We revisit the approach proposed by F.L.  Chernousko to modeling the dynamics of a rigid body with a cavity entirely filled with a highly viscous fluid. Within the approach, a finite-dimensional model of the body+fluid system is offered and the influence of the fluid is represented as a special torque acting upon the body with solidified fluid. Our aim is to develop further and expand a few technical aspects of the Chernousko model. In particular, we offer a coordinate-free form for some essential formulas and consider the case of constrained dynamics. To illustrate the results obtained we explore the motion of a physical pendulum with a fluid-filled cavity on a rotating platform.  相似文献

The problem of motion of a pulsating solid (an infinitely long circular cylinder) in an oscillating viscous liquid in the presence (or absence) of an external stationary force is considered. The perturbation method is applied. It is found that the solution of the time-average motion of a body exists if and only if body pulsations, liquid vibrations, and external forces satisfy a certain relation. The presence of a plane analog of the phenomenon of predominantly unidirectional motion of a compressible solid in an oscillating liquid is established.  相似文献

The oscillations of a physical pendulum containing a spherical cavity filled with an incompressible viscous liquid were discussed in [1]. In this paper we consider the mote general problem of the motion of an axially symmetric solid with a spherical cavity filled with an incompressible viscous fluid and moving about a fixed point. A dynamic problem of an infinite isotropic cylinder of radius r subjected to boundary conditions of the radial stress, temperature, or concentration of the diffusing substance is studied by using the equations of state of a elastothermodiffusive solid with one relaxation time and the Laplace transform technique. An expression for the acoustic radiation force function on a solid elastic spherical particle placed in an infinite rigid cylindrical cavity filled with an ideal fluid is deduced when the incident wave is a plane progressive wave propagated along the cylindrical axis. The acoustic radiation force of the spherical particle with different materials was computed to validate the theory. The simulation results demonstrate that the acoustic radiation force changes demonstrably because of the influence of the reflective acoustic wave from the cylindrical cavity. The sharp resonance peaks, which result from the resonance of the fluid-filled cylindrical cavity, appear at the same positions in the acoustic radiation force curve for the spherical particle with different radii and materials. Relative radius, which is the ratio of the sphere radius and the cylindrical cavity radius, has more influence on acoustic radiation force. Moreover, the negative radiation forces, which are opposite to the progressive directions of the plane wave, are observed at certain frequencies.  相似文献

A study is made of the effect of a water sheath around a cylindrical explosive charge on the parameters of shock waves in rocks. A coupled problem for the detonation-product-water-rock system is examined within the framework of continuum mechanics. A binomial isentropic equation is used for the detonation products, water is modeled by a Tate-type equation, and the rock is modeled by an elastoplastic medium which undergoes dilatation. A numerical solution is obtained by a finite-difference scheme. The dependence of the wave processes in the rock and the dimensions of the crushing zone on the radius of the water sheath is studied with the use of sandstone and siltstone as examples.
