A measurement of the residues from the 12C + 7Li reaction has been obtained for 7Li energies from 10 to 38 MeV. From these measurements the fusion cross sections and critical angular momenta for the 12C + 7Li system have been deduced. Cross sections for the 7Li(12C, t)16O reaction have been obtained for 12C energies from 54 to 62 MeV at θlab = 2.7°. The critical angular momenta obtained from the fusion cross sections have been used to perform Hauser-Feshbach calculations for the 12C(7Li, t)16O reaction. These calculations have been compared to measured angular distributions over a wide energy range. By comparing the fusion cross sections required by the Hauser-Feshbach calculations to fit the 12C(7Li, t)16O(8.87 MeV) reaction and the measured residue cross section it is estimated that at least 80 % of the measured residues are fusion products. The calculations also indicate that direct processes dominate the population of many 16O levels at forward angles and the 10.35 MeV state at backward angles. The necessity for using a critical angular momentum in Hauser-Feshbach calculations is discussed.  相似文献

The method of β-radiation detected nuclear magnetic resonance (β-NMR) was applied to 8Li in a 7Li3N single crystal. From NMR signals and spin-lattice relaxation rates the activation enthalpies for two distinct Li+ diffusion processes were deduced. Ultraslow diffusion corresponding to ionic jump rates down to 0.1 s?1 was observed. It could be confirmed that the static electric field gradients at the two inequivalent Li sites have opposite signs.  相似文献

The quadrupole interaction of nuclear spin polarized8Li (I=2) and9Li (I=3/2) in LiNbO3 has been studied at room temperature. The polarization was achieved by optical pumping of a fast atomic beam with circularly polarized laser light. The atoms were implanted into a hexagonal LiNbO3 single crystal and the quadrupole splitting ofβ-NMR spectra was measured. A ratio of ¦Q(9Li)/Q(8Li)¦=0.88(4) for the nuclear quadrupole moments was deduced, yielding a new value of ¦Q(9Li)¦=25.3 (9) mb for the quadrupole moment of9Li.  相似文献

The absolute cross section σ of the d(7Li, p)8Li reaction near the Ecm = 0.61 MeV resonance has been measured using a 7Li ion beam and a windowless gas target system filled with D2 gas. The proton yield of the reaction and the β-delayed α-activity of the residual nuclides 8Li were observed both concurrently with the elastic scattering yield, relating σ to the Rutherford scattering cross section σR. The resulting values, σ (from p) = 143.6 ± 8.9 mb and σ (from 8Li) = 151 ± 20 mb, lead to a weighted mean value of σ = 153 ± 6 mb (χ2 = 2.26) including all available values and σ = 146 ± 5 mb (χ2 = 0.05) removing some values from the data set. The consequences for the expected flux of high-energy solar neutrinos are discussed.  相似文献

Polarized8Li nuclei were produced in a Li3N single crystal by irradiation with polarized neutrons, Β-ray detected NMR signals and spin-lattice relaxation of8Li were observed between B and 300 K. In Li3N there are two non-equivalent Li sites. The corresponding two quadrupole split NMR spectra could be resolved. From the measured relaxation rates activation enthalpies for two diffusion processes were deduced.  相似文献

Free8Li (T 1/2=0.84 sec) atoms were polarized by spin exchange with optically pumped rubidium vapour. The8Li nuclei were produced by the reaction7Li(d, p)8Li in a thin LiF target. They recoiled into helium which was used as a buffer gas for optical pumping as well. Nuclear polarization up to 2% was detected by β-decay asymmetry. Rf transitions between hfs levels of the atomic ground state yielded the hfs separation ΔW=382.543(7) MHz. The nuclear spin assignmentI=2 was confirmed.  相似文献

The data for the 7Li + 9Be and 7Be + 9Be elastic scattering at the energies E lab(7Li) = 15.75 , 24, 30, 34, 63 and 130MeV and E lab(7Be) = 17 , 19 and 21MeV were analyzed within the optical model and coupled-reaction-channels method. The elastic and inelastic scattering, reorientation of 7Li , 7Be and 9Be as well as most important transfer reactions were included in the coupled-channels scheme. The resulting 7Li and 7Be potentials are very similar and have the same energy dependence. The real potential for recently derived 8Be + 9Be scattering potentials is very similar to that for 7Li , 7Be but the imaginary part of the 8Be one has a much greater strength at longer range.  相似文献

