The diuranium(III) compound [UN′′2]2(μ‐η66‐C6H6) (N′′=N(SiMe3)2) has been studied using variable, high‐pressure single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography, and density functional theory . In this compound, the low‐coordinate metal cations are coupled through π‐ and δ‐symmetric arene overlap and show close metal CH contacts with the flexible methyl CH groups of the sterically encumbered amido ligands. The metal–metal separation decreases with increasing pressure, but the most significant structural changes are to the close contacts between ligand CH bonds and the U centers. Although the interatomic distances are suggestive of agostic‐type interactions between the U and ligand peripheral CH groups, QTAIM (quantum theory of atoms‐in‐molecules) computational analysis suggests that there is no such interaction at ambient pressure. However, QTAIM and NBO analyses indicate that the interaction becomes agostic at 3.2 GPa.  相似文献

Reactions of the zinc(I) complex [Zn2(Mesnacnac)2] (Mesnacnac=[(2,4,6‐Me3C6H2)NC(Me)]2CH) with solid K3Bi2 dissolved in liquid ammonia yield crystals of the compound K4[ZnBi2]⋅(NH3)12 ( 1 ), which contains the molecular, linear heteroatomic [Bi Zn Bi]4− polyanion ( 1 a ). This anion represents the first example of a three‐atomic molecular ion of metal atoms being iso(valence)‐electronic to CO2 and being synthesized in solution. The analogy of the discrete [Bi Zn Bi]4− anion and the polymeric [(ZnBi4/2)4−] unit to monomeric CO2 and polymeric SiS2 is rationalized.  相似文献

Reactions of the methoxo complexes [{M(mu-OMe)(cod)}(2)] (cod=1,5-cyclooctadiene, M=Rh, Ir) with 2,2-dimethylaziridine (Haz) give the mixed-bridged complexes [{M(2)(mu-az)(mu-OMe)(cod)(2)}] [(M=Rh, 1; M=Ir, 2). These compounds are isolated intermediates in the stereospecific synthesis of the amido-bridged complexes [{M(mu-az)(cod)}(2)] (M=Rh, 3; M=Ir, 4). The electrochemical behavior of 3 and 4 in CH(2)Cl(2) and CH(3)CN is greatly influenced by the solvent. On a preparative scale, the chemical oxidation of 3 and 4 with [FeCp(2)](+) gives the paramagnetic cationic species [{M(mu-az)(cod)}(2)](+) (M=Rh, [3](+); M=Ir, [4](+)). The Rh complex [3](+) is stable in dichloromethane, whereas the Ir complex [4](+) transforms slowly, but quantitatively, into a 1:1 mixture of the allyl compound [(eta(3),eta(2)-C(8)H(11))Ir(mu-az)(2)Ir(cod)] ([5](+)) and the hydride compound [(cod)(H)Ir(mu-az)(2)Ir(cod)] ([6](+)). Addition of small amounts of acetonitrile to dichloromethane solutions of [3](+) and [4](+) triggers a fast disproportionation reaction in both cases to produce equimolecular amounts of the starting materials 3 and 4 and metal--metal bonded M(II)--M(II) species. These new compounds are isolated by oxidation of 3 and 4 with [FeCp(2)](+) in acetonitrile as the mixed-ligand complexes [(MeCN)(3)M(mu-az)(2)M(NCMe)(cod)](PF(6))(2) (M=Rh, [8](2+); M=Ir, [9](2+)). The electronic structures of [3](+) and [4](+) have been elucidated through EPR measurements and DFT calculations showing that their unpaired electron is primarily delocalized over the two metal centers, with minor spin densities at the two bridging amido nitrogen groups. The HOMO of 3 and 4 and the SOMO of [3](+) and [4](+) are essentially M--M d-d sigma*-antibonding orbitals, explaining the formation of a net bonding interaction between the metals upon oxidation of 3 and 4. Mechanisms for the observed allylic H-atom abstraction reactions from the paramagnetic (radical) complexes are proposed.  相似文献

Versatile ruthenium(II) complexes allow for site‐selective C H oxygenations with weakly‐coordinating aldehydes. The challenging C H functionalizations proceed with high chemoselectivity by rate‐determining C H metalation. The new method features an ample substrate scope, which sets the stage for the step‐economical preparation of various bioactive heterocycles.  相似文献

