Two novel Mn(II) coordination polymers with azide and 4-(4-pyridyl)benzoic acid N-oxide (4,4-Hopybz) were synthesized and structurally and magnetically characterized. They are formulated as {[Mn(2)(4,4-opybz)(2)(N(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O}(n) (1) and {[Mn(4)(4,4-opybz)(5)(N(3))(H(2)O)(8)](N(3))(2)·2H(2)O}(n) (2). Compound 1 contains 2D coordination layers in which the infinite Mn(II) chains with alternating (μ-EO-N(3))(2)(μ-COO) (EO = end-on) and (μ-COO)(μ-O) bridges are interlinked by the backbones of the organic ligands. Compound 2 is a 3D metal-organic framework in which the unique linear tetranuclear clusters with (μ-EO-N(3))(μ-COO) and (μ-COO)(μ-O) bridges are cross-linked by organic backbones, and it represents a new example of the rare 8-connected self-catenated 3D net with the point symbol 4(16)·6(12). Magnetic analyses on the compounds have been performed in the classical-spin approximation, revealing that all the above-mentioned mixed bridging motifs induce weak antiferromagnetic interactions between Mn(II) ions.  相似文献

Two coordination polymers formulated as [{[Co(2)(L)(N(3))(4)]·2DMF}(n) (1) and [Mn(2)(L)(H(2)O)(0.5)(N(3))(8)](n) (2) (L = 1,4-bis(4-carboxylatopyridinium-1-methyl)benzene) were synthesized and structurally and magnetically characterized. In compound 1, the anionic uniform Co(II) chains with mixed (μ-EO-N(3))(2)(μ-COO) triple bridges (EO = end-on) are cross-linked by the cationic bis(pyridinium) spacers to generate 2D coordination layers. It was demonstrated that the triple bridges mediate ferromagnetic coupling and that the compound represents a new example of the rare systems exhibiting the coexistence of antiferromagnetic ordering, metamagnetism, and slow magnetic dynamics. Compound 2 features the magnetic Δ-chain formed from isosceles triangular units with single μ-EE-N(3) and double (μ-EO-N(3))(μ-COO) bridges (EE = end-to-end). The Δ-chains are interlinked by long organic ligands into a 3D framework with novel net topology and 3-fold interpenetration. The magnetic properties of 2 indicate the presence of spin frustration characteristic of Δ-chains with antiferromagnetic interactions.  相似文献

The reactions of manganese(II) acetate or perchlorate, sodium azide or sodium cyanate, and the zwitterionic dicarboxylate ligand 1,4-bis(4-carboxylatopyridinium-1-methylene)benzene (L) under different conditions yielded three different Mn(II) coordination polymers with mixed carboxylate and azide (or cyanate) bridges: {[Mn (L(1))(0.5)(N(3))(OAc)]·3H(2)O}(n) (1), {[Mn(4)(L(1))(N(3))(8)(H(2)O)(4)(CH(3)OH)(2)]·[L(1)]}(n) (2), and {[Mn(3)(L(1))(NCO)(6)(H(2)O)(4)]·[L(1)]·[H(2)O](2)}(n) (3). The compounds exhibit diverse structures and magnetic properties. In 1, the 1D uniform anionic [Mn(N(3))(COO)(2)](n) chains with the (μ-EO-N(3))(μ-COO)(2) triple bridges (EO = end-on) are interlinked by the dipyridinium L ligands into highly undulated 2D layers. Magnetic studies on 1 reveal that the mixed triple bridges induce antiferromagnetic coupling between Mn(II) ions. Compounds 2 and 3 consist of 1D neutral polymeric chains and co-crystallized zwitterions, and the chains are formed by the L ligands interlinking linear polynuclear units. The polynuclear unit in 2 is tetranuclear with (μ-EO-N(3))(2) as central bridges and (μ-EO-N(3))(2)(μ-COO) as peripheral bridges, while that in 3 is trinuclear with (μ-NCO)(2)(μ-COO) bridges. Magnetic studies demonstrate that the magnetic coupling through the mixed azide/isocyanate and carboxylate bridges in 2 and 3 is antiferromagnetic. An expression of magnetic susceptibility based on a 2-J model for linear tetranuclear systems of classical spins has been deduced and applied to 2.  相似文献

