A direct ab initio dynamics method is used to investigate the hydrogen‐abstraction reaction CH3CHF2+Cl. One transition state is located for α‐H abstraction, and two are identified for β‐H abstraction. The potential‐energy surface (PES) is obtained at the G3(MP2)//MP2/6‐311G(d, p) level. Furthermore, the rate constants of the three channels are evaluated by using canonical variational transition‐state theory (CVT) with small‐curvature tunneling (SCT) contributions over a wide temperature range of 200–2500 K. The dynamic calculations show that the reaction proceeds mainly by α‐H abstraction over the whole temperature range. The calculated rate constants and branching ratios are both in good agreement with the available experimental values.  相似文献

By means of the dual‐level direct dynamics method, the mechanisms of the reactions, CH3CF2Cl + OH → products (R1) and CH3CFCl2 + OH → products (R2), are studied over a wide temperature range 200–2000 K. The optimized geometries and frequencies of the stationary points are calculated at the MP2/6‐311G(d,p) level, and then the energy profiles of the reactions are refined with the interpolated single‐point energy method at the G3(MP2) level. The canonical variational transition‐state theory with the small‐curvature tunneling (SCT) correction method is used to calculate the rate constants. For the title reactions, three reaction channels are identified and the H‐abstraction channel is the major pathway. The results indicate that F substitution has a significant (reductive) effect on hydrochlorofluorocarbon reactivity. Also, for all H‐abstraction reaction channels the variational effect is small and the SCT effect is only important in the lower temperature range on the rate constants calculation. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A detailed investigation has been performed at the QCISD(T)/6‐311++G(d,p)//B3LYP/6‐311+G(d,p) level for the reaction of NCO with C2H5 by constructing singlet and triplet potential energy surfaces (PES). The results show that the title reaction is more favorable on the singlet PES than on the triplet PES. On the singlet PES, the initial addition processes are barrierless and release lots of energy. The dominant channel occurs via the fragmentations of the initial adduct C2H5NCO and C2H5OCN to form C2H4 + HNCO and HOCN, respectively. With higher barrier heights, other products such as CH4 + HNC + CO, CH3CHNH + CO, CH3CH + HNCO, and CH3CN + H2 + CO are less competitive. On the triplet PES, the entrance reactions surpass significant barriers; therefore, it could be negligible at the normal atmospheric condition. However, the most feasible channel on the triplet PES is the direct hydrogen abstraction channel to form CH2CH2 + HNCO. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Quantum Chem, 2011  相似文献

We have investigated theoretically the gas phase reactions of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) with atom Cl in the absence and presence of a single water molecule. The calculations of the potential energy surfaces in the water-free and water-assisted along the different channels are performed at the CCSD(T)/6-311++G(2df,2p)//MP2/6-31G(d) level. The calculated results show that energy barriers of the Hc-abstraction reaction are reduced due to one water molecule added. The computed rate constants of Hc-abstraction reaction indicate that the reaction with water is faster than the value of the naked reaction. However, Ha-abstraction reaction, path2, path3, and path4 are slower without water than hydrous channels.  相似文献

The reaction of H radical with C2H5CN has been studied using various quantum chemistry methods. The geometries were optimized at the B3LYP/6‐311+G(d,p) and B3LYP/6‐311++G(2d,2p) levels. The single‐point energies were calculated using G3 and BMC‐CCSD methods based on B3LYP/6‐311++G(2d,2p) geometries. Four mechanisms were investigated, namely, hydrogen abstraction, C‐addition/elimination, N‐addition/elimination and substitution. The kinetics of this reaction were studied using the transition state theory and multichannel Rice‐Ramsperger‐Kassel‐Marcus methodologies over a wide temperature range of 200–3000 K. The calculated results indicate that C‐addition/elimination channel is the most feasible over the whole temperature range. The deactivation of initial adduct C2H5CHN is dominant at lower temperature with bath gas H2 of 760 Torr; whereas C2H5+HCN is the dominant product at higher temperature. Our calculated rate constants are in good agreement with the available experimental data. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Comput Chem, 2010  相似文献

