Effect of La3+ doping at Ca2+ site in CaCu3Ti4O12 has been examined. Compositions with x=0.10, 0.20 and 0.30 were synthesized in the system Ca(1−3x/2)LaxCu3Ti4O12 by semi-wet method. Powder X-ray diffraction confirmed the formation of monophasic compounds. The structure remains cubic similar to CaCu3Ti4O12. Lattice parameter increases slightly with increasing La3+ concentration. Microstructure has been studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Average grain size is in the range 2-4 μm for various compositions. Energy-dispersive spectrometer (EDS) studies confirm the stoichiometry of the synthesized materials. Dielectric constant, dielectric loss and conductivity of the samples decrease with increasing lanthanum concentrations.  相似文献

We present an effective way in this paper to increase the density of lanthanum doped bismuth titanate ceramics, Bi4-xLaxTi3O12 (BLT), thereby significantly improving the performance of the BLT ceramics. Dense BLT ceramicses, Bi4-xLaxTi3O12 (x = 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0), are prepared by using nanocrystalline powders fabricated by a-gel method and high-pressure technique. The microstructures of the BLT ceramicses prepared separately by conventional-pressure and high-pressure techniques are investigated by using x-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscope. The influence of La-doping on the densification of bismuth titanate ceramics is investigated. The experimental results indicate that the phase compositions of all samples with various lanthanum dopings sintered at 900°C possess layer-structure of Bi4Ti3O12 . The green compacts are pressed under 2.5 GPa, 3.0 GPa, 3.5 GPa and 4.0 GPa, separately. It is found that the density of BLT ceramics is significantly increased due to the decreasing of porosity in the green compacts by high-pressure process.  相似文献

Bi3.25La0.75Ti3-yNbyO12 (y=0.0, 0.03, 0.09, 0.15, 0.21) were synthesized using the solid-state reaction method. The effects of Nb doping on ferroelectric properties were studied through dielectric and P-E measurements. The value of Pr increases with increasing Nb content. Bi3.25La0.75Ti3-yNbyO12 ceramics exhibit a maximum remanent polarization of Pr=27 μC/cm2 at an Nb content of y=0.09. These results indicate that Nb doping can improve the ferroelectric properties of BLT ceramics. The Curie temperature, Tc, decreased with increasing Nb-content, and the ferroelectric phase transition of BLTNy is a second-order transition without thermal hysteresis. Polycrystalline ceramic samples of Bi2Sn2−xTixO7 (x=0.00, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8) have been synthesized by standard high temperature solid state reaction method. The effect of homovalent cation (titanium) substitution on the Sn-site on the structural and electrical properties of the pure Bi2Sn2O7 ceramic have been studied by X-ray diffraction followed by SEM, dielectric and dc conductivity studies. The structural analysis indicates that the increase of titanium contents do not lead to any secondary phase. The frequency and temperature dependent dielectric studies have been carried out. It is found that the Ti doping reduces the material particle size. The size of the particles are strongly influenced by the addition of titanium to the system. The substitution of Ti for Sn ions affected the degree of disorder and modified the dielectric properties leading to more resistive ceramic compounds. The activation energies of all the compounds were calculated using the relation σ=σ0exp(−Ea/kT).  相似文献

In this study, monophasic Bax(Na0.5Bi0.5)1−xBi4Ti4O15 (x=0.03, 0.06, 0.09 and 0.12) ceramics fabricated from the powders synthesized via the solid-state reaction route exhibited relaxor behavior. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the barium-modified Na0.5Bi4.5Ti4O15 ceramics have a pure four-layer Aurivillius phase structure. Dielectric properties and phase transitions were studied and are explained in terms of lattice response of these ceramics. A shift in ferroelectric–paraelectric phase transition (Tc) to lower temperatures and a corresponding increase in permittivity peak with increasing concentration of Ba2+ are also observed. The decrease of orthorhombicity in the lattice structure by the larger Ba2+ ion incorporation, indicating an approach of a and b parameters, results in lower Curie temperature. The piezoelectric activity of Na0.5Bi4.5Ti4O15 (NBT) ceramics was significantly improved by the modification of barium. The Curie temperature Tc and piezoelectric coefficient d33 for the composition with x=0.12 were found to be 635 °C and 21 pC/N, respectively. The relationship of polarization with lattice response is discussed.  相似文献