Two isomorphous Co(II) and Ni(II) coordination polymers with azide and the 4-(4-pyridyl)benzoic acid N-oxide ligand (4,4-Hopybz) were synthesized, and structurally and magnetically characterized. They are formulated as [M(4,4-opybz)(N(3))(H(2)O)](n) (M = Co, 1 and Ni, 2). The compounds consist of 2D coordination networks, in which 1D coordination chains with (μ-N(3))(μ-COO) bridges are interlinked by the 4,4-opybz spacers, and the structure also features intra- and interchain O-HO hydrogen-bonding bridges between metal ions. Both compounds exhibit ferromagnetic interactions through the intrachain (μ-N(3))(μ-COO)(O-HO) bridges and antiferromagnetic interactions through the interchain O-HO bridges. The ferromagnetic chains are antiferromagnetically ordered, and the antiferromagnetic phases exhibit field-induced metamagnetic transition. It is found that 1 displays slow relaxation of magnetization, typical of single-chain magnets, while 2 does not. The difference emphasizes the great importance of large magnetic anisotropy for single-chain-magnet dynamics.  相似文献

Four bis-tetradentate N(4)-substituted-3,5-{bis[bis-N-(2-pyridinemethyl)]aminomethyl}-4H-1,2,4-triazole ligands, L(Tz1)-L(Tz4), differing only in the triazole N(4) substituent R (where R is amino, pyrrolyl, phenyl, or 4-tertbutylphenyl, respectively) have been synthesized, characterized, and reacted with M(II)(BF(4))(2)·6H(2)O (M(II) = Cu, Ni or Co) and Co(SCN)(2). Experiments using all 16 possible combinations of metal salt and L(TzR) were carried out: 14 pure complexes were obtained, 11 of which are dinuclear, while the other three are tetranuclear. The dinuclear complexes include two copper(II) complexes, [Cu(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(H(2)O)(4)](BF(4))(4) (2), [Cu(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(2) (4); two nickel(II) complexes, [Ni(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(H(2)O)(3)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(4)·0.5(CH(3)CN) (5) and [Ni(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(H(2)O)(4)](BF(4))(4)·H(2)O (8); and seven cobalt(II) complexes, [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·H(2)O (9), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·2H(2)O (10), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz3))(H(2)O)(2)](BF(4))(4) (11), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·3H(2)O (12), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(SCN)(4)]·3H(2)O (13), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(SCN)(4)]·2H(2)O (14), and [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz3))(SCN)(4)]·H(2)O (15). The tetranuclear complexes are [Cu(II)(4)(L(Tz1))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(6) (1), [Cu(II)(4)(L(Tz3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(μ-F)(2)](BF(4))(6)·0.5H(2)O (3), and [Ni(II)(4)(L(Tz3))(2)(H(2)O)(4)(μ-F(2))](BF(4))(6)·6.5H(2)O (7). Single crystal X-ray structure determinations revealed different solvent content from that found by microanalysis of the bulk sample after drying under a vacuum and confirmed that 5', 8', 9', 11', 12', and 15' are dinuclear while 1' and 7' are tetranuclear. As expected, magnetic measurements showed that weak antiferromagnetic intracomplex interactions are present in 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8, stabilizing a singlet spin ground state. All seven of the dinuclear cobalt(II) complexes, 9-15, have similar magnetic behavior and remain in the [HS-HS] state between 300 and 1.8 K.  相似文献

Reactions of CuX (X = Br(-), I(-) or CN(-)) with various types of 2,2'-dipyridylamine (dpa) derivatives have been performed via a hydrothermal-solvothermal method and the products have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. Four ligands with different coordination motifs were employed in the reactions, including angular N,N,N',N'-tetra(2-pyridyl)-2,6-pyridinediamine (tppda); linear N,N,N',N'-tetra(2-pyridyl)-1,4-phenylenediamine (tppa) and N,N,N',N'-tetra(2-pyridyl)biphenyl-4,4'-diamine (tpbpa); and star-shaped tris-[4-(2,2'-dipyridylamino)-phenyl]amine (tdpa), which yielded eight copper(I) complexes exhibiting different stoichiometries of Cu-dpa and variable coordination modes of dpa. The compound [Cu(2)(tppda)(μ-I)(2)](n) (1) forms a one dimensional (1D) coordination polymer exclusively through double μ(2)-I bridges, which arranges to two dimensional (2D) metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) via the face-to-face π···π stacking interactions from pyridyl rings. The compound [Cu(6)(tppa)(μ(3)-Br)(6)](n) (2) forms a 2D network linked through multiple μ(3)-Br bridges. The compound [Cu(2)(tppa)(μ-CN)(2)](n) (3) is also a 2D MOF containing 1D (CuCN)(n) chains. The compounds [Cu(tpbpa)Br](n) (4) and [Cu(4)(tpbpa)(2)(μ-I)(4)](n) (5) display two different 1D assemblies: a zig-zag chain for 4 and a linear structure for 5. The compound [Cu(4)(tpbpa)(μ-CN)(4)](n) (6) shows a pseudo-4,8(2) topological net, while the compound [Cu(8)(tpbpa)(μ-CN)(8)](n)·2nH(2)O (7) exhibits a three-dimensional (3D) framework containing a ···PM··· double helical structure, although both of them contain (CuCN)(n) chains. The compound [Cu(2)(tdpa)(μ-I)(2)](n) (8) is a zig-zag chain based on the star-shaped molecule tpda, in which one of three dpa-arms is free of coordination to metal ions. All complexes exhibit luminescence in the solid state.  相似文献