A direct dynamics method is employed to study the hydrogen abstraction reaction of CH3CH2F+Cl. Three distinct transition states are located, one for -H abstraction and two for β-H abstraction. The potential energy surface (PES) information is obtained at the QCISD(T)/6-311+G(3df,2p)//MP2/6-311G(d,p), CCSD(T)/6-311+G(3df,2p)//MP2/6-311G(d,p) and G2//MP2/6-311G(d,p) level. Based on the QCISD(T)/6-311+G(3df,2p)//MP2/6-311G(d,p) results, the rate constants of the three reaction channels are evaluated by using the canonical variational transition state theory (CVT) with small-curvature tunneling (SCT) contributions over the temperature range of 220–2800 K. The calculated results indicate that -H abstraction dominates the total reaction almost over the whole temperature range.  相似文献

The hydrogen abstraction reaction of Cl atoms with CF3CH2Cl (HCFC‐133a) is investigated by using density function theory and ab initio approach, and the rate constants are calculated by using the dual‐level direct dynamics method. Optimized geometries and frequencies of reactants, transition state, and products are computed at the B3LYP/6‐311+G(2d,2p) level. To refine the energetic information along the minimum energy path, single‐point energy calculations are carried out at the G3(MP2) level of theory. The interpolated single‐point energy method is employed to correct the energy profiles for the title reaction. The rate constants are evaluated by using the canonical variational transition state theory with a small‐curvature tunneling correction over a wide range of temperature, 200–2000 K. The variational effect for the reaction is moderate at low temperatures and very small at high temperatures. However, the tunneling correction has an important contribution in the lower temperature range. The agreement between calculated rate constants and available experimental values is good at lower temperatures but diverges significantly at higher temperatures. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The detailed isomerization and dissociation reaction potential energy profile of the CH3PO2 system was established at the UCCSD(T)/6‐311++G(3df,2p)//UB3LYP/6‐311++G(d,p) level of theory. Seventy minimum isomers were located and connected by 93 optimized interconversion transition states. Furthermore, 32 isomers with high kinetic stability were predicted to be possible candidates for further experimental detection. The bonding nature of the suggested stable isomers was analyzed while their molecular properties including heats of formation, adiabatic ionization potentials, and adiabatic electronic affinities were calculated at the G2, G2(MP2), G3, and CBS‐Q levels. Based on the isomerization and dissociation potential energy surface, possible unimolecular decomposition mechanisms and pathways of the low‐lying molecules CH3P(?O)2, CH3O? P?O, and CH2?P(?O)OH were discussed. Furthermore, the transition state theory rate constants of the primary unimolecular dissociation channels were also calculated. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In the present study, the possible decomposition and rearrangement reaction profile of trichloroacetyl chloride have been studied using UMP2/6‐311++G (2d, 2p) level of ab initio and UB3LYP/6‐311++G (2d, 2p) level of density functional theory methods. The harmonic vibrational frequencies were calculated at the same level of theory used for the characterization of stationary points and zero‐point vibrational energy corrections. The potential energy barrier and activation energy between each step of the reaction have been calculated for the seven possible reaction pathways (Ia–c, IIa–b, IIIa–b). The trichloroacetyl chloride is an asymmetric ketone where the two α bonds of acetyl chloride, the C? C and C? Cl bonds are strong with dissociation energy of 72 kcal/mol. The phosgene (COCl2), dichloroketene (CCl2CO), carbon dichloride (CCl2), carbon tetrachloride (CCl4), and carbon monoxide (CO) are the major dominant products on the decomposition of the trichloroacetyl chloride. These resultant products are more hazards than the parent trichloroacetyl chloride molecules. The positive value of the reaction energy indicate that the overall reaction profile is found to be endothermic at the UMP2 and UBLYP/6‐311++G(2d, 2p) levels of theory, respectively, at UMP2/6‐311G** optimized geometry. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The intermediates [Si,O,C,O] of the Si + CO2 reaction have been studied in detail using high level ab iniitio methods. Both singlet and triplet [Si,O,C,O] species are characterized structurally and energetically. On the singlet potential energy surface (PES), the vdw‐OSi–CO isomer and in the triplet PES, the bent‐SiOCO isomer is found to be thermodynamically as well as kinetically most stable species. All possible isomerization transition states (TS) are located on both singlet and triplet potential surfaces. On the triplet surface, the stability of the trans‐OSiCO isomer is comparable with that of the bent‐SiOCO isomer. A non‐planar cis‐SiOCO isomer is located on the triplet PES, which is predicted for the first time. Heats of formation at 0 K (ΔfH°, 0 K) for all singlet and triplet species are computed using G3B3, G3MP2, and CBS‐Q theories. The discrepancy between G3B3 and the other two methods for the heat of formation value for triplet trans‐OSiCO is discussed. The PESs for singlet as well as triplet species with their dissociation asymptotes are explored at the CCSD(T)/6‐311G(d,p)//MP2/6‐311G(d,p) level of theory. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The product channels and mechanisms of the C2HC12+O2 reaction are investigated by step-scan time-resolved Fourier transform infrared emission spectroscopy and the G3MP2// B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) level of electronic structure calculations. Vibrationally excited products of HCI, CO, and CO2 are observed in the IR emission spectra and the product vibrational state distribution are determined which shows that HCI and CO are vibrationally excited with the nascent average vibrational energy estimated to be 59.8 and 51.8 kJ/mol respectively. In combination with the G3MP2//B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) calculations, the reaction mechanisms have been characterized and the energetically favorable reaction pathways have been suggested.  相似文献