Quadrupole effects in NMR spectra of8Li(I =2+;T 1/2=0.84 s) in LiIO3 andLiNbO3 single crystals have been detected by use of a modified -NMR. The coupling constants for both crystals are in agreement with known ones. Field gradients in the crystals were measured by detecting pulsed-Fourier transformed NMR of7Li. The quadrupole moments deduced from both samples agree, and|Q(8Li; 2+)|=32.7±0.6 mb has been determined.  相似文献

Nuclear spin-lattice relaxation in Li20·2Si02 glass below 200 K has been studied using the asymmetric Β-decay radiation of polarized8Li (T1/2=0.Bs) nuclei produced by capture of polarized neutrons. Transients of the8Li polarization follow an exp(?√E/T1) law. The dependence of the spin-lattice relaxation rate ⊥¯1 1 on temperature T and magnetic field B can roughly be described by T¯1 1~T/B. The interpretation is based on the assumption that for8Li, contrary to7Li in the same glass, spin-diffusion is absent and that each probe nucleus is coupled by quadrupolar interaction to an individual distribution of nearby centres typical of glasses. The fluctuation of these centres causing relaxation may be induced by either a multi-phonon or a thermally activated motional process.  相似文献

The possibility to construct intercluster interaction potentials in continuous and discrete spectra is shown in one‐channel cluster model based on the classification of orbital states according to Young schemes. These potentials usually contain Pauli forbidden states, and correctly describe elastic scattering phase shifts taking into account resonance behavior and main characteristics of the bound states of nuclei in the considering cluster channel. The versions of intercluster interaction potentials describing the resonance nature of some phase shifts of the n7Li elastic scattering at low energies and the P2 ground state of 8Li in the n7Li cluster channel have been constructed for the demonstration of this approach. The possibility of describing the total cross sections of 7Li (n,γ)8Li within the energies from 5 meV (5 · 10‐3 eV) to 1 MeV, including resonance at 0.25 MeV, has been demonstrated for the potentials obtained in the potential cluster model with forbidden states.  相似文献

Single nucleon transfer reactions in collisions of 156 MeV6Li ions with6Li nuclei, leading to unstable final nuclei (5Li,5He) have been experimentally studied. The measured6Li(6Li,7Li)5Ligr and6Li(6Li,7Be)5Hegr differential cross sections have been analysed on the basis of a FR-DWBA procedure, looking to which extent the entrance channel optical potentials may account for the unknown exit channel potentials.  相似文献

Direct and sequential break-up of 7Li projectiles in the field of heavy target nuclei are studied on the basis of the Coulomb excitation approach. It is found that the experimental data observed for forward emission angles are fairly well described by Coulomb effects and that for angles more forward than 12° the direct (E1) break-up or 70 MeV7Li scattered from 120Sn exceeds considerably the resonant (E2) break-up mode via the 7/2 state in 7Li at Ex = 4.63 MeV.  相似文献

Highly excited states of the 8Li isotope are sought in absorption reactions of π? mesons stopped by 10,11B isotopes. The ground and three excited states of the 8Li isotope are observed in inclusive measurements of reactions 10B(π?, d)X and 11B(π?, t)X. The states with excitation energies E x ≈ 8.7 and 10.1 MeV are observed for the first time in correlation measurements of reactions 10B(π?, dt)X and 11B(π?, tt)X.  相似文献