Reactions between 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol (DFMF) and tris(hydroxymethyl) aminomethane (THMAM = H(3)L2) in the presence of copper(II) salts, CuX(2) (X = CH(3)CO(2)(-), BF(4)(-), ClO(4)(-), Cl(-), NO(3)(-)) and Ni(CH(3)CO(2))(2) or Ni(ClO(4))(2)/NaC(6)H(5)CO(2), sodium azide (NaN(3)), and triethylamine (TEA), in one pot self-assemble giving a coordination polymer consisting of repeating pentanuclear copper(II) clusters {[Cu(2)(H(5)L(2-))(μ-N(3))](2)[Cu(N(3))(4)]·2CH(3)OH}(n) (1) and hexanuclear Ni(II) complexes [Ni(6)(H(3)L1(-))(2)(HL2(2-))(2)(μ-N(3))(4)(CH(3)CO(2))(2)]·6C(3)H(7)NO·C(2)H(5)OH (2) and [Ni(6)(H(3)L1(-))(2)(HL2(2-))(2)(μ-N(3))(4)(C(6)H(5)CO(2))(2)]·3C(3)H(7)NO·3H(2)O·CH(3)OH (3). In 1, H(5)L(2-) and in 2 and 3 H(3)L1(-) and HL2(2-) represent doubly deprotonated, singly deprotonated, and doubly deprotonated Schiff-base ligands H(7)L and H(4)L1 and a tripodal ligand H(3)L2, respectively. 1 has a novel double-stranded ladder-like structure in which [Cu(N(3))(4)](2-) anions link single chains comprised of dinuclear cationic subunits [Cu(2)(H(5)L(2-))(μ-N(3))](+), forming a 3D structure of interconnected ladders through H bonding. Nickel(II) clusters 2 and 3 have very similar neutral hexanuclear cores in which six nickel(II) ions are bonded to two H(4)L1, two H(3)L2, four μ-azido, and two μ-CH(3)CO(2)(-)/μ-C(6)H(5)CO(2)(-) ligands. In each structure two terminal dinickel (Ni(2)) units are connected to the central dinickel unit through four doubly bridging end-on (EO) μ-azido and four triply bridging μ(3)-methoxy bridges organizing into hexanuclear units. In each terminal dinuclear unit two nickel centers are bridged through one μ-phenolate oxygen from H(3)L1(-), one μ(3)-methoxy oxygen from HL2(2-), and one μ-CH(3)CO(2)(-) (2)/μ-C(6)H(5)CO(2)(-) (3) ion. Bulk magnetization measurements on 1 show moderately strong antiferromagnetic coupling within the [Cu(2)] building block (J(1) = -113.5 cm(-1)). Bulk magnetization measurements on 2 and 3 demonstrate that the magnetic interactions are completely dominated by ferromagnetic coupling occurring between Ni(II) ions for all bridges with coupling constants (J(1), J(2), and J(3)) ranging from 2.10 to 14.56 cm(-1) (in the ? = -J(1)(?(1)?(2)) - J(1)(?(2)?(3)) - J(2)(?(3)?(4)) - J(1)(?(4)?(5)) - J(1)(?(5)?(6)) - J(2)(?(1)?(6)) - J(3)(?(2)?(6)) - J(3)(?(2)?(5)) - J(3)(?(3)?(5)) convention).  相似文献