A detailed computational study of the deamination reaction of melamine by OH, n H2O/OH, n H2O (where n = 1, 2, 3), and protonated melamine with H2O, has been carried out using density functional theory and ab initio calculations. All structures were optimized at M06/6‐31G(d) level of theory, as well as with the B3LYP functional with each of the basis sets: 6‐31G(d), 6‐31 + G(d), 6‐31G(2df,p), and 6‐311++G(3df,3pd). B3LYP, M06, and ω B97XD calculations with 6‐31 + G(d,p) have also been performed. All structures were optimized at B3LYP/6‐31 + G(d,p) level of theory for deamination simulations in an aqueous medium, using both the polarizable continuum solvation model and the solvation model based on solute electron density. Composite method calculations have been conducted at G4MP2 and CBS‐QB3. Fifteen different mechanistic pathways were explored. Most pathways consisted of two key steps: formation of a tetrahedral intermediate and in the final step, an intermediate that dissociates to products via a 1,3‐proton shift. The lowest overall activation energy, 111 kJ mol?1 at G4MP2, was obtained for the deamination of melamine with 3H2O/OH?.  相似文献

Dual‐level direct dynamics method is used to study the kinetic properties of the hydrogen abstraction reactions of CH3CHBr + HBr → CH3CH2Br + Br (R1) and CH3CBr2 + HBr → CH3CHBr2 + Br (R2). Optimized geometries and frequencies of all the stationary points and extra points along the minimum‐energy path are obtained at the MPW1K/6‐311+G(d,p), MPW1K/ma‐TZVP, and BMK/6‐311+G(d,p) levels. Two complexes with energies less than that of the reactants are located in the entrance of each reaction at the MPW1K/6‐311+G(d,p) and MPW1K/ma‐TZVP levels, respectively. The energy profiles are further refined with the interpolated single‐point energies method at the G2M(RCC5)//MPW1K/6‐311+G(d,p) level of theory. By the improved canonical variational transition‐state theory with the small‐curvature tunneling correction (SCT), the rate constants are evaluated over a wide temperature range of 200–2000 K. Our calculations have shown that the radical reactivity decreases from CH3CHBr to CH3CBr2. Finally, the total rate constants are fitted by two modified Arrhenius expression. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

An extensive quantum chemical study of the potential energy surface (PES) for all possible isomerization and dissociation reactions of CH2CO with NCO is reported at the DFT (B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p)) and CCSD(T)/cc-pVDZ//B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) levels of theory. For the CH2CO+NCO reaction, the formation of CO+CH2NCO via an addition–elimination mechanism is the dominant channel on the doublet surface. While the formation of CO+CH2OCN via bimolecular substitution reaction is in the secondary. Meanwhile, the isomerization and dissociation reactions of the products, CH2NCO and CH2OCN, also have been investigated using the same theoretical approach. It can be concluded that these reaction channels are not feasible kinetically at low or fairly high temperatures. On the basis of the ab initio data, the total rate constants for the CH2CO+NCO reaction in the T=296–560 K range have been computed using conventional transition state theory with Wigner tunneling correction and fitted by a rate expression as k=2.14×10−12 (cm3 molecule−1 s−1) exp(654.29/T). The calculated total rate constants with Wigner tunneling correction for the CH2CO+NCO reaction are in good agreement with the available experimental values.  相似文献

