For the sixth-order equation of the K 2 hierarchy, we establish conditions for the existence of families of polar solutions, construct polynomial Hamiltonians and Bäcklund transformations, represent meromorphic solutions via a ratio of special entire functions, and give a criterion for the existence of rational solutions.  相似文献

The N = 2 supersymmetric KdV equations are studied within the framework of Hirota bilinear method. For two such equations, namely N = 2, a = 4 and N = 2, a = 1 supersymmetric KdV equations, we obtain the corresponding bilinear formulations. Using them, we construct particular solutions for both cases. In particular, a bilinear Bäcklund transformation is given for the N = 2, a = 1 supersymmetric KdV equation.  相似文献

We study extensions of N-wave systems with PT symmetry and describe the types of (nonlocal) reductions leading to integrable equations invariant under the P (spatial reflection) and T (time reversal) symmetries. We derive the corresponding constraints on the fundamental analytic solutions and the scattering data. Based on examples of three-wave and four-wave systems (related to the respective algebras sl(3,C) and so(5,C)), we discuss the properties of different types of one- and two-soliton solutions. We show that the PT-symmetric three-wave equations can have regular multisoliton solutions for some specific choices of their parameters.  相似文献

Novikov superalgebras are related to quadratic conformal superalgebras which correspond to the Hamiltonian pairs and play a fundamental role in completely integrable systems. In this note we show that the Novikov superalgebras with A 0 = A 1 A 1 and dim A 1 = 2 are of type N and give a class of Novikov superalgebras of type S with A 0 = A 1 A 1.  相似文献

We investigate pairs of forbidden subgraphs that imply a 3-connected graph is Hamiltonian-connected. In particular we show that the pair {K 1,3, P 9} is such a pair. As it is known that P 10 cannot replace P 9, this result is best possible. Further, we show that certain other graphs are not possible.  相似文献

In this paper, we extend the (S) + 1 condition to multivalued mappings in an ordered Hausdorff topological vector space and we derive some existence results for generalized vector variational inequalities associated with multivalued mappings satisfying the (S) + 1 condition. We generalize also an existence result of Cubiotti and Yao for generalized variational inequalities of class (S) + 1 to barreled normed spaces. As consequences, some existence results for vector variational inequalities are established.This work was partially supported by grants from the National Science Council of the Republic of China. We introduce the concept of Lp-maximal regularity for second order Cauchy problems. We prove Lp-maximal regularity for an abstract model problem and we apply the abstract results to prove existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions for nonlinear wave equations. Given 1≤ p,q < ∞, let BLpLq be the class of all Banach lattices X such that X is isometrically lattice isomorphic to a band in some Lp(Lq)-Banach lattice. We show that the range of a positive contractive projection on any BLpLq-Banach lattice is itself in BLpLq. It is a consequence of this theorem and previous results that BLpLq is first-order axiomatizable in the language of Banach lattices. By studying the pavings of arbitrary BLpLq-Banach lattices by finite dimensional sublattices that are themselves in this class, we give an explicit set of axioms for BLpLq. We also consider the class of all sublattices of Lp(Lq)-Banach lattices; for this class (when p/q is not an integer) we give a set of axioms that are similar to Krivine’s well-known axioms for the subspaces of Lp-Banach spaces (when p/2 is not an integer). We also extend this result to the limiting case q = ∞.  相似文献

We develop an exact closed-form expression for the steady-state availability of a repairable, N-server system in which the ith server contains n i identical, reconfigurable, breakdown-prone units. Our approach, which follows from the Markov chain balance equations and the recursive properties of Hessenberg matrix determinants, is simpler than previously proposed matrix geometric approaches, and can readily be adapted to the availability analysis of more complicated structures. We illustrate this by computing the steady-state availability of a mixed parallel-serial gracefully degrading replicated system.  相似文献

As the main result, we show that if G is a finite group such that Γ(G) = Γ(2 F 4(q)), where q = 22m+1 for some m ≧ 1, then G has a unique nonabelian composition factor isomorphic to 2 F 4(q). We also show that if G is a finite group satisfying |G| =|2 F 4(q)| and Γ(G) = Γ(2 F 4(q)), then G2 F 4(q). As a consequence of our result we give a new proof for a conjecture of W. Shi and J. In this paper, we characterize a C *-subalgebra C *(x) of B(H), generated by a single operator x. We show that if x is polar-decomposed by aq, where a is the partial isometry part and q is the positive operator part of x, then C *(x) is *-isomorphic to the groupoid crossed product algebra Aq×a\mathbbGa\mathcal{A}_{q}\times_{\alpha }\mathbb{G}_{a} , where Aq=C*(q)\mathcal{A}_{q}=C^{*}(q) and \mathbbGa\mathbb{G}_{a} is the graph groupoid induced by a partial isometry part a of x.  相似文献

We shall first present an explicit realization of the simple N = 4 superconformal vertex algebra L c N?=?4 with central charge c = ?9. This vertex superalgebra is realized inside of the bcβγ system and contains a subalgebra isomorphic to the simple affine vertex algebra L A1 \( \left(-\frac{3}{2}{\varLambda}_0\right) \). Then we construct a functor from the category of L c N?=?4 -modules with c = ?9 to the category of modules for the admissible affine vertex algebra L A1 \( \left(-\frac{3}{2}{\varLambda}_0\right) \). By using this construction we construct a family of weight and logarithmic modules for L c N?=?4 and L A1 \( \left(-\frac{3}{2}{\varLambda}_0\right) \). We also show that a coset subalgebra L A1 \( \left(-\frac{3}{2}{\varLambda}_0\right) \) is a logarithmic extension of the W(2; 3)-algebra with c = ?10. We discuss some generalizations of our construction based on the extension of affine vertex algebra L A1 ( 0) such that k + 2 = 1/p and p is a positive integer.  相似文献

We define K-homology groups K * () for small C * -categories in terms of Hilbert modules over the C * -category . We also define a functor A f from the category of small C * -categories into the category of C * -algebras and show that there is a natural isomorphism . In addition, we give an easy construction of a functor from the category of C * -algebras into the category of symmetric spectra which represents K-homology, i.e. we show that the functor comes with a natural isomorphism for C * -algebras A. It then follows that the composition A f provides a functor that can be used in the Davis-Lück approach for constructing the Baum-Connes map.  相似文献

In this paper, we reformulate the Euler-Lagrange equations of Willmore surfaces in S^n as the flatness of a family of certain loop algebra-valued 1-forms. Therefore we can give the Weierstrass type representation of conformal Willmore surfaces. We also discuss the relations between conformal Willmore surfaces in S^n and minimal surfaces in constant curvature spaces S^n, R^n, H^n, and prove that some special Willmore surfaces can be derived from minimal surfaces in S^n, R^n, H^n.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group. The main result of this paper is as follows: If G is a finite group, such that Γ(G) = Γ(2G2(q)), where q = 32n+1 for some n ≥ 1, then G has a (unique) nonabelian composition factor isomorphic to 2 G 2(q). We infer that if G is a finite group satisfying |G| = |2 G 2(q)| and Γ(G) = Γ (2 G 2(q)) then G ? = 2 G 2(q). This enables us to give new proofs for some theorems; e.g., a conjecture of W. Shi and J. Bi. Some applications of this result are also considered to the problem of recognition by element orders of finite groups.  相似文献