Two 3D coordination polymers of Mn(II) with azide and bifunctional zwitterionic ligands bearing both carboxylate and tetrazolate groups, 1-(carboxylatomethyl)-3-(5-tetrazolato)pyridinium (L(1)) and 1-(carboxylatoethyl)-4-(5-tetrazolato)pyridinium (L(2)), were synthesized, and structurally and magnetically characterized. They are formulated as [Mn(3)(L(1))(2)(N(3))(4)(H(2)O)(2)](n)·4nH(2)O (1) and [Mn(3)(L(2))(2)(N(3))(4)(H(2)O)(3)](n)·3.5nH(2)O (2). In both compounds, octahedral Mn(II) ions are linked by the mixed (μ(2)-EO-N(3))(μ(2)-syn,syn-COO)(μ(2)-N(2),N(3)-CN(4)) (CN(4) = tetrazolate and EO = end-on) triple bridges to give anionic linear trinuclear motifs. The motifs are connected through EE-N(3) (EE = end-to-end) bridges to give layers and chains in 1 and 2, respectively, and the cationic pyridinium spacers serve to interlink the layers or chains into three-dimensional frameworks with the α-Po and CdSO(4)-type topology, respectively. Magnetic studies demonstrated that the magnetic interactions within and between the trinuclear motifs, through the tricomponent and EE-N(3) bridges, respectively, are both antiferromagnetic in both compounds.  相似文献

Five new Zn(II)/Cd(II) coordination polymers constructed from di(1H-imidazol-1-yl)methane (L) mixed with different auxiliary carboxylic acid ligands formulated as [Zn(L)(H(2)L(1))(2)·(H(2)O)(0.2)](n) (1), {[Zn(L)(L(2))]·H(2)O}(n) (2), {[Cd(2)(L)(2)(L(2))(2)]·2H(2)O}(n) (3), {[Cd(L)(L(3))]·H(2)O}(n) (4) and [Cd(L)(L(4))](n) (5) (H(3)L(1) = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid, H(2)L(2) = 4,4'-oxybis(benzoic acid), H(2)L(3) = m-phthalic acid and H(2)L(4) = p-phthalic acid) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and structurally characterized. Four related auxiliary carboxylic acids were chosen to examine the influences on the construction of these coordination frameworks with distinct dimensionality and connectivity. The coordination arrays of 1-5 vary from 1D zigzag chain for 1, 2D (4,4) layer for 2-4, to 2-fold interpenetrated 3D coordination network with the α-Po topology for 5. The thermal and photoluminescence properties of complexes 1-5 in the solid state have also been investigated.  相似文献

To explore the relationships between the structures of ligands and their complexes, we have synthesized and characterized a series of metal complexes with two structurally related ligands, 9-acridinecarboxylic acid (HL(1)) and 4-quinolinecarboxylate acid (HL(2)), [Cu(2)(mu(2)-OMe)(2)(L(1))(2)(H(2)O)(0.69)](n) 1, [Cu(2)(L(1))(4)(CH(3)OH)(2)] 2, [Cu(3)(L(1))(6)(CH(3)OH)(6)].3H(2)O 3, [Mn(3)(L(1))(6)(CH(3)OH)(6)].3H(2)O 4, [Co(3)(L(1))(6)(CH(3)OH)(6)].3H(2)O 5, [Cu(L(2))(2)](n) 6, [Mn(L(2))(2)(H(2)O)](n) 7, and [Co(L(2))(2)(H(2)O)](n) 8. 1 is a three-dimensional (3D) polymer with an interpenetrating NbO type network showing one-dimensional (1D) channels, whereas 2 and 3 take bi- and trinuclear structures, respectively, because of the differences in basicity of the reaction systems in preparing the three complexes. 4 and 5 have trinuclear structures similar to that of 3. In 1-5, ligand L(1) performs different coordination modes with N,O-bridging in 1 and O,O'-bridging in 2-5, and the metal ions also show different coordination geometries: square planar in 1, square pyramidal in 2, and octahedral in 3-5. 6 has a two-dimensional structure containing (4,4) grids in which L(2) adopts the N,O-bridging mode and the Cu(II) center takes square planar geometry. 7 and 8 are isostructural complexes showing 1D chain structures, with L(2) adopting the O,O-bridging mode. In addition, the intermolecular O-H...N hydrogen bonds and pi-pi stacking interactions further extend the complexes (except 1 and 6), forming 3D structures. The magnetic properties of 2-7 have been investigated and discussed in detail.  相似文献