Ba5−xLaxNb4−xTixO15 solid solutions were prepared by solid state reaction method. Structural analysis for the stoichiometric phases was performed for x=0, 1, 2 and 3 by Rietveld analysis of neutron powder diffraction data. The x=0, 1 and 2 members could be refined in the space group P-3m1 (stacking sequence chhcc, polytypoid 5 H). There is a decrease in cell volume as x increases. La3+ occupies preferentially the A2 site (Wyckoff site 2d) and Ti4+ the B2 site (Wyckoff site 2c). As x increases there is an increase of the global instability index (GII) (which is a measure of the extent to which the BVS rule is violated over the whole structure) indicating the presence of intrinsic strains large enough to cause instability at room temperature. This strain is responsible for a structural change for the member with x=3, which could be refined in the space group P-3c1 (stacking sequence (chhcc)2, polytypoid 2×5H=10H). This change in space group is associated with a cooperative rotation of (Nb/Ti)O6 octahedra around the c-axis, necessary to accommodate the smaller La3+ ion in the cuboctahedral cavity.  相似文献

La/Mn co-doped Bi4Ti3O12 ceramics,Bi3.25La0.75Ti3-xMnxO12(x=0.02,0.04,0.06,0.08),were prepared by the solid-state reaction method.The influence of manganese substitution for the titanium part in Bi 3.25 La 0.75 Ti 3 O 12 on the sintering behaviour,microstructure,Raman spectra and electrical properties was investigated.The experimental results show that the phase composition of all samples with and without manganese doping,sintered at 1000 ℃,consists of a single phase with a bismuth-layered structure belonging to the crystalline phase Bi4Ti3O12.There is no evidence of any impurity phase,but a small change in crystallographic orientation is observed.The Curie temperature of Bi3.25La0.75Ti3-xMnxO12 ceramics is steadily shifted to lower temperature with increasing Mn-doping content.Moreover,the remnant polarisation(Pr) of Bi3.25La0.75Ti2.92Mn0.08O12 samples increases with Mn-doping content,and the Bi3.25La0.75Ti2.92Mn0.08O12 sample exhibits the largest P r of 16.6 μC/cm 2.  相似文献

Bi4Ti3O12 (BiT), Bi3.25La0.75Ti3O12 (BLT), Bi4−x/3Ti3−xNbxO12 (BTN) and Bi3.25−x/3La0.75Ti3−xNbxO12 (BLTN) thin films have been prepared by pulsed laser deposition. BTN and BLTN films exhibit a maximum in the remanent polarization Pr at a Nb content x=0.018. At this Nb content, the BLTN film has a Pr value (25 μC/cm2) that is much higher than that of BiT and a coercive field similar to that of BiT. The polarization of this BLTN film is fatigue-free up to 109 switching cycles. The high fatigue resistance is mainly due to the substitution of Bi3+ ions by La3+ ions at the A site and the enhanced Pr arises largely from the replacement of Ti4+ ions by Nb5+ ions at the B site. The mechanisms behind the effects of the substitution at the two sites are discussed.  相似文献

Ceramics with the nominal composition of SrBi4−xLaxTi4O15 have been prepared within the range of 0≤x≤1.8, and the dielectric properties are investigated. Single phase SrBi4−xLaxTi4O15 solid solution exists until the secondary phase of La2/3TiO3 appears at x=1.6. The Curie temperature is 520 °C for pure SrBi4Ti4O15, and it shifts to low temperature with increasing x, which is due to the smaller structural distortion caused by La3+ substitution. In addition, the dielectric constant anomaly is suppressed with the substitution. No dielectric relaxation behavior is observed. When x≥1.2, the paraelectric state is attained in the present ceramics. La3+ substitution effects on the SrBi4Ti4O15 ceramics are also compared with the previous work on Bi4−xLaxTi3O12.  相似文献

