We study dynamical behaviors of traveling wave solutions to a Fujimoto-Watanabe equation using the method of dynamical systems. We obtain all possible bifurcations of phase portraits of the system in different regions of the threedimensional parameter space. Then we show the required conditions to guarantee the existence of traveling wave solutions including solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions, kink-like(antikink-like) wave solutions, and compactons. Moreover, we present exact expressions and simulations of these traveling wave solutions. The dynamical behaviors of these new traveling wave solutions will greatly enrich the previews results and further help us understand the physical structures and analyze the propagation of nonlinear waves. 相似文献

In this Letter, we present an analytical study of a high-order acoustic wave equation in one dimension, and reformulate a previously given equation in terms of an expansion of the acoustic Mach number. We search for non-trivial traveling wave solutions to this equation, and also discuss the accuracy of acoustic wave equations in terms of the range of Mach numbers for which they are valid. 相似文献

提出了求解非线性发展方程的新方法——LS解法.LS解法是基于(G’/G)展开法和扩展的双曲正切函数展开法.并引入了Poincar定性理论的思想,然后以Fisher方程为例进行了试验.通过定性分析首先获得了Fisher方程行波系统积分曲线的性质,然后解得了Fisher方程作为耗散系统时单调减少的波前解和作为扩张系统时单调递增的波前解.一些试验结果与Ablowitz所得结果一致.也得到了Fisher方程作为扩张系统时的新结果.LS解法是在定性理论指导下,在已获知解曲线性质的情况下进行精确求解的,求解目标明确.LS解法揭示了线性系统也可以用作辅助方程来求解非线性系统. 相似文献

Previous work has shown that Benjamin-Feir unstable traveling waves of the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation (CGLE) in two spatial dimensions cannot be stabilized using a particular time-delayed feedback control mechanism known as ‘time-delay autosynchronization’. In this paper, we show that the addition of similar spatial feedback terms can be used to stabilize such waves. This type of feedback is a generalization of the time-delay method of Pyragas [K. Pyragas, Continuous control of chaos by self-controlling feedback, Phys. Lett. A 170 (1992) 421-428] and has been previously used to stabilize waves in the one-dimensional CGLE by Montgomery and Silber [K. Montgomery, M. Silber, Feedback control of traveling wave solutions of the complex Ginzburg Landau equation, Nonlinearity 17 (6) (2004) 2225-2248]. We consider two cases in which the feedback contains either one or two spatial terms. We focus on how the spatial terms may be chosen to select the direction of travel of the plane waves. Numerical linear stability calculations demonstrate the results of our analysis. 相似文献

Under the travelling wave transformation, the Camassa--Holm equation
with dispersion is reduced to an integrable ordinary differential
equation
(ODE), whose general solution
can be obtained using the trick of one-parameter group. Furthermore,
by using a complete discrimination system for polynomial, the
classification of all single travelling wave solutions to the
Camassa--Holm equation with dispersion is obtained.
In particular, an affine subspace structure in the set of the
solutions of the reduced ODE is
obtained. More generally, an implicit linear structure in the Camassa--Holm equation with
dispersion is found. According to the linear structure, we obtain
the superposition of multi-solutions to Camassa--Holm equation with

In this paper, we mainly study the time-space fractional strain wave equation in microstructured solids. He’s variational method, combined with the two-scale transform are implemented to seek the solitary and periodic wave solutions of the time-space strain wave equation. The main advantage of the variational method is that it can reduce the order of the differential equation, thus simplifying the equation, making the solving process more intuitive and avoiding the tedious solving process.Finally, the numerical results are shown in the form of 3D and 2D graphs to prove the applicability and effectiveness of the method. The obtained results in this work are expected to shed a bright light on the study of fractional nonlinear partial differential equations in physics. 相似文献

In this Letter, the Fan sub-equation method is used to construct exact solutions of a generalized Hirota-Satsuma coupled KdV equation. Many exact traveling wave solutions are successfully obtained, which contain more general solitary wave solutions and Jacobian elliptic function solutions with double periods. We describe the operation and performance of a one-dimensional chain of small metallic islands whose potentials are modulated in a wave-like manner. The sinusoidal voltages, applied to the gate electrodes, carry individual charges coherently through the array. In practice, the wave-like potential is induced on the gates by a surface acoustic wave (SAW) traveling on a piezoelectric substrate. The resulting transfer of charges should produce a DC current I = ± ef through the chain, where f is the frequency of the wave and the sign ofthe current depends on the value of the common DC bias of the islands as well as on the direction of the wave propagation. We observe, however, a much smaller current than expected and investigate the factors affecting the fundamental relation between the current and frequency. We demonstrate that the most harmful factor in practice is an uncompensated background charge of random nature, which usually exists in substrates and oxide barriers. 相似文献