The synthesis and the characterization of new dinuclear copper(II) compounds of general formula [(L(a-d))(2)Cu(2)(μ-N-N)](ClO(4))(2) (1-6) with either neutral aliphatic diamine (N-N = piperazine, pip) or aromatic diimine (N-N = 4,4'-bipyridine, 4,4'-bipy) linker are reported. The copper ligands L(-) (L(a-) = (E)-2-((2-aminoethylimino)methyl)phenolate, L(b-) = (E)-2-((2-aminopropylimino)methyl)-phenolate, L(c-) = (E)-2-((2-aminoethylimino)methyl)4-nitrophenolate, L(d-) = (E)-2-((2-aminoethylimino)methyl)4-methoxyphenolate) are NNO tridentate Schiff bases derived from the monocondensation of a substituted salicylaldehyde 5-G-salH (G = NO(2), H, OMe) with ethylenediamine, en, or 1,3-propylenediamine, tn. The crystal structures of compounds [(L(a))(2)Cu(2)(MeOH)(2)(μ-4,4'-bipy)](ClO(4))(2) (1·2MeOH), [(L(b))(2)Cu(2)(MeOH)(2)(μ-4,4'-bipy)](ClO(4))(2) (2·2MeOH), [(L(d))(2)Cu(2)(μ-4,4'-bipy)](ClO(4))(2) (4), [(L(a))(2)Cu(2)(μ-pip)](ClO(4))(2) (5) and [(L(b))(2)Cu(2)(μ-pip)](ClO(4))(2) (6) have been determined, revealing the preferred (e-e)-chair conformation of the bridging piperazine in compounds 5 and 6. The presence of hydrogen-bond-mediated intermolecular interactions, that involve the methanol molecules, yields dimers of dinuclear units for 1·2MeOH, and infinite zig-zag chains for 2·2MeOH. The temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibilities χ(M)(T) for all compounds were measured, indicating the presence of antiferromagnetic Cu-Cu exchange. For the compounds 2-4 with 4,4'-bipy, the coupling constants J are around -1 cm(-1), while in compound 1 no interaction could be detected. The compounds 5 and 6 with piperazine display higher Cu-Cu magnetic interactions through the σ-bonding backbone of the bridging molecule, with J around -8 cm(-1), and the coupling is favoured by the (e-e)-chair conformation of the diamine ring. The non-aromatic, but shorter, linker piperazine gives rise to stronger Cu-Cu antiferromagnetic couplings than the aromatic, but longer, 4,4'-bipyridine. In the latter case, the rotation along the C-C bond between the two pyridyl rings and the consequent non co-planarity of the two copper coordination planes play an important role in determining the magnetic communication. EPR studies reveal that the dinuclear species are not stable in solution, yielding the solvated [(L)Cu(MeOH)](+) and the mononuclear [(L)Cu(N-N)](+) species; it appears that the limited solubility of the dinuclear compounds is responsible for their isolation in the solid state.  相似文献

Four new Cu(II) complexes {[Cu(4)(bpy)(4)(OH)(4)(H(2)O)(2)]}(NO(3))(2)(C(7)H(5)O(2))(2)·6H(2)O 1, {[Cu(4)(bpy)(4)(OH)(4)(H(2)O)(2)]}(NO(3))(2)(C(5)H(6)O(4))·8H(2)O 2, {[Cu(4)(bpy)(4)(OH)(4)(H(2)O)(2)]}(C(5)H(6)O(4))(2)·16H(2)O 3 and {[Cu(6)(bpy)(6)(OH)(6)(H(2)O)(2)]}(C(8)H(7)O(2))(6)·12H(2)O 4 were synthesized (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, H(2)(C(5)H(6)O(4)) = glutaric acid, H(C(7)H(5)O(2)) = benzoic acid, H(C(8)H(7)O(2)) = phenyl acetic acid). The building units in 1-3 are the tetranuclear [Cu(4)(bpy)(4)(H(2)O)(2)(μ(2)-OH)(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)](4+) complex cations, and in 4 the hexanuclear [Cu(6)(bpy)(6)(H(2)O)(2)(μ(2)-OH)(2)(μ(3)-OH)(4)](6+) complex cations, respectively. The tetra- and hexanuclear cluster cores [Cu(4)(μ(2)-OH)(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)] and [Cu(6)(μ(2)-OH)(2)(μ(3)-OH)(4)] in the complex cations could be viewed as from step-like di- and trimerization of the well-known hydroxo-bridged dinuclear [Cu(2)(μ(2)-OH)(2)] entities via the out-of-plane Cu-O(H) bonds. The complex cations are supramolecularly assembled into (4,4) topological networks via intercationic ππ stacking interactions. The counteranions and lattice H(2)O molecules are sandwiched between the 2D cationic networks to form hydrogen-bonded networks in 1-3, while the phenyl acetate anions and the lattice H(2)O molecules generate 3D hydrogen-bonded anionic framework to interpenetrate with the (4,4) topological cationic networks with the hexanuclear complex cations in the channels. The ferromagnetic coupling between Cu(II) ions in the [Cu(4)(μ(2)-OH)(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)] cores of 1-3 is significantly stronger via equatorial-equatorial OH(-) bridges than via equatorial-apical ones. The outer and the central [Cu(2)(OH)(2)] unit within the [Cu(6)(μ(2)-OH)(2)(μ(3)-OH)(4)] cluster cores in 4 exhibit weak ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions, respectively. Results about i.r. spectra, thermal and elemental analyses are presented.  相似文献

