Photosensitive EPR measurements ofS-state centers of gallium and tin in ZnTe single crystals are reported. In addition to large hyperfine interaction with the impurity nuclei the spectra show partially resolved superhyperfine structures arising from three shells of tellurium ligands. Both HF and SHF splittings decrease with increasing temperature. The samples exhibitp-type photoconductivity with the same spectral sensitivity observed with the generation and depletion of the EPR-spectrum.  相似文献

Polymer electrolytes are an important component of many electrochemical devices. This paper reviews state-of-the-art of the electrochemical and physical properties of polymer electrolytes. This review mainly encompasses the properties of different salts, solvents, and polymer hosts, which are encaged in liquid electrolytes. The additions of filler in polymer electrolytes result in composite polymer electrolytes, having high mechanical integrity and ionic conductivity, that are ideal electrolyte for these applications. The next generation state-of-the-art room-temperature ionic liquids based electrolytes, which are far superior to corresponding nonionic solvent-based electrolytes, are also discussed. Mercury selenide and its ternary and quaternary modifications in the form Hg(A,B)Se with A, B magnetic ions, provide an interesting semiconductor family featuring different kinds of correlation effects. These effects manifest themselves already in three-dimensional, quasi-two-dimensional, and quasi-one-dimensional structures. We have succeeded now in fabricating HgSe:Fe quantum dots using three different growing procedures based on molecular beam epitaxy: (a) Stranski–Krastanov growth; (b) thermally activated surface reorganization; (c) pit filling. The special feature of the HgSe:Fe dots is the intrinsic population of the dot states by electrons, where a large amount of about 50–500 electrons form a many-electron system within a single dot. The formation of the dots was controlled in situ by RHEED. The morphology of the resulting structures was characterized by AFM. Subsequently, the electronic properties of the dots were investigated by megagauss magneto spectroscopy, indicating the presence of strong correlation effects as manifested in a 50% increase of the cyclotron mass in respect to that of structures with a higher dimensionality.  相似文献

A Tm:germanate fiber laser produced >0.25 mJ/ pulse in a 45 ns pulse. It is capable of producing multiple Q-switched pulses from a single pump pulse. With the addition of a diffraction grating, Tm:germanate fiber lasers produced a wide, but length dependent, tuning range. By selecting the fiber length, the tuning range extends from 1.88 to 2.04 μm. These traits make Tm:germanate lasers suitable for remote sensing of water vapor. PACS 42.55.Wd; 42.55.Xi  相似文献

制备了高发射效率的稀土多金属氧酸盐BPOM:Eu及ZrPOM:Eu荧光体,并对其结构及发光性质进行了研究。结果表明样品具有Keggin结构,Eu在两类样品中均有肉眼可见的在红光区的强发射。但在BPOM:Eu中以5D07F1磁偶极跃迁发射为主,在ZrPOM:Eu中以5D07F2电偶极跃迁发射为主。铕在ZrPOM:Eu中的对称性低于在BPOM:Eu中的对称性。这种差异也使铕离子的激发光谱具有不同的特征。铕在两种多金属氧酸盐中均有浓度猝灭,在BPOM:Eu中浓度为2.0%时发射强度最大;在ZrPOM:Eu中浓度为2.4%时发射强度最大。在ZrPOM:Eu中有较弱的配体到中心铕离子的能量传递,而在BPOM:Eu中却未观测到能量传递现象。  相似文献

Fabrication and properties of ZnO:Cu and ZnO:Ag thin films   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Thin films of ZnS and ZnO:Cu were grown by an original metal–organic chemical vapour deposition (MOCVD) method under atmospheric pressure onto glass substrates. Pulse photo-assisted rapid thermal annealing of ZnO:Cu films in ambient air and at the temperature of 700–800 C was used instead of the common long-duration annealing in a vacuum furnace. ZnO:Ag thin films were prepared by oxidation and Ag doping of ZnS films. At first a closed space sublimation technique was used for Ag doping of ZnO films. The oxidation and Ag doping were carried out by a new non-vacuum method at a temperature >500 C. Crystal quality and optical properties were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and photoluminescence (PL). It was found that the doped films have a higher degree of crystallinity than undoped films. The spectra of as-deposited ZnO:Cu films contained the bands typical for copper, i.e. the green band and the yellow band. After pulse annealing at high temperature the 410 and 435 nm photoluminescent peaks were observed. This allows changing of the emission colour from blue to white. Flat-top ZnO:Ag films were obtained with the surface roughness of 7 nm. These samples show a strong ultraviolet (UV) emission at room temperature. The 385 nm photoluminescent peak obtained is assigned to the exciton–exciton emission.  相似文献

Yb:YAG and Nd:YAG edge-pumped slab lasers   总被引:9,自引:0,他引:9  
Experimental demonstrations of two edge-pumped zigzag slab lasers are presented. The Nd:YAG slab laser generated 127 W of multimode output power with 300W of pump power. Preliminary results with a Yb:YAG slab produced 46 W of output power with 315W of pump power. The edge-pumped slab design permits symmetric conduction cooling and efficient pump absorption and accepts large-numerical-aperture pump sources.  相似文献

The luminescence of rare earth oxychlorides LnOCL:Bi (with Ln = La and Y) is studied in detail. The main excitation bands, responsible for the blue and UV fluorescences, are attributed to the bismuth activator substituting for Ln3+ in the rare earth tetragonal site. The weak shoulder of these bands and the complex decay times are assumed due to a parasitical phase, La2O3 or Y2O3 doped by bismuth, an X-ray analysis confirming their presence in the samples. Finally, the existence of these phases does not seem to have an important effect upon the interpretation of the luminescence processes of the main center, as shown by the configuration curve model.  相似文献

Preliminary investigations of thermoluminescent and thermoexoelectronic properties of transparent microstructured YAG:Nd and YAG:Yb ceramics are performed. Five peaks of thermostimulated luminescence are found for YAG:Nd in the VUV and UV ranges. Four and six peaks of thermostimulated exoemission are found for YAG:Yb and YAG:Nd, respectively. While there is a range of colours found in plants the predominant colour is green. Pigments in plants have several roles e.g. photosynthesis and signalling. If colour is to be used as a signal then it must stand out from green. However, one should be aware that there are also coloured compounds where we have not yet fully investigated the role of colour in their functions—they may have roles in, for example, defence or heat exchange.In this paper, we will describe the basic chemistry of the major pigments found in plants and especially floral pigments. We will then discuss their locations in parts of the flower (such as sepals, petals, pollen and nectar), the cells in which they are found and their sub-cellular locations.Floral pigments have a large role to play in pollination of flowers by animals. They can and are modified in many ways during the development of flowers in nature, for example, at emergence and post-pollination. There are a range of biochemical mechanisms of colour change both within flowers and in isolated pigments. Some of the factors influencing colour are temperature, co-pigments, pH, metals, sugars, anthocyanin stacking and cell shape.There is a renewed interest in analysing floral pigments and how they are modified partly because of advances in recombinant DNA technologies, but also because of pollinators and their significance to biodiversity and for evolutionary studies. There is continued strong interest from the horticultural industry for the introduction of new colours e.g. the blue rose and for the exploitation of natural dyes. Funding in this area may impact future research in a potentially beneficial way but it must not deflect us from science-based conservation.  相似文献
