The component composition of the four species Achillea filipendulina, A. sudetica, A. ledebourii, and A. cartilaginea was studied by GC-MS. It was found that the principal components of the essential oil (%) were santolina alcohol (29.1) and
borneol (27.9) for A. filipendulina, linalool (11.8) and caryophyllene (8.9) for A. sudetica, germacrene D (20.55) for A. ledebourii, and α-thujone (26.15) and β-thujone (11.76) for A. cartilaginea. The chemical composition of the essential oils from A. sudetica, A. ledebourii, and A. cartilaginea was studied for the first time.

The essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of the rhizomes of Alpinia aquatica Rosc. syn. Alpinia melanocarpa and Alpinia malaccensis Roscoe were analysed by capillary gas chromatography and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Eighteen compounds, representing 98.4% of the essential oil were identified in A. aquatica rhizome oil, with β-sesquiphellandrene in 36.5% being the major constituent, while 20 compounds representing 99.7% of the rhizome oil of A. malaccensis were identified, among which methyl (E)-cinnamate (78.2%) was the major constituent. 相似文献

Summary A simple method was developed for the determination of the evaporation rate of essential oils and perfumery composition using
gas chromatography with temperature programming. The volatility of 19 essential oils and 17 perfumery composition was evaluated.
The method is useful for different comparative measurements. 相似文献

Summary The physicochemical properties of the oils of the seeds of seven plants of the family Cruciferae —Cakile maritima, Sisymbrium altissimum, Sisymbrium Loeselii, Descurainia Sophia, Erysimum cheiranthoides, Brassica amoracioides andCrambe pontica — have been studied and their fatty acid compositions have been determined. The results obtained showed no marked differences from those given in the literature.Zaporozhe Medical Institute. Ukrainian Scientific-Research Institute of the Oils and Fats Industry. Conclusions 1. The oils of wild almonds are very similar in fatty acid composition and physical and chemical properties to the oil of cultivated almonds.2. The oils ofAmygdalus bucharica andA. Petounnicovii have a higher content of triunsaturated glycerides than the oil of cultivated almonds.3. The replacement of cold pressing of almond kernels by low-temperature extraction does not adversely affect the quality of the oils. They do not contain any hydrocyanic acid and, according to pharmacological tests, can be recommended as medicinal oils.Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii, Vol. 6, No. 4, pp. 402–406, 1970 相似文献

Natural products frequently exert pharmacological activities. The present review gives an overview of the ethnobotany, phytochemistry and pharmacology of the Cedrus genus, e.g. cytotoxic, spasmolytic immunomodulatory, antiallergic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities. Cancer patients frequently seek remedies from traditional medicinal plants that are believed to exert less side effects than conventional therapy with synthetic drugs. A long-lasting goal of anti-cancer and anti-microbial therapy research is to find compounds with reduced side effects compared to currently approved drugs. In this respect, Cedrus species might be of interest. The essential oil isolated from Cedrus libani leaves may bear potential for drug development due to its high concentrations of germacrene D and β-caryophyllene. The essential oils from Cedrus species also show bioactivity against bacteria and viruses. More preclinical analyses (e.g. in vivo experiments) as well as clinical trials are required to evaluate the potential of essential oils from Cedrus species for drug development. 相似文献

Water distilled essential oils from aerial parts of the following Artemisia species (Compositae) were analyzed by GC/MS. The major component of the oils were as follows: 1,8-cineole inA. balchanorum (29.9%), camphor inA. leucodes (58.4%), andA. rhodantha (35.5%) and methyl eugenol inA. scoparia (27.5%).Materials presented at the 2nd International Conference of Natural Compounds.Published in Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii, No. 3, pp. 383–385, May–June, 1997. 相似文献
