 gHz at 247, 296, and 349°K. The spectra were analyzed with a computerized curve-fitting technique that involves a linear combination of Lorentzian absorption and dispersion susceptibility components. Following demagnetization corrections, the g-factor was found to be 1.9832 while the half-power, half-linewidth was 592.7 Oersteds.  相似文献

The kinetics of the interaction of hexaaquochromium(III) ion with potassium octacyanomolybdate(IV) have been studied using conductance and spectrophotometric data. The mechanism of the reaction is discussed and the effect of H+ ion and the ionic strength on the rate of the reaction determined. The reaction is found to be pseudo-first order with respect to potassium octacyanomolybdate(IV) and inverse first order with [H3O+]. The rate of the reaction increases with increase in ionic strength and temperature. Activation parameters have been calculated using the Arrhenius equation and have the values ΔE* = 1.3 × 102 kJ mol?1, ΔH* = 129 kJ mol?1, ΔS* = ?315 e.u., ΔF* = 2.3 × 102 kJ and A = 1.5 × 10?3. Very high resolution measurements of hyperfine structure on the P(13) and R(15), 43?0, 3gp0+u1Σg+ transitions in iodine 127 were made using laser molecular beam spectroscopy. The observed linewidth was 300 kHz (fwhm) giving a resolution of 5 × 10?10 The observed spectrum was fitted to obtain a quadrupole coupling strength difference of ΔeQq = 1906 ± 2 MHz and a spin rotation interaction strength difference of ΔCI = 181 ± 7 kHz between the upper and lower levels of the P(13) transition. For the R (15) transition ΔeQq = 1905 ± 2 MHz and ΔCI = 167 ± 5 kHz.  相似文献

Linear and branched bisphenol A polycarbonate (PC) samples were characterized by their average molecular weights, Mn and Mw, polydispersity degree q = Mw/Mn, and branching degree gv. The weight fraction of microgel was also determined for branched samples. The samples were amorphized and densities were measured at 23°C to obtain the values of specific volume, vsp. The dependence of vsp on molecular characteristics is described by the multivariable power function Δvsp = AspMxaqapx gvab, where Δvsp = vsp ? vsp,∞, and Asp, a, apx and ab are constants. It has been confirmed that a = ?1, apn = 0 and apw = 1. It has also been found that the branching exponent ab significantly depends on microgel content. The relationships found for PC should, in principle, be valid for other polymers. Examples based on literature data are given for linear polyethylene and polydimethylsiloxane.  相似文献

The phase relationships of poly(N-vinyl-3,6-dibromo carbazole) (PVK-3, 6-Br2) were examined for four solvents, viz, o-chlorophenol, p-chloro-m-cresol, o-dichlorobenzene and bromobenzene. Upper critical solution temperatures (UCST) have been determined for solutions of PVK-3,6-Br, fractions in o-chlorophenol and p-chloro-m-cresol over the molecular weight range Mw × 10?4 = 125.0 to 4.8. The Flory temperature, θ, obtained from UCST for the PVK-3,6-Br2/o-chlorophenol and PVK-3,6-Br2/p-chloro-m-cresol systems are 66.0 and 112.9°C, respectively. The θ-temperatures were checked against molecular weight and viscosity data to determine the Mark-Houwink equations for these two theta solvents, with satisfactory agreement. The relations are

The characteristic ratio C = 〈R20/nl2 was found to be 16.6 in o-chlorophenol at 60.0°C and 17.6 in p-chloro-m-cresol at 112.9°C. The value of the characteristic ratio C of PVK-3,6-Br2 is of the same order of that for poly(N-vinyl carbazole). This indicates that the bromine atoms at the 3 and 6 (meta) positions have only an inappreciable effect on the hindering potential for rotation about the CC bond. This agreement of C for both polymers may also be taken as indicating that the effect of interaction between polar groups at the m-position on the hindering potential for rotation is small. The phase diagrams of PVK-3,6-Br2 obtained in o-dichlorobenzene and bromobenzene seem to be characteristic of organized phase structures such as those found in systems exhibiting thermoreversible gelation. Light scattering measurement on PVK-3,6-Br2 dissolved in o-dichlorobenzene, a gelation promoting solvent, and tetrahydrofuran, a very good solvent, strongly indicate that the macromolecular species in o-dichlorobenzene contain some extent supermolecular structures (aggregates, association of chain segments, etc.). These characteristic structures of PVK-3,6-Br2 in o-dichlorobenzene and bromobenzene at 25°C are also characterized by high values of the Huggins' constant k′; for tetrahydrofuran solutions, the k′ values were in the range normally found for many good solvent-polymer systems.  相似文献
