We construct a family of self-adjoint operators D N , ${N\in{\mathbb Z}}We construct a family of self-adjoint operators D N , N ? \mathbb Z{N\in{\mathbb Z}} , which have compact resolvent and bounded commutators with the coordinate algebra of the quantum projective space \mathbb CPlq{{\mathbb C}{\rm P}^{\ell}_q} , for any  ≥ 2 and 0 < q < 1. They provide 0+-dimensional equivariant even spectral triples. If is odd and N=\frac12(l+1){N=\frac{1}{2}(\ell+1)} , the spectral triple is real with KO-dimension 2 mod 8.  相似文献

A Dirac operator D on quantized irreducible generalized flag manifolds is defined. This yields a Hilbert space realization of the covariant first-order differential calculi constructed by I. Heckenberger and S. Kolb. All differentials df=i[D,f] are bounded operators. In the simplest case of Podle' quantum sphere one obtains the spectral triple found by L. Dabrowski and A. We consider Dirichlet realizations of Pauli-Fierz type operators generating the dynamics of non-relativistic matter particles which are confined to an arbitrary open subset of the Euclidean position space and coupled to quantized radiation fields. We find sufficient conditions under which their domains and a natural class of operator cores are determined by the domains and operator cores of the corresponding Dirichlet-Schrödinger operators and the radiation field energy. Our results also extend previous ones dealing with the entire Euclidean space, since the involved electrostatic potentials might be unbounded at infinity with local singularities that can only be controlled in a quadratic form sense, and since locally square-integrable classical vector potentials are covered as well. We further discuss Neumann realizations of Pauli-Fierz type operators on Lipschitz domains.  相似文献

We construct quantum stochastic integrals for the integrator being a martingale in a von Neumann algebra, and the integrand—a suitable process with values in the same algebra, as densely defined operators affiliated with the algebra. In this paper the transport of quantum particles in time-dependent random media is studied. In the white noise limit, a quantum model for collisions is obtained. We develop the first steps towards an analysis of geometry on the quantum spacetime proposed in Doplicher et al. (Commun Math Phys 172:187–220, 1995). The homogeneous elements of the universal differential algebra are naturally identified with operators living in tensor powers of Quantum Spacetime; this allows us to compute their spectra. We classify all the quasifinite highest-weight modules over the central extension of the Lie algebra of matrix quantum pseudo-differential operators, and obtain them in terms of representation theory of the Lie algebra (, R m ) of infinite matrices with only finitely many nonzero diagonals over the algebra R m = [t]/(t m+1). We consider magnetic Schrödinger operators on quantum graphs with identical edges. The spectral problem for the quantum graph is reduced to the discrete magnetic Laplacian on the underlying combinatorial graph and a certain Hill operator. In particular, it is shown that the spectrum on the quantum graph is the preimage of the combinatorial spectrum under a certain entire function. Using this Correspondence we show that the number of gaps in the spectrum of the Schrödinger operators admits an estimate from below in terms of the Hill operator independently of the graph structure.  相似文献

We consider the spectrum of a two-dimensional Pauli operator with a compactly supported electric potential and a variable magnetic field with a positive mean value. The rate of accumulation of eigenvalues to zero is described in terms of the logarithmic capacity of the support of the electric potential. Mirror manifolds to toric Calabi–Yau threefolds are encoded in algebraic curves. The quantization of these curves leads naturally to quantum-mechanical operators on the real line. We show that, for a large number of local del Pezzo Calabi–Yau threefolds, these operators are of trace class. In some simple geometries, like local \({\mathbb{P}^2}\), we calculate the integral kernel of the corresponding operators in terms of Faddeev's quantum dilogarithm. Their spectral traces are expressed in terms of multi-dimensional integrals, similar to the state-integrals appearing in three-manifold topology, and we show that they can be evaluated explicitly in some cases. Our results provide further verifications of a recent conjecture which gives an explicit expression for the Fredholm determinant of these operators, in terms of enumerative invariants of the underlying Calabi–Yau threefolds.  相似文献

Motivated by a recent proof of free choices in linking equations to the experiments they describe, I clarify some relations among purely mathematical entities featured in quantum mechanics (probabilities, density operators, partial traces, and operator-valued measures), thereby allowing applications of these entities to the modeling of a wider variety of physical situations. I relate conditional probabilities associated with projection-valued measures to conditional density operators identical, in some cases but not in others, to the usual reduced density operators. While a fatal obstacle precludes associating conditional density operators with general non-projective measures, tensor products of general positive operator-valued measures (POVMs) are associated with conditional density operators. This association together with the free choice of probe particles allows a postulate of state reductions to be replaced by a theorem. An application shows an equivalence between one form of quantum key distribution and another with respect to certain eavesdropping attacks.  相似文献

We use spectral projections of time operator in the Liouville space for simple quantum scattering systems in order to define a space of unstable particle states evolving under a contractive semi-group. This space includes purely exponentially decaying states that correspond to complex eigenvalues of this semi-group. Let Dt, ${0\;\leqslant\;t\;\leqslant\;1}$ be a 1-parameter family of Dirac type operators on a two-dimensional disk with m ? 1 holes. Suppose that all operators Dt have the same symbol, and that D1 is conjugate to D0 by a scalar gauge transformation. Suppose that all operators Dt are considered with the same elliptic local boundary condition. Our main result is a computation of the spectral flow for such a family of operators. The answer is obtained up to multiplication by an integer constant depending only on the number of holes in the disk.