The reactions of the dinuclear copper complexes [Cu(2)(L)(OAc)] [H(3)L = N,N'-(2-hydroxypropane-1,3-diyl)bis(salicylaldimine) or [Cu(2)(L')(OAc)] (H(3)L' = N,N'-(2-hydroxypropane-1,3-diyl)bis(4,5-dimethylsalicylaldimine)] with various phosphonic acids, RPO(3)H(2) (R = t-Bu, Ph, c-C(5)H(9), c-C(6)H(11) or 2,4,6-i-Pr(3)-C(6)H(2)), leads to the replacement of the acetate bridge affording tetranuclear copper(II) phosphonates, [Cu(4)(L)(2)(t-BuPO(3))](CH(3)OH)(2)(C(6)H(6)) (1), [Cu(4)(L)(2)(PhPO(3))(H(2)O)(2)(NMe(2)CHO)](H(2)O)(2) (2), [Cu(4)(L')(2)(C(5)H(9)PO(3))](CH(3)OH)(2) (3), [Cu(4)(L')(2)(C(6)H(11)PO(3)](MeOH)(4)(H(2)O)(2) (4) and [Cu(4)(L')(2)(C(30)H(46)P(2)O(5))](PhCH(3)) (5). The molecular structures of 1-4 reveal that a [RPO(3)](2-) ligand is involved in holding the four copper atoms together by a 4.211 coordination mode. In 5, an in situ formed [(RPO(2))(2)O](4-) ligand bridges two pairs of the dinuclear subunits. Magnetic studies on these complexes reveal that the phosphonate ligand is an effective conduit for magnetic interaction among the four copper centers present; a predominantly antiferromagnetic interaction is observed at low temperatures.  相似文献

The reaction in water of Cu(NO(3))(2)·2.5H(2)O with 2,2'-bipyridine (bipy), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), or 1,10-phenanthroline-5-amine (phenam), and sodium pyrophosphate (Na(4)P(2)O(7)), at various pHs, afforded three new copper(II)-pyrophosphate complexes, namely, {[Cu(bipy)(cis-H(2)P(2)O(7))](2)}·3H(2)O (1a), {[Cu(phen)(H(2)O)](4)(HP(2)O(7))(2)}(ClO(4))(2)·4H(2)O (2), and {[Cu(2)(phenam)(2)(P(2)O(7))](2)·25H(2)O}(n) (3). A solvent free crystalline phase of 1a was also isolated with formula {[Cu(bipy)(trans-H(2)P(2)O(7))](2)} (1b), which can be regarded as a pseudo-polymorph of 1a. Single crystal X-ray analyses revealed these compounds to have uncommon molecular architectures, with 3 being an unprecedented pyrophosphate-containing two-dimensional (2D) polymer. Compounds 1a/1b and 2 are discrete di- and tetra-nuclear complexes, respectively. The cationic {[Cu(phen)(H(2)O)](4)(HP(2)O(7))(2)}(2+) unit in 2 presents a unique quasi-flat structure, held together by solely in-plane pyrophosphate bridging modes (short O(eq)-P-O(eq) and long O(eq)-P-O-P-O(eq) pathways), a coordination arrangement also not previously reported. A different tetranuclear copper(II)-pyrophosphate arrangement is found in 3, with two classically bridged dimers (O(eq)-P-O(eq) pathway) joined together by auxiliary equatorial-axial μ-O pyrophosphate bridges. Here, the bidimensionality is reached through bridging phenam ligands, which provide further inter-"tetramer" metal-metal connections [(N,N')(eq)-(N')(ax) pathway], leading to the formation of an expanded covalent network based on the [Cu(2)(phenam)(2)(P(2)O(7))](2) moiety. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements on polycrystalline samples of 2 and 3 revealed net antiferromagnetic coupling between metal centers with J(2a) = -7.9(2) cm(-1), J(2b) = -46.9(3) cm(-1), J(2c) = 0 cm(-1) in 2 (H = -J(2a)[S(Cu(1))·S(Cu(2)) + S(Cu(1a))·S(Cu(2a))] - J(2b)[S(Cu(1))·S(Cu(2a)) + S(Cu(1a))·S(Cu(2))] - J(2c)S(Cu(2))·S(Cu(2a))), and J(3a) = -87.9(2) cm(-1), J(3b) = -5(1) cm(-1) and J(3c) = +5(3) cm(-1) in 3 (H = -J(3a)[S(Cu(1))·S(Cu(2)) + S(Cu(1a))·S(Cu(2a))] - J(3b)[S(Cu(1))·S(Cu(2a)) + S(Cu(1a))·S(Cu(2))] - J(3c)S(Cu(2))·S(Cu(2a))). For 1a, a net ferromagnetic coupling is observed with J(1a) = +0.86(1) cm(-1) (H = -J S(A)·S(B) + S(A)·D· S(B) + βH (g(A)S(A) + g(B)S(B)). This is the first example of ferromagnetic coupling in pyrophosphate-complexes reported to date. A structure-function correlation study focusing on magnetic exchange across the observed diverse pyrophosphate-bridges is described with density functional theory (DFT) calculations included to support the stated observations.  相似文献

