THE NONLINEAR SINGULARLY PERTURBED PROBLEMS FOR REACTION DIFFUSION EQUATIONS WITH BOUNDARY PERTURBATION

The nonlinear singularly perturbed problems for reaction diffusion equations with boundary perturbation are considered. Under suitable conditions, using the theory of differential inequalities the asymptotic behavior of solution for the initial boundary value problems is studied.     

Application of invariant imbedding to linear multipoint boundary value problems with general boundary conditions

Two extensions of the usual application of invariant imbedding to the solution of linear boundary value problems are presented. The invariant imbedding formulation of a linear two point boundary value problem in which functional relationships are given between the variables at either one or both of the boundary points is presented. Also, extension of invariant imbedding to linear multipoint boundary value problems is given. Using these extensions singly or in combination, a general multipoint boundary value of linear ordinary differential equations can be solved. In addition, the problems of infinite initial conditions and / or indeterminate initial derivatives are resolved. Numerical examples demonstrate the feasibility and accuracy of the method.

And then using the theory of differential inequalities the asymptotic behavior of solution for the initial boundary value problems is studied. Finally the existence and uniqueness of solution for the original problem and the uniformly valid asymptotic estimation are discussed.

Initial boundary value problems for quasilinear symmetric hyperbolic systems with characteristic boundary

This paper is devoted to initial boundary value problems for quasi-linear symmetric hyperbolic systems in a domain with characteristic boundary. It extends the theory on linear symmetric hyperbolic systems established by Friedrichs to the nonlinear case. The concept on regular characteristics and dissipative boundary conditions are given for quasilinear hyperbolic systems. Under some assumptions, an existence theorem for such initial boundary value problems is obtained. Differentiability and its asymptotic analysis for nonlinear singularly perturbed boundary value problem

In this paper, we show differentiability of solutions with respect to the given boundary value data for nonlinear singularly perturbed boundary value problems and its corresponding asymptotic expansion of small parameter. This result fills the gap caused by the solvability condition in Esipova’s result so as to lay a rigorous foundation for the theory of boundary function method on which a guideline is provided as to how to apply this theory to the other forms of singularly perturbed nonlinear boundary value problems and enlarge considerably the scope of applicability and validity of the boundary function method. A third-order singularly perturbed boundary value problem arising in the theory of thin film flows is revisited to illustrate the theory of this paper. Compared to the original result, the imposed potential condition is completely removed by the boundary function method to obtain a better result. Moreover, an improper assumption on the reduced problem has been corrected.

开口弧段Γ上的双解析函数的Riemann边值问题与单位圆周L上双解析函数的Hilbert边值问题复合而成的一般复合边值问题,当L与Γ发生微小的光滑摄动后,借助于推广的拉甫伦捷夫近似于圆的共形映射,将星形域映为单位圆域,从而得出摄动后的问题的解的表达式,同时讨论了解的稳定性情况,并给出误差估计.

An initial value theory for linear causal boundary value problems

A new formalism in the theory of linear boundary value problems involving causal functional differential equations is presented. The approach depends on the construction of a differentiable family of boundary problems into which the original boundary value problem is imbedded. The formalism then generates an initial value problem which is equivalent to the family of imbedded problems. An important aspect of the method is that the equations in the initial value algorithm are ordinary differential equations rather than functional differential equations, although nonlinear and of higher dimension. Applications of the theory to differential-delay and difference equations are given.

A reliable treatment of singular Emden-Fowler initial value problems and boundary value problems

In this paper, the variational iteration method (VIM) is used to study the singular Emden-Fowler initial value problems and boundary value problems arising in physics and astrophysics. The VIM overcomes the singularity at the origin. The Lagrange multipliers for all cases of the equations are determined. The work is supported by analyzing few initial value problems and boundary value problems where the convergence of the results is emphasized.