Large cross-section reaction channels were measured in the systems 6Li( 7Li) + 208Pb with high statistical accuracy at 5(3) energies around the Coulomb barrier from 29 to 39 MeV. These channels were assigned (mainly) to the breakup of 6Li, very loosely bound, into α + d and to the breakup of 5Li, produced by n-transfer to the target, into α + p and to similar processes with 7Li beam. The cross-sections with 6Li, S α = 1.475 MeV, are systematically larger than the 7Li ones. This reflects, most likely, the higher binding energy of 7Li, S α = 2.468 MeV. Theoretical predictions for the 6Li + 208Pb system which include for 6Li breakup to continuum states within a continuum discretized coupled-channels approach (CDCC) and resonant breakup plus n-transfer with DWBA reproduce the angular distribution shapes but still underestimate the cross-sections by a factor ∼ 3. Absolute coincidence cross sections were measured for the reactions 6Li + 6Li → 3α, 6Li(6Li, 2α), and 6Li (6Li, 2d), where the latter two represent N-body (N ≧ 4) final states. Broad peaks from the 6Li (6Li, 2α) reaction are well described by a double spectator pole (DSP) model utilizing a Hulthén wave function, whereas near 40 MeV the DSP peaks are much narrower than predicted. A broad peak in the 3α final-state spectrum, attributed to a single-spectator pole (SSP) process, is well described with the same wave function. The SSP is the principal mechanism for the 3α reaction, in contrast to data near 40 MeV which show that sequential decay from 8Be levels is dominant.  相似文献

Dynamic nuclear polarization parameters, obtained at 75 G, are reported for 7Li ions in collision with several radical anions and with one radical cation. All systems show large negative 7Li N.M.R. enhancements indicative of weak scalar relaxation. However, radical induced relaxation rates derived from 7Li T 1 measurements suggest stronger complexing of lithium ions with radical anions than with the radical cation as would be expected from simple coulombic considerations. Translational modulation of the dipolar interaction best accounts for proton and radical cation dipolar relaxation rates while rotational modulation best accounts for the corresponding radical anion rates; this supports the interpretation above. A model for the lithium radical collision is proposed which implies that, for radical anions, scalar coupling is only apparently weak and that the low 7Li scalar relaxation rates observed result from scalar correlation times (τc = 10-8-10-9 s) longer than any yet observed by this technique. The model predicts that, for certain ranges of τc, increasing strength of complex formation should lead to smaller scalar relaxation rates and more negative enhancements, in contrast with the behaviour of fluorocarbons where the reverse was true. The predicted dependence of enhancement upon τc also suggests that 7Li enhancements should be extremely sensitive to variations in the chemical properties of the system.  相似文献

Local environments and dynamics of lithium ions in the binary lithium silicide Li13Si4 have been studied by 6Li MAS-NMR, 7Li spin-lattice relaxation time and site-resolved 7Li 2D exchange NMR measurements as a function of mixing time. Variable temperature experiments result in distinct differences in activation energies characterizing the transfer rates between the different lithium sites. Based on this information, a comprehensive picture of the preferred ionic transfer pathways in this silicide has been developed. With respect to local mobility, the results of the present study suggests the ordering Li6/Li7>Li5>Li1>Li4 >Li2/Li3. Mobility within the z=0.5 plane is distinctly higher than within the z=0 plane, and the ionic transfer between the planes is most facile via Li1/Li5 exchange. The lithium ionic mobility can be rationalized on the basis of the type of the coordinating silicide anions and the lithium-lithium distances within the structure. Lithium ions strongly interacting with the isolated Si4− anions have distinctly lower mobility than those the coordination of which is dominated by Si26− dumbbells.  相似文献

Angular distributions of the isospin-forbidden reaction6Li(6Li, d2)10 B 0+,1 were measured at six beam energies in the range from 3 to 8 MeV. The contribution of two-step transfer mechanism to the reaction under consideration was found to be negligible. Hauser-Feshbach model cross sections, obtained with parameters derived from a previous analysis of isospin-allowed reactions in the6Li +6Li system are consistent with the data, provided a 2% reduction factor reflecting isospin mixing of compound nucleus levels. From this factor an isospin-breaking matrix element of H c 2 1/213 keV was deduced. The presence of one broad or several resonances with (J P ,T)=(1, 1) or (2,1) concentrated at an excitation energy of about 30.3 MeV in12C seems to be responsible for the observed shape of angular distributions and their energy dependence.This work was supported by Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft under contact No. Fr575/2-1,2.  相似文献