Lanthanum-substituted bismuth titanate, Bi3.5La0.5Ti3O12 (i.e., x=0.5 in Bi4−xLaxTi3O12), thin films have been grown on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates using pulsed laser deposition. The frequency dependence of the real part ε′(ω) and the imaginary part ε″(ω) of the dielectric constant has been studied. The ε′(ω) does not show any sudden change within the frequency range of 102-106 Hz. In contrast, the ε″(ω) shows a large dispersion as frequency decreases. The observed relaxation behavior in ε″(ω) can be explained in terms of a migration of oxygen vacancies in (Bi2O2)2+ layers, not in Bi2Ti3O10 perovskite layers.  相似文献

Highly c-axis oriented lanthanum-modified bismuth titanate (Bi4−xLaxTi3O12) films having a variety of lanthanum (La) contents were grown on Pt/TiO2/SiO2/Si(100) substrates using metal-organic sol deposition and subsequent annealing at 650 °C for 1 h. After systematically examining the ferroelectric properties of Bi4−xLaxTi3O12 films as a function of the La-content, it was concluded that the film with x=0.85 had the largest remanent polarization in the direction parallel to the c-axis. The Pt/Bi3.15La0.85Ti3O12/Pt capacitor showed a well-saturated polarization-electric field (P-E) switching curve with the switching remanent polarization (2Pr) value of 33 μC/cm2 and the coercive field (Ec) of 68 kV/cm at an applied voltage of 10 V. More importantly, the capacitor exhibited fatigue-free behavior up to 6.5×1010 read/write switching cycles at a frequency of 1 MHz. The capacitor also demonstrated an excellent charge-retaining ability and a strong resistance against the imprinting failure.  相似文献

Spinel compounds Li4Ti5−xAlxO12/C (x=0, 0.05) were synthesized via solid state reaction in an Ar atmosphere, and the electrochemical properties were investigated by means of electronic conductivity, cyclic voltammetry, and charge-discharge tests at different discharge voltage ranges (0-2.5 V and 1-2.5 V). The results indicated that Al3+ doping of the compound did not affect the spinel structure but considerably improved the initial capacity and cycling performance, implying the spinel structure of Li4Ti5O12 was more stable when Ti4+ was substituted by Al3+, and Al3+ doping was beneficial to the reversible intercalation and deintercalation of Li+. Al3+ doping improved the reversible capacity and cycling performance effectively especially when it was discharged to 0 V.  相似文献

Zr-modified Auruvillius family of lanthanum bismuth titanate, namely Bi3.25La0.75Ti3?xZrxO12 (BLTZ, x = 0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and 1), was prepared by solid-state reaction method. Dielectric properties of the ceramics were studied as a function of temperature. Hysteresis measurements were also performed. Among the composition, Bi3.25La0.75Ti2.9Zr0.1O12 (BLTZ1) showed large remnant polarization compared to the promising ceramic, namely Bi3.25La0.75Ti3O12. The results were corroborated with the pyroelectric, electric polarization and Raman spectroscopic data.  相似文献

The effects of mercury doping on the superconductivity, crystal structure, and electronic structure have been investigated in Hg-doped BaPb0.75Bi0.25O3 (BaPb0.75−xHgxBi0.25O3, BPHBO) by magnetic measurement, powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), and X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS). At lower doping levels, the system is metallic and superconducting. However, the superconductivity is fully suppressed by Hg doping at x>0.25 and recovered with further increase in Hg content at x>0.3, showing a superconductivity reentrant phenomenon. XPS analysis reveals that BPHBO experiences dual metal-insulator transitions (MITs) at these two superconductivity points, which are accompanied by lattice distortions, suggesting that they may be driven by Peierls transitions. The first MIT may be a Mott-transition, while the second may be due to competition between the band filling effect and modification of the charge-disproportionate state.  相似文献