The rate constants of the H‐abstraction reactions from cyclopropane by H, O (3P), Cl (2P3/2), and OH radicals have been calculated over the temperature range of 250?2500 K using two different levels of theory. Calculations of optimized geometrical parameters and vibrational frequencies are performed using the MP2 method combined with the cc‐pVTZ basis set and the 6–311++G(d,p) basis set. Single‐point energy calculations have been carried out with the highly correlated ab initio coupled cluster method in the space of single, double, and triple (perturbatively) electron excitations CCSD(T) using either the cc‐pVTZ, aug‐cc‐pVTZ, and aug‐cc‐pVQZ basis sets or the 6–311++G(3df,3pd) basis set. The CCSD(T) calculated potential energies have been extrapolated to the complete basis limit (CBS) limit. The Full Configuration Interaction (FCI) energies have been also estimated using the continued‐fraction approximation as proposed by Goodson (J. Chem. Phys., 2002, 116, 6948–6956). Canonical transition‐state theory combined with an Eckart tunneling correction has been used to predict the rate constants as a function of temperature using two kinetic models (direct abstraction or complex mechanism) at two levels of theory (CCSD(T)‐cf/CBS//MP2/cc‐pVTZ and CCSD(T)‐cf/6–311++G(3df,3pd)//MP2/6–311++G(d,p)). The calculated kinetic parameters are in reasonable agreement with their literature counterparts for all reactions. In the light of these trends, the use of the Pople‐style basis sets for studying the reactivity of other systems such as larger cycloalkanes or halogenated cycloalkanes is recommended because the 6–311++G(3df,3pd) basis set is less time consuming than the aug‐cc‐pVQZ basis set. Based on our calculations performed at the CCSD(T)‐cf/CBS//MP2/cc‐pVTZ level of theory, the standard enthalpy of formation at 298 K for the cyclopropyl radical has been reassessed and its value is (290.5 ± 1.6) kJ mol?1.  相似文献

The mechanisms for the reaction of C2H5S with NO2 are investigated at the QCISD(T)/6‐311++G(d, p)//B3LYP/6‐311++G(d, p) level on both single and triple potential energy surfaces. The geometries, vibrational frequencies and zero‐point energy (ZPE) corrections of all stationary points involved in the title reaction are calculated at the B3LYP/6‐311++G(d, p) level. The results show that the reaction is more predominant on the single potential energy surface, while it is negligible on the triple potential energy surface. Without barrier height in the whole process, the major channel is R → C2H5SONO (IM1 and IM2) → P1 (C2H5SO+NO). With much heat released in the formation of C2H5SNO2 (IM3) and the transition state involved in the subsequent step more stable than reactants, P4 (CH3CHS + t‐HONO) is subdominant product energetically. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A direct dynamics method is employed to study the kinetics of the multiple channel reaction CH(3)OCl + Cl. The potential energy surface (PES) information is explored from ab initio calculations. Two reaction channels, Cl- and H-abstractions, have been identified. The optimized geometries and frequencies of the stationary points and the minimum-energy paths (MEPs) are calculated at the MP2 level of theory using the 6-311G(d, p) and cc-pVTZ basis sets, respectively. The single-point energies along the MEPs are further refined at the G3(MP2)//MP2/6-311G(d, p), G3//MP2/6-311G(d, p), as well as by the multicoefficient correlation method based on QCISD (MC-QCISD) using the MP2/cc-pVTZ geometries. The enthalpies of formation for the species CH(3)OCl and CH(2)OCl are calculated via isodesmic reactions. The rate constants of the two reaction channels are evaluated by using the variational transition-state theory over a wide range of temperature, 220-2200 K. The calculated rate constants exhibit the slightly negative temperature dependence and show good agreement with the available experimental data at room temperature at the G3(MP2)//MP2/6-311G(d, p) level. The present calculations indicate that the two channels are competitive at low temperatures while H-abstraction plays a more important role with the increase of temperature. The calculated k(1a)/k(1) ratio of 0.5 at 298 K is in general agreement with the experimental one, 0.8 +/- 0.2. The high rate constant for CH(3)OCl + Cl shows that removal by reaction with Cl atom is a potentially important loss process for CH(3)OCl in the polar stratosphere.  相似文献

One- and two bond spin–spin coupling constants, 1 J, 1h J , and 2h J across X–H?O hydrogen bonds and shielding constants of bridging hydrogens have been computed for complexes formed from interaction between the α-hydroxy-N-nitrosamine (NP) and four preferential binding sites of the uracil (U) at B3LYP/6-311++G(2d,2p)//MP2/6-311++G(2d,2p) level of theory. All complexes are stabilized by two HU?ONP and HNP?OU hydrogen bonds. Very good correlations were found between NMR spin–spin coupling constant as well as isotropic shielding constant and the binding energy, H-bond distance, red-shift of vibration frequency, charge transfer energy, and electron density at H-bond critical point.  相似文献