A new series of homoleptic alkynyl complexes, [{Au2Cu2(C2R)4}n] (R=C3H7O ( 1 ), C6H11O ( 2 ), C9H19O ( 3 ), C13H11O ( 4 )), were obtained from Au(SC4H8)Cl, Cu(NCMe)4PF6, and the corresponding alkyne in the presence of a base (NEt3). Complexes 1 – 4 aggregate upon crystallization into polymeric chains through extensive metallophilic interactions. The cluster that contains fluorenolyl functionalities, C13H9O ( 5 ), crystallizes in its molecular form as a disolvate, [Au2Cu2(C2C13H9O)4] ? 2 THF. The substitution of weakly bound THF molecules with pyridine molecules leads to the complex [Au2Cu2(C2C13H9O)4] ? 2 py ( 6 ), thus giving two polymorphs in the solid state. Such structural diversity is established through metal‐chain and hydrogen‐bond formation, which depends on the stereochemical characteristics of the organic ligands. More interestingly, this solid‐state structural arrangement affords good emission properties, such as intensity and spectroscopic profile, which are otherwise very weakly emissive in solution. Metallophilic aggregation of the {Au2Cu2} cluster units, as observed in the crystals, results in dramatic enhancement of the room‐temperature phosphorescence, thereby reaching a maximum quantum efficiency of 95 % ( 4 ). A theoretical approach further indicates a synergistic effect of the array of the metal chain upon aggregation, which greatly enhances the spin‐orbit coupling and, hence, the phosphorescence, thereby opening up a new direction in the field of aggregate‐enhanced emission.  相似文献

The Morita? Baylis? Hillman (MBH) reactions of (4S,5R,7R,8R)‐ and (4R,5R,7R,8R)‐4‐hydroxy‐7,8‐dimethoxy‐7,8‐dimethyl‐6,9‐dioxaspiro[4.5]dec‐2‐en‐1‐ones ( 2 and 3 , resp.) with aldehydes using various catalysts were studied. A combination of Bu3P/phenol in THF was found being optimum conditions giving the corresponding MBH adducts with high diastereoisomeric ratios. After separation, each stereomerically pure isomer of the MBH adducts was subjected to hydrolysis employing 1% aq. CF3COOH (TFA) in a water bath of an ultrasonic cleaner to afford the corresponding polyhydroxylated cyclopentenones in good yields.  相似文献

Relieving the strain : The rhodium(I)‐catalyzed activation of C C bonds in functionalized cyclobutanes opens a novel route to highly substituted carbo‐ and heterocycles. Particularly intriguing is the differentiation of enantiotopic C C bonds, which leads to the formation of highly enantiomerically enriched lactones, cyclopentanones, and cyclohexenones (see scheme).

Pick your Pd partners : A number of catalytic systems have been developed for palladium‐catalyzed C? H activation/C? C bond formation. Recent studies concerning the palladium(II)‐catalyzed coupling of C? H bonds with organometallic reagents through a PdII/Pd0 catalytic cycle are discussed (see scheme), and the versatility and practicality of this new mode of catalysis are presented. Unaddressed questions and the potential for development in the field are also addressed.

The reactivity of the cubane‐type rare‐earth methylidene complex [Cp′Lu(μ3‐CH2)]4 ( 1 , Cp′=C5Me4SiMe3) with various unsaturated electrophiles was investigated. The reaction of 1 with CO (1 atm) at room temperature gave the bis(ketene dianion)/dimethylidene complex [Cp′4Lu43‐CH2)232‐O‐C?CH2)2] ( 2 ) in 86 % yield through the insertion of two molecules of CO into two of the four lutetium–methylidene units. In the reaction with the sterically demanding N,N‐diisopropylcarbodiimide at 60 °C, only one of the four methylidene units in 1 reacted with one molecule of the carbodiimide substrate to give the mono(ethylene diamido)/trimethylidene complex [Cp′4Lu43‐CH2)3{iPrNC(=CH2)NiPr}] ( 3 ) in 83 % yield. Similarly, the reaction of 1 with phenyl isothiocyanate gave the ethylene amido thiolate/trimethylidene complex [Cp′4Lu43‐CH2)3{PhNC(S)=CH2}] ( 4 ). In the case of phenyl isocyanate, two of the four methylidene units in 1 reacted with four molecules of the substrate at ambient temperature to give the malonodiimidate/dimethylidene complex [Cp′4Lu43‐CH2)2{PhN=C(O)CH2(O)C?NPh}2] ( 5 ) in 87 % yield. In this reaction, each of the two lutetium–methylidene bonds per methylidene unit inserted one molecule of phenyl isocyanate. All the products have been fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, and microelemental analyses.  相似文献