Detailed investigations into the dielectric dispersion phenomenon in the giant dielectric constant material CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) around room temperature revealed the existence of two successive dielectric relaxations. In the temperature domain, a new dielectric relaxation was clearly observed around 250 K, in addition to the well-investigated dielectric relaxation close to 100 K. The effect of sintering and doping (La3+) on the strength of these dielectric relaxations were studied in detail. The sintering temperature as well as its duration was found to have tremendous influence on the dielectric relaxation that was encountered around 250 K. This Maxwell-Wagner (M-W) type of relaxation was found to be originating from the surface layer containing the Cu-rich phase, which was ascribed to the difference in the oxygen content between the surface and the interior of the sample. Interestingly, this particular additional relaxation was not observed in La2/3Cu3Ti4O12, a low dielectric constant member of the CCTO family, in which the segregation of Cu-rich phase on the surface was absent. Indeed the correlation between the new relaxation and the presence of Cu-rich phase in CCTO ceramics was further corroborated by the absence of the same after removing the top and bottom layers.  相似文献

We report on the enhanced electromechanical, magnetic and magnetoelectric properties of Bi1−xCaxFe1−xTixO3 solid solutions. The crystal structure of the x≈0.25 compounds are close to the rhombohedral-orthorhombic phase boundary, and the solid solutions are characterized by increased electromechanical properties due to the polarization extension near the polar-nonpolar border. The homogenous weakly ferromagnetic state is established at x>0.15 doping. The chemical doping shifts the magnetic transition close to room temperature, thus enlarging the magnetic susceptibility of the compounds. The solid solutions at the morphotropic phase boundary exhibit a nearly twofold increase in piezoelectric response, whereas the magnetoelectric coupling shows five times enhancement in comparison with the parent bismuth ferrite.  相似文献

The influence of La2O3 and Tm2O3 co-doping on the dielectric properties and the temperature stability of BaTiO3 was investigated. BaTiO3 ceramics were prepared with the compositional formula of (Ba1−xLax)(Ti1-x/4−yTmy)O3. La2O3 and Tm2O3 co-doping in BaTiO3 mainly had effects on an increase in the dielectric constant and the temperature stability, respectively. The increase of La2O3 concentration and the decrease of Tm2O3 concentration in BaTiO3 resulted in a decrease of lattice parameter and tetragonality because La3+ ion substituting for Ba site is smaller than Ba2+ ion and Tm3+ ion substituting for Ti site is larger than Ti4+ ion. With the increase of La2O3 and the decrease of Tm2O3, the dielectric constant of BaTiO3 was enhanced in spite of the reduction of tetragonality. P-E hysteresis measurements revealed that this phenomenon was based on the improvement of remanent polarization with the increase of La2O3 concentration. The introduction of excess Tm2O3 in BaTiO3 suppressed the grain growth and BaTiO3 ceramics showed higher temperature stability due to the stable tetragonal structure and the small grain size with the increase of Tm2O3 concentration.  相似文献

Photovoltaic response in the heterojunction of La1-x SrxMnO3/SrNby Ti1-yO3 (LSMO/SNTO) is analyzed theoretically based on the drift-diffusion model. It is found that the decrease of acceptor concentration in the La1-xSrxMnO3 layer of hereto junction can increase the peak value of photovoltaic signal and the speed of photovoltaic response, whereas the changing of donor concentration in the SrNby Ti1-yO3 layer has no such evident effect. Furthermore, the result also indicates that the modulation of Sr doping in La1-xSrxMnO3 is an effective method to accommodate the sensitivity and the speed of photovoltaic response for LSMO/SNTO photoelectric devices.  相似文献
