Let ϕ be an associative commutative ring with unity containing 1/6. Let A and B be a free Mal’tsev and a free alternative ϕ-algebras on a set of k≥6 free generators, respectively. We construct nonzero homogeneous elements of degree 7 belonging to an annihilatorAnnA of A, and nonzero homogeneous elements of degree 7 belonging to the center Z(B) of B. It is shown that a nilpotent Mal’tsev algebra of index 8 on a set of 6 generators has no faithful representation. In this paper we consider the variety V P of algebras with one unary and one ternary operation p that satisfies the Pixley identities, provided that operations are permutable. We describe the structure of a free algebra of the variety V P and study the structure of unary reducts of free algebras. We prove the solvability of the word problem in free algebras and the uniqueness of a free basis; we also describe groups of automorphisms of free algebras. Similar results are obtained for free algebras of a subvariety of the variety V P defined by the identities p(p(x, y, z), y, z) = p(x, y, z) and p(x, y, p(x, y, z)) = p(x, y, z).  相似文献

We prove that a regular category ? is a Mal’tsev category if and only if a strong form of the denormalised 3 × 3 Lemma holds true in ?. In this version of the 3 × 3 Lemma, the vertical exact forks are replaced by pullbacks of regular epimorphisms along arbitrary morphisms. The shape of the diagram it determines suggests to call it the Cuboid Lemma. This new characterisation of regular categories that are Mal’tsev categories (= 2-permutable) is similar to the one previously obtained for Goursat categories (= 3-permutable). We also analyse the “relative” version of the Cuboid Lemma and extend our results to that context.  相似文献

We construct an explicit isomorphism between blocks of cyclotomic Hecke algebras and (sign-modified) cyclotomic Khovanov-Lauda algebras in type A. These isomorphisms connect the categorification conjecture of Khovanov and Lauda to Ariki’s categorification theorem. The Khovanov-Lauda algebras are naturally graded, which allows us to exhibit a non-trivial ℤ-grading on blocks of cyclotomic Hecke algebras, including symmetric groups in positive characteristic.  相似文献

We deal with adjoint commutator and Jordan algebras of isotopes of prime strictly (1, 1)-algebras. It is proved that a system of identities of the form [x 1, x 2, x 2, x 3,…, x n ] for n = 2,., 5 is discernible on isotopes of prime (−1, 1)-algebras. Also it is shown that adjoint Jordan algebras for suitable isotopes of prime (−1, 1)-algebras may possess distinct sets of identities. In particular, isotopes of a prime Jordan monster have different sets of identities in general.  相似文献

Let σ be an automorphism of a field K with fixed field F. We study the automorphisms of nonassociative unital algebras which are canonical generalizations of the associative quotient algebras K[t;σ]∕fK[t;σ] obtained when the twisted polynomial fK[t;σ] is invariant, and were first defined by Petit. We compute all their automorphisms if σ commutes with all automorphisms in AutF(K) and nm?1, where n is the order of σ and m the degree of f, and obtain partial results for n<m?1. In the case where KF is a finite Galois field extension, we obtain more detailed information on the structure of the automorphism groups of these nonassociative unital algebras over F. We also briefly investigate when two such algebras are isomorphic.  相似文献

Let M be a left R-module. In this paper a generalization of the notion of m-system set of rings to modules is given. Then for a submodule N of M, we define := { m ε M: every m-system containing m meets N}. It is shown that is the intersection of all prime submodules of M containing N. We define rad R (M) = . This is called Baer-McCoy radical or prime radical of M. It is shown that if M is an Artinian module over a PI-ring (or an FBN-ring) R, then M/rad R (M) is a Noetherian R-module. Also, if M is a Noetherian module over a PI-ring (or an FBN-ring) R such that every prime submodule of M is virtually maximal, then M/rad R (M) is an Artinian R-module. This yields if M is an Artinian module over a PI-ring R, then either rad R (M) = M or rad R (M) = ∩ i=1 n for some maximal ideals of R. Also, Baer’s lower nilradical of M [denoted by Nil* ( R M)] is defined to be the set of all strongly nilpotent elements of M. It is shown that, for any projective R-module M, rad R (M) = Nil*( R M) and, for any module M over a left Artinian ring R, rad R (M) = Nil*( R M) = Rad(M) = Jac(R)M. Let Abd be a variety of Abelian groups of a finite exponent d≥1 and SC (Abd) be the set of all strong Mal’tsev conditions satisfied in Abd. We define the concept of a η-basis in SC(Abd) in terms of a basis w.r.t. a class η of varieties with commutative operations. The algorithm for constructing η-bases of any finite length in SC(Abd) is presented. For the variety Ab of all Abelian groups, we specify absolute bases of length 2 in SC(Ab) which are simultaneously η-bases. Bases of length 2 with similar properties are constructed also in SC(Abd), for any natural number d≥2. Translated fromAlgebra i Logika, Vol. 38, No. 6, pp. 723–742, November–December, 1999.  相似文献

Let U be a quantized enveloping algebra and  its modified form.Lusztig gives some symmetries on U and.In view of the realization of U by the reduced Drinfeld double of the Ringel-Hall algebra, one can apply the BGP-reflection functors to the double Ringel-Hall algebra to obtain Lusztig's symmetries on U and their important properties, for instance, the braid relations. In this paper,we define a modified form ■ of the Ringel-Hall algebra and realize the Lusztig's symmetries on  by applying the BGP-reflection functors to ■.  相似文献

We characterize algebras of transformations on a set under the operations of composition and the pointwise switching function defined as follows: (f,g)[h,k](x)=h(x) if f(x)=g(x), and k(x) otherwise. The resulting algebras are both semigroups and comparison algebras in the sense of Kennison. The same characterization holds for partial transformations under composition and a suitable generalisation of the quaternary operation in which agreement of f,g includes cases where neither is defined. When a zero element is added (modelling the empty function), the resulting signature is rich enough to encompass many operations on semigroups of partial transformations previously considered, including set difference and intersection, restrictive product, and a functional analog of union. When an identity element is also added (modelling the identity function), further domain-related operations can be captured.  相似文献