We report CH/π hydrogen‐bond‐driven self‐assembly in π‐conjugated skeletons based on oligophenylenevinylenes (OPVs) and trace the origin of interactions at the molecular level by using single‐crystal structures. OPVs were designed with appropriate pendants in the aromatic core and varied by hydrocarbon or fluorocarbon tails along the molecular axis. The roles of aromatic π‐stack, van der Waals forces, fluorophobic effect and CH/π interactions were investigated on the theromotropic liquid crystallinity of OPV molecules. Single‐crystal structures of hydrocarbon OPVs provided direct evidence for the existence of CH/π interactions between the π‐ring (H‐bond acceptor) and alkyl C? H (H‐bond donor). The four important crystallographic parameters, dc?x=3.79 Å, θ=21.49°, φ=150.25° and dHp?x=0.73 Å, matched in accordance with typical CH/π interactions. The CH/π interactions facilitate the close‐packing of mesogens in xy planes, which were further protruded along the c axis producing a lamellar structure. In the absence of CH/π interactions, van der Waals interactions drove the assembly towards a Schlieren nematic texture. Fluorocarbon OPVs exhibited smectic liquid‐crystalline textures that further underwent Smectic A (SmA) to Smectic C (SmC) phase transitions with shrinkage up to 11 %. The orientation and translational ordering of mesogens in the liquid‐crystalline (LC) phases induced H‐ and J‐type molecular arrangements in fluorocarbon and hydrocarbon OPVs, respectively. Upon photoexcitation, the H‐ and J‐type molecular arrangements were found to emit a blue or yellowish/green colour. Time‐resolved fluorescence decay measurements confirmed longer lifetimes for H‐type smectic OPVs relative to that of loosely packed one‐dimensional nematic hydrocarbon‐tailed OPVs.  相似文献

Copper‐catalyzed Ullmann condensations are key reactions for the formation of carbon–heteroatom and carbon–carbon bonds in organic synthesis. These reactions can lead to structural moieties that are prevalent in building blocks of active molecules in the life sciences and in many material precursors. An increasing number of publications have appeared concerning Ullmann‐type intermolecular reactions for the coupling of aryl and vinyl halides with N, O, and C nucleophiles, and this Minireview highlights recent and major developments in this topic since 2004.  相似文献

The efficient RhI‐catalyzed cycloisomerization of benzylallene‐alkynes produced the tricyclo[9.4.0.03,8]pentadecapentaene skeleton through a C H bond activation in good yields. A plausible reaction mechanism proceeds via oxidative addition of the acetylenic C H bond to RhI, an ene‐type cyclization to the vinylidenecarbene–RhI intermediate, and an electrophilic aromatic substitution with the vinylidenecarbene species. It was proposed based on deuteration and competition experiments.  相似文献

The protonation constants of adenosine 5′‐monophosphate, guanosine 5′‐monophosphate, and inosine 5′‐monophosphate were determined in binary mixtures of H2O containing 0, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50% MeOH, using a combination of potentiometric and spectrophotometric methods at a constant temperature (25°) and constant ionic strength (0.1 mol?dm?3 NaClO4). The protonation constants were analyzed using the normalized polarity parameter (E ), and Kamlet, Abboud, and Taft (KAT) parameters. A linear correlation of log K vs. the normalized polarity parameter was obtained. Dual‐parameter correlation of log K vs. π* (dipolarity/polarizability) and α (H‐bond‐donor acidity), as well as π* and β (H‐bond‐acceptor basicity) also gives good results in various aqueous organic solvent mixtures. Finally, the results are discussed in terms of the effect of solvent on the protonation equilibria.  相似文献