Systematic explorations of new phases in the Ln(III)-V(V)-Se(IV)-O systems by hydrothermal syntheses led to four new quaternary compounds, namely, Nd(2)(V(V)(2)O(4))(SeO(3))(4)·H(2)O (1), Ln(V(V)O(2))(SeO(3))(2) (Ln = Eu 2, Gd 3, Tb 4). The structure of Nd(2)(V(V)(2)O(4))(SeO(3))(4)·H(2)O features a 3D framework composed of the 2D layers of [N d(SeO(3))](+) bridged by the infinite [VO(2)(SeO(3))](-) chains with the lattice water molecules located at the 6-membered ring tunnels formed. The structure of Ln(V(V)O(2))(SeO(3))(2) (Ln = Eu, Gd, Tb) also features a 3D framework composed of 2D layers of [Ln(SeO(3))](+) bridged by the infinite [(VO(2))(SeO(3))](-) double chains. The 1D vanadium oxide selenite chain of 1 differs significantly from those in compounds 2-4 in terms of the coordination modes of the selenite groups and the connectivities between neighbouring VO(6) octahedra. Luminescent and magnetic properties of these compounds were also measured.  相似文献

Seven new Cu(II) complexes based on a binuclear planar unit [Cu(mu-L(1))](2), [[Cu(mu-L(1))(NO(3))(H(2)O)](2) (1), [Cu(mu-L(1))(HL(1))(ClO(4))](2) (2), [Cu(4)(mu-L(1))(6)(NO(3))(2)] (3), [Cu(4)(mu-L(1))(6)(L(1))(2)] (4), [Cu(4)(mu-L(1))(6)(mu-L(2))](n) (5), [Cu(4)(mu-L(1))(6)(mu-L(3))](n) (6), [[Cu(4)(mu-L(1))(4)(mu-L(4))(2)](H(2)O)(3)](n) (7) (HL(1) = 3-(2-pyridyl)pyrazole, L(2) = 1,8-naphthalenedicarboxylate, L(3) = terephthalate, L(4) = 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylate)}, have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and X-ray diffraction. In 1 and 2, the Cu(II) centers are linked by deprotonated pyrazolyl groups to form dinuclear structures. 3 and 4 have similar gridlike tetranuclear structures in which two additional deprotonated L(1) ligands bridge two [Cu(mu-L(1))](2) units perpendicularly. 5 and 6 consist of similar one-dimensional (1-D) chains in which gridlike tetranuclear copper(II) units similar to that of 3 are further linked by L(2) or L(3) ligands, respectively. And, in 7, L(4) ligands link [Cu(mu-L(1))](2) binuclear units to form a tetranuclear gridlike structure in chelating/bridging mode and simultaneously bridge the tetranuclear units to form a 1-D chain. The magnetic properties of all complexes were studied by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility and magnetization measurements. The obtained parameters of J range from -33.1 to -211 cm(-1), indicating very strong antiferromagnetic coupling between Cu(II) ions. The main factor that affects the |J| parameter is the geometry of the Cu(N(2))(2)Cu entity. From the magnetic point of view, 1 and 2 feature "pure" dinuclear, 3 and 5 tetranuclear, and 4, 6, and 7 pseudodinuclear moieties.  相似文献

The synthesis, magnetic characterization and X-ray crystal structures are reported for five new manganese compounds, [Mn(III)(teaH(2))(sal)]·(1/2)H(2)O (1), [Na(I)(2)Mn(II)(4)Mn(III)(4)(teaH)(6)(sal)(4)(N(3))(2)(MeOH)(4)]·6MeOH (2), [Na(I)(2)Mn(II)(4)Mn(III)(4)(teaH)(6)(sal)(4)(N(3))(2)(MeOH)(2)](n)·7MeOH (3), [Na(I)(2)Mn(II)(4)Mn(III)(4)(teaH)(6)(sal)(4)(N(3))(2)(MeOH)(2)](n)·2MeOH·Et(2)O (4) and [K(I)(2)Mn(II)(4)Mn(III)(4)(teaH)(6)(sal)(4)(N(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](n)·5MeOH (5). Complex 1 is a mononuclear compound, formed via the reaction of Mn(NO(3))(2)·4H(2)O, triethanolamine (teaH(3)) and salicylic acid (salH(2)) in a basic methanolic solution. Compound 2 is a mixed-valent hetero-metallic cluster made up of a Mn(8)Na(2) decanuclear core and is formed via the reaction of sodium azide (NaN(3)) with 1. Compounds 3-5 are isolated as 1- or 2-D coordination polymers, each containing the decanuclear Mn(8)M(2) (M = Na(+) or K(+)) core building block as the repeating unit. Compound 3 is isolated when 1 is reacted with NaN(3) over a very short reaction time and forms a 1-D coordination polymer. Each unit displays inter-cluster bridges via the O-atoms of teaH(2-) ligands bonding to the sodium ions of an adjacent cluster. Increasing the reaction time appears to drive the formation of 4 which forms 2-D polymeric sheets and is a packing polymorph of 3. The addition of KMnO(4) and NaN(3) to 1 resulted in compound 5, which also forms a 1-D coordination polymer of the decanuclear core unit. The 1-D chains are now linked via inter-cluster potassium and salicylate bridges. Solid state DC susceptibility measurements were performed on compounds 1-5. The data for 1 are as expected for an S = 2 Mn(III) ion, with the isothermal M vs. H data being fitted by matrix diagonalization methods to give values of g and the axial (D) and rhombic (E) zero field splitting parameters of 2.02, -2.70 cm(-1) and 0.36 cm(-1) respectively. The data for 2-5, each with an identical Mn(II)(4)Mn(III)(4) metallic core, indicates large spin ground states, with likely values of S = 16 (±1) for each. Solid state AC susceptibility measurements confirm the large spin ground state values and is also suggestive of SMM behaviour for 2-5 as observed via the onset of frequency dependent out-of-phase peaks.  相似文献

Three novel tetranuclear vanadium(III) or (IV) complexes bridged by diphenyl phosphate or phosphate were prepared and their structures characterized by X-ray crystallography. The novel complexes are [{V(III)(2)(μ-hpnbpda)}(2){μ-(C(6)H(5)O)(2)PO(2)}(2)(μ-O)(2)]·6CH(3)OH (1), [{V(III)(2)(μ-tphpn)(μ-η(3)-HPO(4))}(2)(μ-η(4)-PO(4))](ClO(4))(3)·4.5H(2)O (2), and [{(V(IV)O)(2)(μ-tphpn)}(2)(μ-η(4)-PO(4))](ClO(4))(3)·H(2)O (3), where hpnbpda and tphpn are alkoxo-bridging dinucleating ligands. H(3)hpnbpda represents 2-hydroxypropane-1,3-diamino-N,N'-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-N,N'-diacetic acid, and Htphpn represents N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)-2-hydroxy-1,3-propanediamine. A dinuclear vanadium(IV) complex without a phosphate bridge, [(VO)(2)(μ-tphpn)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(3)·2H(2)O (4), was also prepared and structurally characterized for comparison. The vanadium(III) center in 1 adopts a hexacoordinate structure while that in 2 adopts a heptacoordinate structure. In 1, the two dinuclear vanadium(III) units bridged by the alkoxo group of hpnbpda are further linked by two diphenylphosphato and two oxo groups, resulting in a dimer-of-dimers. In 2, the two vanadium(III) units bridged by tphpn are further bridged by three phosphate ions with two different coordination modes. Complex 2 is oxidized in aerobic solution to yield complex 3, in which two of the three phosphate groups in 2 are substituted by oxo groups.  相似文献
